가속도 센서를 이용한 이동거리 측정 알고리즘 (Distance measurement algorithm using the acceleration sensor)

  • 본 연구는 가속도 센서를 이용하여 이동거리를 측정하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 이 알고리즘은 사람의 키와 보폭이 상관관계가 있다는 특성을 이용하였다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 가속도 센서에서 측정되는 샐플링 데이터를 이용해 이동거리를 측정하였다. 그리고 가속도 크기의 변화에 따라 인자값 및 임계값을 적용하여 실제 이동거리와 측정된 이동거리의 오차를 8%미만의 결과를 도출하였다.

Some Properties on Receding Horizon $H_{\infty}$ Control for Nonlinear Discrete-time Systems

  • In this paper, we present some properties on receding horizon $H_{\infty}$ control for nonlinear discrete-time systems. First, we propose the nonlinear inequality condition on the terminal cost for nonlinear discrete-time systems. Under this condition, noninceasing monotonicity of the saddle point value of the finite horizon dynamic game is shown to be guaranteed. We show that the derived condition on the terminal cost ensures the closed-loop internal stability. The proposed receding horizon $H_{\infty}$ control guarantees the infinite horizon $H_{\infty}$ norm bound of the closed-loop systems. Also, using this cost monotonicity condition, we can guarantee the asymptotic infinite horizon optimality of the receding horizon value function. With the additional condition, the global result and the input-to-state stable property of the receding horizon value function are also given. Finally, we derive the stability margin for the saddle point value based receding horizon controller. The proposed result has a larger stability region than the existing inverse optimality based results.

강원 영동지역의 관광철 폐기물 및 발열량 특성 (Characteristics of Municipal Solid Wastes and Heating Value in Tourist Season of the eastern side of Gangwondo)

  • When we looked at the seasonal food dregs of the eastern side of gangwondo, gangneung city's summer and winter food dregs showed 25.9 and 25.8% respectively due to the presence of beach areas and ski resorts. Sokcho city showed 28.12% in summer and yangyang gun's summer food dregs showed 40.2%. Yangyang gun's august food dregs showed 2.7 times larger than annual average amount. Outlook density showed regional characteristics. Data showed that food dregs' amount rate has been reduced gradually from 2005 because of the prohibition of direct filling up. As a result of compositions analysis, the eastern side of gangwondo's water fraction of living dregs were lower than that of chuncheon city where is located at the gangwondo's inland area. chuncheon city's data showed residential areas 53.5%, community areas 56.8% and commercial areas 55.6%. These discrepancies caused by the characteristics of dregs discharge type and climate. The caloric value of dregs has been increased incrementally after the ban of food dregs' direct filling up. Therefore, heating value of the dregs exceeds the existing furnace design spec and it can cause high caloric value problems, so we need additional research to solve these problems.

매개변수 종속 최적화에서 최대치형 목적함수 처리에 관한 연구 (A study on the treatment of a max-value cost function in parametric optimization)

  • This study explores the treatment of the max-value cost function over a parameter interval in parametric optimization. To avoid the computational burden of the transformation treatment using an artificial variable, a direct treatment of the original max-value cost function is proposed. It is theoretically shown that the transformation treatment results in demanding an additional equality constraint of dual variables as a part of the Kuhn-Tucker necessary conditions. Also, it is demonstrated that the usability and feasibility conditions on the search direction of the transformation treatment retard convergence rate. To investigate numerical performances of both treatments, typical optimization algorithms in ADS are employed to solve a min-max steady-state response optimization. All the algorithm tested reveal that the suggested direct treatment is more efficient and stable than the transformation treatment. Also, the better performing of the direct treatment over the transformation treatment is clearly shown by constrasting the convergence paths in the design space of the sample problem. Six min-max transient response optimization problems are also solved by using both treatments, and the comparisons of the results confirm that the performances of the direct treatment is better than those of the tranformation treatment.

토마토 주스의 미생물 발효 산도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the pH Characterization for Microbial Fermentation in Tomato Juice)

  • This study was conducted to know the behavior of pH behavior in the tomato juices to find out an effective medium for microbial cultivation. Bacterial culture media is a material consist a mixture of nutrients used to grow microorganisms on or in it. In addition, microbial culture media can also be used for isolation, propagation, testing the nature physiological, and calculation of the number of microorganisms. Fresh tomato juice is used for basic ingredient, therein added salt, sugar and EM (Effective Microbial). The fermented solution placed in a room with a temperature of 40oC. Data retrieval before the pH value reached a constant value is done every 12 hours, after constant rate data collection was done every 24 hours. The pH value has been steady after 372 hours of fermentation process (15.5 days). From the results obtained that the amount of additional ingredient which added into tomato juice does not affect final pH value of solution. Thereby the most effective treatment for microbial cultivation media is treatment number four.

고유치 해석을 이용한 보의 크랙 탐색 (Detection of a Crack in Beams by Eigen Value Analysis)

  • In this paper, crack detection method using eigen value analysis is presented. Three methods are used: theoretical analysis, finite element method with the cracked beam elements and finite element method with three dimensional continuum elements. Finite element formulation of the cracked beam element is introduced. Additional term about stress intensity factor based on fracture mechanics theory is added to flexibility matrix of original beam to model the crack. As using calculated stiffness matrix of cracked beam element and mass matrix, natural frequencies are calculated by eigen value analysis. In the case of using continuum elements, the natural frequencies could be calculated by using EDISON CASAD solver. Several cases of crack are simulated to obtain natural frequencies corresponding the crack. The surface of natural frequency is plotted as changing with crack location and depth. Inverse analysis method is used to find crack location and depth from the natural frequencies of experimental data, which are referred by another papers. Predicted results are similar with the true crack location and depth.

