한국과 중국 여자대학생의 은퇴태도 비교 분석 (Korean and Chinese Female College Students' Attitudes towards Retirement)

  • This study investigated Korean and Chinese female college students' retirement attitudes. Considering the fact that the two countries are experiencing dramatic increases in elderly population, retirement planning is a significant social issue. Even though Korea and China share similar cultural backgrounds, economic systems and governmental retirement policies have been developed in different ways. The purpose of this research was to compare retirement attitudes and related factors between Korean and Chinese female college students. Based on a survey with 214 female college students (130 Koreans and 84 Chinese), differences and similarities in retirement attitudes and related factors were identified. On average, Chinese female college students showed more positive attitudes towards retirement than Korean students. The levels of thinking about retirement and worrying about finances in retirement were greater for Korean students than Chinese students. More Korean students anticipated that their actual retirement age will be earlier than their desired retirement age. Korean students believed that they should start retirement planning at an earlier age than Chinese students' retirement planning age. Korean students anticipated that the cost for food and housing as the major expenditure category in retirement while Chinese students anticipated cost for health care as the major expenditure category. Korean students who worry about finances in retirement, and those who anticipated that they will retire earlier than their desired age showed negative retirement attitudes when controlling other factors. Implications for retirement planning and education were presented based on the research findings.

치위생학 전공 학생과 교수자의 직업윤리교육 의식과 의료윤리 관련 지식과 태도 (Level of perception of professional ethics education and the knowledge and attitudes related to medical ethics of students and professors in dental hygiene)

  • Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the dental hygiene students and professors' knowledge and attitudes related to medical ethics and their level of perception of professional ethics education. Methods: This was a cross-sectional survey study of 330 students and professors in the field of dental hygiene using a structured questionnaire. The sub-factors of knowledge and attitudes related to medical ethics were classified into patient relations, medical and social relations, and individual specialized fields, and analyzed for comparison. Results: In the university curriculum, the professional ethics completion rate was 34.8% for students and 22.1% for professors, but 98.5% of respondents said that professional ethics is important. Their knowledge and attitudes related to medical ethics were average, ranging from 5 points to 3.37 points, followed by "relationships with patients (3.75 points)", "medical and social relations (3.19 points)", and "individual specialties (3.16 points)." Conclusions: Students and professors who major in dental hygiene recognize the importance of professional ethics, but the level of knowledge and attitude related to medical ethics has been found to be moderate. Therefore, it is suggested that medical ethics, including professional ethics, should be treated as an essential subject in the university curriculum.

A Study on Knowledge and Attitudes Regarding Sexuality of Elderly People in Korea

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was to examine the level of knowledge and the attitudes of Korean adults toward sexuality of elderly people. Methods. This was a descriptive study using a convenience sample of 241 adults. The questionnaire had 34 items for knowledge and 26 items for attitudes. Results. The result showed that, related to sexuality of elderly people, the level of knowledge was average and attitudes were conservative. The level of knowledge was significantly higher in groups that were highly educated and of low economic status (p <.05). Attitudes toward sexuality of elderly people were significantly more conservative in female, older, less educated, and high economic status group. Conclusion. The findings suggest a need for more education for Korean adults regarding sexuality in elderly people.

과학관련 태도, 과흥분성 및 초등학생이 지각한 부모의 양육태도 간의 관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on a Correlation among Science-Related Attitude, Overexcitability and Parent's Rearing Attitude Perceived by Elementary School Students)

  • This study was conducted to clarify a correlation among science-related attitude, overexcitability and parents' rearing attitude perceived by elementary school students. For this purpose, questionnaire surveys were carried out for 276 elementary school students consisted of 5th and 6th grades. The results were as follows. First, science-related attitude, overexcitability, and parents' rearing attitude perceived by elementary school students were meaningfully different on gender. boys'average was higher in science-related attitude than girls'. In the case of overexcitability, boys'average was higher in psychomotor and intellectual overexcitability than girls', while girls'average was higher in emotional and sensual overexcitability than boys'. According to the analysis for parents' rearing attitude perceived by elementary school students, girl students perceived that their parents more firmly controlled them as compared with boy students. Second, according to the results conducting t-test for types of parents' rearing attitude perceived by students, boy students' average was meaningfully higher in the types of love-autonomy than girl students'. There was no difference between the groups of love-autonomy type and hostility-autonomy type. Third, there showed a meaningful correlation between students' science-related attitude and parents' rearing attitude in order of love, hostility, autonomy, and control type. There showed a meaningful correlation between students' science-related attitude and intellectual, sensual, imaginational, psychomotor, and emotional overexcitability in order. Last, according to multiple regression analysis, factors effecting on science-related attitudes were intellectual overexcitability, love among the types of parents' rearing attitude perceived by students im order.

