  • In paper, we present design and implementation of MPLS based VPN with QoS capabilities. We propose a design architecture of an edge router for MPLS based VPN with QoS capabilities in backbone network. We design functional blocks, interface specifications, detail routing and forwarding information based structure, and packet forwarding engine for the purpose of implementation of an edge router, We extend bgp-4 software for implementation differentiated service packet forwarding schemes in MPLS based VPN.

  • Continuous improvements of network infrastructures and mobile data offloading strategies are among the solutions of cellular providers to cope with the increase in mobile data demand. These options requires a lot of cost and time to implement. Few researches have been conducted to assess the applicability of Pocket Switched Network (PSN) to support mobile data offloading. In this paper, we present a PSN mobile data-offloading scheme that utilizes mobile users with available connectivity to deliver content-aware data to other mobile users. This paper also aims to evaluate the applicability and feasibility of PSN routing schemes to improve the current strategies in mobile data offloading. The simulation results show admirable results in terms of message delivery and latency.

  • In this paper, we evaluate the performance of zone-based registration, distance-based registration and distance-based registration considering call arrival. We propose the mobility model, which can be used to analyze the performance of three registration schemes. Numerical results show that zone-based registration needs less number of registration than distance-based registration. On the other hand, the registration load of the distance-based registration is equally distributed to all cells in a location area. However, the registration load of the distance-based registration considering call arrival is similar to that of zone-based registration and equally distributed to all cells in a location am Therefore, the proposed scheme can be effectively used restricted radio resources.

  • In 2005, Chien and Chen proposed a remote user authentication scheme for preserving user anonymity to conquer some problems Das et. al. schemes have. In 2007, Hu et. al. pointed out that their scheme have some problems. Therefore, they proposed a new one and claimed that their scheme overcome all of these problems. However, We will show that Hu et. al. scheme still hold some problems; it cannot resist to denial of service attack and protect the user anonymity. Hence, we propose ours and demonstrate our scheme conquer these problems.

  • In this study, we combine information hiding technique with digital contents protection scheme. For providing secure distribution on digital contents, a new paradigm can be proposed after considering both watermarking and fingerprinting techniques. In detail, publicly verifiable digital signature schemes are applied into digital contents. On signing digital copyrights, we can publicly verify its correctness if needed.

  • Design of appropriate control schemes that can satisfy the cell loss, delay requirements with various traffic specification for B-ISDN is an extremely important challenging problem. In this paper, we proposes a priority control scheme with a window counter and a cell counter per each type of class. The priority control for satisfying required service quality is performed with delay/loss factor obtained by comparing window counter with cell counter. The performance of proposed control scheme is estimated by computer simulation.

  • The paper describes the process and issues encountered during the design and construction of seven kilometres of canal to convey 2.5 cumecs of flow to two power stations. The location of the scheme above the primary reservoir of the Waipori Hydropower scheme in Otago, New Zealand, utilising an existing stream diversion into this reservoir, means that no new water abstraction or diversion consents were required. This mini hydro development associated with the existing Waipori scheme was partly justified by an allocation of carbon credits. The scheme controls are slightly more complicated than many canal and penstock schemes as the canal lengths are considerable in relation to the gradient.

  • The purpose of this study is to classify and state of evaluating objectives using three-dimensional assessment framework of science inquiry. The first, as an attempt to provide a theoretical base for developing an assessment framework taxonomies and classificatory schemes of educational objectives were analyzed Bloom's taxonomy, Klopfer's specification, NAEP(National Assessment of Educational Progress), and APU(Assessment of Performance Unit) framework. The second, three-dimensional assessment framework use in this study has formed a clear definition of three-dimensional matrix. These three dimensions consists of content, context and process. The third, the model of three-dimensional taxonomy of science inquiry developed in this study is presented. In addition, an example of classification and statement of evaluating objectives based on the model is presented.

  • This letter considers a problem of associating users to small-cell base stations (sBSs) and selecting a set of operating sBSs in a small-cell network to minimize the power consumption. We derive a message passing algorithm to obtain a solution distributively. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to the conventional schemes.
