신생아 신체 발육지표로서의 중앙 상완위 및 중앙 상완위와 두위비의 측정 (Measurements of Mid-arm Circumference(MAC) and Mid-arm Circumference/Head Circumference (MAC/HC) Ratio as Indices of Nutritional Status in Newborn Infants)

  • 1990년 1월부터 1993년 12월까지 영남대학교 의과대학 부속병원에서 출생한 적정체중아(appropriate for gestational age infants) 207명을 대상으로 중앙 상완위 및 두위를 측정하여 관찰한 결과 재태 연령의 증가에 따라 중앙 상완위(y=0.3181x-2.2069, r=0.81 p<0.001)와 중앙 상완위 대두위 비(y=0.0049x+0.1128, r=0.62, p<0.001)는 직선적인 증가를 보였으며 이를 기초로 작성된 재태 연령에 대한 표준 곡선은 향후 신생아의 발육 상태를 평가하는 참고치로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

우리나라 성인여성에서 정상 폐활량 예측을 위한 양팔벌린 손끝길이와 신장과의 관계 (Arm Span-Height Relationship for Prediction of Spirometric Values in Korean Adult Women)

  • 연구배경 : 척추의 이상굴곡 등으로 신장을 정확히 측정할 수 없는 환자에서 정상폐활량을 추정하기 위해서는 양팔벌린 손끝길이를 측정하여 신장을 예측한다. 연령을 고려하지 않고 고정된 비(AS/Ht ratio)를 이용하는 방법과 연령을 고려한 회귀방정식을 이용하는 두가지 방법이 있으며 이는 인종에 따라 다르다고 알려져있다. 대상 및 방법 : 우리나라 성인여성에서 양팔별린 손끝길이와 신장 그리고 연령과의 관계를 알아보고자 울산광역시에 거주하는 20-69세의 성인여성중 연령별로 표본추출된 381명(평균연령 $46.6{\pm}12.8$세, 평균신장 $154.3{\pm}5.7cm$)의 자료를 분석하였다. 결 과 : 우리나라 성인여성의 AS/Ht ratio는 $1.004{\pm}0.023$이다. 다중선형회귀분석상 양팔벌린 손끝길이와 연령이 모두 신장과 유의한 선형적 관련성을 보였다. Height(cm)=0.7094 Arm span(cm)-0.0891 Age(yr)+48.54(p=0.0001, $r^2$=0.76) AS/Ht ratio를 통한 신장 예측값와 실측값의 차이 즉, 잔차(residual)는 양팔벌린 손끝길이와 연령에 의해서 유의한 영향을 받는다 (p=0.0001). 양팔벌린 손끝길이 또는 연령이 감소할수록 AS/Ht ratio에 의한 신장 예측값은 실측값보다 낮아지며, 양팔벌린 손끝길이 또는 연령이 증가할수록 AS/Ht ratio에 의한 신장 예측값은 실측값보다 높아진다. 회귀방정식을 통한 신장 예측값과 실측값의 차이는 양팔벌린 손끝길이와 연령에 의한 영향을 받지 않는다(p>0.05). 결 론 : 우리나라 성인여성에서 정상폐활량 추정을 위한 신장 예측치를 구하고자 할 때 양팔벌린 손끝길이와 연령의 두 변수를 이용한 회귀방정식을 이용하는 것이 고정된 AS/Ht ratio를 이용하는 것보다 더 정확하다. As/Ht ratio는 양팔벌린 손끝길이와 연령의 양 극단에서 신장을 정확하게 예측하지 못한다.

Effects of Reciprocal Inhibition Using Thera-band on Scapular Muscle Activities During Arm-lifting Exercises in Subjects with Rounded Shoulder Posture

  • PURPOSE: Excessive activity of the upper trapezius (UT) muscle contributes to a rounded shoulder posture (RSP) through abnormal rotation of the scapula that weakens the lower trapezius (LT) and serratus anterior (SA) muscles. This study compared the effects of two arm-lifting exercises with and without the use of a Thera-band on the activities of LT, SA, and UT muscles, and the LT/UT and SA/UT activity ratio in subjects with a rounded shoulder posture. METHODS: Sixteen subjects with RSP participated in this study. All subjects performed arm-lifting (AL), diagonal arm-lifting (DAL), arm lifting with isometric adduction (ALIA), and diagonal arm-lifting with isometric adduction (DALIA) exercises. The surface electromyography data, LT, SA, UT, and the LT/UT and SA/UT activity ratios were measured. A paired t-test was used to compare the differences between two arm-lifting exercises and two arm lifting with isometric adduction exercises. RESULTS: In ALIA and DALIA exercises, the UT muscle activity decreased significantly, whereas the LT/UT, SA/UT activity ratio increased significantly. The activity of SA muscle increased significantly more with DALIA than that with DAL. CONCLUSION: Arm-lifting exercises using a Thera-band can be implemented as an effective way to reduce the UT overactivity and increase the SA activity and LT/UT, SA/UT activity ratio in subjects with RSP.

