웹 학술정보의 주제게이트웨이 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on Building Subject Gateway for Web Academic Information)

  • 인터넷 정보량의 과잉 문제는 이용자에게 많은 제약을 야기 시키고 있다. 이용자들은 정보탐색 및 검색도구로써 인터넷을 사용할 때에 정보 요구, 기술 수준 또는 교육적 배경과 관계없이 정보량, 탐색, 품질, 그리고 신뢰의 문제들에 직면하고 있다. 고품질의 웹정보자원을 이용자에게 제공하는 웹학술정보 주제게이트웨이는 이러한 문제점들에 대한 해결책의 하나이다. 본 연구는 국외 웹학술정보 주제게이트웨이 서비스들의 설립 및 운영상에 나타난 특징들을 살펴보고, 웹학술정보 주제게이트웨이 서비스를 설립 운영하는데 고려해야할 사항들을 파악한다.

  • 본 연구는 국가 및 대학 차원에서 연구의 활성화를 위해 대학도서관 특성화 정책 도입의 필요성을 강조하기 위하여 프랑스에서 실시 운영되고 있는 CADIST의 도입배경, 역할, 운영방안 등을 고찰하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이 정책의 목적은 기초학문분야를 비롯한 다양한 학문분야의 연구들이 서로 유기적으로 발전할 수 있도록 대학도서관의 특성화를 통해 학술정보의 망라적 수집 및 학술자료의 효율적인 유통을 통한 공동이용에 있다. 전문화 세분화한 학술자료의 수집 및 공동이용은 대학 내 연구의 활성화를 가져왔으며, 이는 대학간 다양화 특성화 지역화를 추진할 수 있는 계기가 되었다. 즉 대학도서관의 특성화 차별화 정책은 대학의 전문화와 지역산업 발전에 크게 기여하고 있다.

대학 미분적분학에서 상호 동료 교수법이 학업성취도 및 학습만족도에 미치는 영향 (The effects on academic achievement and satisfaction of the reciprocal peer tutoring in university calculus)

  • The purposes of the study are to investigate the effects on academic achievement and satisfaction of the reciprocal peer tutoring in university calculus. First, we classified the test group and the control group and then applied the reciprocal peer tutoring to the test group. According to results, the reciprocal peer tutoring is very effective in improving academic achievement. Second, the pre-survey and the post-survey were conducted to the test group. The survey contains five categories including 1) background of the participants, 2) learning objectives and expectation, 3) the intention of the continual learning Mathematics, 4) the individual self-efficacy, and 5) general Mathematics learning satisfaction. We found some facts from the difference between the pre and post surveys. The learning satisfaction has improved after the reciprocal peer tutoring in the test group. Even though this trend has not changed regardless of sex, high school levels and teaching understanding.

Forest therapy program reduces academic and job-seeking stress among college students

  • Background and objective: Recreation or activities in forest are regarded as therapy. Many forest therapy programs have been developed and assessed in the domestic. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of the forest therapy program on academic and job-seeking stress in college students. Methods: Thirty five subjects were selected as the experimental group and 25 as the control group, and 29 subjects in the experimental group and 11 in the control group participated in the follow-up test to verify the persistence of stress reduction effects. The forest therapy program was carried out once a week for 2 hours each from September 4 to December 4, 2018, adding up to total eight sessions. Results: The experimental group showed statistically significant reduction in both academic stress and job-seeking stress, whereas the control group did not. For the persistence of the forest therapy program, the experimental group did not show a statistically significant difference between the posttest and the follow-up test, and thus the stress reduction effect was maintained. Conclusion: This study proved the reduction of academic and job-seeking stress in forest therapy programs and the persistence of the stress reduction effect of the forest therapy program. The result is consistent with the Stress Recovery Theory (SRT) that shows the stress reduction effect of nature. In addition, it has significance in that it has verified that the program using the forest on campus can reduce stress of most college students.

