영어학습 도구로서 기계번역기의 가용성 분석 - as구문 역번역을 통하여 (Analysis of the Usability of Machine Translators as an English Learning Tool -Through backtranslation of the as phrase)

  • 기계번역기는 1950년대 처음 등장하였고 2010년대 신경망번역시스템을 적용하면서 번역정확성에 비약적인 발전을 하였다. 하지만 아직도 복잡한 문장의 번역에는 어려움을 겪고 있으며 이것은 영어학습 도구로서 기계번역기를 이용하는데 불편함을 주었다. 따라서 본 연구는 고등학교 1학년 수준의 문장들 중 다양한 뜻과 품사를 가지고 있는 as가 포함된 문장들을 분석대상으로 기계번역기를 이용한 역번역실험을 통해서 영어학습 도구로서 기계번역기의 가용성을 분석했다. 분석도구로는 신경망번역시스템을 이용한 대표적인 기계번역기인 구글 번역기, 네이버 파파고, 마이크로소프트 번역기를 이용하였다. 연구결과 기계번역기 사용시 각 as용법에 따라서 가용성이 유의하게 다른 것을 확인하였고 그에 따라 각 문장에 쓰인 as용법을 기계번역기를 사용하여 학습할 시 가용성이 높은 용법, 보통인 용법, 낮은 용법으로 분류하였다. 선행연구와는 다르게 직접 학습도구로서 기계번역기를 분석했고 접속사 as의 용법의 가용성을 수치화 시킨 데 있어서 본 연구는 연구적 공헌점을 가진다.

  • The purpose of this study was to show the analysis system and the expression which is applied to fashion illustration by three major components in visual sign, metaphor and metonymy. The results of this study were as follows : Firstly, metaphor in qualisign of syntactics was revealed as a color such as realistic description, a pattern such as clothing of figure. etc. Metonymy was revealed as a social and cultural background color, a concept pattern. etc. In sinsign of syntactics. metaphor was revealed as a human body, non-human body and metamorphosis human body and metonymy as a human body and non-human body. In legisign of syntactics, the metaphor by perspective was used for a fantasy of space. and the metonymy was revealed as a color perspective representation, etc. The degree of change of texture was revealed as a metaphor and metonymy of gradation. And conventional custom sign was almost revealed in metaphor. Secondly, semantics showed about fashion image as juxtaposition of two similar objects in metaphor and as real description and simplification in metonymy Alternative fashion image in semantics was presented as a object related to fashion image. Conventional symbolic sign was presented as a role to clarify a fashion message in metaphor. Thirdly, the metaphorical and metonymical expression in pragmatics were usually presented as drawing and painting.

열처리 온도에 따른 Si/Co/GaAs 계의 계면반응 및 상평형에 관한 연구 (The interfacial reactions and phase equilibria of Si/Co/GaAs system)

  • (001)방향 GaAs 기판과 Si/Co 박막의 계면반응 및 상평형에 관한 연구를 300-$700^{\circ}C$ 열처리 구간에서 행하였다. 반응에 의한 상전이 과정은 glancing angle X-ray diffraction(GXRD), Auger electron spectroscopy(AES) 및 cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy(GXRD), Auger electron spectroscopy(AES) 및 corss-sectional transmission electron microscopy(XTEM)을 이용하여 분석하였다. Si/Co/GaAs계의 계면반응에서 Co는 $380^{\circ}C$에서 GaAs 기판 및 Si와 반응하여 Co2GaAs과 Co2Si상을 형성하였다. $420^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 후, Co층은 모두 소모되었으며 단면구조는 Si/CoSi/CoGa(CoAs)/Co2GaAs/GaAs으로 전이되었다. $460^{\circ}C$까지 온도를 올려 계속적인 반응을 일으키면 CoGa와 CoAs이 분해되면서 CoSi가 성장하였고, $600^{\circ}C$에서는 Co2GaAs마저 분해되고 CoSi상이 성장하여 GaAs와 계면을 형성하였다. CoSi와 GaAs사이의 계면은 $700^{\circ}C$의 고온까지 안정하였으며 이러한 계면반응 결과는 계산에 의하여 구한 Si-Co-Ga-As 4원계 상태도로부터 이해될 수 있었다.

