We developed a sterotactic radiosurgery system which is comprised of 1) collimators with small circular aperture, 2) an angiographic target localizer, 3) a target localizer used for alignment of planned target position with isocenter of treatment machine, and 4) a treatment planning system named LinaPel. In this study, we performed a series of treatment simulations to specify and analyze geometrical errors contained our in-house radiosurgery system. As results, 1) using Geometrical Phantom(Radionics,USA), the accuracy of target localization by LinaPel was determined as Avg. =(equation omitted) the accuracy of mechanical isocenter was found out to be 0.6 $\pm$ 0.2 mm, 3) the positional difference of target localization which determined by CT and angiography was 0.8 mm, and their size difference was 1.5 mm, and 4) the positional error during whole treatment was found out to be 0.9 $\pm$ 0.3 mm. With these results, we concluded that our in-house radiosurgery system can be used clinically. However, these range of accuracies need periodical quality assurance strongly.
Using numerous ground-based or space-based telescopes by many astronomers, AGN spectroscopic monitoring campaigns have been carried out over many years to study the variability of continua and emission lines. We investigate the SWP IUE spectra of a large aperture configuration for the Seyfert 1 galaxies NGC 4151 and NGC 5548. We estimate the BLR electron number densities and their variation from the line ratios of C III] 1909 to Si III] 1892. With the ratios of C IV 1550 to C III] 1909 which give us the information on the ionization parameter of BLR, we try to find the physical conditions of the BLR and activities of he super massive black hole surroundings. The BLR density variations scale as 4 and 8 for NGC 4151 and NGC 5548, respectively. Based on the BLR size and C III] line profiles, we found both black hole masses as about $10^7$$M_{\odot}$.
We tried to design and manufacture a night scope which is used in the leisure sports field. The whole system consists of an IR light source part, an objective lens part, an intensifier tube part and an eye_piece lens part. We designed an objective lens part to the infinite object imaging optical-system with 80mm focal-length, 40mm effective-aperture and 14mm image-field-size of which the chromatic aberration is reduced by using materials of BK7 and FD4. The resolution of this system is about 25lines/mm at the 40% MTF value criterion. The eye_piece lens is adopted goods to be used commercially to save cost of production. The design technique which gets in this development will be utilized greatly in good developments of the dot, the sight and the day/night riflescope system at the hereafter.
Flat panel-based parallax barrier or lenticular based 3D display devices that have been developed recently are designed to feel depth. In order to see a three-dimensional(3D) image by the display device, a multi-view image displayed on the flat panel must be regenerated from images of multi-views using a subsampling method. Previous subsampling methods are focused on reducing crosstalk. In this paper, we focus on a misalignment that is occurred on manufacture process of slanted parallax barrier based autostereoscopic display device. Therefore, we propose a interleaving method that considers tilt of slanted parallax barrier, aperture size, and distance between an autostereoscopic display device and a viewer to see a 3D image regardless of a viewer position.

This paper describes solar light collecting system which employs parabolic reflector and Fresnel lens and its industrial application. We have introduced second-stage optical system so that it makes optical fiber overcome its numerical aperture limitation and also it makes focused light become collimated, which results in decreased light energy density. As result of these, light collecting efficiency become maximized and the system does not require separate cooling apparatus any more. The developed solar lighting system together with artificial light source like LED has been applied to plant factory as a hybrid lighting source. This makes us save electric energy for artificial lighting during day time. The intensity of LED light in the hybrid lighting system is controlled automatically according to ambient-light-sensor installed in the system so that the light intensity for a plant always keeps the same level no matter how the sun light changes. For a plant factory whose size is 330 square meters, when solar lighting system is applied, 28,080KWh electric energy can be saved per month.2 times.

