A Prototype of Robotic External Fixation System for Surgery of Bone Deformity Correction

  • A robotic external fixation system for the surgery of bone deformity correction was developed to simulate the execution process of mal-unioned femur by the adjustment of the joints of the fixation system. An inverse kinematics analysis algorithm was developed to calculate the necessary rotations and translations at each joint of the robotic system. The computer graphic model was developed for validation of the analysis result and visualization of the surgical process. For given rotational and angular deformity case, the surgical execution process using the robotic system was well matched with the pre-operative planning. The final residual rotational deformities were within $1.0^{\circ}{\sim}1.6^{\circ}$ after surgical correction process. The presented robotic system with computer-aided planning can be useful for knowledge-based fracture treatment and bone deformity correction under external fixation.

방한 일본인 개별 자유 여행객의 한국 음식의 적응 과정 - 문화적 신념 요인들을 중심으로 - (The Adaptation Process of Korean Food for Japanese Independent Tourists (FIT) - Focus on the Cultural Belief -)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the phasic characteristics of the adjustment process to Korean food with an analysis of Japanese independent tourist culture social resistance factors. To collect data for empirical study, a survey was distributed to 284 Japanese tourists through Korean travel agencies. Logistic regression analysis was carried out in order to determine media and cultural beliefs affecting the diffusion process of Korean food. The results showed that cultural beliefs had no significant effects on the diffusion process of most Korean food. However, people who valued similarities between the two countries-South Korea and Japan-demonstrated a significant effect on performance and identification group. Therefore, cultural beliefs did not influence the diffusion of Korean food, although there are surely cultural beliefs and subjective factors affecting their reform decisions.

포신 내경 측정시스템 개선을 통한 공정품질 향상 (Process Quality Improvement through Improving Measurement System for Internal Diameter of Gun Barrel)

  • Purpose: The variation of the internal diameters of gun barrel incurs a lot of reworks in gun barrel manufacturing process and the significant quality problem of gun barrel. And it is likely to stem from the current measurement system for the internal diameter of gun barrel and the related manufacturing process as well. The purpose of this study is to improve the gun barrel manufacturing process through improving measurement system. Methods: The improved measurement system using laser can measure the internal diameters of gun barrel more accurately, and the properly adjusted honing process reduces the variation of internal diameters of gun barrel. Results: Comparing the mean square error of internal diameters for 6 gun barrels measured before and after process improvement shows that the variation of gun barrel internal diameters was significantly reduced after the process improvement. Conclusion: The introduction of improved measurement system for the internal diameters of gun barrel and the adjustment of related honing process results in the reduction of reworks of gun barrels and their internal diameter variations.

Optimization of Extraction Conditions for the 6-Shogaol-rich Extract from Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe)

  • 6-Shogaol, a dehydrated form of 6-gingerol, is a minor component in ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) and has recently been reported to have more potent bioactivity than 6-gingerol. Based on the thermal instability of gingerols (their dehydration to corresponding shogaols at high temperature), we aimed to develop an optimal process to maximize the 6-shogaol content during ginger extraction by modulating temperature and pH. Fresh gingers were dried under various conditions: freeze-, room temperature (RT)- or convection oven-drying at 60 or $80^{\circ}C$, and extracted by 95% ethanol at RT, 60 or $80^{\circ}C$. The content of 6-shogaol was augmented by increasing both drying and extraction temperatures. The highest production of 6-shogaol was achieved at $80^{\circ}C$ extraction after drying at the same temperature and the content of 6-shogaol was about 7-fold compared to the lowest producing process by freezing and extraction at RT. Adjustment of pH (pH 1, 4, 7 and 10) for the 6-shogaol-richest extract (dried and extracted both at $80^{\circ}C$) also affected the chemical composition of ginger and the yield of 6-shogaol was maximized at the most acidic condition of pH 1. Taken together, the current study shows for the first time that a maximized production of 6-shogaol can be achieved during practical drying and extraction process of ginger by increasing both drying and extracting temperatures. Adjustment of pH to extraction solvent with strong acid also helps increase the production of 6-shogaol. Our data could be usefully employed in the fields of food processing as well as nutraceutical industry.

