말지각의 기초표상: 음소 또는 변별자질 (The Primitive Representation in Speech Perception: Phoneme or Distinctive Features)

  • Using a target detection task, this study compared the processing automaticity of phonemes and features in spoken syllable stimuli to determine the primitive representation in speech perception, phoneme or distinctive feature. For this, we modified the visual search task(Treisman et al., 1992) developed to investigate the processing of visual features(ex. color, shape or their conjunction) for auditory stimuli. In our task, the distinctive features(ex. aspiration or coronal) corresponded to visual primitive features(ex. color and shape), and the phonemes(ex. /$t^h$/) to visual conjunctive features(ex. colored shapes). The automaticity is measured by the set size effect that was the increasing amount of reaction time when the number of distracters increased. Three experiments were conducted. The laryngeal features(experiment 1), the manner features(experiment 2), and the place features(experiment 3) were compared with phonemes. The results showed that the distinctive features are consistently processed faster and automatically than the phonemes. Additionally there were differences in the processing automaticity among the classes of distinctive features. The laryngeal features are the most automatic, the manner features are moderately automatic and the place features are the least automatic. These results are consistent with the previous studies(Bae et al., 2002; Bae, 2010) that showed the perceptual hierarchy of distinctive features.

Applying automation and Environment Treatment technology to the hazardous chemical and mixture processing, Through developed 'Mixture Automatic Machine for hazardous chemical Interruption type that is occurred at mixing rubber medicines', we try to decline worker's intensity of labour, Also overcomes solution of work evasion phenomenon and manpower supply and demand's difficulty by forming agreeable working environment and through the automatic scheme and mixture processing by preventing that hazardous chemical had known as disease causes of various importance disease is exposed to worker during the work. and we plan to do so that production of high added value product may be available.

사상채질 분류를 위한 안면부내 특징 요소 추출 (Facial Features Extraction for Sasang Constitution Classification)

  • 1. Objectives The purpose of this study is to objectify the diagnosis of Sasang Constitution. Using the methods of this study, it will improve to classificate Sasang Constitution. 2. Methods 1) Automatic feature extraction of human frontal faces for Sasang Constitution classification. 2) Color feature extraction of human frontal faces (1)Erosion filtering (skin-white, the other-black) (2) Median median 3. Results and Conclusions Observing a person's shape has been the major method for Sasang Constitution classification, which usually has been dependent upon doctor's intuition as of these days. We are developing an automatic system which provides objective basic data for Sasang Constitution classification. For this, in this paper, firstly, the signal processing techniques are applied to automatic feature extraction of human frontal faces for Sasang Constitution classification. The experiment is conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed system.

  • 현재 제조, 유통산업에서는 입출고 운영결과를 수기 작성, 전산 입력 또는 엑셀파일에 의존하는 물류를 운영하고 있다. 이에 수기 입력 오류, 전산 입력 오류, 실시간 데이터 처리 불가, 수량 부족/초과 문제 발생과 같이 물류를 운영하는데 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 RFID 기술을 활용하여 입출고 데이터 처리를 통한 입고 자동 검수 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 실시간 데이터 처리 및 자동 검수를 통해 기존 물류 운영 대비 RFID를 적용한 시스템의 비용 절감효과를 제안한다. RFID 기술을 적용하여 입출고 데이터를 현장에서 실시간으로 처리할 수 있으며 수량 부족/초과 문제도 현장에서 바로 조치할 수 있게 된다. 그럼으로써 현재 운영 시스템 대비 RFID 시스템을 통해 물류비를 절감할 수 있다.

An Automatic Strabismus Screening Method with Corneal Light Reflex based on Image Processing

  • Strabismus is one of the most common disease that might be associated with vision impairment. Especially in infants and children, it is critical to detect strabismus at an early age because uncorrected strabismus may go on to develop amblyopia. To this end, ophthalmologists usually perform the Hirschberg test, which observes corneal light reflex (CLR) to determine the presence and type of strabismus. However, this test is usually done manually in a hospital, which might be difficult for patients who live in a remote area with poor medical access. To address this issue, we propose an automatic strabismus screening method that calculates the CLR ratio to determine the presence of strabismus based on image processing. In particular, the method first employs a pre-trained face detection model and a 68 facial landmarks detector to extract the eye region image. The data points located in the limbus are then collected, and the least square method is applied to obtain the center coordinates of the iris. Finally, the coordinate of the reflective light point center within the iris is extracted and used to calculate the CLR ratio with the coordinate of iris edges. Experimental results with several images demonstrate that the proposed method can be a promising solution to provide strabismus screening for patients who cannot visit hospitals.

