  • Emerging medical technologies for effective and lasting repair of articular cartilage include delivery of cells or cell-seeded scaffolds to a defective site to initiate de novo tissue regeneration. In this respect. the availability of an appropriate biomaterial scaffold is crucial to allow chondrocyte growth and cartilaginous matrix deposition in a three-dimensional geometry.   • Hemodialysis is essential for patients with end stage renal failure. It is important to improve the patency rate and to minimize occurrence of the stenosis. Also, the blood flow to the artificial kidney can affect the blood flow characteristics through arteriovenous graft. Thus, the delivered dose are important factors for analyzing hemodynamic characteristics during hemodialysis access. In this study, the numerical analysis was performed for the effect of the delivered dose during hemodialysis access on the blood flow through the graft. As a result, The adverse pressure gradient occurred in case of a larger delivered dose through a catheter than standard dose and the flow instability increased. Also the circulation flow appeared largely at anastomotic site of the vein when the delivered dose was exceeded about half blood flow of inlet blood flow.

가잠의 인공사료육에 관한 연구 -유충발육에 따른 Esterase 및 Phosphatase의 전기영동상- (Studies on the Rearing with Artificial Diet in the Silkworm, Bombyx mori L. -Electrophoretic Sepatarion of Esterase or Phosphatase along the Growth of Larvae-)

  • 원종 2품종과 교잡종 7품종을 공시하여 사료와 사육온도를 상이하게 조절하면서 각령기별로 혈액 중장 및 견사선의 Esterase 와 Acid Phosphatase의 활성을 Agarose gel 전기영동법에 의해서 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 상엽육과 인공사료육잠아의 중장 Esterase영동상은 잠령기별로 서로 다르고 상엽육잠아에는 인공사료육잠아에 비하여 1~2개의 활성대가 더 많이 나타나고 있다. 2. 인공사료에 대한 섭식성이 양호한 중 15는 섭식성이 불량한 중 60희에 비하여 중사 Esterase활성대가 1~2개 더 많은 경향이 있었다. 3. 교잡종의 접잠및 1~2영잠의 전신마대액의 Esterase영동상은 각각 현저하게 상이하였지만 잠품 종간의 차이는 인정되지 않았다. 4. 사육온도별로 3~4영잠의 중장 Esterase영동상을 비교하면 28$^{\circ}C$구는 3, 4영 모두 5개활성대가 인정되었으며 35$^{\circ}C$구에서는 3영기에 4개활성대, 4영기에 6~7개의 활성대가 나타났다. 5. 중장 혈액 및 견사선의 Esterase영동상은 각기 상이하다. 즉 중장에는 5개활성대, 혈액에는 1개활성대, 견사선에는 3개활성대가 인정되며 발육계체에 따라 활성대수에 변화가 있었다. 6. 중장 혈액및 견사선의 Acid Phosphatase영동상을 보면 중장에는 3영잠에 1개, 4영잠에 2개, 5영잠에는 3개활성대가 인정되었으며 혈액에는 3,4영잠에 각 1개, 5영잠에는 3개활성대가 인정되었다. 중장과 혈액의 Acid phosphatase형은 잠품종이나 사육온도간에 약간의 차이가 있기는 하지만 뚜렷하지는 않았다. 견사선에는 활성대가 전혀 나타나지 않었다.

심탄도와 인공지능을 이용한 혈당수치 예측모델 연구 (The study of blood glucose level prediction model using ballistocardiogram and artificial intelligence)

  • 논문은 심탄도(BCG, Ballistocardiogram) 센서를 이용하여 생체신호 데이터를 비침습, 무구속적인 방식으로 수집하고, ICT 기술과 고성능 컴퓨팅 환경에서 인공지능 기계학습 알고리즘을 활용하여 데이터 기반 혈당 예측 알고리즘 모델 개발 및 검증하는 방법을 제시하고 연구하는 것이다. 혈당수치 예측모델은 MLP 아키텍처에 입력노드는 심박수, 호흡수, 심박출량, 심박변이도, SDNN, RMSSD, PNN50, 나이, 성별이며, 은닉층 7개를 사용하였다. 실험 결과는 5회 실험한 학습데이터의 평균 MSE, MAE 및 RMSE 값은 각각 0.5226, 0.6328 및 0.7692이며 검증데이터 평균 값은 각각 0.5408, 0.6776, 0.7968이었으며, 결정계수(R2) 수치는 0.9997의 결과를 보였다. 데이터를 기반으로 한 혈당수치를 예측하는 모델을 표준화하고 데이터셋 수집과 예측 정확성을 검증하는 연구가 계속적으로 진행된다면 비침습 방식의 혈당 수준 관리에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

