K-mean cluster analysis classified into 4 coping types with consumption stress coping. 15% of the sample were included to the passive coping type, and 25% were classified into the ambivalent coping type. 26.8% of the sample were identified to the active coping type, and 35.2% were maladaptive coping type. There were significant differences among the consumption stress coping types on education, family income, social class, health status, consumption stress after purchase. In the behavior problem, children from low-income families were higher than children from middle-income families. (2) The stress coping strategies(active/ social support) in children from low-income families were related with internal behavior problem(anxiety /withdrawal). And the emotion regulation ability was related to the children's behavior problem. (3) Regression analysis model showed that emotion-regulation ability was the most influential factor to the children's behavior problem, and children from low-income families with aggressive coping strategy showed hyperactive behavior problem. So, the education/therapy programs for children from low-income families have to be developed and practiced in schools, local children centers and so on.

  • This study purposed to examine how school violence victims' coping behaviors are affected by locus of control and social support. Two hundred and thirty fifth and sixth graders from four elementary schools in Seoul filled out School Violence Scale reports of the Seoul Council for Safe School (2002), Attributional Style Questionnaire (Weinstein, 1980) revised by Young Sil Im(2004), Social Support Appraisal Scale (Dubow & Ulman, 1989) revised by Myung Sook Kim(1994), and Stress Coping Behaviors reports(Park & Chung, 2001). The data were analyzed with the descriptive statics and t-test. The results of this study were as follows: First, more children showed internal locus of control than external one under negative circumstances. School violence victims perceived family's support to be more important than friend's and teacher's support. Their coping behaviors were partitioned in the order of active, aggressive, passive/avoidant, and social support seeking. Second, children with internal locus of control used more passive/avoidant coping behavior than those with external one. Third, children who perceived high social support from family used more active and social support seeking coping behavior. Children who perceived low support from friends used more passive/avoidant coping behavior while those with low support from teachers used more aggressive coping behavior. In conclusion, there are differences in stress coping behaviors by victims of school violence based on their internal or external locus of control and perceived social support.

  • This study investigated the relationships among factors in the caregiving process for caregivers with older parents. A model was presented to help identify some of the dynamics in he family caregiving process Fifty-nine caregivers participated in the study. They were adult chldren who were currently providing care to at least one older parent. Using LVPLS program support for the proposed structural equation model was found through the identification of paths among the variables, The findings indicated that the experience of life events was negatively associated with perceptions and positively with active coping A positive relationship was found between perceptions and active coping. Past relationships had positive effects on perceptions and relationships with parents. Active coping was negatively associated with the relationship with parents. whereas perceptions were not a good predictor for the relationship with parents. The results of the family caregiving process model demonstrated that past relationships and perceptions of caregiving were related to current caregiving experiences with older parents.

The subjects in this study were 491 beginning early childhood teachers working in kindergarten and child care centers across the country. Stress coping strategies questionnaire(Chang-Soon Park, 2005) and role performance questionnaire(Bog-Mae Park, 2011), and self-leadership questionnaire(Dong-Hyen Park,2014) were used for this study. For the research analysis, frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficient, and Pearson's correlation were calculated and regression analysis were conducted. The results are as follows. Firstly, it was revealed that passive stress coping strategies does not have statistically meaningful influences on role performance, but active stress coping strategies have statistically meaningful positive influences on role performance. Also, 491 beginning early childhood teachers' active stress coping strategies have statistically meaningful positive influences on role performance through the mediation of self leadership. That is, the results explain that the higher the self-leadership of beginning early childhood teachers is, the higher the role performance that they have experienced is. It shows that beginning early childhood teachers'self leadership mediates partially between active stress coping strategies and role performance. Through this study, it is possible to provide basic information to configure the subject content that enhance their self-leadership and develop active stress coping attitudes in a curriculum for beginning early childhood teachers.
