Sprague-Dawley male rats (150 g) were chronically treated with 5 v/v % ethanol admixed with nutritionally complete liquid diet and fed ad libitum for 3 weeks. Controls were pair fed with the isocaloric sucrose liquid diet. One half of each group was exposed to cold stress at $4^{\circ}C$ either for 24 h (for determination of mRNA by in situ hybridization) or for 48 h (for determination of enzyme activity). Chronic ethanol treatment (ethanol) did not affect tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) mRNA level in locus coeruleus (LC) of brain and adrenal medulla (AM) compared to controls. Cold stress showed strong increase of TH mRNA level in LC and AM compared to controls. Pretreated ethanol reduced the increased TH mRNA level by cold stress in LC and AM. Ethanol did not affect TH activity in LC and adrenal glands (adrenals). Cold stress increased TH activity in LC but not in adrenals. Pretreated ethanol did not reduce the increased TH activity by cold stress in LC but this result was not shown in adrenals. It is suggested that ethanol does not affect the message level and enzyme protein level for TH in LC and AM in normal rat. It is also hypothesized that pretreated ethanol reduces the magnitude of acute cold stress response, that is induction of TH mRNA in LC and AM, and does not reduce the increased TH enzyme protein that is also acute cold stress response in LC.

This study presents the effects of geometrical dimensions of concrete gravity dams on the seismic response considering different base width/dam height (L/H) ratios. In the study, a concrete gravity dam with the height of 200 m is selected and finite element models of the dam are constituted including five different L/H ratios such as 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.00, 1.25. All dams are modeled in ANSYS software considering dam-reservoir-foundation interaction. 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake records are applied to models in upstream-downstream direction and linear time history analyses are performed. Dynamic equilibrium equations of motions obtained from the finite element models of the coupled systems are solved by using Newmark time integration algorithm. The seismic response of the models is evaluated from analyses presenting natural frequencies, mode shapes, displacements and principal stresses. The results show that the L/H ratios considerably affect the seismic response of gravity dams. Also, the model where L/H ratio is 1.00 has more desirable results and most appropriate representation of the seismic response of gravity dams.

Meeting, Incentive travel, Convention, Exhibition (MICE) industries recently introduced new information systems, such as the exhibition guide system (EGS), to keep pace with Smart MICE and maximize the effect of exhibition performance. We investigate how persuasive EGS can affect the EGS acceptance of attendees via cognitive and affective response. We analyzed data from 442 EGS users at an exhibition. We found that information accuracy, information relevance, and source credibility were predictors of cognitive response. Source credibility had a significant effect on affective response. Furthermore, cognitive response was found to be a positive predictor of affective response and EGS acceptance. We also found affective response is a predictor of EGS acceptance. The theoretical and practical implications of the study were presented based on the results.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of BITG on immune response in the young mice. BITG(500mg/kg) was administerd per orally once a day for 7 days to the young BALB/C(4 wks old)mice. The administrationo of BITG enhanced the cell viability of splenocytes, but did not affect that of thymocytes. In vitro system, BITG decreased the cell viability of thymocytes and splenocytes at the concentration of $100{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. The administration of BITG did not affect DNA fragmentation of thymocytes, but decreased that of splenocytes. The administration of BITG increased the population of Thy1+ cell and CD4+CD8- cell in splenocytes. In addition, BITG decreased the production of NO and increased the lucigenin chemiluminescence from peritoneal macrophages. These results suggest that BITG enhances the specific-immune and nonspecific-immune response via increase of cell viability in splenocytes and of phagocytic activity in peritoneal macrophages.

모바일 결제 시스템 이용자들의 지속적 사용으로 이어지는 과정에서는 정서적, 인지적 반응 과정을 거친다. 본 연구에서는 모바일 결제 시스템의 외부요인(사회적, 시스템, 서비스 특성)이 정서적 반응(즐거움, 정서적 신뢰)과 인지적 반응(인지적 신뢰)이 지속적 사용에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 설문을 진행하였으며, SPSS와 PLS를 사용하여 구조적 모형을 검정하였다. 분석 결과 주요 외부요인이 정서적 반응과 인지적 반응에 영향을 주고, 인지적 반응은 지속적인 사용의도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

In this study, sliding response analysis of free standing structure such as multi-purpose nuclear spent fuel storage cask is peformed. The governing factors of sliding response are aspect ratio of structure and ground acceleration. The vertical acceleration component is very important factor in the sliding response of the structure. Based on the mathematical model, computer program is developed using direct forward integration method to predict the sliding response. Using the program, several parametric studies were made for sinusodial ground motion and for El Centre 1940 earthquake and Mexico 1973 earthquake. From the results, it is known that the frequency content and duration of strong motion affect the sliding of the structure.

