  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors of residential life management of apartment house, and to examine the tendency of demands and satisfaction according to the resident's characteristics. As the result, 5 factors of residential life management of apartment house were extracted. They are I. Residential life accommodation service, II. Residential life support service, III. Resident's activety support and announcement of management works. IV. Safety and order mainteanance, V. Precaution to accident.

  • This paper descrides on the economical design of apartment house. * The optimal problems are made by considering the objective function which minimize the construction cost of frame. * The object functions are taken as the codfficient equations of the cost function for a unit area. * Constraints are the design limits defined by the ultimate flexural strength, the ultimate shear strength. the minimum thickness, and the ratio of steel in accordance with ACI 318-89 Code. * Optimization is achieved by optimum nonlinear GINO(General interactive Optimizer)program. In design examples, it is compared with the optimum design results of apartment house and underground parking lot for structural systems.

  • The research was investigated and analysed to get basic data which was made outside environment at apartment house complex. The subject of research is housing complex in Japan. Result of research is as following. 1) The house environment is amenity, because they developed the space as green area and open space without developing outside space as a parking lot. 2) They have developed an apartment design variously. it has variety that the design of facets colors, roof forms, attached facilities etc. 3) Housing complex's center axis is needed to make a plan, that a pedestrian passage which is rich in green area is better than a road.

  • The objective of this research is to provide basic materials for future development of unit household plane of lease apartment house by comparing and analyzing the unit household plane of SH Corporation lease apartment house in Korea and PHA apartment house in the state of Minnesota, USA. For this purpose, the researcher chose 8 SH Corporation lease apartment houses in Yangcheon-gu Korea and 16 PHA apartment houses in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. Drawing of 8 complexes of Korea SH Corporation, literary materials collected by Korea House Corporation and SH Corporation and the plane of USA were analyzed and the unit household plane of Korea and USA were processed by CAD to ensure exact analysis. Based on the drawing for CAD, the materialization work was implemented. The total size of materialized drawing and size of each room was drawn by using 'CAD POWER 2005' program. The result of this research is as follows. The plane of SH Corporation lease apartment house shows the difference in the plane composition from 12 pyung. Since LIVING ROOM is described in the drawing, the living room and bedroom seen in the existing size less than 12 pyung become independent as they are separate. While SH Corporation is composed in the form of kitchen that functions as dining room, living room functions as dining room in PHA. While SH Corporation shows 5 types, PHA shows different pattern in each complex. This is probably because PHA has diverse complexes. All planes of SH Corporation have entrance, which reflect the own character of Korea as it is. In PHA, the portion of receipt and storage space is very high.

A Reform of Two to One Dwelling Unit for Three Generation Family Living of Small Houses (3대 동거가족을 위한 소형 아파트 2호1주택 리폼 연구)

  • A goal of this research is to propose the remodeling possibility from deteriorated stock apartment housing, to three generation family living in a dwelling unit for low incomes. An apartment housing which was built from 1970s, is accumulated over $55\%$ of the stock housing in Korea, many of them are confront with a rebuilding in a short usage of twenty years below. They are small one, and many of the residence complain narrow and small space compare to economic growth and their needs. This article deals the reform of two to one dwelling units, that it can be use for three generation family living as a new residence, because its spatial character is more controled privacy condition as a four bay spatial organization in the dwelling. The reform simulated in a 10, 13, 14, 15, and 16 pyung, the remodeling size became from 20 to 30 pyung, and its reform can be apply to extend life cycle of a stock confront with redevelopment. The possibility of the reform houses have more intensive privacy in a house compare with same area of new apartment. It tells us that we can recycle the deteriorate apartment house into three generation family living use, and it will be clue to change slum clearance into reform and recycle of deteriorate apartment house.

The Study on the Renovation Method of Apartment House Ventilation System for Reducing Indoor Air Contamination (실내오염 저감을 위한 공동주택 환기시스템의 개선방안에 대한 연구)

  • Recently, Indoor air quality (IAQ) is one of the most important problem in our daily life of modern societies. Mechanical ventilation system is being recommended as an effective method to improve IAQ in apartment houses. And then, in Korea, building industry should install ventilation system in apartment house by the building construction code. In this study, to improve IAQ caused by microbial and chemical contaminant such as bacteria and TVOC, three types of mechanical ventilation system of apartment house including HRV were simulated by multizone modeling. Simulation results suggest an appropriate and economical renovation method of apartment house ventilation system for reducing indoor air contamination.

Variable apartment building planning by using combinable container house module (가변적 평면이 가능한 컨테이너 모듈형 조립식 공동주택의 건축계획)

  • Purpose: Now a day, Most of the residential house in Korea consists of apartment buildings. However, in the case of old apartment buildings, dwelling environment condition depends on management effort by residents. But we can't rebuild or restructure only old single dwelling unit in apartment buildings. And we can't move every single dwelling unit in the apartment building. Therefore, this study suggests a prototype of combinable container dwelling module apartment. Method: The method of research is exploring the case of previously constructed containers. Based on the case, This study suggests prototypes to create a variable apartment design with dwelling container units. Based on the prototype, various combinations are proposed to produce various types of dwelling space. Finally, this study makes an example plan for the apartment by using the container unit modules. Results: This study suggests combinable container apartment building prototypes. And it may be a fundamental study of changing the apartment building concept.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide new design techniques for designers to design energy saving balcony in the apartment house using solar energy passively. These design techniques are examined with some samples of foreign buildings used solar energy passively. To classify these design techniques, this study sorts out the energy saving design elements from the preliminary studies. The results of this study show how to apply each design technique to the design of balcony in the apartment house and present a classification table of these techniques. Finally, this study suggests a design solution which can be applied in the design of balcony in existing apartment house.

  • Recently the impact sound insulation performance is regarded as one of the most important factor in determining the quality of apartment house. So many studies were carried out to improve these performance and to propose an appropriate evaluation method and standard of floor impact sound insulation for apartment house by psycho-acoustic method in the laboratory. This study was carried out the field psycho-acoustic test to find a correlation between physically measured values and psychological response in apartment house, and the results will be used to establish the appropriate evaluation method and standard of floor impact sound insulation.

  • This study is for classification of the management works in the Apartment House. The approach of this study depends on the consultation of concerned references and direct interview by structured questionnaire. The management works are classified and compared, analysized with foreign cases. 1) It is 13 hour a day to carring out the management works in the Board. 2) Compared the management works in the Apartment House with England and the united states, the leaders, they are the first I performing all of management. The secondaries are the Japan and Korea. Specially Japan is collecting data in the maintenance. In case of Korea, they are performing all of management but little. We expect a more thoroughgoing preinvestigation, control of planning and management of community life for the inhabitants in time to come. 3) the management works of the Apartment House are classified three types. \circled1management of administration \circled2 management of maintenance \circled3 management of community life control.
