전문계 고등학교에서 방과후학교 시범학교의 진로교육 운영실태 (Management State of Career Education in the Model After-school Class of a Vocational High School)

  • 이 연구는 전문계 고등학교 방과후학교에서 실시되는 진로교육의 실태를 조사 분석하여, 학교교육 현장에서 그 현황과 문제점을 진단하고, 문제점 개선 및 효율적 운영을 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 이 연구를 수행하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 전문계 고등학교 학생들은 자신의 진로선택을 위해 교과관련 심화교육과 직업체험학습, 자격증 취득을 위한 진로교육 프로그램을 선호하였다. 둘째, 전문계 고등학교의 방과후학교 진로교육은 대학진학과 자격증 취득에 집중하고 있었다. 셋째, 학생들은 원하는 대학의 진학과 필요한 자격증 취득을 위해 방과후학교 진로교육에 참가하고 있었다. 넷째, 교사들은 담당교원의 업무과중과 예산부족을 방과후학교 진로교육의 효율적 진행을 방해하는 요소로 인식하였다. 다섯째, 교사와 학생 대부분은 주중 방과 후에 진로교육 프로그램이 운영되기를 원하였다. 따라서 전문계 고등학교에서 방과후학교 진로교육의 효율적인 운영을 위해서는 교원의 업무경감을 위한 행 재정적인 지원이 필요하며 우수한 강사 확보와 프로그램의 개발에 대한 지속적인 투자가 이루어져야 한다.

Effect of 2Dimesion and 3Dimension Images on Human Factors

  • This study aims to examine the effects of watching 2D and 3D images on the blink rate. Regarding the image watch, their blink rate for 2D and 3D images was separately checked for 1 minute in the 1m distance, before the watch, after 15 minutes of watch, and after 30 minutes of watch. About the change of their blink rate in the 2D image watch, it tended to become higher than that before watching the image; however, there was no statistical significance (paired t-test, p=0.106, p=0.062). And in the 2D image watch, it tended to increase in comparison between after 15 minutes and after 30 minutes, but there was no statistical significance (paired t-test, p=0.623). Meanwhile, about the change of their blink rate in the 3D image watch, it tended to decrease statistically significantly both after 15 minutes and after 30 minutes when compared with that before watching the image (paired t-test, p=0.000, p=0.000). In the 3D image watch, it tended to increase in comparison between after 15 minutes and after 30 minutes; however, there was no statistical significance (paired t-test, p=0.867).

저소득층 아동의 학업, 및 사회성 발달 : 부모보호와 자기보호 비교 (Variations and Outcomes in the After-School Care of children from Low-Income Families)

  • The present study investigated differences in children's school achievement and emotional and social development by type of after-school care: self-care and mother-care. It also examined relationships between children's developmental outcomes and ecological variables, including individual, familial, and environmental variables by care methods. The data of 330 mother-care and 161 self-care children was provided by teachers, mothers, and the children themselves. The analyses of the data were conducted by t-test, correlation, and regression. Findings were that mother-care children had higher scores in grades, school adjustment and teacher relationship and lower depression and withdrawn behaviors than self-care children; after-school activities and peer support predicted the developmental outcomes of mother-care children; gender, autonomous ability, and behavior control predicted the development of self-care children.

방과후 아동지도 시설유형별 교육환경 비교 (A Comparative Study of the Environment of After-School Child Care by Type of Facility)

  • This study examined the conditions and administration of 548 private, social welfare, and elementary school-based facilities providing after-school child care. The School-Age Care Environment Rating Scale developed by authors was administered to the teachers of these facilities. The rating scale consists of 84 items in 9 sub-areas. Seven point ratings were obtained for each item. One-way ANOVA confirmed differences between all items at the (p<.001) except for supplementary special needs items. The private facilities had the best environment for after-school child care except for staff development. The social welfare facilities showed good evaluation in staff-child interactions, activities, staff development and administration. The elementary schools obtained low evaluations except for supplementary special needs items. The evaluation of social welfare facilities was highest in Seoul and private child care facilities were highest in other areas.

