  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate health behavior related to particulate matter (PM) in older adults and examine the factors affecting it. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used. Data were collected from 150 voluntary older adult participants from Songpa-gu in Seoul. The survey questions measured service perception and experience related to PM, risk perception related to PM, attitude toward risk of PM, and health behavior related to PM. Results: The average score for health behavior related to PM was 79.37, ranging from 51 to 115. There was a significant positive correlation between health behavior related to PM and risk perception related to PM (r=.58, p<.001) as well as between health behavior related to PM and attitude toward risk of PM (r=.70, p<.001). Multiple linear regression revealed that health behavior related to PM was predicted by levels of the existence of disease related to PM (β=.14, p=.019), service experience related to PM (β=.20, p=.021), risk perception related to PM (β=.20, p=.019), and attitude toward risk of PM (β=.44, p<.001). The model including these variables accounted for 47.0% of health behavior related to PM. Conclusion: Korean older adults have the low level of health behavior related to PM. The findings of this study emphasize that risk perception and attitude toward risk of PM should be evaluated, and the underlying diseases related to PM and their service experience should be considered in developing intervention to improve health behavior related to PM.

  • In this study, a survey was carried out on 300 students in Korea Culinary Arts Science High School located in Gyeonggi-do from August 1 to August 30, 2011 to figure out how the control of high school students' eating behavior affects the change of their psychological achievement. Analysis showed that attitude toward eating behavior, and perceived behavior that recognize this and act, as eating habits for control of their eating behavior, are the most control factors of eating behavior. It says that the right perception of customary attitude and the correction of habits according to the exposure and performance of repetitive eating behaviors are important. Consequently, an ordinarily regular norm as a social norm, or a rule around it won't act as big positive factors.

  • The objectives of this study were to understand sexual attitudes and coping behavior of elderly people and to examine the mediating effects of the sexual coping behavior on the sexual attitudes and life satisfaction in order to improve the quality of life of elderly people. The survey was conducted on 305 elderly people at home living. As a result, in relation to the sexual attitudes of elderly people, it was shown that the 'rational sexual attitude' was the highest and the 'liberal sexual attitude' was higher than the 'traditional sexual attitude' among the subordinate factors. This study showed that there was a significant correlation between the sexual attitude, sexual coping behavior and life satisfaction. Furthermore, it is shown that the sexual coping behavior significantly mediates the relation between the liberal sexual attitude and life satisfaction of elderly people at home.

  • Company Social Networks (CSN) has emerged as a commonly used marketing channel. One of the most important advantages in CSN is the user's voluntary behavior as a relational performance. We classified level of voluntary behavior, as 'consumption', 'active participation', and 'creative contribution' to comprehend different relational performance of CSN. Moreover, we proposed research model to compare positive attitude and negative attitude. This study aims to investigate 'the process of user's voluntary behavior in CSN' which is causal relationship between benefits of CSN, user's attitude and voluntary behavior. Empirical results with 175 valid questionnaire data revealed that CSN benefit factors played a significant role in trust and distrust. Based on these effects, trust and distrust have different influences as level of voluntary behavior, just as proposed. For practitioners, it is crucial finding that users are more active behavior based on strong trust.

  • This research aimed to understand selfie behavior in social networking sites (SNSs). The research was conducted on the basis of the functional theories of attitude, verified self-presentation attitude, and self-expression attitude that affect selfie behaviors (i.e., taking selfies, posting selfies, and taking selfies for fashion product exposure). The moderating effect of satisfaction toward one's appearance was identified. The participants of the study were SNS users aged 20-30 years who had posted selfies in the past month. A survey was performed using an online panel of an international survey firm. The data were analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis on SPSS 22.0. Results corroborated that self-expression attitude affected the number of selfies taken but not the number of selfies posted and those uploaded for fashion product exposure. Self-presentation attitude exerted a significant effect on the number of selfies posted and those uploaded for fashion product exposure. When satisfaction toward one's appearance was high, self-presentation attitude increased the influence of the behaviors of posting selfies and uploading selfies for fashion product exposure. Self-expression attitude also significantly influenced the number of selfies taken due to the moderating effect of satisfaction toward one's appearance. This research was made meaningful by its quantitative analysis of selfie behavior in SNSs. The results confirmed the different functions of attitudes affecting selfie behavior. With the improved understanding of selfie behavior obtained from this research, Social Media marketing may be carried out in various industrial fields in the future.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between three aspects of clothing behavior and sex role attitude. For Sex Role: sex role attitude was measured by Osmond-Martin's Sex Role Attitude Scale and Items selected from Smith, Ferree and Miller's Feminism Scale. For Clothing Behavior: a unisex clothing attitude questionnaire was developed for this study, and general clothing behavior was assessed with Kim; Won: Kim: Lee; and Jung's questionnaires dealing with modesty and the yin-yang continuum of design preference. The questionnaries were administered to a sample of 366 junior high school girls in Seoul. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation. The results were that, liberal attitudes toward sex role were positively related to unisex clothing attitude: liberal attitudes toward sex role were negatively related to modesty in clothing. Liberal attitudes toward sex role were related to the yin-yang continuum of design preference in clothing; that is, the persons having more liberal attitudes toward sex role preferred yang (masculine) design.

