Scandium(Sc) in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu based Al alloy on precipitation phenomenon was compared to a 7001(Al-7.2%Zn-3.2%Mg-1.8%Cu) Al alloy. GP zone and ${\eta}^{\prime}$ phases were the main strengthening phases at low aging temperature under $100^{\circ}C$, but ${\eta}^{\prime}$ and $Al_3Sc$ phases were the main strengthening phases at high aging temperature above $1600^{\circ}C$ in Sc added 7000(Al-7.7%Zn-2.0%Mg-1.9%Cu-0.1%Zr) Al alloy. With the addition of 0.1%Sc in 7000 Al alloy, the activation energy for the GP zone, ${\eta}^{\prime}$ and ${\eta}$ phase decreased compared to the 7001 Al alloy. This result indicates that the Sc accelerated the precipitation for the GP zone, ${\eta}^{\prime}$ and ${\eta}$ phases in 7000 Al alloy. Al-7.7%Zn-2.0%Mg-1.9%Cu-0.1%Zr-0.1 Sc alloy has higher strength than 7001 Al alloy, which has high strength.

Objective : The aim of this study is to report the effect of Hani-maehwa laser(fractional mode) treatment on acne scar. Methods : The patient with atrophic facial acne scars was treated with 5 sessions of laser therapy at 4-week intervals. The therapeutic response to treatment was assessed at 3 months after last laser session. The treatment effect was evaluated by standardized photography, anti aging, skin brightness and flatness. That was measured by micro fluorescence measurement camera(ECO SKIN, Cuvitz Inc.) in 16(left zygoma) and 26(right zygoma) spot. And side effects were also checked. Results : Atrophic facial acne scars have improved markedly. Anti aging, skin brightness and flatness were improved. Especially anti aging and flatness were noticeably improved. Adverse effects were not reported. Conclusions : Korean medicine cautery method applies to high level laser(CO2 Hani-maehwa laser). These are different designs but same principle. It can be considered that laser therapy is effective method for treating acne scars.
The populations of Asian countries are expected to age rapidly in the near future, with a dramatic increase in the number of heart failure (HF) patients also anticipated. The need for palliative and end-of-life care for elderly patients with advanced HF is currently recognized in aging societies. However, palliative care and active treatment for HF are not mutually exclusive, and palliative care should be provided to reduce suffering occurring at any stage of symptomatic HF after the point of diagnosis. HF patients are at high risk of sudden cardiac death from the early stages of the disease onwards. The decision of whether to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the event of an emergency is challenging, especially in elderly HF patients, because of the difficulty in accurately predicting the prognosis of the condition. Furthermore, advanced HF patients are often fitted with a device, and device deactivation at the end of life is a complicated process. Treatment strategies should thus be discussed by multi-disciplinary teams, including palliative experts, and should consider patient directives to address the problems discussed above. Open communication with the HF patient regarding the expected prognosis, course, and treatment options will serve to support the patient and aid in future planning.

