Novel Design Methodology using Automated Model Parameter Generation by Virtual Device Fabrication

  • In this paper, an automated methodology for generating model parameters considering real manufacturing processes is presented with verified results. In addition, the outcomes of applications to the next generation of flash memory devices using the parameters calibrated from the process specification decision are analyzed. The test vehicle is replaced with a well-calibrated TCAD simulation. First, the calibration methodology is introduced and tested for a flash memory device. The calibration errors are less than 5% of a full chip operation, which is acceptable to designers. The results of the calibration are then used to predict the I-V curves and the model parameters of various transistors for the design of flash devices.

  • Due to the many attractive aspects of DG in the future power distribution system, distribution automation will be a center hub of integration of the distribution system and resources to satisfy the various needs of customers in a competitive and deregulated environment. In this paper, operation strategies are presented which use network reconfiguration of the automated distribution systems with DG as a real-time operation tool for loss reduction and service restoration from the view of distribution operation. The algorithms and operation strategies of an automated distribution system with DG are introduced to achieve the positive effects of DG in distribution systems. A simple case study shows the effectiveness of the proposed operation strategies.

  • For last two decades numerous automatic mesh generation algorithms for various two dimensional objects have been introduced continuously and among them triangular mesh generation schemes have been majority because of efficiency and controllability. In our study, an existing triangular mesh generation algorithm developed by Lo is totally modified to more improve node distribution, element shape, and objects shape independency. ft is composed of node generation part and element generation part. In order to find a suitable node position within geometry, the suggested algorithm searches desirable positions of points within boundary and optimizes node position to generate comparatively well-shaped elements. More over, the suggested algorithm handles various complex two dimensional objects and its meshing speed shows superiority to those of the existing triangulation mesh generation algorithms. It is fully automated in a sense of constructing object boundary and hence can be directly used as an independent meshing software.

  • Though studies on negotiations have actively been conducted in the field of e-Commerce so far, some problems have yet to be solved and many application fields of negotiation systems exist. Currently, many businesses shift from various fields to e-Commerce market, due to recent social changes and expansion of e-Commerce market; however, we need to develop the study of automated agents to resolve the issue of negotiation, which is an essential element in the e-Commerce, by minimizing human interference under the e-Commerce environment. In this study, we intend to propose a new negotiation protocol considering the negotiation alternatives through continuous negotiation rounds in relation to an automated negotiation issue whose participants are one to N (seller to buyers). We also present an agent-facilitated negotiation methodology by which negotiation alternative generation process is automated, in consideration of buyer's negotiation attributes and strategies in the negotiation system.

  • 이 논문은 선체 외판 자동 생산 시스템의 효과적인 구축을 위하여 기존의 객체 지향 시스템 개발 이론을 개선한 ESBD(Evolutionary Simulation Based Design)을 제안한다. 목표 시스템인 AHMS(Automated Hull-piece Manufacturing System)는 가공 이전 평후판의 입고, 선처리, 절단, 1차 곡가공, 2차 곡가공 그리고 출고에 이르는 가상화된 자동화 공정의 분산 제어 시스템으로서 ESBD에 의해 개발된다. 실시간 원격 제품 모니터링(Product Monitoring)과 제품 정보 관리(Product Data Management)를 실현하기 위하여 분산 제어 및 물류 시뮬레이션을 통한 시스템 개발을 적용한다. 실험적으로 개발된 시스템은 새로운 공장의 배치 및 설계에 기본적인 가이드 라인을 제시하는 역할도 수행한다.

