In order to monitor the anticancer drug in stable conditions, the Web based anticancer drug management system and alarm services were constructed and assessed in this study. Anticancer drug should be exact to the correct patient in the right environment. To overcome the restriction of existing equipment that only monitors fragmentarily, temperature and humidity were continuously monitored to maintain stable environments using sensor networks and RFID for the monitoring and management of anticancer drug. Construction drug identification and the effect of normal air outside the anticancer dispensary with obstacles were evaluated in working hour. Pre-installed control system in the dispensary could be alternated with auto sensing and alarming. We expected that the efficiency of anticancer drug management and the reliability of drug medication by handwork would be increase accordingly.

Nowadays the diversity and large-capacity of electric appliances are strong effect on electrical fires augment in an alarming way. But, as the inactive response characteristics of the existing RCD (Residual Current protective Device) used on low voltage power distribution lines, so control of overload and electric short circuit faults, major causes of electrical fires, are not enough. Therefore this paper is confirmed the unreliability of the existing RCD by electrical faults simulation and is proposed a auxiliary trip device of RCD by using a high precision current sensor (namely, reed switch) for the prevention of electrical disasters in low voltage power distribution lines caused by overload or electric short circuit faults. The sensitive reed switch in the proposed ATD (auxiliary trip device) exactly detects the increased magnetic flux with the overload or the short current caused by a number of electrical faults, and then rapidly cuts off the existing RCD. The proposed auxiliary trip device of RCD is confirmed the excellent characteristics in response velocity and accuracy in comparison with the conventional circuit breaker through various operation performance analysis. The proposed ATD can also prevent electrical disaster, like as electrical fires, which resulted from the malfunction and inactive response characteristics of the existing RCD.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination has gained wide and increasing acceptance around the world as a straightforward undertaking to alleviate the alarming water crisis. An enhanced monitoring of the quality of the water feeding in seawater RO (SWRO) plant through the application of an effective pretreatment option is one of the keys to the success of RO technology in desalination plants. Over the past 10 years, advances in ultrafiltration (UF) membrane technologies in application for water and wastewater treatment have prompted an impetus for using membrane pretreatment in seawater desalination plants. By integrating SWRO plant with UF pretreatment, the rate of membrane fouling can be significantly reduced and thus extend the life of RO membrane. With the growing importance and significant advances attained in UF pretreatment, this review presents an overview of UF pretreatment in SWRO plants. The advantages offered by UF as an alternative of pretreatment option are compared to the existing conventionally used technologies. The current progress made in the integration of SWRO with UF pretreatment is also highlighted. Finally, the recent advances pursued in UF technology is reviewed in order to provide an insight and hence path the way for the future development of this technology.
Industrialization and urbanization are modern need and trends. Such trends affect the natural ecosystem of rivers. Indian rivers face such problems in a high ratio. The aim of this study is to investigate the cause and amount of pollution in a tributary river Krishni. Pre-monsoon sampling of Krishni river water was performed as per APHA standard. Water samples were collected from different sites of Krishni river. Physiochemical parameters as well as trace elements concentrations have been analysed and results were compared with BIS-2012, WHO-2017 and EPA-2001 recommendations. The presence of high BOD, COD, TDS and others physiochemical parameters along with heavy metals reveals that tributary is highly polluted owing to industrial and domestic discharge either directly or through drains. High values of these parameters are harmful for the ecological health of the river because it makes survival of aquatic flora and fauna at risk. On the basis of the results obtained by the present study, it was concluded that level of the pollution in river Krishni is at alarming phase, where if strong action for the rejuvenation of river not takes place, river becomes a dead pool.
The prevalence of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) is increasing globally, resulting in high mortality rates. Although CRE is a relatively recent problem in Korea (the first case was not diagnosed until 2010), it is responsible for serious morbidities at an alarming rate. In this study, we carried out a molecular genetic analysis to determine the incidence of CRE and carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) at a general hospital in Korea between August 2017 and August 2019. Forty strains of CPE were isolated from various clinical specimens and analyzed via antimicrobial susceptibility testing, polymerase chain reaction to detect β-lactamase genes, deoxyribonucleic acid sequencing, multilocus sequence typing, curing testing, and conjugal transfer of plasmids. The results demonstrated that all 40 isolates were multidrug-resistant. The fluoroquinolone susceptibility test showed that 75% of the Enterobacteriaceae isolates were resistant to ciprofloxacin, whereas 72.5% were resistant to trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole. Further, conjugation accounted for 57.5% of all resistant plasmid transfer events, which is 4.3-fold higher than that observed in 2010 by Frost et al. Finally, the high detection rate of transposon Tn4401 was associated with the rapid diffusion and evolution of CPE. Our results highlight the rapid emergence of extensively drugresistant strains in Korea and emphasize the need for employing urgent control measures and protocols at the national level.
As a part of the on-going effort to conserve endangered Scrophularia takesimensis Nakai in Korea, its genetic structure and diversity from 3 population, consisted of 14 subpopulations in Ulleung Island were analyzed using RAPD band patterns. Out of 60 primers tested, 33 generated amplified bands with its genome, including 149 polymorphic and 67 monomorphic bands. The highest number (146) was found in northern population, especially, 64 in HY subpopulation; the smallest (40) in eastern population. An examination of its genetic structure with AMOVA revealed that about 60% of all variations could be assigned to among subpopulations within populations. Population differentiation among populations and subpopulations is seriously going now because of habitat fragmentation due to human activities, such as road and small port construction. Although the habitats of S. takesimensis in Ulleung Island, Korea are disappeared at an alarming rate, significant levels of genetic variation still exist at species level, and population level, especially northern population. Therefore, three conservation strategies should be needed urgently; 1) preservation of populations as it stands, 2) establishment of recovery plan to connect population and subpopulations genetically, and 3) long-term monitoring.
A 51 year-old male was admitted with the chief complaints of swallowing difficulty and pain on neck and upper chest for 2 months prior to admission: He was taken biopsy under esophagoscopy, and the result was squamous cell carcinoma. Preoperatively we studied the esophagogram and chest CT. On these, we found the main appreciable mass at midesophagus easily. But, we missed the upper cervical unexpected mass. So we performed the esophagectomy and lymph node dissection from upper clavicle level to the esophagogastric junction by thoracic approach as wide as possible, and cervical esophagostomy and feeding gastrostomy also. At that evening we reviewed the studied films in detail, and we found another mass lesion at C4-C6 level of cervical esophagus. We performed the 2nd operation e.g. cervical esophagectomy on next morning without hesitation. Between these two masses, there was almostly normally looking skip area grossly. The squamous cell carcinoma of the esophagus could be multicentric in character and may have skip area. But, we heard little reports until now. The two masses could be different in origin or be same probably by submucosal spreading. Anyway, it was an alarming case to the surgeon not to neglect the another possible lesions in squamous cell type. Postoperative course was uneventful, he took G-tube feeding with no problems on 7th postoperative day. Now he took the postoperative irradiation at out patient department.