A Study on Moment of Truth of Household Telecommunication and Distribution Services in Korea

  • Purpose - There have been not enough studies on the ways customer Moment of Truth(MOT) activities are structured along with consumption chain and their influences as well as the relative influences of service quality at Moment of Truth on customer performance. Therefore, customer service needs needed at Moment of Truth may differ depending on whether these distribution services are at introduction-growth stages or maturity-decline stage already, but there is no study which illustrates this. Research design, data, and methodology - This study selects VoIP and IPTV as the household telecommunication and distribution services at introduction-growth stages as well as high speed internet and wire telephone as those at maturity-decline stages. Then it identifies which experiences that customers have at Moment of Truth by each service as well as the influences related to what the customers consider as important. Results - As the result of demonstration with the target of 858 respondents, customers' experiences and requests differ at Moment of Truth. For service quality, what takes the positive roles in customer performance includes corporeality and certainty for the services at introduction-growth stages as well as reliability, sympathy, and mutuality for those at maturity-decline stages. Conclusions - Implications of these results as well as further directions for study are suggested.

  • $In_{0.1}Ga_{0.9}As$/GaAs의 계면 특성을 상온에서 photoreflectance(PR) 측정을 통하여 연구 하였다. 에피층의 두께가 증가함에 따라 PR 신호에서 Franz-Keldysh oscillation(FKO)의 주 기가 감소하였고, 계면 전기장은 감소되었다. 이것은 InGaAs와 GaAs의 이종접합계면 부근 에서 격자부정합에 의한 결함이 증가되었기 때문으로 생각된다. 에피층의 두께가 300$\AA$보다 적은 경우 두께가 얇아짐에 따라 InGaAs층이 임계 두께에 가까워져 strain의 영향으로 밴 드갭 에너지가 크게 이동하였다.

  • An inverted double channel AIGaAs/lnGaAs/GaAs heterostructure grown by LP-MOCVD is demonstrated and discussed. Sheet carrier densities in excess of $4.5{\times}10^{12}cm^{-2}$ at 300K are obtained with a hall mobility of $5010cm^2/V{\cdot}s$. The proposed device with a $1.8{\times}200{\mu}m^2$ gate dimension reveals an extrinsic transconductance as high as 320 mS/mm and a saturation current density as high as 820 mA/mm at 300K. This is the highest current density ever reported for GaAs MODFET's with the same gate length. Significantly improvements on gate voltage swing (up to 3.5 V) and on reverse breakdown voltage (-10V) are demonstrated due to inverted structure.

전북지방 닭의 기생충 감염상황 (Prevalence of Parasite Infection of Fowls in Chonbuk Province)

  • In order to detection of the intestinal parasites, fecal samples were taken from broiler (n=262), laying hen(n=244), parent stock(n=207) and native stock(n=287) in Chonbuk province. The prevalence and identification of intestinal parasites were determined by the fecal examination using the floatation and /or sedimentation methods and microscopical examination, respectively. The results were obtained as follows : 1. The detection rate of parasite-eggs from 4 flocks(total=1,000) was 65.7%. 2. In the breed and type of breeding, infection rate of parasite-eggs was detected 84.0% as native stock (floor breeding, 241 chicken), 79.7% as parent stock (floor breeding, 165 chickens), 73.3% as broiler(floor breeding, 192 chicken) and 24.2% as laying hen(cage breeding, 59 chicken), in order. 3. In the concern of mixed infection such as single, double and triple, the rate was 55.1%, 8.7% and 1.9%, respectively. 4. Ten kinds of infective eggs were isolated from 657 fecal sample of 4 flock. They were classified 51.l% as Eimeria spp., 12.7% as Ascaridia galli, 5.1% as Capillaria spp., 4.1% as Strongyloides avium, 2.3% as Heterakis gallinarum, 0.5% as Hymenolepis spp., 0.3% as Railleina spp. and 0.2% as Syngamus spp., Trichostrongilus spp., or Choanoteania spp., single or in combination.