과학 실험 연수에 대한 초등 교사들의 기대와 실태 분석 (An Analysis on Elementary School Teachers' Expectation and Reality for Science Experiment in-service Training Program)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze elementary school teacher' expectation and reality before and after science experiment in-service training program. The surveys for before and after in-service training were conducted among 231 elementary school teachers who participated for science experiment in-service training. 5 elementary school teachers who took part in surveys were interviewed after training. The results of this study are as follows: First, teachers' interest for science increased regardless of willingness to training participation through science experiment training. Second, discussion for science teaching strategies were not enough while the training recognized with experiments and lecture of instructors mainly. Third, teachers prefered alternative experiments and practical experience of experiments to lecture and basic experiments based on textbook. Forth, assessment of teachers in training must be improved.

중학생의 전류에 대한 학습전 개념과 관계 현상 관찰후의 설명 (Middle school students' conceptions related to electric current and their explanation after observation of related phenomena before school instruction)

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate Korean middle school students' conceptions related to electric current, and to analyze their changes in explanations about current after their observations of the related phenomena The subjects of the study were 20 students from one middle school in Seoul The conclusions of the studty are as follows: 1, Korean middle school students have various misconceptions such as current consumption model, sequential model, monopole model, non-various current model, the most students have sequential model' 2. When an evidence is introduced, some students do not perceive the phenomena as the teacher attempts. 3. When an evidence was introduced, after observation of the evidence some of the students who had misconceptions changed their explanatios, which were not always correct explanations, and the others did not change their expanations, which their observations were mostly incorrect.

Prooxidant-antioxidant balance and malondialdehyde over time in adult rats after tubal sterilization and vasectomy

  • Objective: Sterilization (tubal sterilization and vasectomy) is a widely applied contraceptive method worldwide. Although most studies have described sterilization as a safe method, there are reports of tubal ligation (TL) and vasectomy complications. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of TL and vasectomy on the serum oxidative stress, specifically prooxidant-antioxidant balance (PAB) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, over time. Methods: Male and female rats were classified into vasectomy, sham-vasectomy, TL, and sham-TL groups, respectively. The PAB and MDA levels were measured on days 15 and 45 and months 3 and 6 after the intervention. For female rats, blood sampling was performed during the diestrous phase and estradiol and progesterone were also measured. Results: Serum PAB and MDA increased after TL (p<0.05). Vasectomy increased serum MDA remarkably after 45 days, 3 months, and 6 months (p<0.05). After vasectomy, serum PAB also increased although not significantly. Serum estradiol and progesterone decreased remarkably in the TL group compared to the sham group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Bilateral TL and vasectomy both increase the serum oxidative stress; however the imbalance after TL was very noticeable. As for the TL, the reduction of serum estrogen levels can be involved in this imbalance. Complications followed by TL or vasectomy could be due to increased levels of oxidants. Thus, prescribing antioxidants during and or after surgery may be a solution.

The Effects of Paracetamol, Ketorolac, and Paracetamol Plus Morphine on Pain Control after Thyroidectomy

  • Background: The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of ketorolac, paracetamol, and paracetamol plus morphine on pain relief after thyroidectomy. Methods: Eighty patients were randomly allocated to one of the 4 groups: normal saline (group C), ketorolac 30 mg (group K), paracetamol 1 g (group P), and paracetamol 700 mg plus morphine 3 mg (group PM). Each regimen was administered intravenously (IV) 30 min. before the end of surgery. If pain was not relieved, patients received an IV bolus of pethidine hydrochloride 25 mg. Pain intensity using a visual analogue scale (VAS) was recorded at 0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 6 hr after the end of surgery. Results: VAS at 0.5 and 1 hr after the end of surgery were significantly lower in group K, group P, and group PM than in group C (P < 0.05). The number of patients receiving pethidine hydrochloride at 0.5 and 1 hr after the end of surgery was significantly lower in group K, group P, and group PM than in group C (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference among the groups in the incidences of adverse events associated with study medications and patient satisfaction (P > 0.05). Conclusions: Paracetamol 1 g IV possesses a similar analgesic efficacy to ketorolac 30 mg IV after thyroidectomy. Paracetamol may represent an alternative to ketorolac for pain prevention after mildly to moderately painful surgery in situations where the use of NSAIDs is unsuitable.

