공군 정비파카의 기능성 개선을 위한 실태조사 (An Empirical Study on Air Force Mechanic Parka to Improve the Functionality)

  • This study is designed to understand current wearing conditions of air force mechanic parkas and evaluate their functionality by examining the wearing conditions and wearers' subjective assessment. By doing so, it also intends to identify issues that require improvements; and to provide basic data for future development of air force mechanic parkas. A survey was conducted as a study methodology, and the collected 1,628 questionnaires were analyzed. Findings of this study are as follows. 1. In the usability assessment, it was found that visibility of body sides was needed to be enhanced since reflective tapes were attached only to the front and back of the body; pockets were too big, but not convenient to keep mechanic tools; the design of hiding hood was not suitable for water-proof clothing; and a new design of size-controllable hood was called for since the hood blocked eye sight. With respect to the fabric, dissatisfaction was identified with durability, cold-proof and fire-proof features. 2. In the mobility assessment, respondents showed low satisfaction with collar heights and neck girths. Mobility score was over moderate level on average, except the parka length that obstructs wearers' movement, and neck and collar size. 3. In the wearability assessment, respondents presented moderate satisfaction with pleasantness, weight, pressure and dampness. However, insulation was found unsatisfactory. Based on the result, this study proposed improvement plans on design, pattern and fabric; and is expected to serve as basic data for developing more effective and functional air force mechanic parkas.

VaRTM 공법을 이용한 자동차용 엔진후드 개발 (Properties of CFRP by VaRTM process and its application to automobile engine hood)

  • The using of composite material is an aviation field but it changes into a general industry. Especially composites are expanding the use on transportation vehicles like automobiles, ships, and aircrafts. The main factor of this expansion is high specific strength. It can supply a high quality and efficiency of energy. But manufacturing of composite products requires many raw materials and tooling cost for special process, so we needs a reduction of these costs to achieve best efficiency. In the present study, we contrast the change of mechanical and physical properties between VaRTM(Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding) and hand lay-up process. VaRTM process can offer a high quality the same as autoclave products, and low cost like hand lay-up process. In the results of mechanical tests, VaRTM specimen is stronger than hand lay-up specimen and hand lay-up specimen became delamination. In the results of physical tests, the resin content of VaRTM specimen is lower than hand lay-up specimen. On micrograph, the strength of specimen by VaRTM between fiber and resin is stronger than that of one by hand lay-up. And the specimen by hand lay-up contains more defects than one by VaRTM. So, VaRTM process can practically apply for automobile engine hood. This paper shows that VaRTM process is one of the most suitable processes for composite parts of automobile.

경남지역 학교 급식조리실 개선 전후 환기성능 평가 (Evaluation of Ventilation Effectiveness Before and After Kitchen Renovation in Schools of Gyeongsangnam-do)

  • Objectives: Many cases of lung cancer have been reported by school kitchen workers as occupational cancer. Twenty-eight schools in Gyeongsangnam-do Province were selected to evaluate the effect of improved kitchen ventilation systems. Ventilation characteristics before and after renovation were compared and design techniques were identified. Methods: In the design stage for kitchen ventilation systems, expert intervention was used to improve the designs. Ventilation characteristics and air quality were evaluated before and after the renovations. Hood face velocity and fan flow rate were measured and the smoke visualization technique was used to evaluate the capability of protecting worker's breathing zone. The concentrations of PM0.3 were measured at points not adjacent to cooking equipment because these concentrations fluctuate greatly. Results: Mean hood face velocity increased from 0.29 m/s before renovation to 0.7m/s after renovation. The concentrations of PM0.3 showed a roughly 95% reduction. Concentrations of CO showed more than a 75% reduction. Smoke visualization showed greater protection of workers' breathing zone. Conclusions: Advanced design techniques for school kitchen ventilation systems were applied to renovate old kitchen ventilation systems. The performance of the new kitchen ventilation systems was nearly excellent. Further improvement of design techniques is still needed, however.

멀티미디어교육과정에서 나타난 예비유아교사의 인식 변화 연구 (Study on Process of Changes of Thinking and Experience Through Early Childhood Multimedia Education)

  • 본 연구는 유아멀티미디어 교육에 참여한 예비유아교사들의 경험과 사고를 이해하기 위하여 유아멀티미디어 교육과정에서 나타난 변화과정에 대해서 분석하였다. 2012년 8월 27일부터 11월 26일까지 총 14주 동안 7차에 걸쳐 예비유아교사의 반성적 저널쓰기, 소그룹 토의를 실시하였다. 연구 자료를 바탕으로 영역분석과 주제 분석을 실시한 결과 첫째, 예비유아교사들은 멀티미디어 교육을 통해 기존의 멀티미디어에 대한 안목과 인식의 변화를 경험하였다. 둘째, 예비유아교사들은 유아에게 멀티미디어를 제공하는 것에 대해 유아들이 교육현장 이외의 곳에서 많은 멀티미디어를 접할 것이라는 것에 동의하며 피할 수 없는 것이라고 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 예비유아교사들은 멀티미디어 교육과 관련된 수업에 관하여 멀티미디어와 유아교육을 연결시키지 못하였으며 교육적으로 사용하는 것에 대한 부담을 가지고 있었다. 넷째, 예비유아교사들은 유아 멀티미디어 교육에 관한 수업을 받으면서 멀티미디어에 대한 부정적인 생각들이 긍정적으로 바뀌는 것을 경험하면서 멀티미디어에 대한 구체적인 교육을 요구하고 있었다.

