MLMS-SUM Method LMS 결합 알고리듬을 적용한 웨이브렛 패킷 적응잡음제거기 (Wavelet Packet Adaptive Noise Canceller with NLMS-SUM Method Combined Algorithm)

  • Adaptive nois canceller can extract the noiseremoved spech in noisy speech signal by adapting the filter-coefficients to the background noise environment. A kind of LMS algorithm is one of the most popular adaptive algorithm for noise cancellation due to low complexity, good numerical property and the merit of easy implementation. However there is the matter of increasing misadjustment at voiced speech signal. Therefore the demanded speech signal may be extracted. In this paper, we propose a fast and noise robust wavelet packet adaptive noise canceller with NLMS-SUM method LMS combined algorithm. That is, we decompose the frequency of noisy speech signal at the base of the proposed analysis tree structure. NLMS algorithm in low frequency band can efficiently dliminate the effect of the low frequency noise and SUM method LMS algorithm at each high frequency band can remove the high frequency nosie. The proposed wavelet packet adaptive noise canceller is enhanced the more in SNR and according to Itakura-Satio(IS) distance, it is closer to the clean speech signal than any other previous adaptive noise canceller.

적응신호처리에 의한 주행전기동차의 진동신호해석 (Vibration Signal Analysis of Running Electric Train using Adaptive Signal Processing)

  • The vibration signals of driving parts of electric train are distorted its signal patterns due to the impact components, which occurs when wheel passes rail joints. An elimination method of the impact components is investigated using adaptive signal processing technique in this study The result shows that adaptive interference canceling method seems to be more effective than line enhancement technique. The application of adaptive interference canceling method to the signal measured at bogie shows that the extractions of the signals of driving parts of traction motor, reduction gear, and axle bearing are successful. Therefore, only the signals of bogie, which is the place to attach an accelerometer easily, is sufficient for the fault diagnosis and the safety evaluation of electric train. Also, adaptive interference canceling method can be applicable to evaluate the performance of vibration isolation between bogie and car body and to investigate the characteristics of indoor sound.

추세 제거된 시계열을 이용한 단위근 식별 (Determining the existence of unit roots based on detrended data)

  • 본 논문에서는 adaptive lasso 방법을 이용하여 단위근의 존재 여부를 판단하는 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 최근 원 시계열에 상수항과 선형 추세가 포함된 ADF-회귀모형식을 adaptive lasso로 추정하여 단위근을 식별하는 방법이 제안되었으나, 미지의 선형 추세가 존재할 때 검정력이 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 ADF-회귀모형식을 적합시킬 때 원 시계열 대신 선형 추세가 제거된 시계열을 사용하는 수정안을 제안하였다. 그리고 수정안에서는 일차적으로 선형 추세를 제거한 후 모형식을 적합시키기 때문에 ADF-회귀모형식 중 상수항과 선형 추세를 모두 포함하지 않는 모형식을 사용하였다. 기존의 방법보다 수정안을 사용할 때 단위근의 존재를 판단하는 검정력이 향상되는지 모의실험을 통해 검토하였으며, ADF 검정과 DF-GLS 검정과의 비교 실험도 진행하였다. 모의실험 결과 adaptive lasso를 이용하여 단위근의 존재를 판단할 때 원 시계열보다 추세가 제거된 시계열을 사용하는 경우가 높은 정확도를 가지며, 자료의 개수가 충분히 많을 때 단위근을 잘 판단함을 확인할 수 있었다.

A new structural reliability analysis method based on PC-Kriging and adaptive sampling region

  • The active learning surrogate model based on adaptive sampling strategy is increasingly popular in reliability analysis. However, most of the existing sampling strategies adopt the trial and error method to determine the size of the Monte Carlo (MC) candidate sample pool which satisfies the requirement of variation coefficient of failure probability. It will lead to a reduction in the calculation efficiency of reliability analysis. To avoid this defect, a new method for determining the optimal size of the MC candidate sample pool is proposed, and a new structural reliability analysis method combining polynomial chaos-based Kriging model (PC-Kriging) with adaptive sampling region is also proposed (PCK-ASR). Firstly, based on the lower limit of the confidence interval, a new method for estimating the optimal size of the MC candidate sample pool is proposed. Secondly, based on the upper limit of the confidence interval, an adaptive sampling region strategy similar to the radial centralized sampling method is developed. Then, the k-means++ clustering technique and the learning function LIF are used to complete the adaptive design of experiments (DoE). Finally, the effectiveness and accuracy of the PCK-ASR method are verified by three numerical examples and one practical engineering example.

