항공교통관제사의 항공기 합류순서결정에 대한 확률적 예측모형 개발 (Probabilistic Model for Air Traffic Controller Sequencing Strategy)

  • Arrival management is a tool which provides efficient flow of traffic and reduces ATC workload by determining aircraft's sequence and schedules while they are in cruise phase. As a decision support tool, arrival management should advise on air traffic control service based on the understanding of human factor of its user, air traffic controller. This paper proposed a prediction model for air traffic controller sequencing strategy by analyzing the historical trajectory data. Statistical analysis is used to find how air traffic controller decides the sequence of aircraft based on the speed difference and the airspace entering time difference of aircraft. Logistic regression was applied for the proposed model and its performance was demonstrated through the comparison of the real operational data.

스위벨 밸브 튜브 커플러 개발을 위한 해석 연구 (An Analytical Study on the Improvement of the Performance of Swivel Valve Tube Couplers)

  • This study focused on the localization of swivel type tube couplers, which all depend on imports. In this study, a computer application analysis was performed using a finite element method as a preliminary study. In the major developments related to the objective of this study, the air brake system produced by car makers represents a different in the installation point of an air tank according to the type of cars or in the length and direction of its hoses and that leads to cause lots of problems. For solving such problems, the design of the major elements in a swivel type tube coupler was analyzed using a finite element method, and its validity was also verified. In the process that verifies the validity of this study, it was necessary to investigate how much external force affects the desorption of the tube support, which is the most important element in swivel type tube couplers. For achieving the investigation, a pressure test was implemented for the tube support according to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards(FMVSS). In the results of the pressure test, all samples satisfied the FMVSS. In addition, several tests were implemented by installing the sample of the developed swivel type tube coupler to an actual vehicle. In particular, rotation tests with various angles were applied by welding the swivel type coupler to an air tank through an argon welding process. In the results of the installing test for an actual vehicle, it was verified that the designed structure was determined as a structure that is able to endure the eccentric torque and deformation pressure applied to several directions that are the major problems in such fixed type tube couplers. Therefore, in the comparison of the performance of the developed product with the product of PARKER, it was possible to verify that the localized swivel type tube coupler developed in this study shows more excellent than that of the existing products by PARKER.

기계학습 기반의 IABP 부이 자료와 AMSR2 위성영상을 이용한 여름철 북극 대기 온도 추정 (The Estimation of Arctic Air Temperature in Summer Based on Machine Learning Approaches Using IABP Buoy and AMSR2 Satellite Data)

  • 북극 지역의 대기 온도는 바다 및 해빙, 대기 사이의 에너지 교환에 큰 역할을 하므로 북극 대기 온도를 정확하게 파악하는 것은 중요하다. 하지만 현장 관측 자료들은 북극 대기 온도의 공간적인 분포를 나타내는 데에 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 부이(buoy) 자료와 Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2(AMSR2) 위성자료를 이용하여 기계학습 기반 여름철 대기 온도 추정 모델을 구축하였다. 기계학습으로는 random forest(RF) 및 support vector machine(SVM)을 사용하였으며, AMSR2 관측 시간에 따라 하루 두 번의 대기 온도를 추정하였다. 또한 추정된 대기 온도를 유럽 중기예보센터(European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, ECMWF)의 ERA-Interim 재분석자료의 대기 온도와 공간 분포를 비교하였다. 교차 검증 결과 두 가지 기계학습 기법 모두 0.84-0.88의 $R^2$$1.31-1.53^{\circ}C$의 RMSE를 보였다. 공간적인 분포에서 IABP 부이 관측 자료가 존재하지 않는 바렌츠해(Barents Sea), 카라해(Kara Sea) 및 배핀만(Baffin bay) 지역에서는 기계학습 모델이 ERA-Interim 대기 온도에 비하여 과소 추정하는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구는 경험적인 북극 대기 온도 추정의 가능성과 한계점을 서술하였다.

  • Indoor air quality in public transportation such as railway, subway and bus is hard to control because of spatial restrict and variation of passenger's number. On January 2007, The Ministry of Environment announced "the guideline of indoor air quality in public transportation" for the concentration managements of particulate matter and carbon dioxide. In this study, we measured the PM10 concentration inside the Mugunghwa-ho passenger cabin and outdoor air and counted passengers. By the statistical analysis using SigmaPlot 2001 and SPSS 13.0, we found that indoor PM10 concentration is significantly affected by outdoor air. It is suggested that the air quality of inflow to the passenger cabin for air exchange must be controlled to support the indoor environment comfortably.