중학생의 성취가치와 학업적응의 관계에서 자기조절과 진로정체감의 매개 및 조절효과 (Mediating and Moderating Effects of Self-regulation and Career Identity in the Relationship Between Achievement Value and Academic Adjustment of Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 성취가치로 학업적응을 예측함에 있어서 자기조절의 매개효과와 진로정체감의 조절효과를 알아보는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 중학교 3학년 남학생 1088명과 여학생 970명이다. 연구방법은 SPSS와 hayes의 process macro를 사용하여 조건부과정분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성취가치와 학업적응 간의 관계에서 자기조절의 부분매개효과는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성취가치와 자기조절 및 성취가치와 학업적응 간의 각 관계에서 진로정체감의 조절효과는 모두 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로, 성취가치가 자기조절을 경유하여 학업적응에 영향을 미치는 매개효과의 크기는 진로정체감의 수준에 따라 조절되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 성취가치가 낮은 중학생에게 진로정체감을 개발하도록 지원하는 것이 자기조절과 학업적응의 향상에 도움이 된다는 것을 보여준다. 그러나 진로정체감의 영향이 성취가치나 자기조절의 영향보다 낮은 것으로 나타났으므로, 향후 연구를 통하여 성취가치를 높이도록 지원하기 위한 방안을 강구할 것을 제안한다.

조선 중기 툇마루의 도입과 상부가구의 구조적 대응 (Research on Introduction of Toi-Maru in Mid-Joseon Period and Structural Adjustment of Frame Work in Roof Structure)

  • The necessity of the Toi-Maru has increased greatly in order to enter to the building or to move conveniently in the building after the mid-Joseon period, when the combination of On-dol Ma-ru began to be universally used. According to this process, the 3-Dori type upper structure is thought to have undergone the typological changed by securing a more stable space of Toi-Maru In cases where a relatively large girder was used, it is often the case that the space is divided using a pillar to place a Toi-Maru on the front. However, it is difficult to find a case where the width of the Toi-Maru exceeds 1meter due to its structural limit. The type that made additional Toi-girder to overcome the spatial constraint of this structure and replaced the method of former typology after Mid-Jpseon period. In case of 5-Dori type, Toi-Maru installed in between high post and Toi post in early period. In these type, the width of Toi-Maru was subordinated by the location of milled Dori of roof structure and sometimes it became too excessive. 5-Dori type with Pyon-ju occurred to overcome these restriction between the width of Toi-Maru and the location of milled Dori of roof structure. Not a few remains of Mid-Jpseon period keeping the evidences of changing process of roof structure provoked by Toi-Maru installation. The consistent process of Toi-Maru installation and structural adjustment will be focused to consider the attempt to spatial requirement and architectural reaction in Mid-Joseon perid.

치위생과 학생의 $2{\times}2$ 성취목표지향성이 자기조절학습에 미치는 영향 (Effect of the Dental Hygienics Students' $2{\times}2$ Achievement Target Orientation on the Self-Regulated Learning)

  • 본 연구는 치위생과 학생들이 효과적으로 자기조절학습을 하기 위한 성취목표지향성을 파악하고 이러한 적응적인 성취목표지향을 유도하기 위한 수업 환경을 제안하고자 대구 충북지역의 소재하는 치위생과 재학생 387명을 대상으로 성취목표 지향성 및 자기조절학습 능력 및 영향력을 일원다변량분석과 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 알아보았다. 전체 여대생들의 $2{\times}2$ 성취목표지향성 가운데 숙달접근이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 다음으로 수행접근, 숙달회피, 수행회피 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 학년에 따른 동기조절의 경우 1학년의 내재적 가치가 2학년과 3학년의 내재적 가치에 비하여 높았고, 행동조절에 있어서 3학년의 시간과 공부조절, 조력추구는 1학년과 2학년의 시간과 공부조절에 비하여 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다음으로 $2{\times}2$ 성취목표지향성의 하위변인은 자기조절학습의 하위변인과 정적상관관계를 보이는 것으로 나타났는데, 하위변인 가운데 숙달접근은 내재적 가치와 상관관계가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났고, 숙달회피, 수행접근, 수행회피는 외현적 목표지향과 상관관계가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 자기조절학습의 하위변인 가운데 내재적 가치, 외현적 목표지향, 공부환경조절의 경우 $2{\times}2$ 성취목표지향성의 모든 하위변인과 통계적으로 유의미한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 자기조절학습의 하위변인은 $2{\times}2$ 성취목표지향성의 하위변인 가운데 숙달접근과 가장 큰 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 숙달접근, 숙달회피, 수행접근, 수행회피가 동기조절의 하위변인에 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 인지조절에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학년과 숙달접근이 인지조절의 하위변인에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 행동조절에 영향을 미치는 요인은 학년과 숙달접근이 행동조절의 하위변인에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 성취목표지향성과 자기조절 학습의 영향력을 분석함으로써 학생들의 학업목표의 방향을 수정하고 적절한 자기조절학습의 사용을 통해 학습을 효과적으로 할 수 있음을 시사한다. 하지만 본 연구에서는 학업 성취적 요인을 분석대상으로 삼지 않았기 때문에 보다 직접적인 결론을 도출할 수 있는 없었지만 성취목표지향성과 자기조절학습은 서로 상관성이 높기 때문에 성취목표지향성에 따라 자기조절학습이 달라질 수 있으며 두 요인을 잘 고려하면 학습자들의 성취동기를 유발하고 효과적인 학습과정을 유발할 수 있다는 기초자료가 될 수 있으리라 생각된다. 후속연구로 구체적인 학업성취도와의 관련성을 탐색하여 성취목표 지향성의 하위변인과 자기조절학습능력 및 학업성취도의 구체적인 관련성을 연구할 필요가 있다고 생각된다.

