북방수염하늘소 유충의 이목 침엽수 종류에 따른 성장과 발육 및 생식 (Growth, Development, and Reproduction of Monochamus saltuarius (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) on Conifers Fed to Larvae)

  • 북방수염하늘소의 유충은 먹이로 공급된 잣나무, 소나무, 젓나무, 일본잎갈나무, 백송, 그리고 리기다소나무 각각을 식이하여 성장할 수 있다. 이목의 종류는 유충의 크기와 생존력에 큰 영향을 준다. 처리구 모두 유충의 성장곡선은 사육 3개월 동안 계속 증가하며, 이 후에는 약간 감소한다. 유충과성충의 크기는 백송에서 가장 크게 나타났다. 다음으로 소나무, 잣나무, 젓나무에서 비슷한 크기로 자랐다. 가장 작은 것은 일본잎갈나무와 리기다소나무를 급여한 것이었다. 유충은 적당한 양의 수분이 공급되어야 성장할 수 있다. 유충에서 생식 활동이 가능한 성충으로 우화할 시기까지 생존율은 잣나무식이구 53.6%, 소나무 51.8%, 젓나무 34.7%, 백송 17.8%, 일본잎갈나무 16.7%, 그리고 리기다소나무 12.3%로 나타났다. 각 처리구에서 우화한 성충은 산란을 하였으며, 알은 부화하여 정상적인 유충으로 성장하였다. 실내 사육(2007년 6월부터)되어 월동시킨 노숙유충의 일부는 용화하지 않고 2008년 10월말 현재까지 유충상태로 남아있다. 야외에서 자연 감염된 잣나무와 일본잎갈나무 각각에서 우화한 성충의 두폭은 암 수 모두 잣나무 개체군이 크게 나타났다. 탈출공의 크기도 잣나무에서 크게 나타났다. 탈출공의 크기는 자연에서의 것보다 먹이 경쟁을 최소화하고 적당량의 수분을 공급한 실내 잣나무 접종목에서 크게 형성되었다.

ESG기업가정신교육과 참여적 학습 방식이 '창의적 문제해결' 및 '사회적 가치 인식'에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of ESG Entrepreneurship Education and Participatory Learning Method on Creative Problem-Solving and Social Value Recognition)

  • ESG는 지구 위기에 있어 우리가 우선적으로 관심을 가져야 하는 핵심 사안이다. 최근 ESG와 관련된 다양한 연구들이 시도되고 있지만, 대부분의 연구들이 초기 수준에서 ESG의 중요성을 강조하는 주제로 편중되어 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지구의 위기 극복에 있어서 ESG의 실천이 무엇보다도 중요하다고 판단하여 실천을 위한 'ESG 교육'에 주목하여 다양한 선행연구를 토대로 교육을 통해 실천 가능한 콘텐츠를 개발하였다. 우선 현직에 있는 초·중·고 교사, 대학 교수, 교육 컨설턴트 등이 함께 참여하여 이전부터 초·중·고에서 실시되고 있었던 「기업가정신교육」을 ESG와 접목하여 'ESG기업가정신교육'콘텐츠 및 프로그램을 개발하였고, 개발된 프로그램을 토대로 참여형 학습 기법을 접목하여 현장에서 실행하고 학습 효과를 심층적으로 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 ESG 교육프로그램의 핵심 특성 변수로 「ESG기업가정신교육」, 「학생 참여형 수업」, 「팀 기반 학습」이 「창의적 문제해결」과 「사회적 가치 인식」에 미치는 영향을 규명하고, 「창의적 문제해결」이 「사회적 가치 인식」으로 이어지는 관계를 규명하였다. 또한, 「교육프로그램 특성」과 「사회적 가치 인식」사이에서 「학교 분위기」, 「교수자의 열정」이 조절효과로 영향을 미치는지를 규명하였다. 분석 결과, 교육프로그램 특성 하위 변수인 「ESG기업가정신교육」, 「학생 참여형 수업」, 「팀 기반 학습」은 「창의적 문제해결」과 「사회적 가치 인식」에 유의미한 결과로 나타났고, 「창의적 문제해결」은 「사회적 가치 인식」에 영향을 미치는 결과로 나타났다. 또한, 「교수자의 열정」이 교육프로그램 특성과 사회적 가치 인식 사이에서 조절효과로 나타났다. 본 연구는 초·중·고로 이어지는 ESG 실천의 중요성을 강조하여 교육 현장에서 바로 접목할 수 있는 콘텐츠·프로그램·학습 방식을 제시하였고 ESG기업가정신교육과 적극적 참여 학습을 접목한 교육이 사회적 가치 인식에 중요한 영향을 미치며, 교수자의 열정이 매우 중요한 역할을 한다는 시사점을 도출하였다.