비간부 경찰공무원의 이직의도에 대한 직무관련 태도의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Job-related Attitudes on the Intention to Leave in Rank and File Police Officers)

  • 이 연구는 경찰공무원의 직무관련 태도와 이직의도와의 관계를 규명해 보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이와 같은 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 이론적 배경을 토대로 이직의도의 선행변수로 가정되는 직무관련 태도 변수를 조직몰입과 직무만족으로 설정하였다. 이러한 이론적 분석틀 하에서 순경에서 경사까지의 비간부 경찰 공무원을 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 직무관련 태도와 이직의도와의 관계를 실증적으로 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무만족과 조직몰입과의 관계에 있어서 직무만족은 정서적 몰입, 지속적 몰입, 규범적 몰입에 정적(+)으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 직무만족과 이직의도와의 관계에 있어서는 직무만족이 이직의도에 부적(-)으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 조직몰입과 이직의도와의 관계에 있어서는 정서적 몰입과 지속적 몰입만이 이직의도에 부적(-)으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 직무만족과 이직의도 사이에 조직몰입이 조절효과를 가지는지를 검증한 결과 정서적 몰입, 지속적 몰입, 규범적 몰입 모두 조절효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 비간부 경찰공무원의 이직의도를 예방하고 감소시키기 위해서는 이에 영향을 미치는 직무관련 태도를 긍정적으로 향상시키는 것이 요구된다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 야외지질학습 환경에서 과학 영재학생들이 학습의 성취를 가능하게 하는 요인들을 분석하는 데 있으며, 이를 위해 2007년도 한국지구과학올림피아드 겨울학교에 참가한 19명의 참가 학생들을 대상으로 야외지질학습에 관한 인식과 태도의 유형을 분석하였다. 야외지질학습에 관한 인식과 태도의 유형을 분석한 결과 인식의 유형은 탐구적 관점에서 경험적 탐구로 이해하고 있으며, 과학철학의 관점에서 인간 중심적 견해와 실증주의적 관점, 그리고 도구주의적 관점으로 이해하고 있었다. 태도의 유형으로 학생들의 겨울학교 참여 목적은 주로 지구과학에 관한 지식 습득에 있었으며, 과학자를 희망 진로로 선택하는 경향은 부모들 보다 학생들에게서 더 높은 경향이 나타났다. 야외지질학습에 관한 학업적 자아개념은 대체로 긍정적으로 나타나며, 긍정적 정서와 부정적 정서를 모두 경험하는 것으로 나타났다.

안산 지역 특성이 반영된 STS 모듈의 효과: 화학 I 단원을 중심으로 (The Effect of STS Modules Reflected Ansan's Local Characteristics for Chemistry I)

  • 이 연구에서는 안산시의 지리적 특성을 반영한 고등학교 화학 I 단원의 STS 모듈을 개발하여 교과 수업에 적용한 후, 과학에 관련된 태도에 미치는 영향 및 STS 수업에 대한 선호도를 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 경기도 안산시에 소재한 K고등학교 2학년 2개 반 71명을 실험 집단으로, 2개 반 78명을 통제 집단으로 하였으며, 연구는 동일 집단 사전 사후설계 방식으로 진행되었다. 안산 지역 특성을 반영한 STS 모듈은 고등학교 화학 I 단원과 관련하여 물 공기 에너지를 주제로 4차시를 개발하여 적용하였으며, 수업 전 후 과학에 관한 태도와 STS 수업에 대한 선호도를 조사 분석하였다. 과학에 관한 태도 검사에서 STS 모듈을 적용한 실험 집단이 교과서 중심의 수업을 한 통제 집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의미한 향상 효과가 나타났으며, STS 수업에 대한 선호도 조사 결과에서도 학생들은 STS 프로그램에 대해 매우 긍정적이었으며, 사회와의 관련성 영역에서 보다 큰 선호도를 나타내었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 과학 기술 사회의 상호관련성에 관한 과학 수업의 효율적인 적용을 위해서는 학생들이 보다 주체적으로 참여할 수 있는 지역적 특성을 반영한 STS 모듈을 개발하여 적용할 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

한의대생의 전문직 사회화과정 연구 (Professional Socialization of Oriental Medical Students)