개의 PPG와 DNN를 이용한 혈당 예측 - 선행연구 (Blood glucose prediction using PPG and DNN in dogs - a pilot study)

  • 논문은 PPG 기반 센서에서 측정한 심박수(HR), 심박변이도(HRV) 데이터를 기반으로 DNN(Deep Neural Network) 혈당예측 모델을 개발하는 연구이다. 혈당 예측은 다층퍼셉트론(MLP) 신경망을 이용하였다. DNN 심층학습은 11의 독립변수가 있는 입력층, 은닉층, 출력층으로 구성된다. 혈당 예측모델의 학습결과는 MAE=0.3781, MSE=0.8518, 및 RMSE=0.9229이며, 결정계수(R2)는 0.9994이다. PPG기반의 디지털기기를 이용한 비채혈적 생체신호를 이용하여 혈당관리의 가능성을 확인하였다. PPG기반의 표준화된 활력신호 획득 및 해석법, 다량의 데이터기반 심층학습(Deep Learning)의 데이터셋, 정확성를 실증하는 연구가 이어진다면 개의 혈당관리에 편이성과 대안적인 방법을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

Artificial Microparticle Diets for Culturing Rotifer, Brachionus plicatilis

  • Rotifer culture fed on five types of artificial microparticle diets were evaluated to substitute the natural diets such as Chlorella or w-yeast. These microparticle diets including solidified blood using squid oil (SBSO), solidified blood using soybean oil (SBSB), nylon protein walled particle (NPW) simple coacervation oil capsule (SCO), complex coacervation oil capsule(CCO), were tested for the evaluation of feeding efficiency. The prepared micro particle diets had diameters ranging from 3 to 30 Jim. Rotifer culturing experiments were carried out in 3-liter beakers for 13-16 days. The initial inoculum density of rotifers was 10 ind./ml. The rotifers fed on Chlorella or $\omega-yeast$ showed maximal densities of 2,000 ind./ml in 9 days or 500 ind./ml in 7 days, respectively. Those fed on SBSO, SBSB or NPW showed maximal densities of 1568 ind./ml, 586 ind./ml or 503 ind./ml, respectively and the reproductive rates for those diets were equivalent to or better than w-yeast. However, the coacervated oil capsule showed lower maximal densities of 400 ind./ml for SCO and less than 100 ind./ml for CCO due to the unbalanced diet formulation and indigestibility.

인공신장 투석기에서 Ultrafiltration이 Clearance에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Ultrafiltration on the Clearance of Artificial Kidney Dialyzers)

  • Solute transfer in artificial kidney dialyzers was analyzed using Kedem-Katcha- Isky's description on membrane transport. Mass transfer coefficient, K was deduced from the diffusive clearance of commercial hemodialyzers. It can to seen that Kd increases with the increase of blood flow rate, which means that there is substantial resistance in the blood phase for solute transport. Total clearance was estimated with the Werynski's formula. The increase in total clearance due to ultrafiltration was most significant for middle molecules like vitamin Bla, however that for smaller molecules such as urea and creatinine was minimal.

쥐에서 인공창상에 의한 유착형성에 관한 연구 (Study on Adhesion Formation by Artificial Injuries in Rats)

  • This experiment was carried out to establish the grade of adhesion formation and changes of blood following artificial injuries such as abrasion, incision and electrocautery on colon and uterine horns in rats. 36 rats (abrasion-, incision-, electrocautery-treated groups) had laparotomy and abdominal injuries, twelve rats( control group) had only laparotomy, Ten days fellowing abdominal injuries, the score of adhesion formation and changes of blood were noted 1. Electrocautery-treated group was significant evident in adhesion formation in colon(p<0.01) and electrocautery and incision-treated groups were more evident than abrasion and control group in uterine horns(p<0.01) 2. Changes of erythrocytes number and PCV were tended to decrease during 5 days after operation, but recover normal level 10 days after operation. 3. Changes of leucocytes number were showed to significantly increase in electrocautery and incision-treated groups 5 days after operation. 4. The electrocautery-treated group was showed to significantly decrease in plasma protein and increase in plasma fibrinogen concentration.

  • Flow in the blood sac of the Korean artificial heart is numerically simulated by finite element method. Fluid-structure interaction algorithm is employed to compute the 3D blood flow interacting with the sac material. The motion of the actuator is simplified by a time-varying pressure boundary condition imposed on the outer surface of the sac. Numerical solutions show that there are a strong flow into the outlet and a stagnation flow near the inlet during systole. Shear stress distribution is also delineated to assess the possibility of thrombus formation.
