Purpose: The purpose of the study was to interpretate Caper's view of the aesthetical approach to nursing, to discover problems of her arguments, and to ultimately expand the horizon of the aesthetical thinking of nursing. Method: By means of the critical interpretation of Caper's paper, problems of her arguments were discovered. This then was suggested was the proper way of the aesthetical approach to nursing. Result: Caper's arguments of aesthetics were seen to be confused, regarding the pattern of the nursing art and the relationship between aesthetical knowing and practical art, and to have no the nursing's perspective as moral art. The proper paradigm for the distinct thinking of the nursing aesthetics could be offered here through applying some aesthetical theories as follows; a mode of aesthetical knowing could be characterized as emphatical awareness in relationship between nurse and client, and a practical art of nursing understood as moral art in sense of the expression of the human dignity. Conclusion: This study suggested fundamental theme for the proper aesthetical approach to nursing in view of the aesthetical knowing and the practical art. The horizon of the aesthetical thinking in nursing can be expended through the inquiry into aesthetical theories which offer theoretical the base for nursing as an art.

The approach for designing Church furniture has to be different from that of mass production. church furniture has to be harmonized with an interior space and a church building. Since each church has different pursues and emphases on doctrines, a designer must understand the contents of Holly Bible and uses them as symbolic images. This study analyzes the characteristics and the meanings of patterns and colors in church furniture in general, which embraced to a design direction. There are two different situations on a death in Holy Bible which is the Resurrection and the Gate in heaven that would enter after a death. In this study, based on these two as sources of inspiration, furniture design emphasizes aesthetical uses of sources and Korean images. With technical drawings, scaled models, and prototypes, this study searches for a new direction for Korean church furniture and suggests a distinctive church space.

This paper reviews the relationships between diverse ecological design strategies and competing conceptions of ecological approach in place making. It focuses conceptual trends of what we categorize a building "green" and outlines a social constructive perspective on the development of sustainable architecture. This study classifies seven logics of ecological design-eco-technical, eco-aesthetical, eco-social, eco-medical, eco-renewable, eco-cultural, eco-central - which have their roots in competing philosophies of environmentalism. In my analysis of the logics concerning sustainable architecture, the adapted and incorporated technology from high-tech to low-tech levels is a key issue. These points lead us to propose a way that each logic configures the technological approaches and alternative visions of sustainable places. This paper discusses the implications of the competent nature of plural ecological design perspectives for architectural education, practice, and researches.

현대미학의 논의는 뉴미디어의 등장으로 인한 예술과의 상호 관계, 즉 매체에 대한 새로운 미학적 해석으로 시작된다. 과거 선형적 사고체계의 문자시대와 비교할 때 매체는 반드시 현존을 증거하는 수단에 불과하였으나 이제 그것은 디지털 미디어 환경에 있어서 그 자체로서 하나의 창조적 행위이며 그 안에 미적 관념 자체를 내포하고 있는 역동체인 것이다. 매체 미학의 대표적인 이론가인 볼츠는 새로운 매체 시대의 예술은 '이미지의 복제'가 아니라 '이미지의 변형'이 주요한 관건이며, 이 예술형식은 대상에 대한 이미지를 전달하는 것이 아닌 그 자체만이 존재하는 대상 없는 이미지가 중심을 이루어지므로 결국 비선형적인 사고체계가 지배하는 기술적 환경에서의 창의성이란 선택적 테크닉의 한 효과라고 주장한다. 본 논문은 컴퓨터 환경의 레이어(layer)가 그러한 이미지 변형의 핵심적인 기술중심의 예라고 상정하고 위에서 언급된 매체 미학적 관점들을 검증하고자 했으며, 나아가 작업자인 디자이너의 창작과정에 그것이 어떤 직접적인 영향을 미치고 있는가를 밝히고자 시도하였다. 이는 새로운 시대의 미학적 개념은 새로운 미디어가 지배하는 '디자인의 과학'으로 정의되어야 한다고 하는 볼츠의 매체미학과의 조우를 통해서 디자인의 학문으로서의 이론적 토대를 확장시키고자 하는 노력의 일환으로 말할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to present the cognition of speculative aesthetics in the architectural space. Architectural space as the subject of the aesthetical study has been ignored such a long period though it should be centered of the whole architectural theory. Even it has not been dealt with independently but just only as a part of aesthetic or artistic field. Also it is also true that academic approach to the architectural space as per the aesthetic recognition has not been done so satisfactorily. The transcendental subjectivity as the aesthetic cognitive viewpoint of the architectural space means speculative aesthetics and the understands the essential meaning of the function and composition The conclusions of this study are as follows : The formalistic cognitive concepts including organic functional space between the whole and the part and anti-cubic synchronous space are included in the architecture of the speculative cognition, and finally the contextual cognitive concepts including the restoring analogical space of the in-depth constituent factors and associated centripetal spaces.

