In this paper, active resonator oscillator using active band pass filter with gain, active resonator with negative resistance using transistor(agilent ATF-34143) is designed and fabricated. Proposed active resonator oscillator for local oscillator in ISM band(5.8GHz) is designed with 5.5 GHz oscillation frequency. Designed active resonator oscillator implemented on the substrate which has the relative dielectric constant of 3.38, the height of 0.508mm, and metal thickness of 0.018mm. Active resonator oscillators using active band pass filter with gain show the oscillation frequency of 5.6GHz with the output power of -2dBm and phase noise of -81dBc/Hz at the offset frequency of 100kHz. Active resonator oscillators active resonator with negative resistance show the oscillation frequency of 5.6, 5.8GHz with the output power of -4dBm and phase noise of -91dBc/Hz at the offset frequency of 100kHz.
Two kinds of simple active oscillators are proposed and analyzed assuming that operational amplifier has two-poles frequency characteristics. The first circuit is composed of one operational amplifier, one resistor and one grounded capacitor. The second oscillator is realized with one operational amplifier and three resitors. Proposed oscillators have the low sensitivity of the oscillation frequency for little variations of the passive element values. By the experimental results obtained with Op-Amp. ${\mu}A741$, the simple oscillators can be useful for the frequency range $1.25 KHz{\leq}f_{01}{\leq}40KHz$ for the active-RC type or $45.45 KHz{\leq}f_{02}{\leq}400KHz$ for the active-R oscillator, and it is shown to transform the active-R oscillator circuit into the voltage controlled type. Therefore, two kinds of oscillator circuit are attractive for the IC realization, because they have one operational amplifier, one resistor and one grounded capacitor, or three resistors.
An LC-tuned sinusoidal voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) using temperature-stable linear operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) is presented. Its architecture is based on Hartley oscillator configuration, where the inductor is active one realized with two OTAs and a grounded capacitor. Two diode limiters are used for limiting amplitude. A prototype oscillator built with discrete components exhibits less than 3.1% nonlinearity in its current-to-frequency transfer characteristic from 1.99 MHz to 39.14 MHz and $220ppm/^{\circ}C$ frequency stability to the temperature drift over 0 to $75^{\circ}C$. The total harmonic distortion (THD) is as low as 4.4 % for a specified frequency-tuning range. The simulated phase noise of the VCO is about -108.9 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset frequency in frequency range of 0.4 - 46.97 MHz and property of phase noise of VCO is better than colpitts-VCO.

This paper deals with extending the variable natural oscillation frequency range of an active integrated FET oscillator. In this paper, we conform experimentally that the variable range of the natural oscillation frequency is expanded about three times in the oscillator controlled by the varactor diode. When the frequency difference is given to the oscillators in the two element antenna system, phase difference appeared between the oscillators. The 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-element patch antenna arrays are composed for the beam scanning experiments. All the above patch antennas show good phased array characteristics. The range of the scanning angle is about $30^{\circ}$, and the radiation power is gradually increased from $50{\mu}W\;to\;200{\mu}W$. The radiation patterns we sharpened as the number of elements is increased.

In this paper, the Single-stage Transmission type Injectiong-Locked Oscillator(STILO) was designed and fabicated for the Active Integrated Phased Array Antenna(AIPAA) system. The STILO, which was designed and fabricated by injection-locked technique and hair-pin resonator, has the same 210MHz frequency tuning range of the Voltage Controlled Oscillator(VCO) used by varactor. The locking bandwidth of STILO with 11.5MHz bandwidth, is much better than that of the Injection-Locked Dielectric Resonator Oscillator(ILDRO), And the STILO has the improved noise characteristics in AM, FM, and PM. This STILO is useful for the AIPAA, the coupled VCO array, an the MMIC structure.

A new approach to the active phased arrays for the second harmonic generation is presented. Phase variation between the second harmonic oscillators by the mutual synchronization is analyzed theoretically. In this coupling, the active antenna consists of the FET oscillator which plays two roles in fundamental oscillation and frequency multiplying, and the patch antenna resonated at the second harmonic frequency. The radiated second harmonic wave was scanned by varying the free-running oscillation frequencies of the active antennas. In the experiment using the 2-elements array and the 4-elements array, the radiated beam of the second harmonic wave was scanned more widely compared with the case of the fundamental wave radiation.
In this paper, a compact doppler sensor with oscillator type active antenna operating at 2.4GHz frequency band is proposed to measure the distance or speed of a moving object. The active antenna has been realized by oscillator using radiator, patch antenna, as its resonator. The oscillation frequency is shifted depending on approaching of the object, and a detection circuit discriminates the frequency deviation. The oscillator type active antenna has been designed and simulated. The prototype fabricated has a very small circular disk type of diameter 30mm and height 4.2mm. As for antenna performance, broadside radiation pattern with beamwidth of $130^{\circ}$ and oscillation frequency of 2.373GHz has been measured. Test results as a doppler sensor shows that doppler signal voltage of about 190mV has been obtained for conducting plate moving 1 meter away from the sensor. And, doppler signal voltage has been linearly increased to the ground from 4.5m height by free-falling the sensor.
The design of VCO using OTA as active element is discussed in this paper. Several Quadrature oscillator structures ere presented. They use only OTAs and capacitors end are very useful for IC fablication. The frequency of oscillator, $\omega_0$ are proportional to the gm of the OTA and the structures are appropriate for high frequency yea and sinusoidal oscillator operation.

In this paper a push-push oscillator using DR (dielectric resonator) at K-band is designed and constructed. Two identical oscillators are arranged in a push-push configuration that has the frequency of oscillator that is twice frequency each oscillator. A dielectric resonator is placed at the input of an active two-port device(FET) yielding a stable frequency source. The oscillators realized with this technique exhibit excellent spectral purity and cancellation of fundamental frequency.
