While Electronic Commerce is believed to provide new opportunities and environments toward the information society, not many companies have achieved successful construction of Electronic Commerce systems regarding their own technology factors and business process types. This work provides a brief review of Electronic Commerce information infrastructure based on the technology architecture developed. Three major technologies-telecommunication, information processing, and process enhancement - support the architecture, and each major technology consists of its technical enablers. Also, the application factors of Electronic Commerce are defined and analyzed in term of inter-enterprise, intra-enterprise, and enterprise-consumer interactivity. Finally, the implementation strategy is drawn with respect to the technology architecture and three application types.

Typical multi-tier client/server architecture includes various and complex objects scattered around the network. Those objects must be clearly identified and designed. Then, their interface must be well-defined so that the integration can be done without major difficulties. This paper presents an application framework to increase reuse and to accomplish architectural simplicity in information systems development. Each component of the architecture is identified and designed. The proposed architecture of the application framework provides the fundamental structure for developing individual functions of an information system. Resulting architectural simplicity achieves effective and efficient maintenance throughout the lifecycle of the information systems. Although the framework aims at the reuse within a project, the productivity of information systems development across projects will be greatly improved eventually. Cases are discussed to evaluate the practicality of the architecture presented.

Recently, the marine leisure industry has begun to make a mark on the growth engines of the Korean economy. Hence, various government research projects are in progress to catch up with the fundamental yacht technologies of advanced countries. Research on the integrated management technologies of sail yachts is carried out as a part of those projects. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is a basic architecture for robust and high-level management systems. In this paper, we suggest a product-oriented Yacht Work Breakdown Structure (YWBS). General WBS has a drawback in that it can only follow the targeted purpose, but YWBS allows for a generic WBS approach. This concept allows us to apply WBS to multi-purpose uses. The YWBS is used as an infrastructure in information management and for data relationships in sail yacht management systems. YWBS is designed and managed by a web application, and the system is implemented with a website as a user interface. This application has not only a design function, but also a data transfer function that is based on the Microsoft Silverlight platform, a kind of Rich Internet Application (RIA) technology. Using this application, YWBS designers can communicate with the management system without added tasks like as uploading and updating.

This study aims at developing the high speed/intelligent machining system suing the plug/play method of an open architecture controller. The plug/play technology by the Application Specific Function (ASF), can readily implement the open architecture controller into various machining system or other automatic equipments. For the open architecture controller, this study developed the open HMI, screen editor, ASF, visual builder, and controller OS technology as software components. On the other hand, we developed the I/O module and main board as control hardware system. This study, as an example, presents integration of individual component technologies for the plug/play type open architecture CNC system.

The telecom world is steadily converging with the IP world, the benefits of converged services are required by many traditional telecom users. The aim of this thesis is to study the functional architecture of NGN based converged service. This thesis also shows how the converged service could be implemented on NGN with IMS core architecture.

국내외적으로 차세대 아키텍처인 SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있으며, 수년 내에 SOA가 일반적인 아키텍처가 될 것으로 전망되고 있다. 하지만, SOA를 실제로 구축하고 활용하기에는 많은 장벽들이 존재하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SOA기반의 Application을 구축하기 위해 필요한 컴포넌트 규격에 대한 연구와 함께 기존의 분산 객체 컴포넌트를 확장하여 비즈니스 컴포넌트로 구축 가능하게 지원하는 SCA(Service Component Architecture)를 기반으로 SOA를 구축하는 방안을 제시하여, SOA의 장점인 유연성과 상호운용성을 보장하는 Application 구축에 활용이 가능하도록 하고, 이론 및 사상적인 측면에서 벗어나 현실화된 Architecture로써 SOA가 도입 될 수 있도록 하고자 한다.

우리 나라 환경에 적합한 국가 지능형 교통체계(ITS: Intelligent Transportation Systems)의 구현을 위한 국가 아키텍쳐 수립연구가 국토연구원과 관련 학계와 산업계의 협동연구로 지난 3년간 수행되어 천여 페이지에 달하는 국가 아키텍쳐가 수립된 바 있다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해서 고안된 도메인 수준과 논리 수준 및 물리 수준의 아키텍쳐 모형과 방법론을 제시한다. 도메인 수준의 아키텍쳐는 ITS를 구현함에 있어 관계되는 영역간의 국가적 협동체계를 이룩하기 위한 국가적 기본 틀이고 논리수준의 아키텍쳐는 서비스의 중복/사각/상충을 방지하기 위한 국가적 기본 틀이며 물리수준의 아키텍쳐는 서비스 시스템을 구축함에 있어 물리적 정보기술 자원을 효율적으로 할당하여 시스템 구축의 경제성과 효율성을 도모하기 위한 시스템의 물리적 구성 틀이다. 이를 위한 모델과 기법은 고전적 컴퓨터 기반 시스템공학에서의 프로세스 지향적 사고와 기법을 수정 보완하고 확장한 것으로 고 수준(High Level)에서의 아키텍쳐 구상에 적절한 것이다. 저 수준(Low Level)의 아키텍쳐는 설계 수준에서 이루어지는 것으로 전제하였다.

Thanks to the characteristic of high-rise buildings, the increase of wind speed according to the height of a building makes it possible to use high wind power resources, many countries led by some advanced nations are recently making steady and persistent effort in introducing small wind turbine systems as a step to lower electric power load in high-rise buildings. The aim of this research is to propose an optimum application process of a small wind turbine system in high-rise buildings. To achieve this goal, the case studies on the applications of high-rise and tall buildings were conducted and the best application among them was selected. On the basis of the case studies, an application process was proposed.

Many countries are faced with problems of energy demand and environmentally. Renewable energy is the interesting solution to deal this problems. In Korea, it is planed to apply the renewable energy to 5% of total energy demand by 2011. For this, the government has supported by various promotion program of renewable energy Policy Consideration of renewable energy system is essential for sustainable urban regeneration. Renewable energy application will be possible to make friendly environmental and sustainable city and deal with the energy and environment problem. This study will provide fundamental data to applying renewable energy systems for urban generation. There are evaluated for economic feasibility of renewable energy systems and analyzed application of them by building type as a urban energy source.

In this paper, current application of VR in naval architecture and ocean eng. Design is surveyed and VR process is implemented in ship navigation system. So far, very sophisticated VR applications have announced but not published yet. The reason not published may be that the application is for the navy ship of which the information could not be opened to the public. Also there is another area implementing Simulation Based Design, i..e., visualization of the integration process from initial design to the manufacturing. Herein, the tendency of VR in this area is surveyed, so the international application of VR is introduced. Trough the analysis the most appropriate applicability of VR in this area can be distinguished. And to show the application, ship navigation VR is programmed using OpenGL graphics software.