The Impact of LEED-Energy Star Certified Office Buildings on the Market Values of Neighboring Areas in New York City

  • Green building certifications are being adopted widely, and existing research continues to show an array of benefits to stakeholders of green certified buildings. However, little attention has been paid thus far to the effects these buildings may have on their surrounding neighborhoods economically. This research examined the effect of LEED and/or Energy Star certification on the neighborhoods surrounding certified office buildings from an economic standpoint with spatial and statistical analyses. This research showed the unit market value of LEED and/or Energy Star certified office buildings and the parameters of LEED and/or Energy Star certification had statistically a positive impact on the median unit market value of their neighborhood areas. The findings can provide useful insights into the possibilities for additional economic benefits of their neighborhoods, encouraging a win-win approach that enhances the local real estate market.

A Case study of Equity Carve-out In the Korean Distribution Industry: Focusing on the SSG.com

  • Purpose: Research on equity carve-outs is necessary because the market has realized that they lead to holding company discounts by double counting, which can only be observed in the Korean market. Considering the differences in the SSG.com equity carve-out compared to previous cases in terms of business strategy, this study contributes to the literature by examining the effects on shareholder value in the Korean distribution industry. Research design, data, and methodology: This study investigated literature, analyst reports, and news articles to examine the causes of holding company discounts and analyze the SSG.com equity carve-out. Results: The monopoly of holding companies' listing premiums is the main cause underlying holding company discounts from equity carve-outs. Protections for minority shareholder value are challenging owing to the complexity of the process of acquiring rights, the short exercise period, and additional costs. Therefore, the motivation for equity carve-outs should be to increase overall shareholder value. Conclusion: By analyzing the reasons for holding company discounts in the Korean distribution industry, this study provides recommendations for improving shareholder value. Moreover, it contributes to the maturation of the Korean capital market by promoting a discussion on the revision of equity carve-outs.

세무조사전후의 기업가치의 차이 (Pre- and Post-Tax Audit Differences of The Firm Value)

  • 본 연구는 세무조사추징세액을 공시한 기업을 대상으로 세무조사공시 전후에 기업가치의 차이가 있는지 살펴보는 연구이다. 세무조사로 인한 세무조사 추징세액은 거액의 현금 유출을 수반하며 이로 인하여 기업가치가 낮아질 가능성이 있다. 그러나 세무조사로 인한 외부감시기능은 기업의 투명성을 증가시켜 기업가치를 오히려 증가시킬 수도 있다. 세무조사로 인하여 탈세액을 추징하는 과정에서 과도한 접대비, 회계장부의 조작, 경영자 등과의 부적절한 거래 등 많은 기업가치에 부정적인 요소들이 상세히 공개되므로 기업경영의 투명성이 제고될 수 있다. 이러한 기업투명성의 제고는 기업의 대리인비용을 감소시켜 기업가치를 높일 수 있다. 연구 결과 세무조사공시 직전년도에 비하여 세무조사공시 후 년도에 기업가치가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 세무조사라는 행위가 현금흐름유출이라는 기업가치에 음(-)의 영향을 줄 수 있는 가능성에 불구하고 오히려 기업의 긍정적인 영향요인이 되고 있다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 결과는 세무조사에 대한 부정적인 시각을 바꾸어야 함을 나타내고 있다. 세무조사가 기업영업 활동을 위축시키지 않을 수 있으며, 오히려 세무조사가 기업가치에 긍정적인 영향을 준다고 설명할 수 있다. 따라서 기업은 세무조사를 기업가치 상승의 기회로 삼아야 한다.

정성적 위험분석 단계에서 중간위험 집중형 위험도 산정 방법 (Risk Value Calculation Method for Moderate Risk Concentration Type at Qualitative Risk Analysis Phase)

  • 건설위험관리 프로세스의 위험분석단계는 정성적 및 정량적 위험분석단계로 세분화되는데, 정성적 위험분석이 주된 역할을 하고 정량적 위험분석은 보조적인 역할을 담당한다. 그런데 이제까지 정성적 위험분석단계에서 위험도를 계량화하는 방법으로 적용되어온 위험도 산정 공식은 발생확률과 영향을 단순히 곱하는 식으로서 결과 값들은 저위험도에 편중된 분포를 나타낸다. 이에 대한 대안으로 고위험도에 편중되는 산정 공식이 제안되었으나, 위험도 분포가 저위험도 또는 고위험도에 편중하게 될 경우 대부분의 자연현상이 정상분포에 가깝다는 통계학적인 일반논리에 부합되지 않는다. 본 연구에서는 위험도의 분포가 중앙에 집중되는 새로운 위험도 산정방법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 통해 위험도 분포가 자연현상의 정상분포와 유사한 형식으로 표현됨으로써 위험에 대응하는 수준이 고위험도 또는 저위험도에 치우지지 않고 중간위험도에서 합리적으로 선택될 수 있게 하고자 한다. 나아가 위험도 산정방법에 대한 추가적인 선택사항을 제공함으로써 위험분석 방법의 융통성과 합리성을 향상시키는데도 일조하고자 한다.