신체동작에 따른 상지형태변화에 관한 피복인간공학적 연구 - 전방수직동작과 측방수직동작을 중심으로 - (A Clothing-Ergonomics Study on the Variation of Upper Arm Skin Surface According to Arm Movements - on the arm movements to the vertical direction in front and in side -)

  • A clothing-erogonomics study was performed to investigate the difference of the upper arm skin skin surface and the relationship among the three aspects of upper arm (height of sleeve rap, sleeve width and armhole girth) by changing arm movements. Plaster cast was used for this experimental research. Arm movements consist of 9 types; just carmly standing on ($0^{\circ}$), and each 4 types ($45^{\circ},\;90^{\circ},\;135^{\circ},\;180^{\circ}$) to the vertical direction in front and in side. The results were as follows; 1) As the arm-movement angle increased, the height of sleeve cap decreased and that ratio was largest in the portion A-B3. 2) The steeve width was enlarged with the increment of movement angle in all portions of upper arm except B1-B5. 3) As increasing the movement angle, the whole armhole girth decreased and the ratio o(front armhole girth (F-A) was larger than that of back. 4) In the vertical direction in front, the height o( the sleeve caps was larger, the sleeve widths were smaller than in the vertical direction in side in all movement types, but there was no significant difference in arm-hole girth between the two cases. 5) There were significantly negative relationships between measurements in height of sleeve cap and those in sleeve width, and also between those in height of sleeve cap and in arm-hole girth. And significantly positive relationships were found between neasurements in height of sleeve cap and those in arm-hole girth.

팔 유형 특성에 따른 소매 적합성 연구 (A Study on the Sleeve Fitness According to Characteristics of Arm Types)

  • The purpose of this study were to examine the characteristics of arm types proposed in the previous study and to present sleeve patterns according size and shape of 4 arm types. 31 direct and indirect items were measured. The subjects for this study were 132 females of twenties. The results were as follows. 1. All of the direct measurements showed significant difference by the arm types. especially at the front armhole part. Such a.: the items of arm gradients, armhole sizes belong to the indirect measurements made clear difference also. 2. By the discriminant analysis, 9 items including underarm length, front armhole girth, upper arm girth, degree of elbow point-wrist point discriminated arm type by the hit ratio of 90.4% Item related to shape of arm rather than size made a sharp distinction. 3. Through the examination of existing patterns and wearing tests on the subjects among 4 groups, sleeve patterns classified by the arm type were suggested.

팔 동작에 따른 소매유무별 블라우스의 착의 공극량 변화 (A Change of the Gap in Dressed Blouses with Above-elbow Sleeves and Sleeveless According to Arm Movements)

  • The experiment is designed to create some useful data on the dressed shapes that contribute to simulating the adaptability of clothes. We studied the dressed shapes of blouse with above-elbow sleeves and sleeveless according to five types of arm movement (basic posture, reach forward 45, 90, and reach lateral 45, 90) in the stand-posture. Experiments were conducted to understand the dressed shape through 3-D measurement Vivid 910 and to investigate the width, depth, area distribution and gap of the shape of blouses on the section map with a software program for 3-D shape analysis, Rapid Form 2004. The Data were analyzed by factor analysis. The results of this study are as follows: The ratio of depth per width in the stand-posture was lower than other arm movements and the reach lateral was higher than the reach forward. The gap of the upper body was a briefed 4 factor; front, front-side, back, and back-side. It was higher than the sleeveless with a change of the gap in the dressed blouse with above-elbow sleeves by arm movements per stand-posture. The divisional gap shows the adaptability of clothes according to the types of blouse and arm movements in the change of the ratio.

팔 흔들기가 뇌졸중으로 인한 편마비 환자의 보행에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Arm Swing on Gait in Post-Stroke Hemiparesis)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the variations in gait parameters according to arm swing use in post stroke hemiparesis. Methods : Sixteen patients participated in this study and walked at self-selected speeds on a Rs-scan systems. The were randomly assigned conditions: self-selected arm swing, constraint arm swing, emphasis arm swing. Results : In the comparison of parameters in each trial, both affected step length, non affected step length, affected stride length, non affected stride length, affected single support time, and non affected single support time were significantly increased and double support time was significantly decrease in emphasis arm swing when compared with both self-selected arm swing and constraint arm swing(p<.05). However, Asymmetrical ratio was significantly increased in both emphasis arm swing and self-selected arm swing when compared constraint arm swing(p<.05). Conclusion : Therefore, In this study, gait rehabilitation of patients with hemiplegia depending on what you need to apply the arm swing is considered.

