극초정밀 다축 스테이지를 이용한 광소자 정렬 자동화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optical Element Alignment Automation using Multi-Axis Ultra Precision Stage)

  • The optical element was usually used in optical devices and optical transfer devices, but it has been recently used in communication, computer and medical equipment. With the development of very high speed optical-communication, the development of the kernel parts of optical communication has also increased. Presently, the alignment of the optical element is time consuming, and an effective alignment algorithm has not yet to be developed. In this paper, the alignment automation of the optical element is studied. The ultra precision stage is applied to an optical element alignment to improve the accuracy of the alignment. The automation program of the optical element alignment is developed by LabVIEW programming to save the alignment time. The alignment algorithms of the optical element consist of field search and peak search algorithms.

  • This paper summarizes economic considerations for building automation. While the market for energy management systems(EMS) has been exploding, there are many indications that the pendulum of hight expectations may have swung too far. This is a very important reason for energy management system in both existing and new buildings. Because facilities continue to expand in size and their operations grow more complex, the use of automated systems to control and monitor both programmable and nonprogrammed function becomes an economic necessity. The following is offered as engineerings of economic consideration for building automation systems. Not only get a complete return on investment but increase profits in a few years through savings incurred in labor, utilities fuel and extended equipment life.

  • Electric power distribution feeders are susceptible to faults caused by a variety of situations such as adverse weather conditions, tree contacts, equipment failure, accidents, etc. Distribution circuit faults result in a number of problems related to the reliability of service and customer power quality. In the past, the permanent interruption of customer service resulting from a blown fuse or a recloser lockout was the only factor which was used to determine service reliability. So we developed KODAS(Korea Distribution Automation System) with successful and had fieid-testing of Distribution Automation System in last three years at Kang-dong Branch Office. In performing the project, KEPRI has gained valuable experience, through dealing with many difficult problem. This paper is depicted about the circuit breaker coordination problems in the Underground for the Distribution Automation Feeder.

Design of Emergency Fire Fighting and Inspection Robot Riding on Highway Guardrail

  • Based on the problems of untimely Expressway fire rescue and backward traditional fire rescue methods, an emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is designed. The overall mechanical structure design of emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is completed by using three-dimensional design software. The target fire detection is realized by using the target detection algorithm of Yolov5; By selecting a variety of sensors and using the control method of multi algorithm fusion, the basic function of robot on duty early warning is realized, and it has the ability of intelligent fire extinguishing. The BMS battery charging and discharging system is used to detect the real-time power of the robot. The design of the expressway emergency fire fighting and inspection robot provides a new technical means for the development of emergency fire fighting equipment, and improves the reliability and efficiency of expressway emergency fire fighting.

  • In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the aviation industry is also growing remarkably with the development of artificial intelligence and networks, so it is necessary to study a new concept of crew resource management (CRM), which is required in the process of operating state-of-the-art equipment. The automation system, which has been treated only as a tool, is changing its role as a decision-making agent with the development of artificial intelligence, and it is necessary to set clear standards for the role and responsibility in the safety-critical field. We present a new perspective on the automation system in the CRM program through the understanding of the autonomous system. In the future, autonomous system will develop as an agent for human pilots to cooperate, and accordingly, changes in role division and reorganization of regulations are required.

  • Numerous pipe lines can be found on various plant-based industrial sites. These pipelines should be periodically checked for defects. Most of these pipelines are internally inaccessible and difficult to visually inspect. Therefore, the inspection is being carried out with the help of non-contact inspection equipment such as ultrasonic flaw detection equipment. The use of ultrasonic flaw detection equipment can raise time and efficiency issues. In order to solve this problem, we will study the basic technology necessary for the development of automated inspection system equipped with ultrasonic measuring equipment and verify the validity through the fabrication of the demonstration device.

  • Crawler-type hydraulic devices facilitate forward and backward driving of construction equipment by converting power into mechanical energy. The existing hydraulic device performance test process is time- and labor-intensive. This study aims to improve efficiency and productivity by automating the hydraulic device production performance test processes, which have been separately conducted so far. We also used SolidWorksⓇ, a 3D modeling program, and ANSYSⓇ, a structural analysis tool, for structural analysis and to verify the suitability of fixing pins required for connecting a hydraulic device to performance test equipment. Our results that employing an automated hydraulic device performance test process improves efficiency.

  • 2005년 건설기계의 등록대수가 32만대를 넘어서고 있다. 건설은 점차적으로 가계화되면서 인력감축, 생산성 및 품질의 향상을 가져왔다. 그리나 건설기계라는 관점에서 건설기계의 효과적인 작업 및 관리, 가동성 향상과 사회간접자본 시설물의 안전향상, 그리고 민원감소를 위하여 해결해야 할 문제들이 있다. 현재 건설업을 위한 정보통신기술의 실현성이 가속화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 주어진 문제를 해결하기 위하여 정보통신기술을 적용한 건설기계 관리시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 건설기계 관리시스템의 개발은 더 낳은 건설기계의 작업과 관리가 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Automation control and the data for control of industrial equipment for the diagnosis and prediction is a key to success in the 4th industrial revolution. It increases process efficiency and productivity through data collection, realtime monitoring, and the data analysis. However, university and research environment are still suffering from logging the data in manual way, and we occasionally loss the equipment data logging due to the lack of automatic data logging system. State variable presents the current condition of the equipment operation which is closely related to process result, and it is valuable to monitor and analyze the data for the equipment health monitoring. In this paper, we demonstrate the collection of equipment state variable data via programmable logic controller (PLC) and the visualization of the collected data over the Web access supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA). Test vehicle for the implementation of the suggested SCADA system is a relay switched physical vapor deposition system in the university environment.

  • 공학 교육의 수행 방법 중 하나인 가상 시뮬레이션 교육이 확산되고 있는 상황에서, 일반적인 온라인 교육은 이론적인 학습 위주의 수업, 간단한 소형 프로젝트의 실습만이 원격으로 이루어지고 있는 실정으로, 다양한 교육용 콘텐츠의 보급이 필요하다. 최근 스마트 팩토리의 확산으로 대부분의 생산 기업들은 자동제어를 이용하여 제품의 생산, 검수, 포장을 하고 있다. 자동화 설비의 동작은 전기를 이용하여 제어하고 있는 상황으로, 전기와 관련된 학습이 다양한 학과에서 운영되고 있으나, 전기의 특성상 안전상의 문제 및 실습 기자재의 고비용으로 온라인 학습이 어려운 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 전기 실습과 관련된 교육의 성취감을 향상시키기 위하여 시뮬레이션 기반의 전기 제어 패널 원격 교육 모델을 제안한다. 제안 모델의 실험을 통하여 학습자들은 기존 기자재의 사용에 의한 온라인 교육보다, 가상 시뮬레이션 교육의 만족도가 상승한 것을 확인하였으며, 향후 자동화 설비 교육의 기초 과정으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