This study is to find the interpretation of Korean aesthetics with emotional, relative, synthetic thinking in the ambiguity of characteristics of multi-culturalism and ambivalence in contemporary beauty design. Beauty design incorporates makeup and hair design to complete the total images with clothing in fashion shows and Korean aesthetics based on Korean religion and art that include the symbolism of humor, irregularity, moderation, harmony, unification, and emptiness. This study analyzes 864 works of make-up and hair design from 2001 S/S to 2009 F/W to understand the beauty design to summarize the natural, eclectic, classic, poor, humor, and decadent tendencies. The characteristics of aesthetics sense of Beauty Design are summarized as artless naturalism, integrate pluralism, de-constructive deviation, and temperate poverty.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents of environment aesthetics for environment education. This study analyzes in accordance with theory of the environment aesthetics of Berleant, A. The results of this study are as follows. The result of analysis the contents of Berleant's environment aesthetics, in his philosophy of environment aesthetics the environment is defined to be inclusive of all and the unity of human and environment is stressed on more than in the current prevailing philosophy of environment education. And environment aesthetics propose the most part of theory and methodology suited for environment education, but, do not mention about a definite theory of 'Skill'.

The study on architecture can be started with the aesthetic attitude which cognizes it as the art of the space. Architectural space as the subject of the aesthetical study, however, has been ignored such a long period though it should be centered of the whole architectural theory. Even it has not been dealt with independently but just only as a part of aesthetic or artistic field. Also it is true that academic approach to the architectural space as per the aesthetic cognition has not been done so satisfactorily. This study, therefore, aims at prescribing compositional scope from aesthetic cognition of architecture understanding the rational function, mechanic structure, and artistic beauty by man's subject standard of judgement as per the space, the special sphere of architecture. For the absolves, the architectural space in this study is not approached as the spatial art with the meaning of being included the arts general, but with the meaning of intrinsic peculiarity of architecture, based both in practicality of scientific concept and arts of the aesthetic notiov. In order words, the essence of architecture can be prescribed as the architectural realities as the functional, formal and symbolical space not simply the spatial art, and its real but aesthetic meaning can be cognized aesthetically.

영상콘텐츠 디자인 분야에서 합리적이고 이성적인 미의 구현에 있어서 일반적으로 수행하고 있는 구체적인 실체가 있는 가시적 영역의 디자인에서 벗어나 탈물질화 시대의 가상 공간인 비가시적 영역의 연구를 통하여 가시적 디자인으로 구상해내고, 전자공간에서 만들어지는 영상그래픽 들의 내포 의미와 새로운 감각을 얻을 수 있는 계기를 마련하고자 한다. 특히 물질 사회에서는 전자기파와 같은 눈에 보이지 않는 현상은 공간에 실존함에도 불구하고 개념적인 대상으로 다루어지곤 했는데 이러한 기존의 제한된 관점에서 벗어나 비가시적인 영역에 대한 디자인의 물리적ㆍ시적ㆍ미학적 경험에 대한 디자인 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이러한 이론적 근거로 프랙탈디자인 분야에서 사운드와 리듬, 칼라와 이미지의 적용으로 인한 새로운 디자인에 대한 가능성을 확보하고자 한다.

In this study, to study the aesthetic properties of the Italy fashion, the internal fashion contents are defined according to the cultural characteristics of Italy and based on the definition, the external features are investigated. The cultural characteristic was analyzed based on the reference literatures on the Italy culture. The aesthetical properties of the contemporary Italy fashion can be analyzed as follows: ${\cdot}$ Functionalism is a feature showing the Italian cultural environment where the genuine humanism is retained. It enables the practical designs by applying details and materials that wouldn't put a limit to the movement of the human body. ${\cdot}$ Naturalism focuses on the natural beauty of the human body without any artificial forms or exaggerated ornaments. Natural texture or materials are used to express the human body itself, or to emphasize the natural aesthetic effects flowing with the human body. ${\cdot}$ Localism is the expression of folk spirit affected by the natural environment. It expresses local atmosphere by unique craftsmanship in material, pattern, color and details. Based on this result, the aesthetic properties of the contemporary France fashion, examined through ${\Iceil}$A Cultural Approach to the Aesthetic Characteristic of the 20th Century French Fashion${\rfloor}$ and those of the contemporary Italy fashion are compared.
