국가수준 학업성취도 평가에서 중학생의 성취수준별 특징 분석: 화학 영역을 중심으로 (Analysis of Middle School Student's Characteristics of Each Educational Achievement Level in the National Assessment of Educational Achievement: Focused on Chemistry)

  • 우리나라 중학교 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 실시한 2009, 2010년 국가수준 학업성취도 평가 결과를 이용하여 학생들의 성취수준별 특징을 조사하였다. 성취수준별 대표 문항 분석을 통하여 다음과 같은 내용을 알았다. 우수학력 학생들은 현상의 변화를 물질의 특징과 모형을 함께 이용하여 설명할 수 있고, 보통학력 학생들은 단순한 상황에 한정하여 모형을 활용하여 현상을 설명할 수 있으며, 기초학력 학생들은 모형의 의미를 이해하지 못하여 물질 현상을 모형을 이용하여 설명하지 못했다.

  • An ultrasonic method is developed for the measurement of the two-phase mixture level in the reactor vessel or steam generator. The ultrasonic method is selected among the several non¬nuelear two-phase mixture level measurement methods through two steps of selection procedure. A commercial ultrasonic level measurement method is modified for application into the high temperature, pressure, and other conditions. The calculation method of the ultrasonic velocity is modified to consider the medium as the homogeneous mixture of air and steam. and to be applied into the high temperature and pressure conditions. The cross-correlation technique is adopted as a detection method to reduce the effects of the attenuation and the dif.JUsed reflection caused by suface fluctuation. The waveguides are developed to reduce the loss of echo and to remove the effects of obstructs. The present experimental study shows that the developed ultrasonic method measures the two-phase mixture level more accurately than the conventional methods do.

중환자실에서 전문간호사가 제공하는 교육상담의 국민건강보험 급여화에 대한 일반인의 인식조사 연구 (Public's Perception of Reimbursement for Advanced Practice Nurses' Education and Counseling in Intensive Care Units by the National Health Insurance)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the public's perception of reimbursement for the education and counseling services provided to advanced practice nurses in intensive care units. Method : This was a secondary data analysis study. The original data were collected utilizing an online panel. The sample comprised 615 individuals aged between 19 and 49 years nationwide. The study variables included the public's perception of reimbursement for education and counseling services, age, gender, education level, income, and health status. Variables such as past experience of being admitted to an intensive care unit by self, family, or relatives and the recognition of advanced practice nurses were also examined. Results : The mean of the perception score was 3.15 on a 4-point scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 4 (strongly agree). Among the participants, 89.2% answered "somewhat agreed" or "strongly agreed" to the question about the education and counseling services being covered by the National Health Insurance. Moreover, education level, past experience of being admitted to an intensive care unit by self, family, or relatives, and recognition of advanced practice nurses were significantly associated with the perception score. Conclusion : Efforts should be made to publicize the need for the education and counseling services that are provided to advanced practice nurses in intensive care units.

보험심사 전문 간호사의 직무표준 개발 (The Development Job Standards for Advanced Health Insurance Review Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study is to develop job standards in order to propose proper job level of the advanced nurse practitioners and apply the results to the work and enhance the expertism. Method: This study is a methodical study. The validity was examined by using the content validity index(CVI). Result: The pre-items of job standards for advanced health insurance review nurses were established and the final job standards comprising of 12 standards, 46 criteria, 92 indicators, 418 activities were determined after the examination by the advisory group. The validity of the job standards were examined for two times by the seven professionals. The relevance of the modified job standards was examined by the working level employees above the assistant manager position working in the general hospitals and the result was 93.14% relevance. The job standards comprising of 12 standards, 46 criteria, 89 indicator and 409 activities were developed. Conclusions: By the development of the job standards, it is expected to prove that advanced health insurance review nurses are the most suitable professionals for dealing with medical affairs such as management and propriety evaluation of medical expenses while defining the roles of advanced health insurance review nurses.

Relation Based Bayesian Network for NBNN

  • Under the conditional independence assumption among local features, the Naive Bayes Nearest Neighbor (NBNN) classifier has been recently proposed and performs classification without any training or quantization phases. While the original NBNN shows high classification accuracy without adopting an explicit training phase, the conditional independence among local features is against the compositionality of objects indicating that different, but related parts of an object appear together. As a result, the assumption of the conditional independence weakens the accuracy of classification techniques based on NBNN. In this work, we look into this issue, and propose a novel Bayesian network for an NBNN based classification to consider the conditional dependence among features. To achieve our goal, we extract a high-level feature and its corresponding, multiple low-level features for each image patch. We then represent them based on a simple, two-level layered Bayesian network, and design its classification function considering our Bayesian network. To achieve low memory requirement and fast query-time performance, we further optimize our representation and classification function, named relation-based Bayesian network, by considering and representing the relationship between a high-level feature and its low-level features into a compact relation vector, whose dimensionality is the same as the number of low-level features, e.g., four elements in our tests. We have demonstrated the benefits of our method over the original NBNN and its recent improvement, and local NBNN in two different benchmarks. Our method shows improved accuracy, up to 27% against the tested methods. This high accuracy is mainly due to consideration of the conditional dependences between high-level and its corresponding low-level features.

