자망에 대한 대게 수컷의 망목 선택성 (Size selectivity of gill net for male snow crab, Chionoecetes opilio)

  • 본 연구에서는 자망에 대한 대게 수컷의 망목선택성을 구명하기 위하여 5종류의 망목 (m = 180, 210, 240, 270, 300㎜)으로 구성된 자망을 제작하고, 2002년 1월부터 2003년 3월까지 경북 죽변항 주변 수역에서 총 12회의 시험조업을 행하였다. 망목선택성 곡선의 계산에 사용될 데이터 확보를 위하여 어획된 대게 수컷의 전수에 대한 최대갑장 RL을 디지털 켈리퍼스를 사용하여 0.1㎜ 단위로 측정하였다. 망목선택성 곡선의 추정에는 Kitahara의 방법을 사용하였다. 대수 망목선택성 곡선의 함수로써 좌우대칭형인 2차식과 좌우비대칭형인 3 차식을 적용하였으며, 최소지승법을 사용하여 각 모델의 파라미터를 추정하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 자망에 대한 대게 수컷의 망목선택성 곡선은 Model 의 적합도 비교를 통하여 좌우비대칭형인 3 차식이 선택되었다. 2. 망목선택성의 결과는 망목이 커질수록 소형 수게의 혼획이 감소한다는 것을 나타낸다. 3. 망목선택성 곡선은 이하의 수식으로 표현된다. S(R) = S(RL/m) = exp ((44.06 R³- 84.16 R²+ 52.30 R-5.46) - 5.17) 4. 선택률 1을 나타내는 최적 RL/m의 값은 0.549이며, 선택률 0.5, 0.25, 0.2를 나타내는 RL/m은 각각 0.356, 0.296, 0.281로 추정되었다.

Diversity and Composition of Tree Species in Madhupur National Park, Tangail, Bangladesh

  • Madhupur National Park (MNP) is one of the last remaining patches of old-growth natural Sal forest left in Bangladesh where the forest is tropical moist deciduous type. A study was revealed to assess the tree species diversity and composition in this area. For determining tree species the study was conducted through extensive random quadrat survey methods with $20m{\times}20m$ sized plots. Results of the study indicated that there were 139 tree species belonging to 100 genera and 40 families. The quadrat survey assessed the basal area, stem density, diversity indices and importance value index of the tree species having ${\geq}5cm$ D.B.H (Diameter at Brest Height). The basal area and stem density of the tree species were $20.689{\pm}1.08m^2/ha$ and $1412.93{\pm}64.27stem\;ha^{-1}$ while, diversity indices, i.e. Shannon-Wiener's diversity, Simpson's evenness, Margalef's species richness and Pielou's dominance indices indicated poor diversity in comparison to that of other PAs (Protected Areas) in South-Eastern region of Bangladesh. The structural composition based on height and D.B.H through reverse-J shaped curve indicated higher regeneration and recruitment but removal of trees of large growth classes. Sal (Shorea robusta) was the most dominant tree species that accounts 75% of the total tree individuals in the natural forest patches. However, some associates of Sal, i.e. Bhutum (Hymenodictyon orixensis), Gadila (Careya arborea), and Kusum (Schleichera oleosa) etc. were seemed to be rare in MNP.

서해안 문치가자미 삼중망의 망지 재료에 따른 망목선택성 (Mesh selectivity of monofilament and multifilament nylon trammel net for marbled sole(Pleuronectes yokohamae) in the western sea of Korea)

  • A series of field tests to estimate the size selectivity of monofilament and multifilament gill net for marbled sole, Pleuronectes yokohamae, were carried out 12 times with five different mesh sizes (86.6, 101.0, 121.2, 137.7 and 151.5mm) in the western sea of Korea from 2007 to 2009. The master selection curve was estimated by the extended Kitahara's method. The total number of catch species was 23 and that of catch was 1,688 in the field tests. Marbled sole of total catch was 1,150 with 68.1 percent. In the monofilament trammel net, the optimum value of total length (TL) per mesh size (m) for 1.0 of retention probability was estimated 0.280 and the values of TL/m were estimated to be 0.187, 0.201, 0.210, 0.218 and 0.226 when the retention probability were 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5, respectively. In the multifilament trammel net, the optimum value of TL/m for 1.0 of retention probability was estimated 0.307 and the values of TL/m were estimated to be 0.195, 0.211, 0.222, 0.232 and 0.241 when the retention probability were 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5, respectively.

