  • With the proliferation of cloud computing infrastructures, service providers are able to deploy services in on-demand manner. Recently, microservice architecture has been attracting attention in order to maximize the efficiency of resource expansion in cloud infrastructure. Instead of implementing all of the service functions in a single software, service providers can easily and autonomously implement the necessary services by interconnecting the necessary services through an efficiently designed application programming interface (API). Moreover service developer can freely choice programming languages and define software, and functional structures to meet their functional requirements. In this paper, we propose virtual infrastructure manager service based on microservice architecture and evaluates its performance in scalability perspective.

  • Density is the most important congestion indicator among the three fundamental flow variables, flow, speed and density. Measuring density in the field has two different ways, direct and indirect. Taking photos with wide views is one of direct ways, which is not widely used because of its cost and lacking of proper positions. Another direct density measuring method using two point detectors has been introduced with the concept of instantaneous density, average density and measurement interval. The relationship between accuracy and measurement interval has been investigated using the SIMULATION data produced by Paramics Application Programming Interface function. We analyze the affect of segment density accuracy by sensing gap each road condition such as sensing segment length, lane and LOS after gathering data by Paramics Application Programming Interface.

  • In this capstone design, weather information using Web API (Application Programming Interface) was obtained from the web and based on the information, a realistic weather displayer was made that enables users to acquire weather information more conveniently and intuitively. To implement this, weather information data according to the region is retrieved through a open API providing weather information. Based on this data, the combination of LED, submersible pump, and humidifier module realized weather effect such as rain, fog, thunder, cloudy, and sunny. You can get weather information from various regions via WiFi and get real-time weather information by retrieving data after a single weather information expression routine. In addition to Wi-Fi, we have also tested the basic performance that enables users to express the desired weather effect by enabling weather expression through Bluetooth communication.

  • This research investigates a kill probability model for the performance evaluation of guided missile system, and also develops the user interface implementation for the output of the model based on the visual object-oriented programming application. This paper describes in detail the methodology for the kill probability attained by a missile warhead detonating near an airborne target. The major simulation events used in this research are missile guidance homing point, burst points, and kill mechanism(direct kill, blast kill and fragment kill). For the user interface, we also design and implement the visualization system that can show the graphic style of the kill probability attained by the model. This research will bridge the gap between the sophisticated kill probability model and users who want to see the results interactively with visualization, which can benefit many of other military systems. Some examples are shown, but these will be improved to be better with visual simulation which can visualize all the simulation process of the model.

  • The world health organization classified the emerging coronavirus (known as Covid-19) as a pandemic after confirming the extent of spread and scale. As a matter of fact, outbreaks of similar scale or even worse have been witnessed throughout history. Thus, the development of prevention strategies exists to protect against such calamaties. One of the widely proven measures that controls the spread of any contagious diseases is social distancing. As a result, this paper will demonstrate the concept of an application "Be Aware" on enabling the implementation of this preventive measure. In particular "Be aware" evaluates the extent of congestion in public places using current time data. The proposed project will use Global Positioning System (GPS), and Application Programming Interface (API), to ensure information accuracy, and the API use Crowdsourcing to collect Real-Time Data (RTD) from the selected places. • A two-step procedure for the application of non linear constrained programming to the limit analysis of rigid brick-block systems with no-tension and frictional interface is implemented and applied to various masonry structures. In the first step, a linear problem of programming, obtained by applying the upper bound theorem of limit analysis to systems of blocks interacting through no-tension and dilatant interfaces, is solved. The solution of this linear program is then employed as initial guess for a non linear and non convex problem of programming, obtained applying both the 'mechanism' and the 'equilibrium' approaches to the same block system with no-tension and frictional interfaces. The optimiser used is based on the sequential quadratic programming. The gradients of the constraints required are provided directly in symbolic form. In this way the program easily converges to the optimal solution even for systems with many degrees of freedom. Various numerical analyses showed that the procedure allows a reliable investigation of the ultimate behaviour of jointed structures, such as stone masonry structures, under statical load conditions.

  • In this paper, we present an automatic C source code generation system for DirectShow based multimedia application programming. In this system, C source code is automatically synthesized from the filter connection graph edited with GraphEdit, a utility tool provided with DirectShow SDK package from Microsoft. In traditional DirectShow programming environments, program design and brief testing steps are usually done with GraphEdit tool just by inserting filters and connecting them properly, while actual implementation of the program should be done separately. The filter connection graph information from GraphEdit is used just as a reference in such the implementation step. Therefore, our system which automatically generates C source code directly from the filter connection graph of GraphEdit seems very useful and many programmers can develop DirectShow based multimedia application programs more effectively and quickly using our system. In addition, our system supports more various media stream control functions for the generated application programs than the existing system such as Wizard which supports limited and fixed number of media control functions only. This feature allows more flexibility in the user interface of the generated source program and makes our system more practical for DirectShow based programming.

  • This paper presents a windows application for voltage sag analysis and effective data visualization. The developed Voltage Sag Analysis Tool (VSAT) was designed by using the Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concept and C++ programming language. The VSAT provides basic functions for voltage sag analysis such as power flow analysis, short circuit analysis and stochastic analysis. In particular, the VSAT provides effective data visualization through computer graphics and animation. Analysis results are expressed realistically and intuitively on geographical display. The Graphic User Interface (GUI) of VSAT was designed specifically for voltage sag analysis. In this paper, the development and implementation of VSAT is presented. In order to demonstrate the capabilities of VSAT, it is used to analyze the Jeju Island power system in South Korea.
