The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation of desire for aesthetic surgery and clothing attitude of female with their body satisfaction, need, and self-esteem. Subjects were 813 females of 10's to 40's living in Daejeon Metropolitan City and Gongju City, Chungchungnamdo. Results from this research revealed that the correlation of desire for aesthetic surgery with body satisfaction was negative so that female satisfying one's body shape didn't want to have aesthetic surgery. However, aesthetics and sexual attractiveness of clothing had positive correlations with body satisfaction. It was also shown that the need and self-esteem of female affected directly on the desire for aesthetic surgery and the pursuit of clothing aesthetics. Women with higher need for exhibition and dominance were not only concerned about the elevation of their appearance through their clothing but also recognized the value of modifying their appearance through aesthetic surgery. Women with higher self-esteem were interested in the elevation of their appearance through clothing, but the other hand, they showed negative attitude toward modifying their appearance via aesthetic surgery. This result revealed the fact that women with higher self-esteem had a tendency to keep the traditional sense of value and as a result, showed negative attitude toward the aesthetic surgery.

Subcultural style is the center of subcultural identity and the clothes and adornments are the most visible symbol of membership. The Goth subculture has associated tastes in music, aesthetics, and fashion. The style symbolized the strong subjective subcultural identity held by most Goths and acted as the practical basis to demonstrate their commitment to the subculture. This study investigates the aesthetic and the style of Goth subculture in its heyday of 1980s which has continued to affect mainstream fashion and culture since its birth. In order to inquire the concept of subculture and its style, this study executes literature survey as well as investigates the images of street style magazines to analyze the visual elements. The stylistic and the aesthetic characteristics of Goth subcultural style analyzed in this study are grouped into four categories as follows: first, Victoriana, which embodies the fear of death and the nostalgia for the past using Victorian morning dresses and corsets, second, vampirism, in that some Goths who are fascinated by vampires are costumed in vampire figures to advocate diabolism and decadence, third, sexual ambiguity of male Goths which emphasizes feminine appearance in the pursuit of androgyny, and fourth, sexual fetish of female Goths which represents aggressive eroticism utilizing fetish paraphernalia.

BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) supplemented the minimum area problem required when installing existing solar modules. However, in order to apply it to buildings, research was needed to increase the aesthetics of solar modules and use them as a design. Accordingly, modules with color applied to the entire surface of the photovoltaic module were being developed, but there was a disadvantage of low power. Therefore, by dividing and bonding the cell strips, it was possible to improve the output power by applying a shingled technology in which other divided cells overlap in a busbar region where light couldn't be received. Shingled technology was advantageous for color modules because the front busbar part that degrades aesthetics was removed. In this research, four color shingled solar modules (Green, Yellow, Blue, Gray) were manufactured and power degradation was analyzed by measuring transmittance and reflectance. Gray color had 80.83% transmittance, which was 31.31% higher than Yellow, resulting in a power difference of 4.45 W.

Purpose: This study aimed to describe the characteristics of mobile applications (apps) related to pregnancy in South Korea and evaluate their quality. Methods: We conducted a systematic search for pregnancy-related apps available in Korea in two app stores as of April 29, 2022. The quality of apps was assessed using the Korean translation of the Mobile Application Rating Scale for objective quality with four subdomains (engagement, function, aesthetics, and information) and four items for subjective quality. Results: In total, 163 apps were selected and reviewed. Both the objective and subjective quality of the apps were found to be desirable, with scores exceeding 3 out of 5 (range, 34-82). All subdomain scores in the objective quality assessment were also desirable. Among the four objective quality subdomains, aesthetics received the highest scores, followed by information, function, and engagement. In terms of subjective quality, the scores for a comprehensive overall evaluation, continuous use, and recommendation exceeded 3 out of 5, with the exception of payment. Only a small number of apps (n=4, 2.9%) were backed by a reliable authority, such as an expert review. Significant differences were observed in the objective quality of apps across different content categories (F=3.86, p=.003). Conclusion: Most pregnancy-related apps had desirable levels of objective and subjective quality. However, app content experts seldom provide reviews. It is crucial for nurses to recommend apps to expectant mothers that offer dependable content, regularly updated with the latest information.