초등학교 고학년을 위한 활동중심 식생활교육 프로그램의 효과평가 (Effect-Evaluation of Nutrition Education Textbook and Teaching Manual in Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effect of nutrition education after executing education nutrition with the nutrition education textbook, reconstructed 12 units, focused on older elementary school children and to evaluate interest and understanding of textbook. The subjects were 4th grade children. The results were as follows. The most interesting lesson contents was 'obesity(16.3%)', and the next were 'food poisoning' (13.3%), 'kimchi'(13.3%), and 'Korean table manners'(10.2%) in the 12 unit. Children who attended education nutrition answered 'interesting'(94.1%), 'understand easily'(97.1%) about the developed textbook. With regard to change in nutrition knowledge after education, the percentage of correct answers was increased in most of question except 'reason of snack' and 'weight-control'. And the total score of nutrition knowledge was risen(p<0.01), because the ratio of correct answer of 'importance of breakfast'(p<0.05) and 'nutrition labeling'(p<0.01) was improved especially. The ratio of desirable snack time 'between lunch and dinner' was higher after education(91.2%) than before(55.2%)(p<0.01). After education, the choice of 'Fruit and vegetable' of which desirable snack food was increased. Both the choice of 'bread' and 'fast food', a factor of oversupply calorie, was decreased. And after education, the percentage of sound snack place 'home' was improved. In regard of a meal environment, the percentage of 'every wash hand before eating' is 65.1% and there is scarcely change after education. Before education, children answered 'use it rightly'(82.4%) about 'how to eat with spoon and chopsticks', but it is lower after education. The ratio of 'leave food sometimes or always' is 47.1% before education, and the ratio of leftover food tend to decreased in school lunch. Relate to reason of leftover, the percentage of 'because of hate food' tend to decrease. This results suggests that the activity-centered nutrition education can help to change food behaviors and increase nutrition knowledge level of school children.

흡연 중학생에 대한 자기효능감증진 금연프로그램의 효과 (The Effect of Self-Efficacy Promotion Smoking Cessation Program for Middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effect of a self-efficacy promotion smoking cessation program for middle school students. This program was redesigned on the basis of Shin Sung Rye( 1997)' s Self-Efficacy Promoting Program for this study. The design of this paper was quasi-experimental. equivalent control group pre-post test. time series design. The subjects of this study were 53 smoker adolescents in D Middle School in the city of Busan. The results were summarized as follows: 1) The Hypothesis 1 was accepted: The self efficacy of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group after 1 week (expected efficacy t=2.20, p<.05. expected outcomes t=-2.58. p<.05) 4 weeks after education (expected efficacy t=- .19. p<.001, expected outcomes t=-2.586. p<.05). 2) The Hypothesis 2 was accepted: The amount of smoking of the experimental group was reduced more than that of the control group after 1 week (t=2.05, p<.05) and after 4 weeks (t=2.03. p<.05). 3) The Hypothesis 3 was accepted: The positive urine cotinine of the experimental group was less than that of the control group after 1 week after education($x^2$=8.57. p<.01) after 4 weeks ($x^2$=22.49. p<.001). In conclusion. a self-efficacy promotion smoking cessation program for middle school students was an effective smoking cessation program and then it will be valuable for stopping the smoking among the adolescents.
