번들조정법에 의한 지상시설물 경사면 해석의 정확도 향상에 관한 연구 (Study on the Improvement of Accuracy in a Plain Slope Analysis Using the Bundle Adjustment)

  • 본 연구에서는 대상물의 좌표결정을 위해 해석적사진측량에서 사용되고 있는 번들조정법을 이용하여, 지상시설물의 경사에 마른 지상기준점의 배치형태와 수렴촬영시 수렴각의 변화에 따른 3차원 좌표의 오차특성들을 분석하여, 최적기준점배치 및 수렴각을 제시하였다. 따라서 일반지상시설물의 제약적인 주변환경으로 인해 수렴수평촬영을 할 수 없는 경우 편각수렴촬영방법에 의해 지상시설물의 경사면 해석에 있어서의 정확도를 크게 향상시킬 수 있었다.

Train Scheduling and Rescheduling In Pakistan

  • This paper provides an overview of Pakistan Railways scheduling and rescheduling. First of all, Pakistan Railways is introduced with its brief history and importance in this country. Assets of this network with passengers and freight using this are given. Current hope less situation is leading to privatization of this system as well as promoting short distance traveler to use road and Government efforts to retain is also presented. Train scheduling in Pakistan is being done manually, based on manual time distance graph preparation and resolution of conflicts based on manager's experience and ability. In Real-time management of this traffic Lahore head office is connected with six control stations in the Pakistan, decision for resolution of any disturbance is coordinated among them. It is recommended that computer aided tools must be developed for this system to help traffic managers and it is needed to invest on the segments to increase their speed limits which might attract passengers to use this mode of transportation with high priority.

  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) skill is becoming a technology that might deliver a response to manual glitches. The use of tags, receiver and wireless surfs to join with each other would mean that RFID in combination with the EPC would speech these pain opinions and offer many welfares in different sectors such as production, distribution, trade, logistics, and security. Potential benefits include increased visibility rising supply chain, enlarged proficiency and cost savings through improved data harmonization, better responsiveness to actual prominence change. The Impact of Board of Directors' Characteristics on Firm Performance: A Case Study in Jordan

  • This study tested the effect of the board of directors' (BOD) characteristics on the corporate performance of the Jordanian industrial and service companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) during the period 2015-2019. The characteristics of the BOD were measured through the following variables: MO = managerial ownership; CEODU = CEO duality; BI = board independence; GD = gender diversity; ND = nationality diversity; AE = advanced education; BM = board meetings; BSIZ = board size; CSIZ = corporate size; CA = corporate age. The corporate performance was measured by return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). The corporate size and corporate age were used as control variables. The study sample consisted of 85 industrial and service companies with 425 observations to identify the nature of the effect of the BOD characteristics on performance. This study applied time-series data (panel data), and the multiple linear regression method was used to achieve study objectives. Results showed a positive effect of the study variables on performance, while the corporate age and the education level (BOD members) have a negative effect on performance.

  • In the ever-changing landscape of finance, the fusion of artificial intelligence (AI)and pair trading strategies has captured the interest of investors and institutions alike. In the context of supervised machine learning, crafting precise and accurate labels is crucial, as it remains a top priority to empower AI models to surpass traditional pair trading methods. However, prevailing labeling techniques in the financial sector predominantly concentrate on individual assets, posing a challenge in aligning with pair trading strategies. To address this issue, we propose an inventive approach that melds the Triple Barrier Labeling technique with pair trading, optimizing the resultant labels through genetic algorithms. Rigorous backtesting on cryptocurrency datasets illustrates that our proposed labeling method excels over traditional pair trading methods and corresponding buy-and-hold strategies in both profitability and risk control. This pioneering method offers a novel perspective on trading strategies and risk management within the financial domain, laying a robust groundwork for further enhancing the precision and reliability of pair trading strategies utilizing AI models.

  • Due to the increasing complexity of the information systems environment, modern information systems are facing more difficult and various security risks than ever, there by calling for a higher level of security safeguard. In this paper, an information technology security risk management model, which modified by adopting the concept of business processes, is applied to client/server distributed systems. The results demonstrate a high level of risk-detecting performance of the model, by detecting various kinds of security risks. In addition, a practical and efficient security control safeguard to cope with the identified security risks are suggested. Namely, using the proposed model, the risks on the assets in both of the I/O stage(on client side) and the request/processing stage(on server side), which can cause serious problems on business processes, are identified and the levels of the risks are analyzed. The analysis results show that maintenance of management and access control to application systems are critical in the I/O stage, while managerial security activities including training are critical in the request/processing stage.

  • Recently, foreign utilities emphasize the importance of the value-added services based on Information Technology(IT) as one of the strategic technologies for establishing a new power system in the future digital society. They develop many different types of the value-added services and apply the systems for customer. In domestic case, the data from the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) System is used only for calculating the tariffs. Data from the AMR system can be strategic assets for utilities to provide the value-added services for customer. Development of the value-added services for utilities and customer needs processing and managing the AMR data. In this paper, the energy consulting service, which is adequate to new power system environment, is suggested for development of the value-added services. The application of the suggested service will bring the effect of reducing the monthly bill for customer. Also the service will give not only the effective demand side management(DSM) and load control, but also reduction of the investment for utilities.

  • 최근 원자력발전소를 대상으로 하는 사이버위협이 급증함에 따라 원자력사업자는 원자력시설의 컴퓨터 및 정보시스템이 사이버공격에 대해 적절히 보호됨을 보장하여야하며 특히 사이버공격에 노출될 경우 핵물질 불법이전 및 공공안전에 악영향을 끼칠 수 있는 필수 계통에 대한 보호가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해 원자력발전소를 대상으로 하는 사이버위협 현황을 조사하고, 원자력 시설의 필수 계통과 그에 포함된 필수디지털자산들을 식별 방법과 그에 따른 사이버보안 조치를 수행하는 국내 외의 국내 원자력 시설에 적합한 필수 계통 식별 및 보안조치 방법을 분석한다.

  • 차분 진화는 다양한 형태의 목적함수를 최적화하는데 매우 효율적인 방법임이 입증되었다 차분 진화의 가장 큰 이점은 개념적 단순성과 사용의 용이성이다. 그러나 차분 진화의 수렴성이 제어 파라미터에 매우 민감한 단점이 있다. 본 논문은 새로운 교배용 벡터 생성법과 제어 파라미터의 적응 메커니즘을 결합한 적응성 있는 차분 진화를 제안한다. 이는 수렴성을 해치지 않으면서 차분 진화를 보다 강인하게 만들며 사용이 쉽도록 해준다. 12가지 최적화 문제에 대해 제안한 방법을 시험하였다. 적응성 있는 차분 진화의 응용 사례로써 이벤트 예측을 위한 교사 클러스터링 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법을 진화에 의한 이벤트 클러스터링이라 부르며 데이터 모델링 검증에 널리 사용되는 4 가지 사례에 대해 그 성능을 시험하였다.
