  • The virtual cell loss rate was introduced for the training pattern of the neural network in the VOB(Virtual Output Buffer) model. The VOB model shows that the neural network can find the connection admission boundary without the real cell loss rate. But the VOB model tends to overestimate the cell loss rate, so the utilization of network is low. In this paper, we uses the reference curve of the cell loss rate, which contains the information about the cell loss rate at the connection admission boundary. We process the patterns of the virtual cell loss rate using the reference curve, We performed the simulation with two major ATM traffic classes. One is On-Off traffic class that has the traffic characteristic of LAN data and other is Auto-Regressive traffic class that has the traffic characteristic of a video image communication.

  • This study surveyed 255 college students enrolled in beauty contract departments located in Seoul(5 schools) and Gyeonggido(6 schools) to investigate their admission support procedure and educational satisfaction. The study found as follows; Data collection was performed from March 25 to May 30, 2018 using SPSS WIN 21.0 for their statistical processing. With respect to data analysis, first, frequency analysis was conducted to look at the general characteristics of the subjects. Second, the admission support procedure of beauty contract department was investigated and cross analysis was performed to see if there was any change according to the subjects' general characteristics. As a result of looking at the awareness on department, 89% were found to be aware of the contract department system. As for their motivation to applying for the department, the largest reasons were found to obtain a degree and to become a hair designer within a short period of time. The most frequent route of application was a recommendation by their high school teachers. The highest priority consideration in choosing a department was the brand awareness of an associated industrial entity. With respect to the complementation education in curriculum, practical technique related to the major was found the highest. 66.7% said they would recommend the department when it comes to the intention to recommend the department. 24.0% were found satisfied with the education regarding educational satisfaction. Therefore, in order to improve the educational satisfaction of the contract department, it is necessary to acquire knowledge of the field technique and practical salon education.

  • Although current wireless mesh network (WMN) applications experience a perceptually uninterrupted hand-off, their throughput after the hand-off event may be significantly degraded due to the low available bandwidth of the mobile client's new master. In this paper, we propose a novel mobility management scheme for 802.11-based WMNs that enables both seamless hand-off for transparent communications, and bandwidth awareness for stable application performance after the hand-off process. To facilitate this, we (i) present a new buffer moment in support of the fast Layer-2 hand-off mechanism to cut the packet loss incurred in the hand-off process to zero and (ii) design a dynamic admission control to grant joining accepts to mesh clients. We evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of the proposal for both UDP and TCP traffic, as well as the fairness of the proposal. Our results show that the new scheme can not only minimize hand-off latency, but also maintain the current application rates of roaming users by choosing an appropriate new master for joining.

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of spinal disease focusing on Korean medical hospital admission patients. Methods The disease code related to spinal disease was selected based on the contents of development of clinical quality indicators for spinal disease. The assessment analysis of feasibility was conducted through medical history analysis that targets spinal disease patients, current development of clinical quality indicators for spinal disease, and relevant literature. Results The indicator items of structure, process, and results were classified and selected, and so were the detailed indicator entries. After that, the appropriate reference value was chosen. The final selected quality indicators were 3 items from structure, 9 items from process, 4 items from results, including 3 monitoring items, total 16 items was chosen. Conclusions Clinical research for the adequacy assessment should be conducted and the index entry and indicators should be reassessed through an expert group discussion. Training for the evaluation indicators and association with relevant society will motivate hospitals to voluntarily improve their quality.

  • Multiple cohorts (e.g., current students and graduates) were formed to collect information on the entire educational process from admission to graduation regarding students' educational performances at Kosin University College of Medicine. Data that had already been collected and analyzed by different committees for different purposes were grouped into a more systematic and comprehensive system called the cohort system, enabling the necessary data to be collected promptly and analyzed in accordance with the purpose of providing meaningful information in each area of the educational process. Therefore, comprehensive cohort data that can be used for mission statement revision, curriculum development and improvement, student counseling, and student selection were established and utilized. The cohort data were collected from performance evaluation indicators including self-evaluation surveys, evaluation tools for learning outcomes, academic achievement, results of the Korean Medical Licensing Examination, and career placement. Based on the results obtained by analyzing cohort data, a comprehensive cohort report has been published. The data analyzed through the cohort were reported to each committee and used in various ways. Currently, however, only some data have been analyzed and used. In the future, after complete data collection, the cohort data can be used as meaningful basic data for achieving the institution's mission and educational goals, developing and improving the curriculum, counseling students, and selecting students through the analysis of learning performance data from student admission to graduation and after graduation.

  • The study conducted Comparative Analysis on the difference of College Scholastic Ability Data divided by type of admission process through the mileage program. Analysis result in following sequence. Leadership and relationships : CSAT(CSAT) > TOSR(subject), CSAT(CSAT+TOSR) is lower than each types ; mainly TOSR(total), TOSR(subject), CSAT(CSAT). Global : CSAT(CSAT+TOSR) & CSAT(CSAT) is higher than mainly TOSR(total) & TOSR(subject). Career and job search : TOSR(total) & TOSR(subject) is higher than mainly CSAT(CSAT+TOSR). Sum of mileage score : CSAT(CSAT) is higher than TOSR(subject) & CSAT(CSAT). Given this as a result, If you look simply at the activities of joint participation of leadership and relationships, student of mainly TOSR(total) admission do well college life with existing research. But with analysis results of K-Leader mileage this research shows that students of mainly CSAT(CSAT) admission do well college life. * CSAT(College Scholastic Ability Test), TOSR(a transcript of school records)

  • Through a preliminary design process, four design candidates for a 1.4MW class partial admission turbine have been chosen and the numerical analyses using a frozen rotor method are applied to estimate their performance. Each flow analysis result was compared with others and the optimum design was selected. Flow characteristics in the passages and some types of losses induced by shocks and wakes were found from calculation results. A new rotor blade was redesigned based on these calculations and this result is compared with previous one through flow analysis.

  • Background: This study aims to analyze the behavioral changes of healthcare providers and influencing factors after the reviewer unification of auto insurance medical benefit claims by an independent review agency. Methods: The comparison data were collected from the second half of 2013 and the same period of 2014. The key indicators are the number of admission days, the number of outpatient visits, inpatient ratio, inpatient medical expenses, and outpatient medical expenses. Results: Four indicators (number of admission days, number of outpatient visits, inpatient ratio, and outpatient medical expenses) showed statistically significant drops, while one indicator (inpatient medical expenses) showed no significant change. Conclusion: The reviewer unification of auto insurance medical benefit claims by an independent review agency showed significant reduction in cost and patient days.

  • This study aims at solving the problem in the application method of the comparative school record which is currently being discussed in depth among colleges. The application method of Kay O. Lee and Yeon Soo Cung(1997) which was appied in the 1999 Korean air force Academy Admission Process was found to be problematic in the following respects. First the setting of the standard which divides all the high schools in kora into five groups relative to their scholastic level is somewhat vague and subjective secondly the difference among those levels which resulted from the five grouping could greatly influence on the admission of the applicants and thirdly there is no standard in choosing those few promising individuals with high scholastic aptitude test results from the low level groups such as level four and five,. Therefore this study suggests and introduces a nationwide individual scholastic evaluation that would complement the limits and problems in the application method of the comparative school record.
