PP/ABS/PC/Nylon-6,6/poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)/poly(oxymethylene)(POM)/poly(vinyl acetate)(PVC)/poly(butylenes terephthalate)(PBT) 블렌드에서 PP-g-SAN 같은 물리적 상용화제와 E-GMA 와 E-EA-MAH-g-SAN 같은 반응상용화제의 복합적인 작용으로 인해 블렌드의 기계적 물성이 증가된 결과를 나타내었다.
This study was performed to investigate the change in the chemical components of red pepper powder using different packaging materials and various storage conditions. Red pepper powders with 11 and 15% initial moisture content were packed with five different materials and stored at different temperatures (0, 20, and 30 C) for a one year period. Over the storage period, each combination was periodically sampled, and examined for composition changes. The five packaging materials were: linear low density polyethylene(LLDPE), nylon/LLDPE(Ny/LLDPE), saran coated ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer/linear low density polyethylene(B650), nylon/Tie/nylon/ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer/nylon/Tie/LLDPE(RDX-2787) and oriented polypropylene/alumimum/LLDPE(OPP/Al/LLDPE), and the three storage conditions were (28.3${\pm}$1.0)$^{\circ}C$ with (15.5${\pm}$2.8)% relative humidity, (18.6${\pm}$0.5)$^{\circ}C$ with (46.6${\pm}$4.9)% RH, and (0${\pm}$2)$^{\circ}C$ with (80${\pm}$10)% RH, respectively. The moisture contents of all samples changed according to the relative storage humidity, except those of the samples packed with OPP/Al/LLDPE, which remained constant throughout the storage period. The capsaicinoids content of the red pepper powder did not change significantly for 6 months, but gradually decreased after that until about 85% of the original amount remained at the final stage of storage. The ASTA color values of all samples decreased gradually throughout the storage period. The higher the storage temperature, the more severe the deterioration. The color deterioration seemed greatly related to the existence of oxygen, as the deterioration was especially severe in the samples packed with LLDPE and B650, where the oxygen transmission rate were highest among the five packaging materials.
The use of droplet digital polymerase chain reaction (ddPCR) has greatly improved the quantification of harmful protists, outperforming traditional methods like quantitative PCR. Notably, ddPCR provides enhanced consistency and reproducibility at it resists PCR inhibitors commonly found in environmental DNA samples. This study aimed to determine the most effective filter material for ddPCR protocols by assessing the reproducibility of species-specific gene copy numbers and filtration time across six filter types: cellulose acetate (CA), mixed cellulose ester (MCE), nylon (NY), polycarbonate (PC), polyethersulfone (PES), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). The study used two species of Chattonella marina complexes as a case study. Filtration rates were slower for NY, PC, and PVDF filters. Moreover, MCE, NY, PES, and PVDF yielded lower DNA amounts than other filters. Importantly, the CA filter exhibited the lowest variance (38-39%) and the highest determination coefficients (R2 = 0.92-0.96), indicating superior performance. These findings suggest that the CA filter is the most suitable for ddPCR quantification of marine protists, offering quick filtration and reliable reproducibility.
This study was to investigated physical properties of lining fabric (Nylon, Acetate, Rayon and Polyester) such as shrinkage, tensile strength, moisture regain and crease resistance. The results were as follows. 1. The number of repeated washing times and the concentration of the detergent almost didn't affect on the change of tensile strength. 2. As washing increase more, the shrinkage of all sample was more increased. In the case of Rayon, it was showed that shrinkage was high by $1{\sim}3$ times washing. In the case of Nylon, it was showed minus shrinkage according to frequency of washing. 3. The moisture regain was very decreased by 1 times washing. But the moisture regain was increased with increase in frequency of washing and resulted in it was showed a similar value with controls. 4. As the frequency of washing and the concentration of detergent increase more, the crease resistance was decreased considerably because the elasticity of fiber decreased by mechanical force such as tension, bending and pressure and alkali.