  • So far, most of studies on environmentally responsible behaviors were based on the Hines et. al.(1987)'s behavior model which emphasized mainly personal causes of behaviors. This study was planned to investigate whether self-efficacy and conformity toward social norm could be good predictors for environmentally responsible behaviors or not. In the preliminary study, Several scales on environmental problems were made up for measuring the levels of knowledge, attitude, and behavior from usually used items of previous studies. And, some relevant items to self-efficacy scale and conformity toward social norm scale were selected through factor analysis and reliability analysis recursively. In the main study, Knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, conformity toward social norm, and behavior of high school students were measured in urban and rural areas. Results showed that students in urban areas took environmentally responsible behavior more often than ones in rural areas, and there were no differences in attitude and sensitivity but significant differences in self-efficacy and confirmity toward social norm between them. According to regression analysis, self-efficacy was the best predictor for environmentally responsible behaviors, and confirmity toward social norm and knowledge were also good predictors. In conclusion, self-efficacy and confirmity toward social norm are better predictors for environmentally responsible behaviors than attitude.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of clothing behavior with such psychological variables as self-esteem and impulsiveness, to disclose the relationship between children's clothing behavior and their mother's child-rearing attitueds, to investigate the levels of clothing behavior according to children's sex and their mothers having job. Questionaires for clothing behavior and child-rearing attitudes were chosen from ones which were used in privious studies, and the items were selected on the Cronbach's Alpha Reliability Coefficient. For mearsurement of impulsiveness, a portion of "personality Inventory" by Beommo Chung was used, while Robinson and Shaver's self-esteem scale was adopted for mearsutement of self-esteem. Clothing behavior was composed of 6 variables: clothing interest, clothing satisfation, clothing management, clothing sex-role, clothing comfort, and clothing independence. Samples were 380 boys and girls (4th, 5th, 6th grade) of three elementary schools in Seoul, Korea. The data were analyzed by correlation coefficient, t-test, F-test, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows : 1. Self-esteem had positive relations with clothing satisfaction, clothing management, and clothing sex-role. Girls who had higher self-esteem were less interested in traditional sex-role attitudes in clothing. Boys who had higher self-esteem were higher in clothing independence. 2. Those who had higher impulsiveness were higher in clothing interest, but lowere in clothing satisfaction, clothing management, and clothing independence. 3. Loving and receptive child-rearing attitude had positive relations with clothing satisfaction and clothing management, but a negative relation with clothing sex-role. When mothers had higher loving and receptive child-rearing attitude, their sons had higher traditional attitude in clothing sex-role. Democratic and self-regulating child-rearing attitude had no relation with clothing behavior. 4. To lpredict clothing satisfaction, 4 independent variables (selfesteem, impulsiveness, mother's loving and receptive child-rearing attitude, and mother's democratic and self-regulating child-rearing attitude) were selected. The explanatory power of the four variables was 15%. Clothing satisfaction was most influenced by self-esteem, and not significantly influenced by mother's child-rearing attitudes. 5. Clothing interest and clothing management were higher with the girls than with the boys, while clothing comfort was higher with the bodys. 6. When children's mothers had a job, the children tended to have higher liberal attitudes in clothing sex-role.
