  • In this paper, we propose a novel deep learning-based motion reconstruction approach that facilitates the generation of full-body motions, including finger motions, while also enabling the online adjustment of motion generation delays. The proposed method combines the Vive Tracker with a deep learning method to achieve more accurate motion reconstruction while effectively mitigating foot skating issues through the use of an Inverse Kinematics (IK) solver. The proposed method utilizes a trained AutoEncoder to reconstruct character body motions using tracker data in real-time while offering the flexibility to adjust motion generation delays as needed. To generate hand motions suitable for the reconstructed body motion, we employ a Fully Connected Network (FCN). By combining the reconstructed body motion from the AutoEncoder with the hand motions generated by the FCN, we can generate full-body motions of characters that include hand movements. In order to alleviate foot skating issues in motions generated by deep learning-based methods, we use an IK solver. By setting the trackers located near the character's feet as end-effectors for the IK solver, our method precisely controls and corrects the character's foot movements, thereby enhancing the overall accuracy of the generated motions. Through experiments, we validate the accuracy of motion generation in the proposed deep learning-based motion reconstruction scheme, as well as the ability to adjust latency based on user input. Additionally, we assess the correction performance by comparing motions with the IK solver applied to those without it, focusing particularly on how it addresses the foot skating issue in the generated full-body motions.

  • This paper is a study on the design and implementation of the Korean Text-to-Speech system which is used for a small and simple system. In this paper, a parameter synthesis method is chosen for speech syntheiss method, we use PARCOR(PARtial autoCORrelation) coefficient which is one of the LPC analysis. And we use phoneme for synthesis unit which is the basic unit for speech synthesis. We use PARCOR, pitch, amplitude as synthesis parameter of voice, we use residual signal, PARCOR coefficients as synthesis parameter of unvoice. In this paper, we could obtain the 60% intelligibility by using the residual signal as excitation signal of unvoiced sound. The result of synthesis experiment, synthesis of a word unit is available. The controlling of phoneme duration is necessary for synthesizing of a sentence unit. For setting up the synthesis system, PC 486, a 70[Hz]-4.5[KHz] band pass filter for speech input/output, amplifier, and TMS320C30 DSP board was used.

  • The distributed rainfall-runoff model which is developed in the country requires a lot of time and effort to generate input data. Also, it takes a lot of time to calculate discharge by numerical analysis based on kinematic wave theory in runoff process. Therefore, most river basins using the distributed model are of limited scale, such as small river basins. However, recently, the necessity of integrated watershed management has been increasing due to change of watershed management concept and discharge calculation of whole river basin, including upstream and downstream of dam. Thus, in this study, the feasibility of the GIS based physical distributed rainfall-runoff model, K-DRUM(K-water hydrologic & hydraulic Distributed RUnoff Model) which has been developed by own technology was reviewed in the flood discharge process for the Geum River basin, including Yongdam and Daecheong Dam Watersheds. GIS hydrological parameters were extracted from basic GIS data such as DEM, land cover and soil map, and used as input data of the model. Problems in running time and inaccuracy setting using the existing trial and error method were solved by applying an auto calibration method in setting initial soil moisture conditions. The accuracy of discharge analysis for application of the method was evaluated using VER, QER and Total Error in case of the typhoon 'Ewiniar' event. and the calculation results shows a good agreement with observed data.

  • This paper presents linear algebraic equations in the form of recursive formula to compute elastokinematic characteristics of a suspension system. Conventional methods of elastokinematic analysis are based on nonlinear kinematic constrant equations and force equilibrium equations for constrained mechanical systems, which require complicated and time-consuming implicit computing methods to obtain the solution. The proposed linearized elastokinematic equations in the form of recursive formula are derived based on the assumption that the displacements of elastokinematic behavior of a constrained mechanical system under external forces are very small. The equations can be easily computerized in codes, and have the advantage of sharing the input data of existing general multi body dynamic analysis codes. The equations can be applied to any form of suspension once the type of kinematic joints and elastic components are identified. The validity of the method has been proved through the comparison of the results from established elastokinematic analysis software. Error estimation and analysis due to piecewise linear assumption are also discussed.

  • In this paper, chord progress pattern of popular music is analyzed, and based on this optimal chord pattern, bit matrix of melody information is used for the input vector of neural network. Experimental result showed that possibility of computer composition based on neural network is verified. With regard to some given melody, by making use of proposed method, it is also possible to reconstruct the various melody.

  • In this paper, we proposed a simple neural network-based parameter tuning algorithm, which could find the gradients of a certain performance index in the PID parameter spaces. In this process, we had to know the dynamics between input and output of the plant, and we used the Back Propagation Neural network to identify them. To make the parameter updating fast and smooth, we constructed the performance index as the sum of past N-squared plant errors, and applied a batch mode algorithm to update parameters. We performed several experiments with a DC Motor to show the validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • In this paper, a texture synthesis technique based on the NCAR(non-causal auto-regressive) model and the pyramid structure is proposed. In order to estimate the NCAR model parameters accurately from a noisy texture, the MAP(maximum a posteriori) estimation technique is also employed. In our approach, since the input texture is decomposed into the Laplacian oyramid planes first and then the NCAR model is applied to each plane, we are able to obtain a good synthesized texture even if the texture exhibits some non-random local structure or non-homogenity. The usrfulness of the proposed method is demonstrated with seveal real textures in the Brodatz album. Finally, the 2-dimensional MAP estimation technique can be used to the image restoration for noisy images as well as a texture image synthesis.

  • In this paper a binary image encryption technique and decryption system based on a joint transform correlator (JTC) are Proposed. In this method, a Fourier transform of the encrypted image is used as the encrypted data and a Fourier transform of the random phase is used as the key code. The original binary image can be reconstructed on a square law device, such as a CCD camera after the joint input is inverse Fourier transformed. The proposed encryption technique does not suffer from strong auto-correlation terms appearing in the output plane. Based on computer simulations, the proposed encryption technique and decoding system were demonstrated as adequate for optical security applications.

  • In this paper, a full vehicle model is developed to analyze toe and camber changes due to rack height variation and compliance. The AutoDyn7 program developed in G7 project is used for the computer simulation. Steady state cornering test was done to find the understeer gradient. Imposing a pulse steer input, Frequency Response Function(FRF) of yaw rate and lateral accelerations were evaluated. To verify the stability, the rhombus using four parameters is employed. Steer characteristics were evaluated by changing the rack height and the bushing lateral stiffiness. which installed between the low control arm and the chassis.

  • In this paper, we re-analyzed the fuzzy controller as conventional PID controller structure, and proposed a self tuning fuzzy PID controller whose input output scaling factors were tuned automatically. At first stage, the tuning parameters of fuzzy controller were determined by Ziegler-Nichols tuning method and then they were adjusted as the delay time and process environment were changed. Proposed controller was simple in its structrue and computational burden was small so that on line adaptation was easy to apply to. The result of computer simulation and practical experiment showed the proposed controller's excellent performance