Development of a Real-Time Automatic Passenger Counting System using Head Detection Based on Deep Learning

  • A reliable automatic passenger counting (APC) system is a key point in transportation related to the efficient scheduling and management of transport routes. In this study, we introduce a lightweight head detection network using deep learning applicable to an embedded system. Currently, object detection algorithms using deep learning have been found to be successful. However, these algorithms essentially need a graphics processing unit (GPU) to make them performable in real-time. So, we modify a Tiny-YOLOv3 network using certain techniques to speed up the proposed network and to make it more accurate in a non-GPU environment. Finally, we introduce an APC system, which is performable in real-time on embedded systems, using the proposed head detection algorithm. We implement and test the proposed APC system on a Samsung ARTIK 710 board. The experimental results on three public head datasets reflect the detection accuracy and efficiency of the proposed head detection network against Tiny-YOLOv3. Moreover, to test the proposed APC system, we measured the accuracy and recognition speed by repeating 50 instances of entering and 50 instances of exiting. These experimental results showed 99% accuracy and a 0.041-second recognition speed despite the fact that only the CPU was used.

유전자알고리즘을 이용한 영상분할 문턱값의 자동선정에 관한 연구 (Automatic Thresholding Selection for Image Segmentation Based on Genetic Algorithm)

  • In this paper, we focus on the issue of automatic selection for multi-level threshold, and we greatly improve the efficiency of Otsu's method for image segmentation based on genetic algorithm. We have investigated and evaluated the performance of the Otsu and Valley-emphasis threshold methods. Based on this observation we propose a method for automatic threshold method that segments an image into more than two regions with high performance and processing in real-time. Our paper introduced new peak detection, combines with evolution algorithm using MAGA (Modified Adaptive Genetic Algorithm) and HCA (Hill Climbing Algorithm), to find the best threshold automatically, accurately, and quickly. The experimental results show that the proposed evolutionary algorithm achieves a satisfactory segmentation effect and that the processing time can be greatly reduced when the number of thresholds increases.

영상처리를 이용한 골프 스윙 자동 분석 특징의 추출 (Feature Extraction for Automatic Golf Swing Analysis by Image Processing)

  • 본 논문에서는 영상처리 기법을 이용하여 골프 스윙 자동 분석을 위한 특징 추출 방법을 제안하였다. 기존 대부분의 스윙 분석 시스템들이 골프 코치와 같은 전문가가 필요한 반면 제안한 특징 추출 방법을 이용하면 전문가의 도움 없이 중요한 스윙 특징을 추출할 수 있다. 추출한 특징은 어드레싱, 백스윙, 스윙탑, 포워드 스윙, 임팩트, 팔로우쓰루와 같은 키 프레임뿐만 아니라 손, 어깨, 클럽헤드, 발, 무릎과 같은 골퍼의 신체부위와 클럽의 위치까지 포함 한다. 제안한 방법의 효용성을 알기 위하여 스윙영상에 대하여 실험한 결과 제안한 방법이 중요한 골프 스윙 특징 추출에 유용함을 확인하였다.

  • In North-East asian countries, laver cultivation has been an important marine industry in coastal areas as well as fishery because laver (Porphyra) is nutrient-rich food and has been used in many Asian cuisines. Laver is characterized by high concentrations of fiber and minerals, a low fat content, and, in some cases, relatively high protein levels. In this paper we inplimented design of fully automatic laver harvesting, nowdays most peoples are used to collect a laver harvesting by human, it is very defficult working, due to wind, waves, and the weather conditions which is hard to stand on the ship and holding the seaweed nets it can be injurced human, this is the reason to we are developed automatic harvesting method, in this project we proposed automatic harvesting collect method which is operated without human. Mainly we design and developed automated ship, This ship is devided in to three parts frist part is supporting roller, second part is drum screener, thried part is lifting mechanism. Thise are operated with hydro pnumatic equimpment, this divice are control with micro controller. The system prototype has implemented and satisfied by the performance to realize the further level.