Human Kallikrein-2, Prostate Specific Antigen and Free-Prostate Specific Antigen in Combination to Discriminate Prostate Cancer from Benign Diseases in Syrian Patients

  • Background: The high incidence of prostate cancer as the most common malignancy in males in many countries raises the question of developing reliable detection tests. The prostate specific antigen (PSA) test is the most widely used for screening for prostate cancer; however, its low specificity elevates the number of unnecessarily biopsies. Serum human kallikrein-2 (hK2) is considered as a promising marker, and especially its ratio to fPSA, for predicting the presence of malignancy to select the best choice referring to biopsy or surveillance. In this study, we investigated the role of hK2 and its combinations with other markers to discriminate prostate cancer from benign diseases in Syrian patients. Materials and Methods: In this prospective oriented cross-sectional cohort study, serum samples were collected from patients referred to many Hospitals in Damascus, Syria, between May 2011 and March 2012, and diagnosed with biopsy proven benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer (PCa). Serum was analyzed for hK2, PSA and fPSA, and the ratios of fPSA/PSA and hK2/fPSA were calculated. Results: We found that mean hK2/fPSA ratios were significantly higher (P=0.01) in prostate cancer patients than in the BPH or control groups. Also the ratio hk2/fPSA gave the largest area under the curve (AUC:0.96) which was significantly larger than for fPSA/PSA (AUC:0.41) indicative of higher specificity. Conclusions: Our results demonstrate that the ratio of hK2/fPSA might be superior to the use of fPSA/PSA alone. The hK2 could be shown to enhance the early detection of prostate cancer; especially the ratio hK2/fPSA improves specificity and hence may reduce the number of negative biopsies.

차세대 원전 대형 압력용기용 고강도 SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Cr-Mo계 저합금강 개발 (High Strength SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Cr-Mo Low Alloy Steels for Larger Pressure Vessels of the Advanced Nuclear Power Plant)

  • There is a growing need to introduce advanced pressure vessel steels with higher strength and toughness for the optimizatiooCn of the design and construction of longer life and larger capacity nuclear power plants. SA508 Gr.4N Ni-Cr-Mo low alloy steels have superior strength and fracture toughness, compared to SA508 Gr.3 Mn-Mo-Ni low alloy steel. Therefore, the application of SA508 Gr.4N low alloy steel could be considered to satisfy the strength and toughness required in advanced nuclear power plants. The purpose of this study is to characterize the microstructure and mechanical properties of SA508 Gr.4N low alloy steels. 1 ton ingot of SA508 Gr.4N model alloy was fabricated by vacuum induction melting followed by forging, quenching, and tempering. The predominant microstructure of the SA508 Gr.4N model alloy is tempered martensite having small packet and fine Cr-rich carbides. The yield strength at room temperature was 540MPa, and it was decreased with an increase of test temperature while DSA phenomenon occurred at around $288^{\circ}C$. Overall transition property of SA508 Gr.4N model alloy was much better than SA508 Gr.3 low alloy steel. The index temperature, $T_{41J}$, of SA508 Gr.4N model alloy was $-132^{\circ}C$ in Charpy impact tests, and reference nil-ductility transition temperature, $RT_{NDT}$ of $-105^{\circ}C$ was obtained from drop weight tests. From the fracture toughness tests performed in accordance with the ASTM standard E1921 Master curve method, the reference temperature, $T_0$ was $-147^{\circ}C$, which was improved more than $60^{\circ}C$ compared to SA508 Gr.3 low alloy steels.

이축하중을 받는 십자형 시편의 파괴인성 및 구속효과 평가 (Evaluation of Fracture Toughness and Constraint Effect of Cruciform Specimen under Biaxial Loading)

  • Current guidance considers that uniaxially loaded specimen with a deep crack is used for the determination of the ductile-to-brittle transition temperature. However, reactor pressure vessel is under biaxial loading in real and the existence of deep crack is not probable through periodic in-service-inspection. The elastic stress intensity factor and the elastic-plastic J-integral which were used for crack-tip stress field and fracture mechanics assessment parameters. The difference of the loading condition and crack geometry can significantly influence on these parameters. Thus, a constraint effect caused by differences between standard specimens and a real structure can over/underestimate the fracture toughness, and it affects the results of the structural integrity assessment, consequentially. The present paper investigates the constraint effects by evaluating the master curve $T_0$ reference temperature of PCVN (Pre-cracked Charpy V-Notch) and small scale cruciform specimens which was designed to simulate biaxial loading condition with shallow crack through the fracture toughness tests and 3-dimensional elastic-plastic finite element analyses. Based on the finite element analysis results, the fracture toughness values of a small scale cruciform specimen were estimated, and the geometry-dependent factors of the cruciform specimen considered in the present study were determined. Finally, the transferability of the test results of these specimens was discussed.

표면 전극용 기능적 전기자극 시스템의 개발 및 하반신 마비환자의 보행 (Development of a Transcutaneous FES System and Its Application to Paraplegic Walking)

  • 본 연구에서는 표면 전극을 사용하는 8채널 전기자극 시스템을 개발하였고. 이 시스템을 이용하여 하반신 마비한자의 근력강화를 위한 전기자극 엑서사이즈와 FES 보행을 하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 전기자극 시스템은 컴퓨터 프로그램, 전기자극기, 그리고 컴퓨터 프로그램과 전기자극기를 연결하는 통신부분으로 구성되어 있다. 컴퓨터 프로그램에서는 마우스를 이용하여 임의의 자극 패턴을 손쉽게 구성하고 편집학 수 있으며 이렇게 구성/편집된 자극 패턴은 동원곡선(recruitment curve)을 통하여 자극 파라미터로 변환된다. 자극 파라미터는 직렬통신을 이용하여 전기자극기에 전달된다. 전기자극기는 주제어부에 1개, 각 채널에 1개씩 총 9개의 마이크로프로세서로 구성되어 있다. 주제어부의 마이크로프로세서가 컴퓨터 프로그램과 통신을 하고 각 채널의 마이크로프로세서를 제어한다. 본 연구에서 개발한 기능적 전기자극 시스템으로 하반신 마비환자에게 100주 동안 전기자극 엑서사이즈를 실시한 결과 근력, 다리둘레, 그리고 피로저항성의 증가를 볼 수 있었다. 전기자극 엑서사이즈로 무릎신근(knee extensor muscle)이 체중을 지지한 수 있을 정도로 증가한 후에 FES 보행을 시작하였고, 현재 2분 동안 50m 이상 보행할 수 있다.