The purpose of this study si focused on Futurism style and contemporary fashion in the 20th century, by researching the Giacomo Balla, Fortunato Depero, Tullio Crali, Erenesto Thayate characteristics fashion design. The results of this study are following as : The general traits of Futurism style are classified with aesthetics, formative characteristics. First, aesthetic characteristics are based on H. Bergson's life-phylosophy and F. Nietzche's art theory. Second, formative characteristics is Dynamism. Futurism Dynamism are classified with psychological Dynamism and physical Dynamism. Futurism trends in the costume : first, dynamism in fashion design, second, asymmetrical balance, third, formativeness, forth, technology, fifth, anti-traditionalism. Dynamism are expressed textile, pattern and costuem shape in contemporary dress. Asymmetrical balance are expressed costume silhouette shape and framework through the geometrical asymmetrical balance. Formativeness are agree with Paco Rabanne's fashion design expressed body and movement and phychological world of human through the secondly fabric. Technology are expressed new mechanical dynamism in used technology art and new fashion material by metal. The last, anti-traditionalism is recognized new value and idea in fashion.

In order to understand the characteristics of the Japanese conception of space, we examined the characteristics of Japanese human geography, schools of thought, and aesthetics through the examinations on relevant documents. In addition, we reorganized such cultural backgrounds in relation to the Japanese perception of space, extracting the fundamental principles and elements of Japanese space composition and examining their significance. We propose a structural framework for understanding and analyzing Japanese space based on the reciprocal relationship and meaning among the various elements of Japanese space. Using this analytical framework, we studied the representative works of Japanese interior space, concluding in an analysis of the expressive characteristics of the Japanese notion of space.

If we are to analyze certain chromatic phenomena, we must first know what “color” is； we must identify its essential characteristics in an effort to achieve a more rational comprehension of visual phenomena in general. What is difficult for most observers to grasp is that seeing colors is no different than seeing shapes. This researcher has sorted out the development process of death aesthetics contained in human art through advanced research. This research is a follow-up study of related research, which studies the aesthetic meaning of death in Alexander McQueen's fashion works. This study first classifies the aesthetic characteristics of death, and then analyzes and sorts out the aesthetics of death in Alexander McQueen's clothing works based on this. The results of this study are as follows: first, the aesthetic manifestations of death are divided into three categories: reproducibility, symbolic and religious. Among them, the representation of reproducibility includes the representation of real objects and the representation of virtual objects, and the symbolic performance includes two types of external performance and internal performance. Second, in Alexander McQueen's works, the reproducibility of death was mainly reflected by virtual stage scenes and costumes. Thirdly, the symbolic death is not only reflected in the skeletons and blood etc. directly related to the death of the body, but also in the various emotions and psychological states caused by the death. Fourth, the religious nature of death was represented in Alexander McQueen's works through such representative things as crosses and religious stories.

Nowadays, the increasing number of religious travelers seeking inner healing has led to the popularity of Buddhist 'temple stays', Protestant and Catholic 'retreats' as alternative vacations. However, unlike Buddhist temples, which are inculturated, Christian retreat centers follow the formula of general recreational facilities and lack an overall framework due to relying on sponsorship. This study attempts to design appropriate outdoor environments for a retreat by reflecting 'theological aesthetics' based on the process of 'Spiritual Exercises', the main method of retreat. First, as the Spiritual Exercises are often described as an 'inner pilgrimage', the images and theological aesthetics experienced in prayer themes were examined. Next, the characteristics of the spaces required for the facility were analyzed, and the composition of religious spaces was proposed. Also the landscape resources of the site were investigated, and the retreatants' behavior to derive spatial preferences was analyzed. Overall, outdoor spaces were planned to induce a shift in consciousness and broaden the spectrum of the retreatants' experience through a physical environment consistent with the mechanism of prayer. This study aimed to implement theological aesthetics by selecting a retreat center with high potential for landscape resources. As a result, it was possible to reveal the 'poetic landscape' to effectively evoke images during 'contemplative prayer', and to support religious experience. The significance of this study lied in deriving various design vocabularies for outdoor spaces of religious facilities.

This study is on the aesthetic characteristics of Balenciaga design succeeded to by Nicolas Ghesquiere, and tried to understand his pursuing brand's new design concept and aesthetics. The three key characteristics of Balenciaga designed by Nicolas Ghesquiere are Retrospecitvness, Eclecticism, Deconstruciton. First, Balenciaga looks retrospective sense through reinterpreting tradition. Nicolas created a new sense of expression by mixing his proper instinct with Balenciaga's original properties, historical components of the past western dress, and various design elements of assistants who used to work in Balenciaga. Second, Balenciaga expresses uncertain meaning by compromising between contrast and synthesis among the past and the future, the males and the females, simple and ornament, or different styles. Third, Nicolas's experimental and outsider-oriented view of Deconstruction through reorienting of thought is considered a try for a new formative concept as a designer who is not limited by general rules.