학교 텃밭의 지속적인 운영방안에 관한 연구 - 서울특별시 초등학교의 학교 텃밭 실태조사를 바탕으로 - (A Sustainable Operation Plan for School Gardens - Based on a Survey of Elementary School Gardens in Seoul)

  • 본 연구는 학교 텃밭의 양적인 확대뿐만 아니라, 지속적인 운영 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 서울시내 599개 초등학교를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 설문조사에 응답한 161개 학교 모두가 학교 텃밭을 조성 운영하고 있었다. 서울시 초 중 고 포함 학교 텃밭 면적은 $166,901m^2$, 평균 $131.2m^2$이고, 설문조사에 응답한 161개교의 학교 텃밭 면적은 $65,493m^2$, 평균 $363m^2$, 학생 1인당 $1.15m^2$로 조사되었다. 학교 자체적으로 조성 운영하는 경우는 11.8%, 학교 자체적으로 조성하여 운영하다가 기관 지원 사업을 통해 재조성 혹은 환경개선을 하여 운영하는 경우가 50.3%로 조사되었다. 학교 텃밭은 조성위치에 따라 혼합형(교내 텃밭과 상자텃밭 조합)이 34.8%로 많았고, 교내 텃밭형이 32.9%, 상자 텃밭형이 29.2%, 교외 근린텃밭을 활용하는 교외 텃밭형 학교도 3.1%였다. 텃밭 운영 담당자는 담당교사가 51.6%로 가장 높았으며, 텃밭 조성 시에 함께 조성된 시설물은 소형 온실 농기구 보관함이 26.1%로 가장 많았으나, 별도의 기반시설이 함께 조성되지 않은 경우도 21.7%였다. 텃밭 운영에 있어서 어려운 점은 텃밭 관리가 34.2%로 가장 높았고, 텃밭의 지속적 운영을 위해 가장 필요한 요소로 물리적 환경 개선과 유급관리인 고용이 필요하다는 의견이 각 32%로 높게 조사되었다. 학교 텃밭 조성목적은 교육환경 조성(81.6%)이 가장 높았으며, 텃밭관리에 필요한 정보는 주로 주변 자문(67.8%)을 통해서 얻고 있었다. 텃밭에서 발생하는 식물쓰레기를 친환경적으로 퇴비화하는 학교는 45.8%였다. 학교 텃밭의 교육적 활용이 학생들에게 미치는 영향에 대해서는 매우 효과적이라는 응답이 63.2%, 효과적이라는 응답이 36.8%로 조사대상 학교 전체가 긍정적인 응답을 하였다. 본 연구는 서울지역 초등학교를 대상으로 텃밭 운영 실태를 파악하고, 지속적인 운영방안으로 학교 실정에 맞는 텃밭조성 지원, 양질의 교육프로그램적용 및 교구개발, 담당교사 직무연수 확대, 전문 강사 지원방법 모색, 텃밭관리조직 운영의 필요성을 제안하는데 의의가 있다고 생각된다.

생활 주변 자료 활용 수업이 학업성취도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of the Instructional Use of Materials Around Everyday Life on Science Academic Achievement: Focused on the Third and Sixth - Grade Level)

  • The purpose of this study is to guide and apply gettable and accessible materials around everyday life into classroom instruction, and to find out their effects on student academic achievement. In order to achieve it, this study was tried to develop and guide available materials around life in teaming activities, to provide a preliminary assignment that could apply the available materials, and to compare its academic achievement to one from field trip loaming. For the hypothesis testing, first, the experimental and comparing classes were selected based on the results of basic learning diagnostic evaluation, which conducted by the researcher being served as a full-time science teacher of the third and sixth grade of K elementary school in Kwangju for 2 years. Secondly, the instructional use of the available materials around life was applied to the experimental class. Also, the instructional use of the existing materials was applied to the comparing class. Finally, for the testing of the effects on academic achievement, the posterio test was implemented after conducting the experimental instruction in knowledge·understanding, inquiry process, and attitude domains classified by the unit characteristics. Using SPSS/WIN program the t-test was performed in order to compare the differences between the two groups. Major findings were as follows: 1) In the achievement test of knowledge·understanding domain, there were no significant differences at the 5% level between the experimental and comparing classes. It could be difficult to say, therefore, that the instructional use of the available materials around life was more effective than the instructional use of the existing materials. However, it had some effects on differences between the third grade final achievement test and sixth grade experimental class. 2) In the achievement test of inquiry process domain, there were some significant differences in that the sixth grade experimental class was higher than the third grade out-of classroom experience unit. It was indicated that the instructional use of the available materials around life had some effects on improving the students' inquiry ability 3) In achievement test of attitude domain, there were some significant differences. It was shown that the self-evaluation test of the sixth grade experimental class unit was higher than that of the third grade out-of classroom experience unit; Especially, the learning activities in the experimental class were more active, and the experimental practice ability was improved. It was presented that the instructional use of the available materials around life had some effects on the students' academic achievement in attitude domain. It was concluded from this study that the instructional use of the available materials around life was less effective on Knowledge understanding domain, but was effective on improving their scientific inquiry ability and interest on science education.