Synthesis and Characterization of New Intermetallic Compounds $M_3(AsTe_3)_2$ (M=Cr, Fe, Co)

  • The new amorphous intermetallic compounds, M3(AsTe3)2: M=Cr, Co, Fe, were synthesized by the precipitation reaction of the Zintl anion AsTe33- with the divalent transition metal halides in aqueous solution and analyzed by EDS equipped with SEM and PIXE. The empirical formula of the specimens was found to be Fe3.0As1.8Te5.9, Co3.0As2.1Te6.5, and Cr3.0As2.0Te6.9 by the quantitative elemental analysis. The dc specific resistivity of the materials was measured as a function of temperature in the range from 20 to 300 K, in which their resistivity of Cr3(AsTe3)2 was largely dependent on temperature, while those of Co3(AsTe3)2 and Fe3(AsTe3)2 were only slightly dependent on temperature. To characterize the spin glass state of the specimens, the ac and dc magnetic susceptibility were measured and it was found that Co3(AsTe3)2 and Fe3(AsTe3)2 undergo a transition to a spin glass state at 6 K and 38 K, respectively. Magnetization data are reported as both thermal remanent magnetization (TRM) and isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM) as a function of magnetizing field and temperature.

Arsenic Detoxification by As(III)-Oxidizing Bacteria: A Proposition for Sustainable Environmental Management

  • Arsenic (As), which is ubiquitous throughout the environment, represents a major environmental threat at higher concentration and poses a global public health concern in certain geographic areas. Most of the conventional arsenic remediation techniques that are currently in use have certain limitations. This situation necessitates a potential remediation strategy, and in this regard bioremediation technology is increasingly important. Being the oldest representativse of life on Earth, microbes have developed various strategies to cope with hostile environments containing different toxic metals or metalloids including As. Such conditions prompted the evolution of numerous genetic systems that have enabled many microbes to utilize this metalloid in their metabolic activities. Therefore, within a certain scope bacterial isolates could be helpful for sustainable management of As-contamination. Research interest in microbial As(III) oxidation has increased recently, as oxidation of As(III) to less hazardous As(V) is viewed as a strategy to ameliorate its adverse impact. In this review, the novelty of As(III) oxidation is highlighted and the implication of As(III)-oxidizing microbes in environmental management and their prospects are also discussed. Moreover, future exploitation of As(III)-oxidizing bacteria, as potential plant growth-promoting bacteria, may add agronomic importance to their widespread utilization in managing soil quality and yield output of major field crops, in addition to reducing As accumulation and toxicity in crops.

InP/InGaAs/InP 분포귀환형 회절격자 위에 성장된 InAs/InAlGaAs 양자점의 구조적.광학적 특성 (Structural and Optical Characteristics of InAs/InAlGaAs Quantum Dots Grown on InP/InGaAs/InP Distributed Feedback Grating Structure)

  • 금속유기화학증착기 (metal-organic chemical vapor deposition)를 이용하여 분포귀환형 (distributed feed back) InP/InGaAs/InP 회절격자 구조를 제작하고 원자력간현미경 (atomic force microscopy)과 주사전자현미경 (scanning electron microscopy) 실험을 통해 표면 및 단면을 분석하였다. 그 위에 분자선증착기(molecular beam epitaxy)법을 이용하여 자발형성 (self-assembled) InAs/InAlGaAs 양자점 (quantum dot)을 성장하고, 광학적 특성을 온도변화 광여기 발광 (photoluminescence)으로 회절격자 구조 없이 성장한 양자점 시료와 비교 분석하였다. 회절격자의 간격 대비 폭의 비가 약 30%인 InP/InGaAs/InP 회절격자가 제작되었으며, 그 위에 성장된 양자점의 경우 상온 파장이 1605 nm에서 PL이 관찰되었다. 이는 회절격자 없이 같은 조건에서 성장된 시료의 상온 파장인 1587 nm 보다 장파장에서 발광하였으며, 회절격자의 영향으로 양자점 크기가 변하였음을 조사하였다.