중.소규모 사업장의 국소배기장치 설치 실태와 문제점 및 개선방안 (Additional Improvement and Evaluation of Exhaust Ventilation Systems at Small and Medium Sized Enterprise)

  • Objectives : The purposes of this study were to evaluate exhaust ventilation systems(EVSs) and to suggest problems and improvements. Methods : For 50 small and medium-sized enterprises, we carried out evaluation of EVSs. We evaluated hoods with smoke tester and measurement of capture velocity. In addition, we used several indicators for performance evaluation designed in this study. Results : 1. Based on the smoke flow pattern and the criteria of occupational health and safety act, 67.8% of hoods were rated 'good' level at smoke test whereas 26.3% were rated 'good' level at measurement of capture velocity. 2. 29.3% of hoods, of which ratio of measured actual air flow at hood(Qah) to required ideal exhaust air flow at hood(Qih) was 1 or more, were rated 'good' level. 3. The % of EVS, of which ratio of measured actual air flow at stack(Qast) to total required ideal exhaust air flow at hood(Qith) was 1 or more, was 29.0%. 4. For the ratio of measured Qast to existing air flow at fan(Qfan), only 5% of EVSs were 1 or more and 26.0% were 0.8 or more but less than 1.0. 5. For the ratio of measured Qast to total measured actual exhaust air flow at hood(Qath), 74.0% were 0.8 or more but less than 1.0. 6. The percentage of EVS, of which ratio of total measured Qath to existing Qfan was 0.8 or more, was 19.0%. 7. The percentage of EVS, of which ratio of total measured Qath to total required ideal exhaust Qith was 1 or more, was 26.0%. 8. For the comprehensive evaluation indicators designed in this study, 29.0% were 0.8 or more. Conclusions : We found that few exhaust local ventilations at small and medium-sized enterprises were rated 'good' level and that most exhaust local ventilations had 'poor' design and installation. Therefore, relevant professional manpower and enterprises have to construct exhaust local ventilation where it is needed, and technical guidance and economic support are needed to improve 'poor' exhaust local ventilation after self-evaluation.

과열에 의해 발화된 동물성 식품의 화염 및 탄화 패턴에 관한 연구 (Flame and Carbonization Patterns of Animal-Origin Foods Ignited by Overheating)

  • 과열방지장치가 없는 가스레인지를 이용하여 동물성 식품의 실물 화재 실험을 실시하였다. 동물성 식품의 연소 초기에는 흰색의 연기와 수증기가 다량 발생했으나 물기가 없어지고 동물성 식품의 탄화가 시작되면 검정색 연기가 발생하였다. 가스레인지의 과열 시간이 5,400 s가 경과되어도 고등어, 명태 및 닭고기 등은 착화되지 못했다. 그러나 돼지고기는 2,643 s, 쇠고기는 2,819 s, 참치는 6,492 s에서 발화되는 것을 확인하였다. 동물성 식품의 화염 패턴은 층류와 난류가 혼합된 형태이며, 달무리 패턴(Halo Pattern)이 발생하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 주방 후드가 작동할 때의 화염은 모래시계 패턴을 형성하였고, 주방 후드가 작동하지 않을 때는 삼각형 패턴을 나타냈다. 냄비에 담긴 참치가 과열되면 6,492 s에 자연발화 되었고, 주방 후드의 표면 온도는 464.5 ℃로 급격히 상승하였다. 그리고 냄비 상부의 바깥 표면으로부터 6 cm 이격된 냄비 후면의 온도는 6,660 s에 복사열로 인해 869 ℃로 측정되었다. 화염에 의해 소손된 주방 벽면에는 모래시계 패턴이 형성되었으며, 주방 후드가 작동하지 않거나 천장 높이보다 화염이 작게 성장할 때는 삼각형 패턴을 나타내는 것이 확인되었다.

의료용 전동공기청정호흡기(PAPR)용 항균성 후드 및 필터 개발 (Development of Antibacterial Hood and Filter for Medical Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR))

  • 본 연구는 지카바이러스, 메르스, coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) 등의 감염병 방역 및 의료현장에서 사용할 수 있는 의료용 공기정화호흡기(powered air purifying respirators, PAPR)의 항균성 보호복의 후드와 필터를 개발하였다. PAPR은 전동팬 본체 및 필터, 배터리팩, 후드로 구성되며 보호복의 후드 소재는 뛰어난 흡습성, 풍압, 외부충격을 견딜 수 있는 폴리프로필렌 슐폰레이스(spunlace) 부직포 직물(SFS)을 사용하였다. 사용자의 감염위험을 낮추기 위해 후드의 외피에는 피톤치드계 물질을 사용하여 99.9%의 안티-박테리얼(antibacterial) 효과를 얻었으며 내피에는 친수가공을 하여 흡수성을 25% 향상시켰다. 의료용 보호복 후드에 필요한 인공혈액 침투저항성, 건조미생물 침투저항성, 습식세균 침투저항성, 그리고 박테리오파아지 침투저항성을 평가한 결과 2~6 단계의 합격평가를 받았다. 한편, 항균 처리된 슐폰레이스(spunlace filter, SF) 헤파 필터(high efficiency particulate air, HEPA)의 성능을 평가한 결과 우수한 항균성, 분진제거율, 차압 효과를 확인하였다.