This study attempted to analyze whether the government's regulatory innovation efforts affect the continued operation of new products and new service-based businesses, such as regulatory compliance and response efforts, despite the perception of regulatory difficulties as business barriers for firms in new industries. Previous studies on the impact of regulations on companies in new industries were a limit to obtaining implications for regulatory issues and characteristics of each field due to the simplification of regulatory indicators and the establishment of field integration. To compensate for this, this study focused on the field of AI and DATA services, and subdivided regulatory issues to indicate practical inconvenience as variables, and model fit and hypothesis verification were performed by applying Structural Equation Model analysis based on the survey results of related companies. As a result, in the field of AI and DATA services, "Perceived regulatory irrationality" and "Perceived government regulatory innovation efforts" significantly affect the "Regulatory environment satisfaction" of the regulated, and "Perceived regulatory irrationality" and "Regulatory environment satisfaction" affect "Regulatory response efforts for companies in new industries to continue their businesses." The significance of this study is that it conducted research on the factors affecting the continuity of business of companies in the AI and DATA service sector by linking the analysis of the impact relationship between satisfaction and continuous use intention, which have been mainly used in the "Policy Acceptance Model" and "IT service sector," to "efforts for companies to continue their business in a new industrial regulatory environment." In addition, by presenting a new empirical model for new industry regulations, it is expected to be meaningful as it can provide a research foundation that can obtain practical implications in related fields.

본 연구는 기업 환경에서 인적 판매(personal selling)의 적극적 활용이 고객의 반응에 대해 어떤 영향을 주는지에 대해 연구하고자 하였다. 특히, 정보화 시대의 영업사원의 서비스 공정성과 정보기술 활용이 서비스 접점에서 고객의 긍정적 반응 유발을 위해 어떤 역할을 수행하는지에 대해 밝히고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 정보기술 활용은 영업사원의 서비스공정성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 노트북 활용과 SMS(단문메시지)를 통한 영업사원의 정보기술 활용은 고객들에게 제공되는 서비스를 좀 더 용이하게 하며 영업사원이 고객 상담을 위해 철저한 준비와 객관적 절차를 서비스하고 있다는 것으로 입증되었다. 둘째, 영업사원의 서비스공정성 중에서 절차공정성과 상호작용공정성은 관계품질에 영향을 미치지 못하고 있으며 분배공정성은 관계품질에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 관계품질이 고객반응(구전행동, 재구매행동)에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인 하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 시사점을 제공하였으며, 또한 연구의 한계점과 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.

본 연구는 온라인 게임 내 괴롭힘 상황에서의 대응전략 유형에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대해 탐색적으로 조사하였다. 온라인 게임을 이용하는 만 19세 이상의 성인 남녀 416명을 대상으로 게임 내 괴롭힘 경험과 조직대응에 대한 기대 수준, 대응전략 유형을 조사한 결과, 여성 유저는 남성 유저에 비해 더 많은 괴롭힘을 경험하며, 특히 성적 괴롭힘은 주로 여성 유저들만을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 여성 유저들은 남성에 비해 성별가리기, 도움구하기, 회피, 미러링을 자주 선택하였으며, 남성은 자기비난을 더 많이 선택하였다. 구조방정식 모형을 이용해 괴롭힘 경험, 조직대응에 대한 기대, 성별이 각각의 대응전략 유형에 영향을 미치는 경로를 분석하였다. 성적 괴롭힘 경험은 모든 대응전략에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 조직대응에 대한 기대가 높을수록 유저들은 성별가리기보다는 도움구하기를 선택하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 향후 온라인 게임 내 괴롭힘에 관한 대처방안 마련의 가능성을 논의하였다.

Analysis of a structure for vertical vibration requires a lot of computational efforts because large number of degrees of freedom are generally involved in the dynamic response. Especially, when a structure is loaded with local vibration source, it may not be economical to model the whole structure to obtain the responses of specific members located near or far from the sources. In this study, substructure models have been used for analysis of local vibration An analysis of local vibration is performed for the case that the loaded point and the response point are located on the same floor. Other analysis is performed for the case that the loaded point and the response point are located on the different floor. In this case, if only the floors on which loaded and response points are located are modeled, response of substructure model is very different from that of full model. So, there should be a consideration that degrees of freedom of floors in addition to those of loaded and response floors are included to improve results of dynamic analysis. In this study, floors between loaded floor and response floor were modeled so that modeshapes which affect the response are presented well.
