UPFC의 스위칭레벨 상세 모의 및 동적 특성 고찰 (Study of Dynamic Characteristics of an UPFC Switching-Level Model)

  • The UPFC(Unified Power Flow Controller) controls the magnitude and phase of the series injected voltage to exchange the real and reactive power with transmission line. The UPFC consists of two inverters connected together through the DC link capacitor. This paper describes the detailed UPFC switching-level model. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) method is chosen to operate the inverters. Automatic voltage control mode and automatic power flow control mode is selected to control the UPFC. EMTP simulation is offered to obtain the basic operation characteristics of the UPFC and the dynamic characteristics of the UPFC is studied in detail.

  • The demand for automatic manufacturing systems is increasing. Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS) is usually considered as a soluting for the shop floor automation. One of the difficulties in FMS is the communications problem. Since various machineries with different communications protocoles are included, applying a unified scheme is almost impossible. Therefore, a systematic approach is a key point to solve the communication problem. A cell is difined as an automation unit where closely related for a job reside together. A cell is a messenger between upper level computers and lower level machine equipment. In this research, the fonctions of the cell are defined to have more capabilities than conventional cells since a cell can be often a total manufacturing system is a small to medium sized factory. The cell conducts communications with different machines through the communications schemes established here. A set of software system has been developed according to the defined communication. The software has been tested for a simulation and real experiments for proof.

  • The demand for automatic manufacturing systems is increasing. One of the crucial obstacles to the Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS) is the lack of excellent strategies for efficient operations. The aim of this research is constructing an automaton scheme in the low level of factories where various machineries are involved. An operating strategy is established for an automation unit named as a cell which resides between the upper level computers and manufacturing shop floor. The cell is defined to fit into the total manufacturing system. The defined cell has more functions than conventional cells. A scheduling scheme is adopted for the shop floor operations. A set of software has been developed and tested through simulations and shop floor experiments.

  • We developed an automatic blood pressure control system to maintain the blood pressure of patients at a substantially low level during a surgical operation. The developed system discharges two functions, continuous feedback control of the mean arterial pressure (MAP) by a state-predictive servo controller and risk control based on the inference by fuzzy-like logics and rules using measured data. Twenty-eight clinical applications were made beginning in November 1995, and the effects of the automatic blood pressure control on the operation time and on bleeding were assessed affirmatively by means of Wilcoxon testing. This paper essentially reports the engineering details of the control system.

  • In this paper, the authors introduce a high-speed microprocessor based on automatic vacuum capacitor switch with a modified digital filter design using distributed arithmetic. The automation trends particularly the automatic vacuum capacitor switch has helped ameliorate the power factor essentials and automatically triggered to close when the line current exceeds rated value. Microprocessor relays use digital filters to extract only the fundamental and attenuate harmonics. To provide optimum speed characteristics a distributed arithmetic based filter design in the microprocessor controller which not only enhances filtering speed but additionally enables lower power consumption at the cost of area has been introduced. The result is a unified description that describes a digital filter structure down to bit level.

DESIGN OF A PWR POWER CONTROLLER USING MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROL OPTIMIZED BY A GENETIC ALGORITHM

  • In this study, the core dynamics of a PWR reactor is identified online by a recursive least-squares method. Based on the identified reactor model consisting of the control rod position and the core average coolant temperature, the future average coolant temperature is predicted. A model predictive control method is applied to designing an automatic controller for the thermal power control of PWR reactors. The basic concept of the model predictive control is to solve an optimization problem for a finite future at current time and to implement as the current control input only the first optimal control input among the solutions of the finite time steps. At the next time step, this procedure for solving the optimization problem is repeated. The objectives of the proposed model predictive controller are to minimize both the difference between the predicted core coolant temperature and the desired temperature, as well as minimizing the variation of the control rod positions. In addition, the objectives are subject to the maximum and minimum control rod positions as well as the maximum control rod speed. Therefore, a genetic algorithm that is appropriate for the accomplishment of multiple objectives is utilized in order to optimize the model predictive controller. A three-dimensional nuclear reactor analysis code, MASTER that was developed by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) , is used to verify the proposed controller for a nuclear reactor. From the results of a numerical simulation that was carried out in order to verify the performance of the proposed controller with a $5\%/min$ ramp increase or decrease of a desired load and a $10\%$ step increase or decrease (which were design requirements), it was found that the nuclear power level controlled by the proposed controller could track the desired power level very well.

  • Generally, ships have marks of various shapes on outside of the hull. Among them, so called "Draft Mark" indicates the distance from the bottom of the keel to the waterline. Draft marks are used to determine the displacement and other properties of the ship for stability and control purposes. These marks are made up of welding bead or sticking the steel plate on outside of the hull. To improve the confidence level of the ship owner, quality and accuracy of the draft mark is very important. So the automatic mark welding robot is used to enable a high quality and accurate manufacturing line. To improve the system portability, the system is divided into two distinct parts, namely mechanical part and control part. Mechanical part is robust, a lightweight, and easy to dismantle. The control part consists of an in-house developed controller, which is based on embedded Linux. Also, the control part consists of power line communication module to ensure the applicability of the controller in manufacturing line. In this paper, the methodologies of control and configuration of the robot are discussed.

  • About a half of Electric power is generated by nuclear power plants in korea. So, the stable operation of nuclear power plant is very important for suppling the essential national electric power. A S/G(Steam Generator) level control is the most difficult system in PWR(Pressurized Water Reactor) nuclear power plant. Because of the non-linear and the non-nominal response of S/G level control, it Is very difficult to control the level by automatic mode or manual mode. The goal of this study is to establish and verify a advanced control algorithm by analyzing, modelling, stability calculation, controller parameter calculation, simulation for S/G level control system.

  • In North-East asian countries, laver cultivation has been an important marine industry in coastal areas as well as fishery because laver (Porphyra) is nutrient-rich food and has been used in many Asian cuisines. Laver is characterized by high concentrations of fiber and minerals, a low fat content, and, in some cases, relatively high protein levels. In this paper we inplimented design of fully automatic laver harvesting, nowdays most peoples are used to collect a laver harvesting by human, it is very defficult working, due to wind, waves, and the weather conditions which is hard to stand on the ship and holding the seaweed nets it can be injurced human, this is the reason to we are developed automatic harvesting method, in this project we proposed automatic harvesting collect method which is operated without human. Mainly we design and developed automated ship, This ship is devided in to three parts frist part is supporting roller, second part is drum screener, thried part is lifting mechanism. Thise are operated with hydro pnumatic equimpment, this divice are control with micro controller. The system prototype has implemented and satisfied by the performance to realize the further level.
