This paper aims to propose fashion designs based on the application of art flower technique to translucent clothing material. For study method, firstly I looked into art flower applications occurred in modern trend since 2000 as well as theoretical research on art flower and transparency expressed as artificial beauty. Second, I attempt to express transparency in a variety of unique ways by using the art flower technique in producing clothes. Third, I utilized transparent flower with translucent clothing material and tried to suggest fashion design attempting mixture of new materials. As a result, firstly transparent image and material are well fitted in with modern trend and especially it was very suitable for expressing feminine beauty. Second, transparency was the element to suggest creative formative world in fashion design in regard to flower's beauty, various shapes and colors and to provide infinite materials as design motive. Third, the combination of knit clothing and plastic art flower displayed a new form of material combination. Especially as translucent material is fitted with trend such as function, lightness and variableness in modern times of the $21^{st}$ century, it presents beautiful combination with transparent flower. Fourth, Silk flower technique is variously used in art flower techniques. Various possibility ranges are presented such as flower was recreated with artificial image by silk flower technique to be newly expressed and various materials like aesthete film can be also expressed with silk flower technique.

미를 대표하는 아름다움의 상징인 꽃은 인류의 역사를 통해서 미적 대상으로 존재하고 있으며, 조형예술에서도 가장 많이 사용되는 모티브 중의 하나이다. 이렇게 꽃예술은 꽃이라는 주제를 모티브 삼아 형태를 구현하는 예술이다. 꽃은 형태와 색채가 미적으로 조화롭게 인간의 감성을 표현해 주는 매개체 역할을 해주었다. 또한 상징성이 있는 꽃문양은 미적 장식성이 높아 생활용품 뿐만 아니라 미술 분야와 패션분야에 적용되고 있다. 꽃문양은 패턴 중에서 가장 많이 선호하는 문양으로 사계절 관계없이 다채로운 색상과 형태로 변화를 주어 다양하게 활용하기도 하며, 그 상징성과 인간의 심리적 감각을 자극하는데 효과적이므로 다양한 분야의 디자인에 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 미를 대표하는 아름다움의 상징이며 예술의 모티브인 꽃의 문양이 전통적으로 우리나라에서도 사용되어 왔으며 현대에 와서도 여전히 패션과 예술에서 많이 사랑받고 있지만 우리나라 고유한 꽃문양을 사용한 브랜드가 좀 더 활발히 활동하기를 바라며 본 연구를 통해 앞으로 우리만의 독특한 꽃문양을 개발하여 이것이 상품화 될 수 있는 근거를 마련하고자 한다.

This study has as its primary aims the following: to create a fashion design based on the aesthetic value of Art Nouveau which flourished from the end of 19 century to the beginning of 20 century. In this thesis, two themes, Rose Aroma and Iris Memory are selected among the flower patterns and are used to create two works. First, the Rose Aroma theme is for an evening dress of S-curve style made with Silk Jacquard based on rose image of Art Nouveau. For decoration, artificial rose and its stem, and leaves are used to highlight hip line. By such design associated with a flower garden, cubic effects are expressed as a design point. Second, the Iris Memory theme is for a wedding dress made with tulle based on Iris image of Art Nouveau. This dress has a special point in its top bra, underwear used like an outer garment, involving spangle, beads, pearl, and cubic in order to enhance its visual effect. These works are significant in presenting the development possibilities of various fashion designs by introducing Art Nouveau style into diverse modern fashions.

동양꽃꽂이는 고대에 신에게 헌화한 공화양식으로 좌우대칭의 삼존형식의 엄격한 삼각형의 조형미를 갖추고 있었으며 침봉을 사용하여 꽃을 고정하므로 쉽게 꽂을 수 있었다. 서양꽃꽂이는 이집트시대에 꽃을 연속반복으로 쌓아 올려 원추형의 형태를 이루어 현재 vertical form의 근원으로 보고 있다. 그리이스 시대에는 부드러운 S라인 형식을 주로 사용하였고, 로마시대에는 꽃들의 중심을 풍성하고 화려하게, 갈수록 낮고 가늘며 긴 수평형으로 연결하였다. 페르시아 시대에는 동양의 삼존형식과 비슷한 triangular 조형을 나타내고 있다. 그리고 르네상스 시대에 꽃꽂이도 고전의 바탕위에 기본형이 창조되었으며, 19세기말 동양미술의 온화한 색과 단순미, 사실적 묘사 등에 영향을 받아 20세기 미국을 중심으로 양적 mass에서 공간미학까지 꽃꽂이의 영역이 광범위하게 표현되는 art nouveau 시대로 이어졌다. 서양꽃꽂이는 조형성에 기초를 두는 것은 동양꽃꽂이와 같으나 자연성이 거의 무시되고 실용성에 근거를 삼는 것이 특징이다.

These days, hair design is recognized as a kind of molding arts which peform expression skill to create personal self as well as practical skill. Recently, the efforts to express hair design sublimating it to art works have continued. For these reasons, this study had purposes as follows; First, it developed creative and original design producing works to shape the flower image that was an important material of hair design. Second, it presented the possibility to express the field of hair design with art. In the flow of age, nature has provided design with unlimited creative motive. Flowers, among various materials, show the nature's change, combination and order and impose diverse symbolic meanings. Therefore, flowers are good materials to express the works. Through the process of decolorizing and dyeing with hair, five works of nature's fragrance, hope, reed flowers, windflower, magnolia blossom had been produced. The results of the process were as follows; First, the transformation of shape through the simple process taking the image of shaping flower as subject matter could be a motive of new hair design art. Second, if the various images of flowers were expressed as hair art with three-dimensional shape, it could be works with value of beauty. Through the process of this study, it was proved that nature could be endless subject matter for art. Therefore, with continuous studies, it can be motive of developing designs in producing work activities of many hair designers. In addition, academic development will be achieved through wide and diverse studies.

