  • In this paper we are to explain the development of circuit breaker characteristic tester for 25.8kV Gas Insulated Switchgear. Because of hermetically sealed cubicle, we have the difficulties of installation and usage of tester. Therefore we developed measuring tester and software. This tester can measure CB close/trip time, coil current, stroke, chattering time. And it has CB positive/ negative discrimination program, trend management program, DB management program.

Database Modeling and Environmental Information for a Radioactive Waste Repository Site

  • For the safe management of nuclear facilities, including a radioactive waste repository, data about the facility site and the surrounding environment must be collected and managed systematically. This is particularly true for a radwaste repository, which has to be institutionally controlled for a long period after closure. The objectives of this study are (1) to establish a systematical management plan for information about a radwaste repository site and its environment, and (2) to design a database management program for this information, based on the Relative Database Management System (RDBMS). The spatial data are designed by the geodatabase, which is a new object, based on the RDBMS, to manage spatial information related to the database. To meet this requirement, a new program called 'Site Information and Total Environmental data management System (SITES)' is being developed. The scope that produced from the first step of the present study for development of the SITES is introduced. The database is designed to combine spatial and attribute data, and is designed for the establishment of the Geographic Information System (GIS). The hardware and software systems are designed with consideration given to the total data management of the items within the radioactive environment.

  • Recently, spatial data integration for geoscientific application has been regarded as an important task of various geoscientific applications of GIS. Although much research has been reported in the literature, quantitative assessment of the spatial interrelationship between input data layers and an integrated layer has not been considered fully and is in the development stage. Regarding this matter, we propose here, methodologies that account for the spatial interrelationship and spatial patterns in the spatial integration task, namely a multi-buffer zone analysis and a statistical analysis based on a contingency table. The main part of our work, the multi-buffer zone analysis, was addressed and applied to reveal the spatial pattern around geological source primitives and statistical analysis was performed to extract information for the assessment of an integrated layer. Mineral potential mapping using multi-source geoscience data sets from Ogdong in Korea was applied to illustrate application of this methodology.

  • 이 논문은 시공간 데이터의 통합된 연산을 위하여 공간 연산자와 시간 연산자의 경합 접속을 연구한다. 시공간 연산을 위한 통합 연구는 시공간 참조 메크로에 의한 시공간 위상관계 연산자의공통 사용을 의미한다. 또한 이 논문은 지형 객체의 이력 정보를 검색하는 이력 연산자와 시간관계 비교 연산자의 통합 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 확장 알고리즘은 기존의 GIS(Geographic Information System) 공간 데이터베이스를 기반으로 구현되며, 아울러 시공간 질의표현의 예를 통해 평가된다. 여기서 연구된 시공간 연산자의 통합은 통일된 시공간 질의를 지원하는데 유용한 기반구조를 제공할 것이다.

심해저 광물자원 탐사자료의 데이터베이스 구축연구 (A Study on Database System for Deep-sea Mineral Exploration)

  • In order to utilize the data obtained during the deep-sea resources exploration program, the analysis of data structure and database were conducted to develop an appropriate data operating system called Deep-sea Database System. The Relation Data Base Management System, RDBMS, was chosen as a data managing system and the MS Access$^{TM}$ as a DB engine, and the MapInfo$^{TM}$ software as GIS tools. Problems in networking and security were detected and solved during the operation test. Accordingly, development of standardized operative procedure was proposed in obtaining raw data. This proposal will also be reflected in the subsequent phase of the deep-sea program. The Deep-sea Database System could be applied to the selection of potential mining sites and the estimation of economical efficiency over th KODOS (Korea Deep Ocean Study) region. It is also expected that this system might improve the efficiency of detail survey and help in the relinquishment process as a fulfillment of the obligation as a pioneer investor.

Development of an Emissions Processing System for Climate Scenario Inventories to Support Global and Asian Air Quality Modeling Studies

  • Climate change is an important issue, with many researches examining not only future climatic conditions, but also the interaction of climate and air quality. In this study, a new version of the emissions processing software tool - Python-based PRocessing Operator for Climate and Emission Scenarios (PROCES) - was developed to support climate and atmospheric chemistry modeling studies. PROCES was designed to cover global and regional scale modeling domains, which correspond to GEOS-Chem and CMAQ/CAMx models, respectively. This tool comprises of one main system and two units of external software. One of the external software units for this processing system was developed using the GIS commercial program, which was used to create spatial allocation profiles as an auxiliary database. The SMOKE-Asia emissions modeling system was linked to the main system as an external software, to create model-ready emissions for regional scale air quality modeling. The main system was coded in Python version 2.7, which includes several functions allowing general emissions processing steps, such as emissions interpolation, spatial allocation and chemical speciation, to create model-ready emissions and auxiliary inputs of SMOKE-Asia, as well as user-friendly functions related to emissions analysis, such as verification and visualization. Due to its flexible software architecture, PROCES can be applied to any pregridded emission data, as well as regional inventories. The application results of our new tool for global and regional (East Asia) scale modeling domain under RCP scenario for the years 1995-2006, 2015-2025, and 2040-2055 was quantitatively in good agreement with the reference data of RCPs.