Ni-Mo-Cr계 저합금강의 천이온도영역에서의 파괴인성에 미치는 Ni 및 Cr 함량의 영향 (Effects of Ni and Cr Contents on the Fracture Toughness of Ni-Mo-Cr Low Alloy Steels in the Transition Temperature Region)

  • Materials used for a reactor pressure vessel(RPV) are required high strength and toughness, which determine the safety margin and life of a reactor. Ni-Mo-Cr low alloy steel shows better mechanical properties than existing RPV steels due to higher Ni and Cr contents compared to the existing RPV steels. The present study focuses on effects of Ni, Cr contents on the cleavage fracture toughness of Ni-Mo-Cr low alloy steels in the transition temperature region. The fracture toughness was characterized by a 3-point bend test of precracked Charpy V-notch(PCVN) specimens based on ASTM E1921-08. The test results indicated that the fracture toughness was considerably improved with an increase of Ni and Cr contents. Especially, control of Cr content was more effective in improving fracture toughness than manipulating Ni content, though Charpy impact toughness was changed more extensively by adjusting Ni content. These differences between changes in the fracture toughness and that in the impact toughness were derived from microstructural features, such as martensite lath size and carbide precipitation behavior.

GIS와 NRCS방법을 이용한 호우형태에 따른 빈도별 유출 분석 (Frequency Runoff Analysis by Storm Type using GIS and NRCS Method)

  • 강우-유출과정은 시간적, 공간적 다변성을 지닌 수문학적 인자에 좌우되기 때문에 수문모의를 위해서는 많은 매개변수와 다양한 정보들이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 지형자료를 활용하기 위한 GIS 기법과 유출분석을 위한 NRCS(Natural Resources Conservation Service) 방법을 이용하여 빈도별 유출양상을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. FARD 2002 프로그램을 이용하여 확률강우량을 분석하였으며, 대상유역인 보청천 산성유역에 대한 확률강우량은 Log-Pearson Type III가 가장 적합한 분포형으로 나타났다. 유역의 지형학적 특성을 규명하기 위한 DEM 자료의 분석은 TOPAZ 프로그램을 이용하였다. 유역 내 유효우량 산정을 위해 토지이용도와 토양도를 이용하여 NRCS curve number를 산정하였다. NRCS 방법의 적용을 위한 호우형태는 Type II와 Type III를 적용하였다. 적용 결과, 재현기간이 80년 빈도 이상인 호우에 대해서는 Type II, Type III에 상관없이 비슷한 양상으로 나타났다. 또한 대상유역의 하천정비기본계획보고서에서 제시한 빈도별 홍수량과 비교한 결과 재현기간 80년과 100년 빈도 홍수량에 대하여 상대오차가 각각 7.65%와 5.33%로서 비슷한 유출량을 나타내었다.

Al 7075 합금의 크리이프 파단수명에 관한 연구(II) (A Study on the Creep Fracture Life of Al 7075 Alloy(II))

  • High temperature tensiles tests, steady state creep tests, internal stress tests and creep rupture tests using Al 7075 alloy were performed over the temperature range of 9$0^{\circ}C$~50$0^{\circ}C$ and stress range of 0.64~17.2(kgf/$\textrm{mm}^2$) in order to investigate the creep behavior and predict creep rupture life From the apparent activation energy Qc and the applied stress exponent n measured, at the temperature range of 9$0^{\circ}C$~l2$0^{\circ}C$, the creep deformation seemed to be controlled by cross slip. On the other hand at the temperature of 20$0^{\circ}C$~23$0^{\circ}C$ the creep deformation seemed to be controlled by dislocation climb but at 47$0^{\circ}C$~50$0^{\circ}C$, by diffusion creep. And the rupture life(t$_{f}$) might be represented by anthermal process attributed to the difference of the applied stress dependence of Internal stress and the ratio of the Internal stress to the applied stress, the thermal activated process attributied to the temperature dependence of the internal stress. Also the ratio between stress dependence of primary creep rate and that of minimum creep rate was measured 0.46, the minimum creep rate is expected to be appromately obtained from master creep curve including the relationship primary creep rate and minumum creep rate. Finally the relationship new rupture parameter and logarithmic stress was represented with including the ratio between the dependence of primary creep rate and that of minimum creep rate, using the new rupture parameter the rupture life predition is exactly expected.d.