Multi-Level 양자화 기법을 사용한 BTC 영상 압축 알고리즘 (BTC Algorithm Utilizing Multi-Level Quantization Method for Image Compression)

  • BTC 영상 압축은 간단하고, 하드웨어 구현이 용이하여, LCD의 오버드라이브에 필요한 영상 압축 기법으로 널리 사용되어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 압축 손실을 줄이기 위한 방법으로, MLQ-BTC (Multi-Level Quantization BTC) 알고리즘을 제안한다. MLQ-BTC 알고리즘은 입력 영상을 Quasi 8-level BTC 방법과 Advanced 2-level BTC 방법으로 압축 및 복원하여, 압축손실이 적은 알고리즘을 선택하는 과정이다. 시뮬레이션으로 기존의 BTC 알고리즘과 PSNR 및 압축비율의 비교를 통해서, 제안한 알고리즘의 효율성을 확인하였다.

  • Although the role of ${\alpha}$-synuclein aggregation on Parkinson's disease is relatively well known, the physiological role and the regulatory mechanism governing the expression of ${\alpha}$-synuclein are unclear yet. We recently reported that ${\alpha}$-synuclein is expressed and secreted from cultured astrocytes. In this study, we investigated the effect of valproic acid (VPA), which has been suggested to provide neuroprotection by increasing ${\alpha}$-synuclein in neuron, on ${\alpha}$-synuclein expression in rat primary astrocytes. VPA concentration-dependently increased the protein expression level of ${\alpha}$-synuclein in cultured rat primary astrocytes with concomitant increase in mRNA expression level. Likewise, the level of secreted ${\alpha}$-synuclein was also increased by VPA. VPA increased the phosphorylation of Erk1/2 and JNK and pretreatment of a JNK inhibitor SP600125 prevented the VPA-induced increase in ${\alpha}$-synuclein. Whether the increased ${\alpha}$-synuclein in astrocytes is involved in the reported neuroprotective effects of VPA awaits further investigation.

  • This study tries to develop the models of measuring the level of product availability accommodated for features of specific customers dividing customers into VIP customers and general customers. Functions of costs that the models are composed of are cost of holding safety stock and cost of lost opportunities. The existing model of measuring the level of product availability which focused on cost of holding safety stock for VIP customers should be reinforced by considering cost of lost opportunities caused by general customers' quitting trades with a company. This study tries to present realistic solutions for problems in making decisions related to the total inventory. This study concludes that the model of the level of product availability meeting general customers' needs is more efficient according to increasing of a latent demand of the general customers who quit trades with a company and the cost of lost opportunities.

원전 증기 발생기 수위 제어를 위한 자기 동조 제어기 설계 (Design of pole-assignment self-tuning controller for steam generator water level in nuclear power plants)

  • This paper discusses the maintenance of the water level of steam generators at its programmed value. The process, the water level of a steam generator, has the nonminimum phase property. So, it causes a reverse dynamics called a swell and shrink phenomenon. This phenomenon is severe in a low power condition below 15 %, in turn makes the start-up of the power plant too difficult. The control algorithm used here incorporates a pole-assignment scheme into the minimum variance strategy and we use a parallel adaptation algorithm for the parameter estimation, which is robust to noises. As a result, the total control system can keep the water level constant during full power by locating closed-loop poles appropriately, although the process has the characteristics of high complexity and nonlinearity. Also, the extra perturbation signals are added to the input signal such that the control system guarantee persistently exciting. In order to confirm the control performance of a proposed pole-assignment self-tuning controller we perform a computer simulation in full power range.

Assessment of the Near Real-Time Validation for the AQUA Satellite Level-2 Observation Products

  • We developed a Near Real-Time Validation System (NRVS) for the Level-2 Products of AQUA Satellite. AQUA satellite is the second largest project of Earth Observing System (EOS) mission of NASA. This satellite provides the information of water cycle of the entire earth with many different forms. Among its products, we have used five kinds of level-2 geophysical parameters containing rain rate, sea surface wind speed, skin surface temperature, atmospheric temperature profile, and atmospheric humidity profile. To use these products in a scientific purpose, reasonable quantification is indispensable. In this paper we explain the near real-time validation system process and its detail algorithm. Its simulation results are also analyzed in a quantitative way. As reference data set in-situ measured meteorological data which are periodically gathered and provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) is processed. Not only site-specific analysis but also time-series analysis of the validation results are explained and detail algorithms are described.