소나무속(屬) 12수종(樹種)의 염색체(染色體) 핵형분석(核型分析)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Karyotype Analysis in Twelve Species of Pinus Genus)

  • 국내(國內)에서 식재(植載)되고 있는 소나무류(類)(Hard Pine) 6종(種)과 잣나무류(類)(Soft Pine) 5종류(種類)의 Root-tip을 재료(材料)로하여 염색체(染色體)의 Long, Short arm과 총(總)길이를 측정(測定)S/L ratio를 구(求)하고 이차내착(二次猍窄)의 위치(位置)를 찾아내고 Idiogram을 도해(圖解)하여 Long arm의 Descending order의 순서(順序)가 바뀌는 Pattern을 밝혔다. 소나무속(屬)의 염색체(染色體)는 기본수(基本數)가 n=12, 길이가 거의 비슷하고 S/L ratio가 l에 가까운 M형(型)이 10개(個), SM형(型)이거나 SM형(型)에 가까운 길이가 짧은 것 2개(個)가 합(合)해서 Chromosone 1set를 구성(構成)한다. 이차내착(二次猍窄)의 수(數)와 위치(位置), Long arm의 Descending order의 순위(順位)가 바뀌는 Pattern으로 종간(種間)의 식별(識別)이 가능(可能)했고 Long arm의 Descending order Pattern을 비교분석(比較分析)함으로서 산지(産地)에 따라 종내변이(種內變異)를 인정(認定)할 수 있었다. 소나무류(類)와 잣나무류(類) group의 염색체구조상(染色體構造上)의 차이(差異)는 있었지만 외부형태적(外部形態的) 특성(特性)에 차이(差異)만큼 크지는 않았다. 염색체(染色體)는 시약(試藥)의 처리농도(處理濃度), 시간(時間)에 따라 아주 예민한 반응(反應)을 일으키므로 최우점(最遇點)을 맞추기가 어렵고 반복(反復)되는 실험(實驗)에서 정확(正確)히 동일(同一)하게 처리(處理)하기가 어렵다. 따라서 약간(若干)씩 다른 결과(結果)가 나올 수 있다. 또 preparatur 제작상(製作上)의 여러 가지 어려움 때문에 분석상(分析上)에 착오(錯誤)를 일으킬 가능성(可能性)이 있었다.

팔걸이가 편마비환자의 보행에 미치는 영향 (Effect of an Arm Sling on Gait with Hemiparesis)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate the effect of an arm sling on gait with hemiparesis. Methods: Fifteen patients(8 male, 7 female) with hemiparesis participated in this study and walked self-selected speed over 10m walkway, randomly without arm sling, with Single strap hemisling and Rolyan humeral cuff sling. It were filmed by 5 video camera and used with 3-dimensional motion analyzer system. The following gait variables were analyzed: temporo-spatial parameters, kinematic parameters. Results: In the comparison of temporo-spatial parameters each trial, walking velocity and single support time on affected side was significantly increased and step length on affected side, step length asymmetry ratio, single support time asymmetry ratio was significantly decreased in the Single strap hemisling and Rolyan humeral cuff sling. In the comparison of kinematic parameters each trial, maximal angle of the hip flexion on affected side was significantly increased in the Single strap hemisling and Rolyan humeral cuff sling and maximal angle of the knee flexion on affected side was significantly increased in the Rolyan humeral cuff sling and maximal angle of the ankle dorsiflexion on affected side was significantly increased in the Single strap hemisling. Conclusion: An arm sling improved walking velocity and decreased asymmetry and increased maximal angle of hip, knee, ankle flexion on affected side with hemiparesis caused by stroke.

한국 여고생의 표준치수 설정을 위한 연구 (II) (A Study of Establishment of the Standard Sizes for the High School Girls (II))

  • The objective of the study was to obtain standard sizes of body of the high school girls for designing clothes and developing pattern grading of clothes. In 1972, 342 students, selected by the stratified cluster random sampling method, at three high schools in Seoul were measured on forty-one items by the R. Martin method. Statistical techniques of mean, standard deviation, coefficient variable, maximum and minimum, range, t-test were utilized to analyze the data. The findings of the study were as follows ; 1. No differences were found among the age groups in the all measured variables. 2. Stature, bust girth, hip girth, acromion width, posterior waist girth/stature ratio of the high school girls were significantly smaller than those sizes of adult women. This result implies that those sizes will be increased as the students grow up. But upper arm girth, upper arm girth/bust girth ratio, and thigh girth/bust girth ratio were bigger than those sizes of adult women. Waist girth, thigh girth, total head height/stature ratio, acromion width/stature ratio, and foot length/stature ratio were nearly similiar to those of adult women. 3. According to the result of t-test, waist breadth, spinailiaca anterior height/stature ratio, thigh girth/bust girth ratio, and thigh/hip girth ratio of the 15 year old group were significantly different from those of the 16 year old group at the level of 0.05. Bust girth, weight, foot breadth, posterior croth length, and cervical height/stature ratio of the 16 year old group were significantly different from those of the 17 year old group at the level of 0.01. Hip girth, upper arm girth, waist breadth/stature ratio, and neck base girth/bust girth ratio of the 16 year old group were significantly different from those of the 17 year old group at the level of 0.05.