  • The study aims to investigate the process of professional socialization of oriental medical students, to analyze influencing factors on it, and to compare the results with those of western medical students. Professional socialization, in the context of this study, means the process through which a layperson becomes a profession equipped with professional identity and values. A survey using specially designed questionnaire was carried out in 1999. The data were collected from 11 oriental medical colleges for 2,656 students. A total of 2,597 cases was finally included in the statistical analysis. Analysis of factors related to professional value found that oriental medical students thought highly of human-oriented factors, followed by science and status, and this trend remained unchanged as they moved on to qualification. Among professionalism related items, those involved in professional regulation and dominance factors showed high scores, while showing low scores on items related to bio-ethics and autonomy factors. Unlike items of professional value, those of professionalism showed a notable difference in attitude statistically by schooling level. The average scores of factors for professionalism increased with increasing schooling years. This trend proved that oriental medical students acquired professional norms and attitudes through their educational period. Multiple regression analysis with the factors related to professional value and professionalism as dependent variables found that independent variables had some impact on science, status, and clinical autonomy, but no impact on human, policy autonomy, and professional regulation factors. In conclusion, with increasing schooling years, professional norms and attitudes of oriental medical students were also strengthened. And, in spite of the differences in general propensity, they have a base consciousness in common with western medical students. The difference of mind-set and attitudes related to professionalism in the two groups, however, considering the necessity of future cooperative relations, indicated that a common curriculum between both schools is needed, and the education of social medicine should be strengthened in oriental medical colleges.

과학학습의 정의적 영역에서 사전-사후 통합 검사 설계의 타당화 연구: 과학영재를 대상으로 (A Validation Study of Retrospective Pre-post Testin the Affective Domain in Science Learning:for Scientifically Gifted Elementary Students)

  • In this study, the reliability and validity of the retrospective pre-post test were analyzed in order to solve the problem of traditional pre-post test including response shift bias. Samples of the study were 162 elementary school students who are studying at the S university gifted education center in Seoul. Before completion of the field trip, we conducted pre test of science-related attitudes. After completion of the field trip, respondents were asked to compare their responses of pre and post science-related attitudes to quantitatively analyze the commonalities and differences of the two tests. To find out more characteristics, qualitative data such as daily records and interview were also gathered and analyzed. The major results of the study are as follows. First, for the paired t-test, there was no statistically significant difference between separate pre-test scores and retrospective pre-test. There was a very high correlation between the separate pre-test scores and the retrospective pre-test. Second, there were significant differences in all seven sub-factors of science-related attitudes between the retrospective pre-test and the post-test. Third, the separate pre-test scores showed a slightly higher tendency than the retrospective pre-test scores. This suggests that the response shift bias appears when it is performed the separate pre-test in affective domain. As a result of the interview, it was found that the evaluation standards of separate pre-test did not match with those of post-test. Forth, internal consistency reliability of the retrospective pre-test was higher than that of the separate pre-test. However, there were significant differences in six factors of science-related attitudes excluding the 'social implications of science' between the separate pre-test and the post-test. Based on these results, the retrospective pre-post test design provides simplicity and convenience to both respondents and investigators, as it is done with one test. The retrospective pre-post test design can be regarded as a valid design for the self-report measurement of affective domain on a single experimental group.

TMSI모형을 적용한 메이커교육 프로그램 과학수업이 초등학생의 과학 학업성취도 및 과학 관련 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Maker Education Program Science Class Applying the TMSI Model on Elementary School Students' Academic Achievement in Science and Scientce-Related Attitudes)

  • 본 연구에서는 TMSI모형을 적용한 메이커교육 프로그램 과학수업이 초등학생의 과학 학업성취도 및 과학 관련 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 광역시 소재 초등학교 6학년 40명을 대상으로 각 20명씩 연구집단과 비교집단으로 구분하여 연구를 진행하였다. 6학년 2학기 '계절의 변화' 단원의 내용을 10차시를 선정하여 연구집단의 학생들은 TMSI모형을 적용한 메이커교육 프로그램 과학수업을, 비교집단의 학생들은 교사용 지도서에 제시된 전통적 교육방법을 적용한 수업에 참여하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, TMSI모형을 적용한 메이커교육 프로그램 과학수업은 학생들의 과학 학업성취도 향상에 유의미한 효과를 미쳤다. 둘째, TMSI모형을 적용한 메이커교육 프로그램 과학수업은 학생들의 과학 관련 태도 향상에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 메이커교육 프로그램 과학수업이 학생들의 과학 수업에 대한 즐거움을 향상시키기 위해 다양한 교육플랫폼을 활용한 단계별 메이커교육 콘텐츠를 개발하여 제공할 필요가 있으며 보다 향상된 영역별 메이커교육 프로그램을 개발하고 교과별 수업에 적용해 봄으로써 메이커교육 프로그램이 적용된 수업이 관련 교과 수업의 즐거움으로 이어지기 위한 추가적인 연구가 필요하다.