남.녀 초등학생의 신체상에 대한 만족정도와 성 역할 정체감 비교연구 (A Comparative Study of the Degree Satisfaction of Body Image and Sex-role Identity Between Primary School Boys and Girls)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the degree of satisfaction of body image and sex-role identity of primary school boys and girls and to examine their relevance between two sex groups. The data from study would be useful for mapping out some measures for school health education. Two hundred and forty five(245) students of 6th grade from 5 different primary schools in Seoul city and Gyonggi Province were selected for the study. The meaningful difference among demographic sociological characteristics between boys and girls has been shown to be in religion($x^2$=6.705, p=.044), the order of siblings($x^2$=7.455, p=.024), mother's academic career ($x^2$=6.705, p=.035) and the levels of living ($x^2$=4.108, p=.043). In the frequency distribution of sex-role identity, boys and girls were revealed as : undifferentiated 41.0%, 36.4%; as androgynous 24.8%, 25.8% respectively. Boys have masculinity (23.1%), on the other hand girls more feminity (22.7%). The meaningful difference of the degree of satisfaction of body image depends on father's ag(t=3.029, p=.050), mother's occupation(t=2.878, p=.023), home atmosphere(t=9.056, p=.000), level of livin(t=2.216, p=.028), academic achievements(t=4.580, p=.011). Masculine sex-role identity has shown its meaningful difference in mother's academic background(t=7.042, p=.001), academic achievements(t=14.963, p=.000). Feminine sex-role identity according to general characteristics shows meaningful difference in gender(t=2.683, p=.008), the order of siblings(t=3.019, p=0.51), father's academic career(t=5.558, p=.004) mother's academic background(t=7.676, p=.001), mother's occupation (t=3.405, p=.010), home atmosphere(t=4.492, p=.012), school performance(t=16.774, p=.000). Sex-role identity influences on the degree of satisfaction of body image as the relation bet ween the degree of satisfaction of body image and sex-role identity is pro correlative.

학위복 디자인 연구 -서울여자대학교의 UI를 구현한 학위복 개발을 중심으로- (A Study on Academic Costume Design -Focusing on the Design of Academic Costume Representing the University Identity of Seoul Women's University-)

  • This study aims to develop an academic costume design representing the university identity of Seoul Women's University. As a formal dress and uniform symbolizing the dignity of study, academic costume arouses self-esteem of the owner and represents the symbolic order. UI(University Identity) is a system that embodies the identity of the university and create a certain image, and thus actively delivers the image pursued by the university. The study method to develop a new academic costume design of Seoul Women's University includes the theoretical background of UI and academic costume, investigation on the current rendition of academic costume, home and abroad, and a survey to collect the basic data for academic costume design development. Most of the respondents presented negative opinions on the existing academic costume and graduation cap, which do not show any clear distinction from those of other universities. They made a pressing demand for the development of an academic costume that well represents the image of the university by reflecting the university feature and symbol. As a result of the survey, it turned out that they preferred an academic costume with short length balloon sleeves to the exiting one, and that as for neck line and front hook, those of the existing one were preferred. This study developed and presented 9 different models of graduation gowns and 5 different caps based on the theoretical investigation and survey concerning academic costume. It is expected that the academic costume representing the university identity not only arouses self-esteem of the owner, but also enhances the university's position.

한국 대학생의 통학방법과 학업 스트레스 사이의 연관성 -지속가능한 교통과 학업 환경- (Commute Type and Academic Stress among South Korean Undergraduate Students -Sustainable Transport and Academic Environments-)