An attempt was made to determine individual thermal resistances of 2-lining fabrics ad 4-outer fabrics for Korean-styled clothes, and 4-lining fabrics ad 5-outer fabrics for Western-styled clothes at $19^{\circ}C$ and $24^{\circ}C$. The thermal insulation effects for different lining fabrics in Korean and Western-styled clothes were deduced in determining heart rate, rectal temperature, mean skin temperature and microclimates of subjects. The subjects were dressed experimental clothing which were made of lining and outer fabrics in question, and seated in an environmental chamber during the experiment. 1. Thermal resistances of lining fabrics : For Korean-styled clothes. nylon sheer is larger than unzosa. For Western-styled clothes, rayon, acetate, nylon(taffeta) and kalkali in that order. 2. Thermal resistances of lining fabrics combined : with outer fabrics: For Korean-styled clothes. the measured value is larger than the one of simple aggregate value. But in the case of Western-styled clothes, the measured value is smaller than simple aggregate value. 3. The effects of lining on the thermal insulation of the whole clothing: In case when subjects wore unlimited number of underwear, no matter what lining fabrics were used in Korean and Western-styled clothes less thermal insulation effects were indicated. For the case, however, if subjects wore only limited underwear, there are significant differences of thermal insulation between experimental clothings.
Seven commercial lining fabrics normally used in a market were selected: plain-weave fabrics with polyester, nylon, rayon and acetate fiber, and polyester textured yarn, in addition, polyester fabrics with plain, twill and satin weave. Then seam strength, seam efficiency, resistance to slippage of yarns and type of seam destruction were examined related to endurance by textiles in sewing capability of the lining fabrics. In results, as tensile strength was greater, seam strength got greater, which shows tensile strength and seam strength have close relationship. Tensile and seam strength of acetate fabric were the least, but seam efficiency was the greatest. It presents that strong tensile and seam strengths do not show high seam efficiency at the same time. Various types of seam destruction have been shown. When tensile strength of the sewing thread was greater than tensile strength of fabric, fabric destruction was occurred before the sewing thread destruction. When tensile strength of the fabric was greater than seam strength, the sewing thread destruction was occurred. Resistance to slippage of yarns got greater as tensile strength of the fabric got greater. The plain-weave fabric, which tensile strength of fabric was smaller, showed the greater resistance to slippage of yarns than twill and satin weave fabrics. The stretch fabric revealed the optimal lining fabric with the greatest resistance to slippage of yarns.
The protozoan parasite Giardia lamblia has been implicated as the causative agents of many outbreaks of waterborne intestinal illness. Accurate evaluation of Giardia lamblia removal in water treatment process requires a reliable method for measuring the concentrations of these pathogens in water. The relative recovery of Giardia cysts was assessed for seeded samples of distilled water. Cysts preparation was done by encystment in vitro. Membrane filtration was evaulated with cellulose acetate, polycarbonate, polypropylene, polyethersulfone, nylon membranes. Elution conditions were varied to improve cyst recovery.
In one dyeing system of silk/synthetic blend fabrics (polyester, nylon, acetate) with acid dyes/disperse dyes, dyeability and desorptibility of disperse dyes on silk fabric and transfer from dyed silk fabrics to synthetic fabrics by color difference were examined. When silk dyed with C.I. Disperse Red 19 and C.I. Disperse Red 60 at 10$0^{\circ}C$ for 60 minutes, color difference of dyed silk were $\Delta$E=56.72, $\Delta$E=47.65 for blank silk, respectively. The desorption rate of the dyed silks were measured in boiling bath with and without dye-free synthetic fibers. The desorption rate of dyed silk was effected by affinity of synthetic fabrics contained. When silk dyed with Red 19 and Red 60 was reduced at 10$0^{\circ}C$ for 60 minutes, the decolouration rates of dyed silk were 75% and 40%, respecdtively.