인간이 자연의 식물과 교감하는 화예는 역사적인 배경과 민족성에 따라 특징을 가지며 인간의 영감과 조형 능력으로 서로 다른 양상의 문화가 탄생 되었다. 한국의 화예는 사계절기후의 자연 속에서 발생한, 문명의 소산으로 자연합일사상(自然合一思想)에서 출발하여 우리민족의 심성에 흐르고 있는 자연주의적 본질의 삶과 철학을 시대의 문화에 맞게 자연식물(草木)로서 그 여유로운 미를 덕(德), 지(志), 기(氣)로 배양되어 빚어내었다. 문인화(文人花)는 역사적 전통인 동양철학의 바탕에 계승되어온 정신 이념이 고격의 인품과 시정성{詩情性)을 바탕으로 "외양(外樣)"보다는 식물이 지닌 특성과 취향을 기교의 표출됨이 없이 철리(哲理)의 미학적 함축성을 빚어낸 조형예술이다 본 연구에서는 우리 정신문화의 화예 근간이 문인화(文人花)임을 규명하기 위하여 소나무(松)를 중심으로 문인화의 배경과 근원, 시정성, 상징성, 우의성, 그리고 문인화 작품에서 표현되는 화예의 조형성과, 화예 유전자 해독으로 미학적 특성을 파악함과 동시에 문헌의 기록을 도출하여 연대별로 정리 고찰하고, 한국화예의 정수(精髓)인 문인화론을 정립하고자 한다.

The influences of Art nouveau and Art Deco are as follow: The first, in the side of silhouette, hourglass style and bell shaped skirt influence on mordern fashion chiefly and S-curve style was mollified. Empire style, hobble style in art deco age are all showed diversely, in these styles especially boyish style give an outstanding trasts to modern fashion. The second, the color of art deco, characterized by pastel in art nouveau's color tone, original color and black and gold was reflected on the textile design and showed diversely in the color fo modern fashion. The third, in the field of textile and pattern, flower and plant which was a motive of art nouveau style, organic curve and geometrical pattern and exotic motive was seperately used with motive in the pattern and design of mordern. Textile of goldish and silver tone, metal stuff, lace embroidery, fur, artifical flower, feather etc. showed up on the many parts of clothing. Like this Art Nouveau and Art style not only had a great effect on the costume but also decorations and formative arts.

21C modern society is a time when enough design to dominate the world, a unique design is required new in all aspects. In addition, there is a religion to the best of Zen art. In our cultural heritage with a ethnicity unique unparalleled in the world, and a new recognition of traditional culture and identity of its own in our country, lattice door flower temple the beauty of Korea in the way you tell, it was modernized by interpreting a new one to utilize as a design element of a wood lattice door flower temple. In this study, to re-appear in openwork having regard to the symbolism of pattern and shape of the lattice door flower temple molding properties were highlighted, change the part of the motif, repeated the curve geometric has been designed to simplify as. As a result, it is possible to present the possibility of a design element that can design a traditional Korean is reinterpreted Modern thereby simplify the repetitive element of the related art, for a new aesthetic changes unique. Design Development of wood with a Buddhist temple flower lattice modern re-interpretation, it suits while a strong indication Korea imagery and expressed a variety of needs and personality to the design elements that are competitive in the world the cage, and design of wood, various studies competitive on to be applied to each field is required.

The purpose of this study is to establish a new method to develop the textile pattern design using Saengbul flower in Seo-cheon flower garden of Jeju Myth, in other words, to create mythic textile patterns by borrowing effectively from the mythic image of Saengbul flower. Seo-cheon flower garden is an incantation space and Saengbul flower means pregnance. Therefore, we drew Camellia flower motifs from a mythic image based on archetypal symbols about the Saengbul flower, and created mythic patterns. In order to achieve this textile pattern design, Adobe CS5(Photoshop, Illustrator) and Texpro were used to design the motifs of Saengbul flower, and then they were arranged in a square pattern and diamond pattern of Richard M. Proctor' set layout. And to conclude, development of the creative textile pattern design using the mythic contents of the Jeju Myth contribute to invigoration the fashion industry and regional culture contents projects in Jeju, and also become the basis of creating added valued to it.

The shape of floral Pattern in the Period of Baroque could be divided single. bunch and vine. The style of representation was stylized, abstract and realistic. the most of style was stylized. The type of composition was fullness, independent and scattered. Floral patterns were shaped simple and complex and components of design could be classified into flower and leaf. flower and fruit. flower and band. bunch of flower, flower and geometry. flower and pot, flower and animal. flower and crest. Kinds of flower were tulip. common marigold, lily, carnation, small bel]flower. lotus, acandus leaf, pomegranate, strawberry. pine cone and abstract anonymous flower which were unfolded by repeat. Characters of floral Pattern were classical elegance, taste of royalty and lively and damask, velvet, brocade which made with gold and silver so, those were a very brilliant and gorgeous. Characters of design were illustrated plane style and stylization where developed arranged on front by repeat or repeat symmetric of vertical. Art, costumes and textiles in this era were a very rich and colorful. The result of study on Baroque's floral pattern will be used to develope a various textile design and chance to be adopted classical pattern into aesthetic value in our time.