Dissolution of ferronickel slag depending on aging condition was studied. Ferronickel slag typically contains 54.05% $SiO_2$, 34.33% MgO, and 5.51% $Fe_2O_3$. The main structure composite was similar to Enstatite [(Mg, $Fe^{2+}$ )$SiO_3$]. Ferronickel slag aging was made in 3 months under various experimental conditions, in water, bubbling water and wetting air. The most effective aging condition was the wetting air treatment. In this condition, the dissolving concentration of Mg and Fe was 80.0% and 75.1% respectively. The XRD and SEM data revealed that the wetting air condition also showed the biggest structural damage.
The effects of transformation temperature and mechanical properties by thermal cycle of CuZnAl shape memory alloy with a small of misch metal and Zr contents were investigated. The addition of misch metal and Zr was very effective for reducing the grain size. After solution treatment, the specimens were post-quench aged or step quenched at $100^{\circ}C$ to $350^{\circ}C$ for variation of Rockwell hardness value. It was found that the Rockwell hareness value was very increased at $200^{\circ}C$ and $250^{\circ}C$. The fracture strength and ductility have been significantly increased with the increase of misch metal conten when tensile tested below $M_f$ temperature. Also, the fracture strength has been more increased in the case of post quench aging treatment than that of the as-quenching treatment. Aging of the $\beta$-phase decreases the $M_s$ temperature, but that of the martensite phase increases the $A_s$ temperature. The change in $A_s$ temperature with post-quench aging can be attributed to recovery of order in the $\beta$phase. The hystersis of transformation temperature ($A_s-M_s$) has an increasing tendency by thermal cycles.
Objective: D-galactose (D-gal) is well-known agent to induce aging process. In the present study, we selected crocin, the main constituent of Crocus sativus L. (saffron), against D-gal- induced cytotoxicity in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells. Methods: Pretreated cells with crocin ($25-500{\mu}M$, 24 h) were exposed to D-gal (25-400 mM, 48 h). The MTT assay was used for determination cell viability. Dichlorofluorescin diacetate assay (DCF-DA) and senescence associated ${\beta}$-galactosidase staining assay (SA-${\beta}$-gal) were used to evaluate the generation of reactive oxygen species and beta-galactosidase as an aging marker, respectively. Also advanced glycation end products (AGEs) expression which is known as the main mechanism of age-related diseases was measured by western blot analysis. Results: The findings of our study showed that treatment of cells with D-gal (25-400 mM) for 48h decreased cell viability concentration dependency. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels which are known as main factors in age-related diseases increased from $100{\pm}8%$ in control group to $132{\pm}22%$ in D-gal (200 mM) treated cells for 48h. The cytotoxic effects of D-gal decreased with 24h crocin pretreatment of cells. The cell viability at concentrations of $100{\mu}M$, $200{\mu}M$ and $500{\mu}M$ increased and ROS production decreased at concentrations of 200 and $500{\mu}M$ to $111.5{\pm}6%$ and $108{\pm}5%$, respectively. Also lysosomal biomarker of aging and carboxymethyl lysine (CML) expression as an AGE protein, significantly increased in D-gal 200 mM group after 48h incubation compare to control group. Pre-treatment of SHSY-5Y cells with crocin ($500{\mu}M$) before adding D-gal significantly reduced aging marker and CML formation. Conclusion: Treatment of SH-SY5Y cells with crocin before adding of D-gal restored aging effects of D-gal concentration dependency. These findings indicate that crocin has potent anti- aging effects through inhibition of AGEs and ROS production.
The effects of RRA treatment on the microstructures and mechanical properties of 7050 Al alloy were investigated by differential scanning calolimetry, transmission electron microscopy, microhardness measurement and electrical conductivity. The hardness of 2nd-step aged specimen at $175^{\circ}C$ was decreased to mimimum value and increased to a peak hardness, and then re-decreased with retrogression treatment. It was found that the hardness of 2nd-step aged specimen was further increased by 3rd step aging treatment($120^{\circ}C$x24h). The initial decrease in hardness during 2nd-step aging was due to the partial dissolution of pre-existing GP zone, the major precipitation hardening phase at T6 condition. It was confirmed that the major precipitation hardening phase at 3rd-step aging was GP zone and η' phase. The electrical conductivity increased continually through 2nd-step and 3rd-step aging treatment. It was conclude that the optium 2nd-step aging condition was at $175^{\circ}C$ for 50min by considering the hardness and electrical conductivity.
This study aims to consider the criteria and signification of 'aging' constructed in media in Korean society that has entered aging society. For the purpose, this study analyzed KBS the representative TV health programs. According to the result, designs the measurable indexes of aging to rank the casts. And it emphasizes to the casts that cannot reach a certain level the support from medical experts or advanced medical technology. With such characteristics of individual text, this paper found the ideological codes of the health programs. They contrast the elderly who have achieved successful aging from those that have not. They define the aged who have not practiced self-management or medical control to prevent aging properly as failure and also make fun of them. They draw aging that was not regarded as some kind of disease in the past into the area of medicine. Besides, the medicalization of aging regarded as an object for treatment may come to strengthen the control of medical experts and also individualize social issues.

Aging is divided into intrinsic aging and photo-aging. Intrinsic aging is naturally occurred as the time passed and photo-aging is induced by the UV radiation of skin. The main reason of aging is the free radicals and the degeneration of the cellular materials by free radicals. In this paper, we checked the anti-aging effects of Mallotus japonicus bark extracts. It has the ability to scavenge free radicals and the SOD like activity. Also, it reduced the cell damage by hydrogen peroxide treatment. Mallotus japonicus bark extracts showed the excellent activity on inhibiting the UV induced cell damage and DNA damage. In conclusion, Mallotus japonicus bark extracts can be used as active ingredients for anti-aging cosmetics.
Objectives: Aging is an unconscious and gradual process that can lead to changes in biological systems. Induction of oxidative stress and apoptosis, hepatotoxicity and neurotoxicity are involved in the aging process. Regarding the antioxidant property of black seed oil, the aim of this study was to evaluate the anti-aging effect of Nigella sativa (N. sativa) oil on d-galactose-induced aging in mice. Methods: For induction of aging, D-galactose (500 mg/kg, subcoutaneously SC) was administrated to male mice for 42 days. Animals were treated with D-galactose alone or with b lack seed oil (0.1, 0.2, 0.5 mL/kg, intraperitoneally (ip)). Additionally, vitamin E (200 mg/kg) was used as a positive control. At the end of treatment, the malondialdehyde (MDA) and the glutathione (GSH) contents in brain and liver tissues were measured. Also, enzymes in serum, including aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine amino transferase (ALT), were determined. The levels of the proteins Bax, Bcl2, caspase-3 (pro and cleaved) in brain and liver tissues were evaluated. Results: Administration of D-galactose (500 mg/kg, SC) for 42 days increased serum levels of ALT and AST, as well as the MDA content, in brain and liver tissues, but decreased the GSH content. Additionally, the levels of apoptotic proteins, including Bax, procaspase-3 and caspase-3 cleaved, were markedly increased. N. sativa oil (0.1 and 0.2 mL/kg) diminished the levels of the biochemical markers ALT and AST. Administration of black seed oil (0.1, 0.2 and 0.5 mL/kg) reduced lipid peroxidation and at doses 0.1 and 0.2 mL/kg significantly recovered the GSH content. The oil decreased Bax/Bcl2 levels and at 0.1 mL/kg down-regulated the expressions of caspase-3 (pro and cleaved) proteins in brain and liver tissues. Conclusion: Through its antioxidant and anti-apoptosis properties, black seed oil exhibited an anti-aging effect in a model of aging induced with D-galactose.