충남 지역 일부 학교의 PM10과 중금속 농도에 관한 연구 (The Study on Concentration of PM10 and Heavy Metal in Public Schools at Chung-Nam Area)

  • In this study, in order to analyze the air quality of the indoor environments of schools, we measured the indoor, outdoor and personal exposure concentration level of $PM_{10}$ for 40 classrooms(20 old, 20 new) in chungnam area from June 22 to July 19 and from November 21 to December 30, 2003. 1. Old classrooms contained more dust than new classrooms; the average of respirable dust is $43.27\;{\mu}g/m^3$ for new classrooms while $53.38\;{\mu}g/m^3$ for old one. The exposure concentration level of respirable dust in new classrooms were in summer higher outdoors than indoors. The values were indoors $46.71\;{\mu}g/m^3$, outdoors $50.46\;{\mu}g/m^3$, and personal $41.62\;{\mu}g/m^3$. Meanwhile in winter indoors had a higher concentration level than outdoors, the values being indoors $39.11\;{\mu}g/m^3$, outdoors $34.86\;{\mu}g/m^3$, and personal $49.01\;{\mu}g/m^3$. 2. Cr concentration level within dust was slightly higher in summer indoors ($101.50{\pm}32.10\;ng/m^3$) and outdoors ($100.89{\pm}35.18\;ng/m^3$) than winter indoors ($85.80{\pm}48.95\;ng/m^3$) and outdoors ($74.43{\pm}38.93\;ng/m^3$), but in personal concentration level, winter was higher. The results of this research show insufficient understanding of health risks from indoor air pollution, and shows possible health problems to students from school indoor air pollution. As such, a logical and systematic education program for students about the importance of indoor air quality should be carried out. Also the results of $PM_{10}$ concentration level measurements emphasize the need for regular measurements of indoor / outdoor and personal concentration level. New classrooms in particular needs to be used after measuring pollutants and safety, and requires installation of a ventilation device in all classrooms to improve air quality.

치위생과 학생의 자기표현이 임상실습 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Self-Expression on Stress with Clinical Dental Practice among Students in the Department of Dental Hygiene)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the self-expression level of dental hygiene students related to communicative competence and their stress during clinical practice and what affected their stress. The subjects in this study were 125 dental hygiene students in W college, on whom a survey was conducted from September 18 through 30, 2006. After the collected data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 10.0 program, the following findings were acquired: 1. When a factor analysis was made to evaluate the self-expression of the students, there appeared three different categories of self-expression: voice/content, facial expression/attitude and sentiment. The three made a 58.1% prediction of their self-expression. As for overall reliability, they turned out highly reliable(Cronbach'a = .881). 2. The dental hygiene students got a mean of 3.58 out of possible five points in self-expression, which indicated that they expressed themselves relatively well. Concerning connections between their general characteristics and self-expression level, those who were inactive during clinical practice got a mean of 3.28, whereas the others who were active got a mean of 3.85. It implied that those who took a more active attitude to clinical practice expressed themselves better(p < .01). The person with whom they found it hard to get along made a statistically significant difference to their self-expression(p < .05). The students who didn't fare well with dental hygienists got the best score(3.70). The second best group(3.53) didn't get along with dentists, followed by assistant nurses(3.46) and patients/caregivers(3.31). As for the impact of the field of dream job, the students who hoped to work or study overseas(4.21) excelled in self-expression those who wanted to be hired in a general hospital, to go onto a school of higher grade and to work in a public dental clinic(p < .05). Among the general characteristics, satisfaction level with major, health status and motivation of choosing dental hygiene made no statistically significant differences to their self-expression. 3. Regarding relations between self-expression level and stress about clinical practice, those who didn't express themselves properly in terms of sentiment scored higher in stress level(3.65). Their stress was statistically significantly different according to self-expression level (p < .05). 4. As for the influence of self-expression and general characteristics on stress with clinical practice, sentiment was selected from among the self-expression categories as a decisive factor to affect stress. Their stress varied statistically significantly with that(p < .05). In contrast, their demographic variables made no statistically significant difference to that, which made a 79.2% prediction of it.