Remeshing techniques for r-adaptive and combined h/r-adaptive analysis with application to 2D/3D crack propagation

  • Remeshing strategies are formulated for r-adaptive and h/r-adaptive analysis of crack propagation. The relocation of the nodes, which typifies r-adaptivity, is a very cheap method to optimise a given discretisation since the element connectivity remains unaltered. However, the applicability is limited. To further improve the finite element mesh, a combined h/r-adaptive method is proposed in which h-adaptivity is applied whenever r-adaptivity is not capable of further improving the discretisation. Two and three-dimensional examples are presented. It is shown that the r-adaptive approach can optimise a discretisation at minimal computational costs. Further, the combined h/r-adaptive approach improves the performance of a fully r-adaptive technique while the number of h-remeshings is reduced compared to a fully h-adaptive technique.

  • The object of the present study is to present an adaptive wavelet-Galerkin method for the analysis of thin-walled box beam. Due to good localization properties of wavelets, wavelet methods emerge as alternative efficient solution methods to finite element methods. Most structural applications of wavelets thus far are limited in fixed-scale, non-adaptive frameworks, but this is not an appropriate use of wavelets. On the other hand, the present work appears the first attempt of an adaptive wavelet-based Galerkin method in structural problems. To handle boundary conditions, a fictitous domain method with penalty terms is employed. The limitation of the fictitious domain method is also addressed.

무선 센서 네트워크 환경에서 적응형 임계값 설정 방법 (An Adaptive Threshold Method in Wireless Sensor Network Environments)

  • Wireless sensor networks are emerging as a solution for a wide range of data gathering applications. The most difficult challenge for the design of sensor nodes is the need for significant reductions in energy consumption. The threshold methods which filter redundant and similar data can be used to save energy. In this paper, we propose the adaptive threshold method to effectively manage the energy in wireless sensor nodes. In the adaptive threshold method, wireless sensor nodes can change the thresholds dynamically as the sensing environments vary. The simulation results show that the adaptive threshold method works very effectively even when we experience the significant volatility in the data. This scheme can be used in order to monitor the malfunction in the equipment of semiconductor manufacturing line.

Neuro-Fuzzy Control of Inverted Pendulum System for Intelligent Control Education

  • This paper presents implementation of the adaptive neuro-fuzzy control method. Control performance of the adaptive neuro-fuzzy control method for a popular inverted pendulum system is evaluated. The inverted pendulum system is designed and built as an education kit for educational purpose for engineering students. The educational kit is specially used for intelligent control education. Control purpose is to satisfy balancing angle and desired trajectory tracking performance. The adaptive neuro-fuzzy controller has the Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy structure. Back-propagation algorithm is used for updating weights in the fuzzy control. Control performances of the inverted pendulum system by PID control method and the adaptive neuro-fuzzy control method are compared. Control hardware of a DSP 2812 board is used to achieve the real-time control performance. Experimental studies are conducted to show successful control performances of the inverted pendulum system by the adaptive neuro-fuzzy control method.

변형해석을 위한 적응적 세분화방법에 기초한 무요소법 (A meshfree method based on adaptive refinement method and its application for deformation analysis)

  • The finite element method(FEM) presents some limitations when the mesh becomes highly distorted. For analysis of metal forming processes with large deformation, the conventional finite element method usually requires several remeshing operations due to severe mesh distortion. The new computational method developed in the recent years, usually designated by meshfree method, offers an attractive approach to avoid those time-consuming remeshing efforts. This new method uses a set of points to represent the problem domain with no need of an additional mesh. Also this new generation of computational method provides a higher rate of convergence than that of the conventional finite element methods. One of the promising applications of meshfree methods is the adaptive refinement for problems having multi-scale nature. In this study, an adaptive node generation procedure is proposed and also to illustrate the efficiency of proposed method, several numerical examples are presented.

  • Adaptive design of IIR digiral filters using equation error method has been studied. In this paper, a design technique of IIR digital filters using output error method with adaptive compensator is presented. In computer simulation results, it is shown that flat response characteristic in pass-band, below-40[dB] attenuation characteristic in stop-band, sharf cut-off characteristic in transition-band, and phase characteristic is linearin pass-band.