pH 조절 및 소금 첨가가 돼지 뒷다리부위를 이용한 수리미의 품질특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of pH Adjustment and Sodium Chloride Addition on Quality Characteristics of Surimi Using Pork Leg)

  • pH 조절과 소금 첨가에 따른 돼지 뒷다리 부위를 이용한 수리미의 품질특성을 파악하기 위하여 C(명태수리미, 수세 2회, 소금 무첨가), 나머지 처리구들은 돼지 뒷다리 부위를 활용하여 제조한 수리미로 T1(pH 3.0, 소금 무첨가), T2(pH 3.0, 소금 첨가), T3(pH 11.0, 소금 무첨가) 및 T4(pH 11.0, 소금 첨가) 처리구로 하여 시험한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 육색은 pH가 높을수록 $L^*$값과 W값은 높았지만 $a^*$값과 $b^*$값은 현저하게 낮게 나타났다(p<0.05). 소금 첨가로 W값은 높았지만 $a^*$값과 $b^*$값은 현저하게 낮게 나타났다(p<0.05). 조직감의 응집성은 pH가 높을수록 높게 나타났으며(p<0.05), 탄력성을 제외한 모든 조직특성은 소금 첨가로 인해 현저하게 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). 파괴강도와 젤강도는 pH가 높을수록 높게 나타났고(p<0.05), 파괴강도, 젤강도 및 젤리강도는 소금 첨가로 인해 높게 나타났으나, 전단가는 오히려 낮게 나타났다(p<0.05). 관능검사 결과 연도는 pH가 높을수록 높게 나타났고(p<0.05), 소금 첨가로 인해 모든 관능평가 항목은 현저하게 높게 나타났다(p<0.05). pH 조절과 소금 첨가 유무 상호작용에는 육색, 조직감, 파괴강도, 변형값, 젤강도, 전단가 및 관능검사 결과는 현저한 차이가 없었다(p>0.05). 처리간에는 T2와 T4가 C와 가장 유사한 육색, 조직감, 물리적 특성 및 관능검사 결과를 나타내었고, 그 중에서도 pH 11.0 조절과 2% 소금 첨가구인 T4가 전반적으로 더 좋은 품질이었다.

전문가 시스템을 이용한 소모사의 공정계획 (An expert system approach for process planning of worsted spun yarns)

  • Human experts have the various own knowledges to be applied in specialized domains. The fact that knowledge itself becomes more critical in the context of textile knowledge with rapid development of new fibers, automated equipments, processes and applications. Diversity of worsted spun yarns, lack of human expertise, and inconsistency among manually generated process plans in consequency of adjustment machine parameters owing to change up raw materials frequently increase the necessity of developing computer aided process planning(CAPP) systems for spinning process. Expert systems offer one of techniques to develop CAPP systems which would behave in a knowledgeable manner. Expert systems are the problem-solving computer program that can reach a level of performance comparable to that of a human expert in some specialized problem domain. This paper is described as job justification module. The job justification module performs to consult with users on which worsted spun yarn manufacturing process planning under the various factors, e.g., raw materials, machine parameters and required yarn counts. Also, the developed module informs the various knowledges relevant process planning. The job justification module offers the control parameters at each process and includes the various standard process plans as database. These knowledges are generated by facts and rules within rule bases.

Mode Switching Smooth Control of Transient Process of Grid-Connected 400 Hz Solid-State Power Supply System

  • The mode-switching control of transient process is important to grid-connected 400 Hz solid-state power supply systems. Therefore, this paper analyzes the principle of on-grid and islanding operation of the system with or without local loads in the grid-connected process and provides a theoretical study of the effect of different switching sequences on the mode-switching transient process. The conclusion is that the mode switch (MS) must be turned on before the solid-state switch (STS) in the on-grid process and that STS must be turned off before the MS in the off-grid process. A strategy of mode-switching smooth control for transient process of the system is proposed, including its concrete steps. The strategy utilizes the average distribution of peak currents and the smooth adjustment of peak currents and phases to achieve a no-shock grid connection. The simulation and experimental results show that the theoretical analysis is correct and that the method is effective.