치주염 환자의 혈장과 적혈구내 S.O.D와 Catalase 활성도에 관한 연구 (SUPEROXIDE DISMUTASE - AND CATALASE - ACTIVITY IN BLOOD PLASMA AND RED BLOOD CELLS IN PERIODONTITIS)

  • It has been believed that the increased release of free oxygen radicals and their tissue damaging potency might be a contributing factor in the pathogenesis of periodontal disease. Antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase(SOD) and catalase can protect the tissue damage from the free oxygen radicals($O_2^-,H_2O_2$, and $OH^-$). In order to investigate the SOD- and catalase - activity in the blood plasma and red blood cells(RBCs) of the patients with perodontitis, 19 male periodontitis patients($25{\sim}35$ years old) who had good general health, more than 10 teeth with severely inflamed gingiva, attachment loss more than 6mm and bone loss were selected as periodontitis group, and 13 male volunteers($22{\sim}29$ years old) with good general and periodontal health were selected as normal group. After blood plasma and RBC were separated from peripheral blood of 2ml collected from antecubital vein of each subject, SOD- activity in blood plasma and RBCs was measured by the same method that Paoletti et al. did, and catalase - activity in RBC was measured by the same method that Beers et al, did. The difference of SOD- and catalase - activity between the normal and the periodontitis groups was statistically analyzed by Student t-test with SPSS/PC program.The results were as follows : 1. SOD activity in blood plasma was significantly lower in the periodontitis group($1.986{\pm}0.893$) than in the normal group($3.324{\pm}1.044$)(p<0.05). 2. There was no statistical significance in the difference of SOD- activity in RBCs between the periodontitis group($7.753{\pm}3.206$) and the normal group($8.116{\pm}1.192$)(p$242.8{\pm}45.6$) than in the normal group($280.2{\pm}32.6$)(p

Development of tailored nutrition information messages based on the transtheoretical model for smartphone application of an obesity prevention and management program for elementary-school students

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Easy access to intervention and support for certain behaviors is important for obesity prevention and management. The available technology such as smartphone applications can be used for intervention regarding healthy food choices for obesity prevention and management in elementary-school students. The transtheoretical model (TTM) is comprised of stages and processes of change and can be adopted to tailored education for behavioral change. This study aims to develop TTM-based nutrition contents for mobile applications intended to change eating behaviors related to weight gain in young children. SUBJECTS/METHODS: A synthesized algorithm for tailored nutrition messages was developed according to the intake status of six food groups (vegetables, fruits, sugar-sweetened beverages, fast food and instant food, snacks, and late-night snacks), decision to make dietary behavioral changes, and self-confidence in dietary behavioral changes. The messages in this study were developed from December 2014 to April 2015. After the validity evaluation of the contents through expert consultation, tailored nutrition information messages and educational contents were developed based on the TTM. RESULTS: Based on the TTM, stages of subjects are determined by their current intake status, decision to make dietary behavioral changes, and self-confidence in dietary behavioral changes. Three versions of tailored nutrition messages at each TTM stage were developed so as to not send the same messages for three weeks at most, and visual materials such as figures and tables were developed to provide additional nutritional information. Finally, 3,276 tailored nutrition messages and 60 nutrition contents for applications were developed. CONCLUSIONS: Smartphone applications may be an innovative medium to deliver interventions for eating behavior changes directly to individuals with favorable cost-effectiveness. In addition, using the TTM for tailored nutrition education for healthy eating is an effective approach.

치주질환 환자의 말초혈액내 glutathione peroxidase와 catalase의 활성 변화에 관한 연구 (STUDY ON THE ALTERATION OF GLUTATHIONE PEROXIDASE & CATALASE ACTIVITY IN PERIPHERAL BLOOD OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE PATIENTS)

