The purpose of this study were to develop a financial management educational program for college students and to evaluate the effect of this program. In order to achieve this aims, a fundamental work to select the educational contents was preceded with a survey of learners' needs, preceding studies. After choice of educational contents, learners' demands on how to manage the educational program was executed in advance. The participants in this study were 500 students, resulting in 460 with usable data. Second, reflection the above mentioned educational contents, a concrete financial management educational program was built. This program consists of 9 domains: financial planning, careers and income, consumer spending, credit use and Credit cards, Managing Taxes, investment planning, risk management and insurance, retirement and estate planning, contribution. The participants for this program implementation were 68 students. Third, to evaluate the effects of the financial management educational program, paired t-test was conducted in using the SPSS package. The result suggested that financial management educational program has a positive effect on financial knowledge, financial attitude and financial management behavior. Several implications based on the findings were suggested.

One of the most important issues in a small and medium sized enterprise (SME) is to identify how to apply IT to the organization so that it maximizes the effectiveness of IT. In general, a large company mainly plans to adopt, implement, and stimulate a new IT in a viewpoint of advanced IT system's capability for maximizing the effectiveness of IT. However, SME requires a totally different approach since SME's situation is different from a large enterprise's one. In this study, we investigate several factors that have an influence on the successful IT adoption and implementation of a SME through the case of Hwacheon. We also find out that CEO's support, CEO-initiating strategic meeting, IT development ability, and organizational compatibility in the introduction stage of IT are relatively more important than those in the implementation stage of IT, whereas IT flexibility, system quality, training and support, overcoming organizational resistance and performance improvement in the implementation stage of IT play critical roles in the IS success. Our results show that the advance of IT may not guarantee the success of IT implementation.

Objectives : This study investigated the effects of teaching English medical journals to traditional Korean medical students as a way of integrated curriculum, focusing on evidence-based traditional Korean medicine (EBKM) in the light of globalization of traditional Korean Medicine. Methods : 232 students (l16 1st year and t 16 2nd year) were asked to complete a questionnaire at the end of the course in order to validate the course's efficacy on acquisition and utilization of the latest medical knowledge as well as change of attitude toward English itself. Results : The courses were very useful in reducing discomfort toward English journals and to applying the latest medical knowledge to academic reports, clinical practices, and finally to establish abilities for EBKM. The 1st year students who took the courses for two semesters consecutively showed more significant satisfaction than the 2nd year students with only one semester. Conclusion : The findings suggest that English medical journals are an essential curriculum f3r the advance of EBKM and globalization of traditional Korean Medicine and therefore developing adequate textbooks, teaching methods, and quality of instructors should be considered for successful achievements.

This study discusses the prior researches on concepts regarding the analysis of IT investment effect in an organization as proposed from academic and professional perspectives. In addition, we looked at the possible issues that fan arise from implementation stage based on the example of development of IT investment management process at Company A. This study makes contribution in examining the potential issues and their relevant solutions when implementing the management process/system of If investment based on the case of Company A. At Company A, there is much knowledge that Is being adopted directly from suggested principles of the academic and professional fields as employee needs and requirements are met in advance. But, there is customized knowledge as well in order to best describe the specific situation. We partly try to distinguish the concepts and realities by understanding the core issues involving the IT investment management process/system and make practical suggestions for the companies that plan to implement the efficient IT investment management process/system in the future.

The security control can be defined as all control actions and counter-measures to return the operating state of the system to a normal state. In an emergency state, fault clearing and/or overload suppression is enabled as a security control in order to prevent the extension of the fault. In the alert state, counter-measures should be set up in advance for the dangerous points of the system operation in drder to protect the system from expected accidents. In the normal state, the routine scenario is conducted to analyze system state. In the decision-making of the classification of system states, the heuristic and experienced knowledge can be well applied and thus application of expert system to this area attains considerable achievements. In this study, it is attempted to extract empirical rules through heuristic analysis and establish the knowledge base. Finally, the incorporation method with the conventional program packages in proposed. The expert system is designed to select an appropriate method and to perform the corresponding package. The input data can be automatically set up by using the data base. The computation results can be automatically added to the data base.

