  • Objective : This study's purpose was to review the Daeseunggi-tang as the typical purgative. Method : We searched papers about Daeseunggi-tang about the gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by constipation, surgery and MODS. In total, 31 papers were analyzed in this study. Results : In matter of subject, researches on the gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by constipation were 16 cases, researches on the gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by surgery were 8 cases, researches on gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by MODS were 7 cases. Conclusion : In conclusion, the traditional use of Daeseunggi-tang on constipation, frequent flatus, and stomachache has proven to have sufficient evidences through the experimental and clinical evidences.

  • In a fuzzy connectionist expert system(FCES), the knowledge base can be constructed of neural logic networks to represent fuzzy rules and their relationship, We call it fuzzy rule inference network. To find out the belief value of a conclusion, the traditional inference strategy in a FCES will back-propagate from a rule term of the conclusion and follow through the entire network sequentially This sequential search strategy is very inefficient. In this paper, to improve the above search strategy, we proposed fuzzy rule inference rule used in a FCES was modified. The proposed adaptive search strategy in fuzzy rule inference network searches the network according to the search priorities.

  • Objective : The application of Sam So Eum (蔘蘇飮, SSE) as a herbal medicine to treat asthma in mice has been studied and the mechanism of cytokine production in asthmatic mice was discussed. Recently, SSE was known to have anti-allergic activity. However, its therapeutic mechanisms are unclear. Methods : So, we investigated the effects of SSE on levels of several cytokines in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) using flow cytometric analysis in allergen-induced asthma. Results : In this experiment, SSE decreased levels of IL-la, IL-17 and GM-CSF respectively. Contrary, SSE restored level of IFN-g toward naive level in BALF. Conclusion : In conclusion, we demonstrate that SSE is useful to treat asthma and it's therapeutic mechanisms are involved in Thl skewing reaction.

  • Purpose: This research is to promote an walking exercise program for the subjects to continue exercise by mitigating stresses with increase in increase their physiological index. Methods: The research design was a non-equivalent control group, quasiexperimental study. The research has been executed from August 1st to September 30th 2008 by operating walking exercise program to 50 subjects. Only 24 patients who continued this program to the last were could be investigated. Results: Among the subjects who participated in the program had shown significant differences in weight and BMI. Despite of an insignificant change in skeletal muscle mass, fat mass, body fat ratio and WHR, average value for skeletal muscle mass showed an increasing tendency, while the average values for fat mass, body fat ratio and WHR showed a decreasing tendency. Conclusion: In conclusion, walking exercise program was design for the subjects to be able to exercise without an extra cost for a special tool to exercise with an positive effect on increasing health problem.

  • Purpose: The author performed experiments on the microhardness and the marginal fitness of composite resins after polymerizing 4 kinds of composite resins on MOD standard specimens. Methods: For this study, in order to compare the microhardness and the marginal fitness of 4 kinds of composite resins. Results: The results are as follows. 1. In case of the microhardness, Tescera scored the highest among the four kinds of composite resins. 2. In case of the marginal fitness, Premise Indirect scored the highest. However, there was no statistically significant difference, all staying in clinically practical range. 3. Considering the above results, among the four kinds of composite resins, the author advises to use Tescera during teeth restoration which scored the highest in the micro- hardness. Conclusion: Conclusion: All of the composite marginal fitness were within the clinically useful range.

Also, tarag is cleary defined as a fermented milk product in most of east Asian medical texts. When it comes to tarag-juk described in Korean medical texts, however, there is no definite distinction between milk porridge and tarag-juk. This paper is aimed at finding out whether tarag was merely meaning milk in Joseon. Method : Historical documents of related historical stage, Tibetan and East Asian medical texts, and some cookbooks are mainly consulted, as well as other sources that contains the perception of tarag in Korean history. Result : Tarag is documented as fermented milk in the medical texts of herbs, while tarag-juk is defined as milk porridge in some medical texts in Korea. In one of the Mongolian-Korean dictionary of 18C, milk tea is explained as tarag tea. Conclusion : Although there is not much evidence to back up this conclusion with satisfaction, it would not be to much to say that conception of tarag met some changes from yogurt to boiled milk during Joseon dynasty.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify nursing interventions performed by public health nurses in health centers. Method: Data was collected by the taxonomy of Nursing Intervention Classification(NIC 3rd: 486 nursing interventions) from 131 public health nurses in health centers and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Result: As its result, more than 50% of public health nurses performed 137 nursing interventions at least monthly. The most frequently used intervention class was 'activity and exercise management', followed by 'physical comfort promotion', 'community health promotion', 'life span care', 'coping assistance', 'Self care facilitation', 'information management', 'nutrition support', 'community risk management' and 'patient education'. One hundred twenty nursing interventions were rarely performed by 90% or more of the nurses. Most of them were the physical complex domain. Conclusion: In conclusion, 137 interventions were performed by public health nurses at least monthly. NIC is helpful to build a standardized language for public health nursing.

  • Purpose: Even though the breast is not removed, women with a breast conservative operation(BCO) are suffering from the psychosocial distress comparable with mastectomies. The purpose of this study was to identify how clinical nurses view essential nursing problems and nursing approaches to post operative breast cancer experiences. Method: To identify the clinical nurses's interpretation, they were asked to respond to a case involving a woman struggling with breast cancer. The nurses' responses were analyzed using a manifest content analysis strategy to determine themes in problem identification and nursing care strategies. Result: The clinical nurses recognized that most of the patient's experiences originated from a psycho-social problem. Fifteen nurses(83%) interpreted the breast cancer woman's experience derived from her psychosocial problem. They identified the most effective nursing approaches for breast cancer women following surgery as counseling and providing information. Conclusion: In conclusion, the results revealed that a psychosocial skill including an empathic communication skill is essential for excellent nursing in post operative patient care.

  • Main concern will be put at suggesting an alternative idea about the basic notion of the Extended Projection Principle (henceforth, ECP) which has been slightly changed since the initial appearance of the EPP. The EPP had been dependent on Case and theta-role under the era of the early generative grammar, whereas it was reduced only to the categorial feature [D] under the minimalism. Various data such as Locative Inversion constructions, there-expletive constructions, and sentences related to binding theory will be dealt with to suggest an plausible alternative idea. As a conclusion, it will be attested that the SPEC position of the inflectional clause should be filled with a maximally projected lexical item. This conclusion will be reached by analyzing lots of linguistic data.
