The purpose of this study is to analyze the fashion images and the aesthetic characteristics of hand work imaged design. The 'hand work' has not only affected the contemporary life style but also the current fashion trend. The primary source of data has been a collection of recent books, news repots, and many articles from various kinds of mass media and fashion magazines since the year 2000. The results of this study can be summarized as follow. First, hand work imaged fashion design can be divided the background into three parts : post-materialism, aesthetics of slowness, personalize trend. Second, hand work imaged fashion design can be identified with the following images : folklore & craft image, second hand image, high touch image. Third, the aesthetic characteristics of hand work image reflects the concepts of sustainability and process communication.

본 연구에서는 한국, 중국, 일본의 전통 헤어스타일과 머리장식, 메이컵의 특성에 대하여 비교 정리해 보았다. 각 나라의 전통 헤어스타일 장식 등의 비교를 통하여 현대패션에 새롭게 해석된 오리엔탈 룩을 이해할 수 있다. 한국의 스타일은 소박하고 단순하며, 중국은 과장적이고 장식적이며 일본의 스타일은 당나라 장식의 영향과 로맨틱한 소녀적 꽃장식을 볼 수 있었다.

본 연구는 예웨이쥐가 제기한 '모노노아와레 미학'의 서정적 표현인 '사람에 대한 감동', '세상에 대한 감동', '자연에 대한 감동' 등 3단계를 기준으로 애니메이션 <천년여우>를 분석하였다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 예웨이쥐의 모노노아와레 미학적 표현의 ３단계 구성이 애니메이션 <천년여우>에서 어떻게 표현되었는지를 분석함으로써 일본 고전미학이 현대 일본애니메이션에서 폭넓게 응용되고 있는 것을 알 수 있고 또한 모노노아와레가 향후 일본 애니메이션 발전 방향을 제시하는 창조적 요인으로 작용할 수 있는 근거라고 제시하였다. 일본애니메이션 감독 곤 사토시는 일본 특유의 고전미와 애니메이션 요소를 융합, 일본의 민족적 문화 내용을 표현함으로써 관객들로 하여금 일본애니메이션 특징을 보다 깊이 이해할 수 있도록 하였다. 그리고 그의 대표작 중의 하나인 <천년여우>는 작품 속의 인물, 스토리, 사상내용, 장면 구성 등을 분석한 결과, 예웨이쥐가 제기한 모노노아와레 미학의 3단계를 통해 일본 고전미를 충분히 계승한 애니메이션 작품이다. 이러한 분석을 기반으로 일본의 고전적, 예술적 서정성을 통해 작품 속 농후한 일본 고전 색채와 다채로운 모노노아와레 미학을 확인하였으며 고전 미학적 전통이 현대는 물론 미래의 애니메이션 영화에도 창조적 요인으로 작용할 수 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

우리 가옥은 우리만의 특징과 철학을 담고 있다. 조선 후기의 양반가옥으로 권희문 가옥은 250여년의 기간을 두고 중수를 거쳐 현재에 이르게 되었다. 그러므로 이 가옥은 누대에 걸친 가옥 주인의 사상과 철학등의 심미이상을 보다 객관적으로 살펴볼 수 있다. 가옥 사랑채의 당호인 의왕서(嶷汪棲)는 이를 상징적으로 보여준다. '의(嶷)·왕(汪)'은 자연의 요소이며, '서(棲)'는 더불어 살아감을 상징한다. 이는 자연미학(自然美學)의 경계(境界)·인간미학(人間美學)의 경계(境界)이다. 자연미학(自然美學)의 경계(境界)는 의(嶷)·왕(汪)의 미학(美學)으로 은수(隱秀)하고 청려(淸麗)함이 특징이며, 인간미학(人間美學)의 경계(境界)는 서(棲)의 미학(美學)으로 응신(凝神)과 청기(淸氣)함이 특징이다. 이와 같이 권희문 가옥의 심미이상은 삶의 이상을 추구하고 지향함에 있다. 조선(朝鮮) 후기(後期)에 호남지방(湖南地方)에 조성된 다른 양반가옥의 심미경계도 이와 같은 심미 이상을 담고 있음을 유추하여 볼 수 있다.