  • It has been believed that the increased release of free oxygen radicals ($O_2^-,H_2O_2$, and $OH^-$) might be a factor in the pathogenesis of periodontal diseases. Antioxidant enzymes such as glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX) and catalase can protect the tissue damage from the $H_2O_2$. In order to investigate the GSH-PX and catalase activity in the blood plasma and red blood cells(RBCs) of the patients with periodontitis, 19 patients who had good general health, attachment loss more than 6 mm and bone loss were selected as periodontitis group, 7 patients who had severely inflamed gingiva were selected as gingivitis group, and 15 volunteers with good general and periodontal health were selected as normal group. 17 of 26 patients were performed scaling and root planing to reduce the gingival inflammation for gingivitis and periodontitis groups, and were selected as posttreatment group. After blood plasma and RBCs were collected and separated 1 ml of peripheral blood from each subject, GSH-PX activity in blood plasma and RBCs was measured by the same method that Stefan et al. did, and catalase activity in RBCs was measured by the same method that Beers et al. did. The difference of GSH-PX and catalase activity between normal, gingivitis, and periodontitis groups was statistically analyzed by ANOVA with SPSS/PC+ program, and the difference between pretreatment and posttreatment groups was analyzed by Student t-test. The results were as follows : 1. GSH-PX activity in blood plasma was significantly lower in the gingivitis group($0.8683{\pm}0.0658$), periodontitis group($0.7130{\pm}0.1333$) than in the normal group($1.0241{\pm}0.0801$)(p<0.05), and GSH-PX activity in RBCs was significantly lower in the gingivitis groupt. $0.8156{\pm}0.1167$), periodontitis group($0.7533{\pm}0.1185$) than in the normal group($l.1963{\pm}0.2044$)(P<0.05), but there was no statistical significance in the difference of GSH-PX activity in RBCs between the gingivitis group and periodontitis group(p>0.05). 2. Catalase activity in RBCs was siginficantly lower in the periodontitis group($117.34{\pm}35.01$) than in the normal group($l52.38{\pm}32.09$)(p<0.05). 3. GSH-PX activity in blood plasma was significantly increased in the posttreatment groupe $1.0376{\pm}0.2820$) compared to the pretreatment group(0.7608 0.1600) (p<0.05), and GSH-PX activity in RBC was significantly increased in the posttreatment group($1.0421{\pm}0.2330$) compared to the pretreatment group($0.7728{\pm}0.1210$)(p<0.05). 4. There was no statistical significance in the difference of catalase activity in RBCs between the pretreatment group($112.04{\pm}43.65$) and posttreatment group($l33.41{\pm}39.16$)(p>0.05).The results, within the limits of the present experiment, suggest that the lowered activity of GSH-PX and catalase in blood plasma and RBCs may be related with periodontopathogenesis.

Graphene의 플라즈마 표면 개질과 박테리아 셀룰로오스와의 결합성 검토 (Plasma Surface Modification of Graphene and Combination with Bacteria Cellulose)

  • 본 연구에서는 물리적 강도가 강한 천연 고분자인 박테리아 셀룰로오스(BC)를 기반으로 전기적 성질이 매우 뛰어난 그래핀을 결합시켜 터치 스크린과 같은 투명 전도성 필름을 제조할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하고자 한다. 그래핀을 BC와 결합하기 위해서 라디오파의 인가강도와 처리시간을 달리하여 상온에서 산소 플라즈마 처리를 통해 표면을 개질시켰다. 개질된 그래핀의 물에 대한 접촉각이 $130^{\circ}$에서 $12^{\circ}$로 매우 작아진 것으로 친수성이 향상되었다. 또한, XPS분석에서는 graphene 처리 전 산소함유량 2.99%에서 10.98%로 크게 증가하였다. 그래핀의 손상은 Raman 분석에서 $I_D/I_G$ 비로 정도를 알 수 있다. 처리 전 $I_D/I_G$ 비가 0.11로 손상 정도가 가장 낮았고, 처리 후 0.36~0.43으로 처리 전에 비해 그래핀의 구조적 결함이 증가하였다. 용해시킨 BC에 그래핀을 0~0.04 wt% 첨가하여 제조한 막의 XRD 분석에 의하면 BC막과 plasma 처리된 graphene이 함유된 결합막이 동일한 $2{\theta}$로서 화학적으로 잘 결합되었음을 확인하였다. 이는 SEM 이미지에서 BC와 그래핀의 결합 상태를 확인한 것과 일치하였다. FT-IR 분석에서 플라즈마 처리한 그래핀이 함유된 결합막의 1,000~1,300 $cm^{-1}$ (C=O)에서의 피크가 커진 것으로 보아 plasma 처리된 graphene에서 산소기가 생성되었음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과로부터 BC의 물리적인 강점을 기반으로 하여 그래핀을 결합시킨다면 신규의 투명 전도성 소재를 개발할 수 있으리라 사료된다.