효율적인 저수지 관리를 위한 정밀 수심측량 및 지층탐사에 관한 연구 (Hydroacoustic Application of Bathymetry and Geological Survey for Efficient Reservoir Management)

  • 본 논문은 효율적인 저수지 수심측량 및 지층탐사를 위하여 음파탐지 기법을 이용한 수심측량과 지층탐사의 활용에 관한 것으로서 음향 측심기 (Echo Sounder) 및 고주파 지층탐사 장비 (Subbottom Profiler)를 이용하여 수원시 원천저수지에 대한 수심측량과 지층탐사를 수행하였다. 연구에 사용된 음향 측심기 및 고주파 지층탐사 장비는 GPS와 연결하여 선박에 설치하고 DGPS 측량 방법을 이용하여 평면위치, 수심 및 지층탐사 데이터를 동시에 취득하였다. 음향 측심기 및 고주파 지층탐사 장비를 통해 취득된 데이터는 GIS 프로그램을 이용하여 다양하게 분석함으로써 저수지의 수심 지형 저수량에 대한 결과와 저수지 침전물의 종류, 양, 두께, 분포 등에 대한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이러한 데이터들과 분석 결과는 향후 저수지, 호수 및 댐 유역에 대한 장기적인 개발 관리계획을 위하여 음파탐지 기법을 이용한 다양한 관측장비를 활용하는데 다양한 정보들을 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

디자인 패턴을 활용한 LBS기반 모바일 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Mobile System based on LBS using Design Pattern)

  • 본 논문은 LBS기반 모바일 시스템 구현을 위하여 GoF의 디자인 패턴을 활용한 효율적인 설계방법을 제안하고자 한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 설계기법은 사용자와 모바일 시스템 관점에서 디자인 패턴의 생성패턴, 구조패턴, 행위패턴을 이용하여 모바일 시스템 인터페이스를 설계하고 구현한다. 디자인 패턴을 활용한 설계 방법은 소프트웨어 개발에 있어서 모듈 및 소프트웨어 재사용성 증가, 개발시간을 단축, 유지보수 최소화, 시스템의 메모리 절감 효율성을 보여준다. 따라서 본 논문은 모바일 환경에서 지리정보시스템을 접목한 미들웨어를 개선하기 위해 디자인 패턴을 활용하였다. 본 논문은 모바일 시스템에 디자인 패턴을 적용하여 높은 안정성과 신뢰성을 보여주고, 모듈 및 소프트웨어의 재사용과 확장성을 높이며 효율적인 시스템을 개발하는데 기여할 것이다.

Development of Water Quality Modeling in the United States

  • The modern era of water quality modeling in the United States began in the 1960s. Pushed by advances in computer technology as well as environmental sciences, water quality modeling evolved through five broad periods: (1) initial model development with mainframe computers (1960s - mid 1970s), (2) model refinement and generalization with minicomputers (mid 1970s - mid 1980s), (3) model standardization and support with microcomputers (mid 1980s - mid 1990s), (4) better model access and performance with faster desktop computers running Windows and local area networks linked to the Internet (mid 1990s - early 2000s), and (5) model integration and widespread use of the Internet (early 2000s - present). Improved computer technology continues to drive improvements in water quality models, including more detailed environmental analysis (spatially and temporally), better user interfaces and GIS software, more accessibility to environmental data from on-line repositories, and more robust modeling frameworks linking hydrodynamics, water quality, watershed and atmospheric models. Driven by regulatory needs and advancing technology, water quality modeling will continue to improve to better address more complicated water bodies and pollutant types, and more complicated management questions. This manuscript describes historical trends in water quality model development in the United States, reviews current efforts, and projects promising future directions.

유출·침수모델을 이용한 홍수대응 방재시설 시뮬레이터 설계 및 프로토타입 개발 (Flood Response Disaster Prevention Facility Simulator Design and Prototype Development Using Spill and Inundation Model)

  • 글로벌 기후변화로 국내 이상기후는 증가하고 있으며, 이러한 이상기후로 국지성 집중호우 피해와 규모는 증가하는 추세이다. 침수피해를 예방하기 위해서는 강우예보를 통한 시강우데이터를 통해서 선제적인 침수분석 모의결과를 도출하고 즉각적인 의사결정을 통해 홍수대응 방재시설의 활용과 관리를 통한 예방이 필요하다. 그러나, 현재 XPSWMM, GATE2018과 같은 유출 및 침수모델을 이용하는 방법은 전문적인 사용능력과 복잡한 분석절차로 사용에 대한 한계성이 존재한다. CBD 소프트웨어 개발방식을 이용 강우량(단기, 장기) 등의 산정을 통해 홍수대응 방재시설 시뮬레이터 프로토타입 개발하며, 관리자 및 사용자 중심의 인터페이스를 구성하고 GIS데이터 및 가시적 데이터(그래프, 차트 등)를 제공하여 즉각적이고 선제적인 국지성 집중호우 침수대응을 위한 의사결정 및 기초데이터 사용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.