In this work, for the first time, the quality of restoration in wide-field microscopy images after deconvolution was analyzed as a function of different Point Spread Functions using one deconvolution method, on a specimen of known size and on a biological specimen. The empirical Point Spread Function determination can significantly depend on the numerical aperture, refractive index of the embedding medium, refractive index of the immersion oil and cover slip thickness. The influence of all of these factors is shown in the same article and using the same microscope. We have found that the best deconvolution results are obtained when the empirical PSF utilized is obtained under the same conditions as the specimen. We also demonstrated that it is very important to quantitatively check the process' outcome using several quality indicators: Full-Width at Half-Maximum, Contrast-to-Noise Ratio, Signal-to-Noise Ratio and a Tenengrad-based function. We detected a significant improvement when using an indicator to measure the focus of the whole stack. Therefore, to qualitatively determinate the best deconvolved image between different conditions, one approach that we are pursuing is to use Tenengrad-based function indicators in images obtained using a wide-field microscope.
Pollen grains of seven taxa on the family Pyrolaceae, known to be distributed in Korea (Pyrola dahurica(Andreses) Kom., P. incarnata (DC.) Fisch. ex Kom., P. japonica Klenze ex Alefeld, P. minor L., P. renifolia Max., Orthilia secunda (L.) House, Chimaphila japonica Miq.), were examined by the light and the scanning electron microscope in order to evaluate their taxonomic significances. The pollen units of genus Pyrola, Orthilia, Chimaphila were tetrad, monad, polyad respectively. This characteristics was good character for delimiting the genus, and Orthilia secunda (L.) House was more proper scientific name than Pyrola secunda L. based upon this character. Pollen size, tricolporate length, surface sculpturing pattern were different slightly among the treated taxa, and surface sculpturing patterns of Pyrola dahurica, P. incarnate, P. renifolia, Chimaphiza japonica were different from previous reports. Evolutionary trends of pollen grains in Pyrolaceae were inferred from the pollen units and aperture shapes.

Main parameters of the screen printing were determined and the printing parameters were optimized for 0402, 0603, and 1005 chips in this study. The solder pastes used in this study were Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu and Sn-0.7Cu. The process parameters were stencil thickness, squeegee angle, printing speed, stencil separating speed and gap between stencil and PCB. The printing pressure was fixed at 2 $kgf/cm^2$. From ANOVA results, the stencil thickness and the squeegee angle were determined to be main parameters for the printing efficiency. The printing efficiency was optimized with varying two main parameters, the stencil thickness and the squeegee angle. The printing efficiency increased as the squeegee angle was lowered under 45o for all chips. For the 0402 and the 0603 chips, the printing efficiency increased as the stencil thickness decreased. On the other hand, for the 1005 chip, the printing efficiency increased as the stencil thickness increased.

We have designed a millimeter-wave passive imaging sensor with multi-horn antenna array. Six horn array antenna is suggested that it is integrated into one housing, and this antenna is effectively configurated m space to assemble with LNA of WR-10 structure. Antenna is designed to have the peak gain of 17.5dBi at the center frequency of 94GHz, and the return loss of less than -25dB in W-band, and the small aperture size of $6mm{\times}9mm$ for antenna configuration with high resolution. LNA is designed to have total gain of more than 55dB and noise figure of less than 5dB for good sensitivity. We made a detector for DC output translation of millimeter-wave signal with zero bias Schottky diode. It is shown that good sensitivity of more than 500mV/mW.
The definitive correction of secondary lip nasal deformities is a great challenge for plastic surgeons. To rectify the secondary lip nasal deformities, various procedures and its modifications have been reported in many centers. However, no universal agreement exist to correct the various components of secondary nasal deformities. The secondary nasal deformity of the unilateral cleft lip has its own characteristic abnormalities including the retroplaced dome of the ipsilateral nasal tip, hooding of the alar rim, a secondary alar-columellar web, short columella, depressed alar base and so forth. Among these components of secondary nasal deformity, maxillary hypoplasia, especially in the area of piriform aperture, and alveolar bone defect can make the alar base depressed, which in turn, leads to wide and flat nasal profile, obtuse nasolabial angle coupled with subnormal nasal tip projection in aspect of aesthetic consideration. Moreover, the maxillary hypoplasia contributes to reduced size of the nasal airway in combination with other component of external nasal deformity and therefore the nasal obstruction may be developed functionally. Therefore, the current authors have performed corrective rhinoplasty with the augmentation of alar base with various methods which include rearrangement of soft tissue, vertical scar tissue flap and use of allogenic or autologous materials in 42 patients between 1998 and 2003. The symmetric alar base could be achieved, which provides the more accurate evaluation and more appropriate management of the various component of any coexisting secondary nasal deformity. In conclusion, the augmentation of alar base, as a single procedure, is a basic and essential to correct the secondary lip nasal deformities.