HLA 기반 대공유도무기 시뮬레이션 프레임워크 설계 및 사례적용 (A Design and Application of HLA-Based Air Defense Simulation Framework)

  • 예측 불가능한 미래 전략 환경에 부합하고, 보다 경제적이며 과학적인 수단으로 무기체계개발을 수행하기 위해 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 기술의 적용이 확대되고 있다. 본 연구는 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 표준연동구조인 HLA(High Level Architecture)및 TCP/IP를 지원하고, 실시간 분산 시뮬레이션을 지원하는 소프트웨어 프레임워크인 ADSF(Air Defense Simulation Framework)를 개발한 경험을 기술하고 있다. 개발된 ADSF는 대공유도무기 M-SAM(Medium Range Surface to Air Missile) 체계시뮬레이터에 적용하였으며, 위성항법장치(GPS : Global Positioning System) 시계를 사용하여 요구조건에 만족하는 시험결과를 산출하였다. 그 결과 ADSF는 HLA를 지원하고 실무기 체계의 통신 프로토콜인 TCP/IP를 지원하는 통신미들웨어가 만들어지고, 실시간 분산 시뮬레이션의 핵심 기술인 정밀모사를 지원하는 시뮬레이션 엔진도 갖추게 되었다. 대공유도무기 체계시뮬레이터는 다수의 구성요소로 이루어진 실시간 분산 시뮬레이션 시스템이므로 실시간 분산 시뮬레이션을 지원해 주는 시뮬레이션 엔진 개발이 요구되었다.

  • The article considers the possibilities of increasing the accuracy of estimates of the parameters of the trajectory of the target with the provision of a given probability of stable support of the air object, in particular, during its maneuver. The aim of the work is to develop a filtration algorithm that provides a given probability of stable tracking of the air object by determining the regular components of filtration errors, in particular, when maneuvering the air object, and their compensation with appropriate correction of filter parameters and estimates of air object trajectory parameters.

LNG차량용 연료탱크의 지지시스템 구조해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Analysis of the Supporting System for LNG Vehicle Fuel Tank)

  • Recently the LNG(liquified natural gas) public buses have been introduced to prevent the air pollution in metropolitan areas. As the LNG temperature in fuel tank is as low as $-162^{\circ}C$. the thermal and structural effects of tank components need to be studied for safe introduction in the market. Especially the support system of LNG fuel tank in vehicle, which has connected with inside and outside of tanks, should put attention to reduce the structural stress due to cryogenic temperature and to restrict the heat flux from ambient. There are two supporting systems in the tank, that one is connected between inside and outside tanks by welding, and the other is the inserted support system which is a cylindrical SUS bar inserted in a hole of the supporting plate. In this study the temperature distribution and thermal stress of the inserted support system were evaluated by using the utility program as ANSYS. The results showed that the rate of heat transfer to inner tank through this support system was quite small due to limited contact of support bar with plate. but the thermal stress of support plate was obtained beyond the limited tensile value of SUS304. The cautious design for the support plate part, therefore, should be given to make the safe support system of LNG vehicle fuel tank.

DoDAF를 이용한 항모 항공지원시스템 아키텍처 개발 (The Development of Carrier Aviation Support System Architecture using DoDAF)

  • This paper describes a development of aircraft carrier aviation support system architecture using DoDAF. The aircraft carrier, a warship performing a role of mobile sea air base in offensive and defense mission, is super system that is comprised of carrier itself and carrier-based airwing. Performing critical role in step with aviation operations in carrier-airwing interactions, the aviation support system of aircraft carrier is also system of systems. It requires a complex and integrated approach based on systems engineering in establishing concept of this complex systems. In this view, this study establishes an operational scenario and derives operational requirements by identifying aviation operations environment on deck of aircraft carrier. The study presents the operational architecture of the carrier aviation support system by using DoDAF and CASE tool CORE.

도착항공기 착륙순서에 관한 조언정보가 관제사 업무효율에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Advice Information for Arriving Aircraft Landing Order on Air Traffic Controller's Work Efficiency)

  • This paper describes the effect of advice information for arriving aircraft landing order on the air traffic controller's work efficiency. The air traffic control simulator used in the experiment was modeled on the basis of the aircraft parameters from BADA, gamma-command model and the 4-dimensional trajectory using the Bezier curve. The simulation results show that advice information was helpful for the performance of the work for users who did not have the air traffic control training. On the other hand, in case of users who have experience in air traffic control training, the work efficiency was lowered when the advisory information that does not reflect the user's intention is provided. Therefore, it can be seen that the effect of improving the work efficiency through advice information can be limited depending on the skill level of the air traffic controllers and the complexity of the air traffic situation.

수도권 미세먼지 환경 개선을 위한 미국의 대기환경정책 사례 조사 연구 (Review of PM-related Air Quality Improvement Policies of United States for PM-related Air Quality Improvement of Metropolitan Region in Korea)

  • Several fine particle-related policies in Northeast United States were investigated in support of the execution of special measures to improve air quality of Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA). The definition of particulate matter (PM) in the Clean Air Act (CAA), components and procedures of Regional Haze Rule (RHR), and Air Quality Management (AQM) were reviewed. Several State Implementation Plans (SIPs) were also reviewed as the way to attain required air quality under the Clean Air Act. $PM_{2.5}$ attainment SIP of Maryland, 8-hr Ozone attainment SIP of New Jersey, and Regional Haze Rule attainment SIP of MANE-VU were analyzed in detail as case studies. We realized that "Special Measures for Air Quality Improvement in the Seoul Metropolitan Area" has many similarities with its US counterparts in terms of purpose, components, procedures, and implementation methods. US policies, however, have more advanced features, such as standardized procedures and methods, transparent guidelines, and stable relationship among federal/state/local governments and stakeholders, which would be helpful to improve air quality in SMA.
