The SBD systems have made it possible that all boarding procedures are completed by passengers. With the SBD, air tickets can be issued and baggage can be consigned without the help of airline officers. This way, the SBD can improve the passenger circulation speed as well as decrease the time for passengers to wait for check-in, which is connected to the reduction of airlines' operaitonal costs. However, given that the SBD is a new technology, it has potentials to be used as a tool for air terrorism. This study purposes to determine methods to enhance the security and operation of SBD systems. With the aim, this paper investigated the existing literature on SBDs, self-check-in, airport security, air terrorism, risk management, aviation accidents, and information security. In order to compile real-time information about the SBD operations, twelve airports in North America, Europe, and Asia were analyzed based on existing studies on international SBD trends.

This study deals with transfer passengers in hub airports. The research objective is to derive measures for transfer passenger quantity enhancement at Incheon International Airport by applying Analytic Hierarchy Process. In pursuing the above objective, this study conducted a survey to evaluate various selection criteria for choosing transfer airports and ranked attributes in weight order with Analytic Hierarchy Process. Furthermore, based on the trend analysis of Incheon International Airport's transfer passenger movement, this paper analysed main transit routes of Incheon International Airports against competitor airports among the region. The main result found from the study is flight frequency, ticket price and connecting hour were the most important 3 factors when people choose transit airports. Therefore, it is recommended government, airport authority and airlines to cooperate closely to meet the transfer passengers' needs on frequency, price and transit hour of flights.

For controlling the vibration of specific building structure with large span, a practical method for the design of MTMD was developed according to the characteristics of structures subjected to wind loads. Based on the model of analyzing wind-induced response of large-span structure with MTMD, the optimization method of multiple tuned mass dampers for large-span roof structures subjected to wind loads was established, in which the applicable requirements for strength and fatigue life of TMD spring were considered. According to the method, the controlled modes and placements of TMDs in MTMD were determined through the quantitative analysis on modal contribution to the wind-induced dynamic response of structure. To explore the characteristics of MTMD, the parametric analysis on the effects of mass ratio, damping ratio, central tuning frequency ratio and frequency range of MTMD, was performed in the study. Then the parameters of MTMD were optimized through genetic algorithm and the optimized MTMD showed good dynamic characteristics. The robustness of the optimized MTMD was also investigated.

The European Union (EU) has introduced the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) as one of the key policies to reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions and in July 2008, they decided to include aviation in the scheme. As soon as the decision was announced the EU ETS was met by sharp opposition from world governments and international aviation. A group of US airlines, in particular, dropped a lawsuit against the British government over aviation's inclusion in the EU ETS. On 21 December, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled that aviation's inclusion in the EU ETS which covers all flights arriving into and departing from the EU is legal and does not contravene international law. The scheme eventually came into effect on 1 January 2012. However, most countries are in opposition to the EU ETS and have agreed on counter-measures to undermine the EU's plan which may bring chaos to the aviation industry if such measures were to put into practice. This study therefore will analyze the likely effects that may be brought to the Korean aviation industry as a result of the inclusion of aviation in the EU ETS. Further, it hopes to contribute to the Korean aviation industry by studying other countries' counter-measures in advance.

Purpose:Travel agencies have use digital tools in order to shift the paradigm in how business is conducted. Online travel agencies provide the same services as a normal travel agency, including hotels, transportation, guided tours, reservations, and related services, but using an "online platform. Travelers planning a trip can use a lot of forms to collect information and have access to a larger amount of information, so the factors that influence the user's behavioral intention are very important. This research has the conducted to find what factors lead to the attitudes of consumers in using OTA using the UTAUT model. Research design, data and methodology: The object of this study were respondents of a google survey using convenient sample extraction method, chosen among consumers who gathered information, or purchased a product. A total of 217 of the 235 questionnaires Google survey answered were used in the final analysis, excluding insincere responses. Using PSS v.21 and AMOS v.21, frequency analysis, feasibility and reliability analysis, path analysis was performed. Results: UTAUT affects OTA use satisfaction and trust, and OTA satisfaction and trust affect behavior intention. Conclusions: Research was conducted using the UTAUT model to explore factors that affect the attitudes of users of online travel agencies (OTA).

During flight the analysis of aircraft data recorded has played an important role in determining the causes of accidents. However, using the QAR, recently some airlines have begun to analyze flight data from uneventful airline flights to identify potential problems and correct them before they lead to accident. This paper, after the flight using the recorded data in QAR, proposes an estimated method which determines CL/CD values. The generalized aircraft dynamic equations were expressed as an estimated equation, which verified the effectiveness with simulation. The results of the present method showed that the understand of variation values of CL/CD is of great use for performance enhancement.

Purpose: This study demonstrated and analyzed the role of distributive justice and procedural justice in explaining the organizational effectiveness of flight attendant. In addition, analyzing the role of the airline type in the coordination between reward justice and organizational effectiveness. Research design, data and methodology: An abstract is the impact relationship between the reward justice and organizational effectiveness of flight attendant and the adjustment effect of the airline type was reviewed. To examine these research models, samples were collected from 281flight attendants during Nov, 2019. Results: Reward justice has a positive effect on organizational effectiveness, and the types of airlines have a meaningful adjustment effect in terms of the effect of reward justice on organizational effectiveness. Conclusions: Procedural justice and distributive justice have positive influence on two sub factors of organizational effectiveness of the flight attendant. It suggests that the standards, procedures and processes of compensation must be fair, the degree of effort, the stress or the tension of the flight attendant should be considering, and it is necessary for the airline to respect the personality of the flight attendant and provide them with accurate compensation information in a timely manner. This will increase the awareness of reward.

The purpose of this study is to find out Acculturation Stress that impact on job satisfaction focus on foreign cabin crew working in korea airline. the analysis showed the statistically significant meaning nationality had influence on acculturation stress. while working years had not influence on acculturation stress. also nationality and working years had not influence on job satisfaction In addition, acculturation stress had a negative influence on job satisfaction. Based on this study results, it required alternatives for job stress reducing as well as job accomplishment. and it is highly considered nationality differences and we should concentrate on effective system.

This research seeks to investigate transfer passengers' service evaluations of an airport. Transfer passengers are important for many airlines and hub airports because the needs of transfer passengers are quite different from O&D passengers. Despite the increasing importance of transfer passengers for airport operations, little research has been done to analyze their needs toward airport services. The data are collected from Japanese and Chinese transfer passengers to investigate airport services at Incheon International Airport. Through the survey, this research investigates the effects of important airport service attributes on customer satisfaction and behavioral intentions.

This study is to explore the airline network patterns of Incheon and Narita International Airports using passenger flight departure and arrival data of the two airports. The so-called Origin-Destination data is collected from the airports' websites and some of the important data items are flight number, city of origin, destination city, departure/arrival time, number of flights, and delay time. A snowflake schema dimensional model is proposed and implemented. Tableau Public, a well-known visual analytic tool, is used to connect the dimensional model and played an important role in navigating the data space to find interesting and visual patterns among corresponding airports and airlines. For the efficiency of analyzing this spacious data mart, data visualization method was used. Four types of visualization method proposed by Yau was used; visualizing patterns over time, visualizing proportions, visualizing relationships, and visualizing spatial relationships. The strength of connectivity of each flight segments is calculated to evaluate the degree of globalization of Seoul and Tokyo. We anticipate that various patterns and new findings produced by the data mart would provide airline managers, airport authorities, and policy makers in the field of travel and transportation with insightful information.