VLM-ST 공정의 완전 자동화를 위한 2단계 절단 경로 데이터 생성 방법에 관한 연구 (Generation of Cutting Path Data for Two Steps of the Cutting Process in Full- Automated VLM-ST)

  • A novel rapid prototyping (RP) process, a full-automated transfer type variable lamination manufacturing process (Full-automated VLM-ST) has been developed. In the full-automated VLM-ST process, a vacuum chuck and a rectilinear motion system transfer the EPS foam material in the form of the plate with two pilot holes to the rotary supporting stage. The supplied material is then cut into an automated unit shape layer (AUSL) with a desired width, a desired length, a desired slope on the side surface, and a pair of reference shapes, which is called the guide shape (GS)’, including two pilot holes in accordance with CAD data through cutting in two steps using a four-axis synchronized hotwire cutter. Then, each AUSL is stacked by setting each AUSL with two pilot holes in the building plate with two pilot pins, and subsequently, adhesive is applied onto the top surface of the stacked AUSL by a bonding roller and pressure is simultaneously given to the bottom surface of the stacked AUSL. Finally, three-dimensional shapes are rapidly and automatically fabricated. This paper describes the method to generate guide shapes in AUSL data for the full-automated VLM-ST process. In order to examine the applicability of the method to generate guide shapes, three-dimensional shapes, such as a piston shape and a human head shape, are fabricated from the full-automated VLM-ST apparatus.

  • 본 논문은 자동요소생성 시스템을 이용한 화학적펌프의 지진해석에 대한 내용이다. 전처리시스템을 CAD시스템, 유한요소 코드와 통합시킨 자동화된 해석시스템은 구조물 최적화 디자인에 효과적으로 사용되어 진다. 해석조건이 수반된 유한요소모델은 자동적으로 해석모델로 부터 생성되어 진다. 또한, 유한요소모델은 해석코드에 의해 자동적으로 해석되어 진다. 이 통합화된 유한요소 시뮬레이션 시스템의 효용성을 화학펌프와 같은 3차원 복잡구조물에 적용하여 보았다.

  • 소프트웨어 테스트는 시스템의 신뢰도를 판단하는 중요한 작업이지만, 많은 노력과 비용이 요구된다. 모델 기반 테스트는 시스템 요구사항을 정형적으로 표현한 모델로부터 테스트 설계를 자동화함으로써 이러한 비용을 줄이기 위한 방안으로 제안되었다. 모델의 각 경로마다 입력값을 생성하여 테스트를 수행하는데, 이 때, 적절한 입력 값을 찾기 위해 메타-휴리스틱 기법을 사용한다. 본 논문은 슬라이싱 기법과 우선순위 정책을 적용한 테스트 데이터 자동 생성 기법을 제안하며, 목적 경로와 관련이 없는 변수를 제외하여 불필요한 계산을 억제한다. 실험을 통해 기존의 기법보다 효과적으로 테스트 데이터를 생성함을 보인다.

통합 구조 시스템의 유한요소망 형성의 자동화 (Automated Finite Element Mesh Generation for Integrated Structural Systems)

  • The structural analysis module is an essential part of any integrated structural system. Diverse integrated systems today require, from the analysis module, efficient real-time responses to real-time input such as earthquake signals, extreme weather-related forces, and man-made accidents. An integrated system may also be for the entire life span of a civil structure conceived during the initial conception, developed throughout various design stages, effectively used in construction, and utilized during usage and maintenance. All these integrated systems' essential part is the structural analysis module, which must be automated and computationally efficient so that responses may be almost immediate. The finite element method is often used for structural analysis, and for automation, many effective finite element meshes must be automatically generated for a given analysis. A computationally efficient finite element mesh generation scheme based on the r-h method of mesh refinement using strain deviations from the values at the Gauss points as error estimates from the previous mesh is described. Shape factors are used to sort out overly distorted elements. A standard cantilever beam analyzed by four-node plane stress elements is used as an example to show the effectiveness of the automated algorithm for a time-domain dynamic analysis. Although recent developments in computer hardware and software have made many new applications in integrated structural systems possible, structural analysis still needs to be executed efficiently in real-time. The algorithm applies to diverse integrated systems, including nonlinear analyses and general dynamic problems in earthquake engineering.