Most New Zealanders reside in coastal regions and four of the larger cities are situated on active floodplains. There have been many recent storm events with rainfall AEPs of 1/150 or rarer and there have been recent flood-related disasters. Insurance claim statistics indicate that the frequency of floods is increasing. Such statistics are alarming local government authorities, insurance companies and populations in low-lying areas. The underlying physical and hydrologic causes of the flood disasters are investigated. It is found that the present numbers of rare rainfall events are not unexpected and there does not appear to be any significant trend evident in the occurrence of river floods. What is revealed is that the river floods appear clustered in certain decades. The clusters do not occur at the same times in different parts of the county. Recently there have been more floods in the north of New Zealand which is where more of the population lives. Also, the increase in population has seen more houses built in locations prone to flooding. Thus the increase in flood-related insurance claims is attributed to more people getting in the way of floods, rather than an increase in the number of floods that have occurred.

A vibration-based damage-monitoring scheme is proposed that would generate an alarm showing the occurrence and location of damage under temperature-induced uncertainty conditions. Experiments on a model plate-girder bridge are described, for which a set of modal parameters was measured under uncertain temperature conditions. A damage-alarming model is formulated to statistically identify the occurrence of damage by recognizing the patterns of damage-driven changes in the natural frequencies of the test structure and by distinguishing temperature-induced off-limits. A damage index method based on the concept of modal strain energy is implemented in the test structure to predict the location of damage. In order to adjust for the temperature-induced changes in the natural frequencies that are used for damage detection, a set of empirical frequency correction formulas is analyzed from the relationship between the temperature and frequency ratio.
Today a new culture called fusion has been forming. And it is spreading at an alarming rate in our society. When people talk about the character of Korean beauty and Korean culture, they speak taking pottery as an example. We can speak that the pottery is a core of culture which represent our people. And I think its pattern can be a good material for fusion. Also, among many Western artists, Mondrian is an unique painter who is to do with our culture. So, in this study, I chose the patterns described in Buncheong pottery and the Mondrian's works for the development of fusion textile design. Patterns expressed on Buncheong pottery are, for the most part, abstract patterns simplified the shape of object. And the Mondrian's works is the geometrical abstract painting be made by vertical and horizon. Using those I intend to develop the fusion textile designs which mixed Oriental culture and Western culture. Also, I intended to simulate them on ties and clothes and present the possibility of culture merchandise development. The reasons for doing so to let other peoples of the world, know about our excellent culture.