The purpose of this study is to conduct classroom-friendly learning activity for sustainable development and to find out the learner's understanding level of experiences on sustainable development. The results of this study could be summarized as follows. First, classroom-friendly learning activity for sustainable development which is focused on the sustainable flea market is concerned about enhancing learner's understanding sustainable development. It could be emphasized a viewpoint of sustainable development, and a possibility of expanding learner's experience in dealing with sustainable development. Second, this study shows also a application of the teaching & learning strategy for classroom-friendly learning for sustainable development. Three different group of pre-service teachers were participated in sustainable flea marker activity. It is considered to make the student be able to catch up core knowledge and value of sustainable development during the classroom-friendly learning activity. In conclusion, this research asserts that classroom-friendly learning activity for sustainable development could make students improve the knowledge and value of sustainable development. It is emphasized to advance education for sustainable development as a new teaching & learning strategy.

The study determined the access, skills and constraints towards the usage of ICT among barangay officials. A complete enumeration technique was used due to the small size of the population. A total of 121 barangay secretaries and barangay treasurers comprised the study respondents. The findings revealed that most of barangay officials have access to personal computer at home and in the office using their own mobile data and office internet connectivity. With the support from the Local Government Unit (LGU), it was found that most of the respondents are advance and proficient in computer usage. As constraints to ICT usage, the study respondents still experienced slow internet bandwidth that makes connection and communication weak along with the low income status. Consequently, it was found that there were no significant differences in terms of skills and constraints among barangay secretaries and barangay treasurers towards using ICT. It can be concluded that study respondents prefer to use office computer to access the information they need due to the convenience and availability of resources. The study respondents were competent enough to handle their job well but listed slow internet and low financial resources may hamper their ICT usage. Research implications were also offered.

The current study explores small corpora of critiques written by Chinese and non-Chinese university students and how strategies used by these writers compare with high-rated L1 students. Data collection includes three small corpora of student writing; 20 student critiques in 2017, 23 student critiques from 2018, and 23 critiques from the online Michigan MICUSP collection at the University of Michigan. The researchers employ Text Inspector and Lexical Complexity to identify university students' vocabulary knowledge and awareness of syntactic complexity. In addition, WMatrix4® is used to identify and support the comparison of lexical and semantic differences among the three corpora. The findings indicate that gaps between Chinese and non-Chinese writers in the same university classes exist in students' knowledge of grammatical features and interactional metadiscourse. In addition, critiques by Chinese writers are more likely to produce shorter clauses and sentences. In addition, the mean value of complex nominal and coordinate phrases is smaller for Chinese students than for non-Chinese and MICUSP writers. Finally, in terms of lexical bundles, Chinese student writers prefer clausal bundles instead of phrasal bundles, which, according to previous studies, are more often found in texts of skilled writers. The current study's findings suggest incorporating implicit and explicit instruction through the implementation of corpora in language classrooms to advance skills and strategies of all, but particularly of Chinese writers of English.

Recently, there has been a steady decrease in the proportion of the construction sector among Korean engineering firms. Thus it is essential for Korean engineering firms in the construction sector, which lack experience in overseas ventures, to identify and improve their competitiveness for successful overseas expansion. Therefore, in this study, changes in Korean engineering firms' capabilities for the last decade were analyzed to promote entry into overseas road and water resource engineering markets. Competency factors that require urgent improvement were derived based on Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) as a tool for quantitative measurement. As a result, the factor that shows low performance compared to the importance is an overall understanding of the target country in the road and water resource areas. Knowledge of regulatory issues on design, the ability of time management software, and knowledge of the regulatory problems on construction safety are also insufficient. This study can be used as a research methodology to identify competitiveness that Korean engineering firms have to strengthen when they advance into overseas markets in roads, water resources, and other areas.

In the construction industry, many of the inspection activities have been conducted by experts' eyes. The inspection performance of this kind of method is highly influenced by experience and knowledge of the expert. The experts who have fluent experience may show better inspection performance than the novice. The problem is the deficiency of experts in the near future due to the acceleration of retirement of the aging expert. Eye-tracking technology can be a solution to effectively educate the novice through transferring the knowledge of an expert and to advance the inspection activities using experts' eyes. This study, as an initial step to suggest the solution, (1) figured out the state of the art of eye-tracking technology, (2) reviewed the previous research to improve the inspection in construction using experts' eye, (3) explored the potential of the application area of eye-tracking technology, and (4) established the framework to develop the advanced inspection method in two application area which are construction site safety management and infrastructure performance measurement.
