Nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2), a transcription factor, controls the expression of genes encoding cytoprotective proteins, including antioxidant enzymes that combat oxidative and electrophilic stress to maintain redox homeostasis. However, recent studies demonstrated that, in cancer, aberrant activation of Nrf2 by epigenetic alterations promotes high expression of cytoprotective proteins, which can decrease the efficacy of anticancer drugs used for chemotherapy. In this review, we summarize recent findings regarding the relationship between oxidative stress, Nrf2, epigenetic modification, and anticancer drug resistance, which should aid in development of new strategies to improve chemotherapeutic efficacy.

Cancer is frequently considered to be a disease of the cell cycle. As such, it is not surprising that the deregulation of the cell cycle is one of the most frequent alterations during tumor development. Cell cycle progression is a highly-ordered and tightly-regulated process that involves multiple checkpoints that assess extracellular growth signals, cell size, and DNA integrity. Cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) and their cyclin partners are positive regulators of accelerators that induce cell cycle progression; whereas, cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (CKIs) that act as brakes to stop cell cycle progression in response to regulatory signals are important negative regulators. Cancer originates from the abnormal expression of activation of positive regulators and functional suppression of negative regulators. Therefore, understanding the molecular mechanisms of the deregulation of cell cycle progression in cancer can provide important insights into how normal cells become tumorigenic, as well as how cancer treatment strategies can be designed.

UCC paradigm based on Web 2.0 has made new business models and came to the forefront as a commercial media. The purpose of this study is to analyze the customer attitudes toward UCC and its effects as a commercial media. Based on prior studies of Internet and Web advertising, informativeness, entertainment, irritation, trust, usefulness, ease of use, incentives, and flow were identified as affecting factors of the attitude of UCC advertising. Results show that informativeness, entertainment, irritation, trust, ease of use, and flow are significantly related to the attitude of UCC advertising, but usefulness and incentives are not. Customer attitude toward UCC advertising was also found to be significantly related to the such effects as brand attitude, word of mouth, and intention to buy. This study contributes to improve the understanding of UCC as a commercial media and provides the base of activation strategies for it.

The economic growth that depended on IT industry is reaching to a limit. In order to overcome the limit, the convergence industry that makes new market and products is essential. However, companies preparing a jump into the convergence industry must understand the exact visions and characteristics of convergence. Therefore, we investigated the structural changes of industries caused by convergence and importance characteristics of convergence. Also, we demonstrated the current status of the convergence industry and analyzed economical, social/cultural, and technological environments that the companies are facing, and elaborated the opportunities of convergence. At last, we suggested basic requirements and strategies for companies starting a convergence business and IT utilization methods to accelerate the convergence business activation.

China's logistics industry is an growing one at a very higher rate, owing to the rapid expansion of the country's industrial base and the rise of domestic consumer markets. Essential to the development of china's economy, policy makers have paid constant attention to the logistics sector which is attracting growing volumes of both foreign and domestic investment. The inefficiencies are exacerbated by a number of factors such as transportation bottlenecks, regulatory constraints and local barriers to entry. Foreign and foreign-invested logistics companies have typically cornered the express delivery (for example DHL, FedEX), sea freight forwarding and specialized logistics services (for example Hanjin Shipping). The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the activation of Korean companies' entry into China's logistics market by studying the strategies and types for Korean companies enter into China's logistics Market.

The third party logistics(3PL) is given a definition as logistics activities providing a comprehensive logistics services, all or partly outsourced by the customer on long-term contract basis, ranging from making logistics strategies to implement information technology services. The growth of the Third Party Logistics (TPL) business has been caused many firms to penetrate into the field from different industries. In this study, it is presented to describe a definition and development process of the third party logistics and shown to present strategic issues comparing to third party logistics in foreign and domestic area. and apply to some issues of importance when managing the continued TPL business strategy in domestic area.

The most of national industrial complex were developed and supplied not according to the requirements of enterprise but the needs of the government. And it leads to current serious out of balance in demand and supply of industrial complex. Buckpyoung industrial complex started sale from when the industrial complex developed in 1995 however the unsold percentage of it was 67% until in October,2005. And this result was ranked the top in the unsold percentage among the 42 national industrial complex in korea. In this paper we research how to accelerate the sale of Buckpyoung industrial complex and to reinvigorate local economy and present the constitution of building material cluster and physical distribution system as the results of our research.

Graphene has been widely considered a promising candidate for high-quality chemical sensors, owing to its outstanding characteristics, such as sensitive gas adsorption at room temperature, high conductivity, high flexibility, and high transparency. However, the main drawback of a graphene-based gas sensor is the necessity for external heaters due to its slow response, incomplete recovery, and low selectivity at room temperature. Conventional heating devices have limitations such as large volume, thermal safety issues, and high power consumption. Moreover, metal-based heating systems cannot be applied to transparent and flexible devices. Thus, to solve this problem, a method of supplying the thermal energy necessary for gas sensing via the self-heating of graphene by utilizing its high carrier mobility has been studied. Herein, we provide a brief review of recent studies on self-activated graphene-based gas sensors. This review also describes various strategies for the self-activation of graphene sensors and the enhancement of their sensing properties.

In order to efficiently improve teaching and learning methods of the department of Early Childhood Education in cyber universities, this research analysed and assessed the problems of the current situation of lectures of the department of early childhood education. Firstly, this research examined the characteristics of cyber-education and the lecturer's role in it. Secondly, the types and status of management of online-lectures were investigated. Finally, the student management and the variety of interaction taking place online were examined. The plan to vitalize the cyber-education of early childhood education that was suggested in this study was mainly focused on developing excellent educational contents and continual research of cyber-education's method of teaching and learning. Then for the activation of online interaction, technological support and teaching strategies are needed to activate online interaction.

오늘날 정보자료의 디지털화 및 빠르게 확산되고 있는 정보기술의 활용과 이에 따른 정보이용행태의 변화로 이용자들은 자료실에 직접 올 필요성을 느끼지 못하고 있다. 따라서 기존 물리적 공간을 단순히 자료열람의 공간으로서만이 아니라 이용자들이 매우 필요하고 중요한 지적센터와 커뮤니케이션장으로 인식하고 이용할 수 있도록 역할이 바뀌어져야 하며 이와 더불어 이용자들을 위한 정보서비스도 잠재 이용자의 요구와 정보추구행태변화를 수용하여 이용자 개개인을 위한 맞춤서비스로 전환될 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 변화에 맞춰 KT 신사업기획본부 자료실이 실제 어떻게 바뀌고 있는지를 크게 물리적 공간과 정보서비스 두가지 측면에서 제시하고 있다.