The uniqueness of Bali is inseparable from its culture and religion. Embedded in the cultural environment, textiles become one of the most important aspects in Balinese life as it is used as a medium in sacred ceremonies. Balinese textiles are made and used under special conditions according to Hindu teaching. This paper aims to observe the aesthetics of Balinese sacred cloths that are seen in their techniques, colors, and patterns. Quantitative research included in this study is based on 261 images taken from literature review and Museums. Field research was done in eastern part of Bali. This paper has divided the era between ancient and modern times. The ancient era before the 20th century used textiles for religious purposes. Modern era started from the colonialization period by the Dutch in Bali during 1910-1942 added economic values to the textiles. The independence of Indonesia in 1945 created Balinese textiles as a unifying value as one of the identity of Indonesia. The techniques are classified as Weft Ikat, Double Ikat, weave with Supplementary Weft, and Prada. The colors of the ancient era are 'fixed' with the restriction of the colors red, black, and white. The colors of modern era are 'festive' with combination of yellow, green, blue, and purple. The characteristics of patterns are geometric, natural, human, and animal groups. Field research in this paper observes Klungkung Village that produces Endek and Songket cloths. The aesthetics of Endek cloth is 'royal statement' and Songket cloth is a 'cultural heritage.' Nusa Penida Island produces Cepuk cloths and is a 'protective guardian.' Satria sub-district produces Prada cloths and appears to be an 'opulence charm.' Lastly, Tenganan Village produces Geringsing cloth which possesses a 'legendary legacy.' To sum up, Balinese sacred cloth essence is a balance of tradition and modern.

최근 들어 잘못된 보행 습관과 생활환경으로 인한 족부 질환자들이 늘어나고 있다. 신발디자인 특성에 따른 경증 족부질환 환자가 정형 신발 구매시 만족도와 구매 의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴본다. 신발 디자인 특성은 기능성, 편의성, 심미성으로 구성하였다. 심미성이 정형 신발 구매 시 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 기능성과 편의성의 요소가 영향이 적더라도 심미성이 높다면 구매의도와 만족도에 영향을 준다. 경증 족부질환별 사회활동 참여 빈도와 착용 목적에 따라 디자인 또한 다양한 요소들이 요구된다. 연구 결과를 통해 알아본 정형 신발디자인 특성 요인을 더욱 보완하여 경증 족부질환 환자들이 일상생활에서 착용할 수 있는 유용한 정형 신발 디자인 개발과 현실적인 활용과 만족으로 이어지길 기대한다.

This study is to analyze fashion phenomenon according to the concept of the characteristics of freewheeling to explain the de-constructive, eclectic, avant-garde tendencies in Contemporary Fashion. This study is to elicit the aesthetic characteristics through 400 pieces of visual data analysis from 2001S/S to 2011F/W that have the characteristics of freewheeling, nontechnical experiments do away with the classical form. The oriental ideas include the thoughts of different tastes that break the stereotypes according to the Western values and the pursuit of unconventional beauty. These also insist that everything in the world including human-being, nature and creation is not divided into two equal parts, and even beauty and ugliness originated from one. This study is to find the possibility of interpreting oriental aesthetics with open concepts that transcends the boundaries of full availability, unlike the Western values that accommodate the relative concept of the pursuit of diversity. Therefore, integrated and systematic approaches of oriental aesthetics that place much value on the coexistence of antithetic concepts are needed to understand the ambiguity of complexity and diversity in Contemporary fashion design.

Affinity between a creative and experimental fashion design and a Fashion Make-up expressed in John Galliano's Collection was analysed to examine the harmony between Beauty and Fashion. This approach may establish the link between the Fashion Make-up analysed in view of Aesthetics and aesthetic characteristics of a fashion design that a fashion designer pursues. The Fashion Make-up plays a significant role to express a relevance to a design spirit because it is a visual text that a audience faces easily in a collection leading the style. Under the proposition that collection is understood as a popular culture as the fashion is preferential and popular, the Fashion Make-up can be analysed in the aspect of aesthetics. The characteristics reflecting the popularity of popular culture, such as the comic, the erotic, the fantastic and the sentimental are used to analyse and interpret the Fashion Make-up. The fashion design and Fashion Make-up with one characteristics or combined ones showing uniqueness in the popular culture are compared and analyzed.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the trends and characteristics of the anti-aesthetic shapes have been expressed in Fashion Show Make-up from 1995 to 2003 and to enlarge the possibility of expressions through various formative elements and to anticipate the prospect of the Make-up in the future. Anti-aesthetics means the beginning of criticism that destroy the system of modernism and the anti-aesthetic shapes in Fashion Show Make-up have been distorted, deformed, destroyed through asymmetrical arrangement or abnormal transformation or extreme reduction or omission and so on. It means that is to enlarge the range of expressions through a new interpretation. The anti-aesthetic characteristics in Fashion Show Make-up can be summarized as Avant-garde, Satire, De-construction, Poverty, inhumanity and most of shapes show experimental techniques in unlimited method. The differences at the turning point in 21C is to increase the experimental attempts such as informal and collage and graphic Make-up and so forth.