  • Background: Several previous studies have shown that commuting is a source of stress for undergraduate students. However, few studies have investigated the effect of commuting on academic stress among undergraduate students, and there has been little awareness of the environmental impact of commuting. Objectives: To evaluate the associations between commute type and/or time and academic stress among undergraduate students in South Korea, focusing on environmental sustainability. Methods: We conducted an online survey and obtained information on commute types, commute times, and academic stress from 510 undergraduate students aged ≥19 years. Academic stress was comprised of five sub-categories of stress, and total academic stress ranged from 5 to 25 points. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the associations between commute type and commute time and academic stress. Furthermore, the students were grouped into 21 categories based on their transportation mode for commuting. CO2 emission factors per each commuting category were calculated using the transportation type's CO2 emission data from previous studies. Spearman's correlation analysis was used to confirm the correlation between CO2 emission factors and total academic stress. Results: Students using home-to-school transportation without transfers (vs. walking) showed a significantly higher total academic stress of 2.19 points (95% CI: 0.58, 3.80). In contrast, students using school-to-home transportation without transfers (vs. walking) showed a significantly lower total academic stress of 1.96 points (95% CI: -3.55, -0.38). Moreover, students using transportation with lower CO2 emission factors had lower academic stress scores (home-to-school: correlation coefficient = 0.507, p<0.001; school-to-home: correlation coefficient = 0.491, p<0.001). Conclusions: Our findings suggest that both commute type and time are significantly associated with academic stress among South Korean undergraduate students. When students select environmentally-friendly transportation, they may not only improve their mental health but also improve climate resilience.

우리나라 여대생의 배우자 선택 및 결혼관에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on the View of Choice of Spouse and Marriage of Unmarried Women's College Students)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the view of the choice of spouse and marriage of unmarried women's college students. Most respondents in this study think that the optimum age for marriage is 27 and prefer a seniority in age of 3-4 years who feels in love as the future husband. Also, they wish that the job of future husband be a technical expert. Approximately 63% of respondents recognize the necessity of marriage but 38% of respondents do not show a positive opinion for marriage. They also expect the emotional stabilization or partnership from marriage. Majority of respondents show a negative response to the marriage as means to solve economic difficulties. However, only 25.9% of respondents strongly show the negative opinion. In the acquaintance of the opposite sex in the purpose for marriage, most respondent are negative. However, they are positive in keeping virginal purity prior to marriage. Also, it has revealed that respondents want a partnership through allotment in domestic duties including baby sitting rather than household management through patriarchal system. In household economy, they prefer sharing living expenses and having a job after marriage. In choosing an ideal husband, although the academic background is considered as an important factor, but the present occupation is more important than the academic background. Also, one of the priority to choosing a spouse is influenced by each household circumstance and economic balance. About half of respondents want their parents-in-law to be alive, however, few respondents want to live together with parents-in-law.

사회경제적 지위와 원가족 분화 및 원가족 건강성이 어머니 리더십에 미치는 영향 (The effect of social and economic position and differentiation from family-of-origin and family-of-origin health on the mothers' leadership)

  • 연구에서는 만 5세 유아를 둔 어머니의 사회경제적 지위와 어머니가 지각한 원가족 분화, 원가족 건강성, 어머니 리더십이 어떠한 관계가 있으며, 부모 리더십에 가장 영향력을 미치는 변인이 무엇인지를 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 경기 및 인천지역에 위치한 어린이집과 유치원에 다니고 있는 만 5세 자녀를 둔 어머니 288명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, SPSS 17.0 프로그램을 이용하여 단순상관관계, 위계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 사회경제적 지위와 원가족 분화, 원가족 건강성, 어머니 리더십간의 상관분석결과 어머니 리더십은 학력과 원가족 분화 및 원가족 건강성과 높은 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 어머니 리더십에 영향을 미치는 변수들의 상대적 영향력을 살펴본 결과, 학력과 원가족 건강성이 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

한국인 학자와 영어 원어민 학자의 논문 영문 초록 비교 분석

  • Most if not all research articles published in journals require the author to write an abstract regardless of academic field. However, abstract writing in English is a highly specialized genre on its own. In this light, the purpose of this study is to investigate differences in journal article abstracts written in English by Korean and native English scholars. 90 research paper abstracts written in English by Korean national scholars, US-educated Korean scholars and native English scholars were compared according to rhetorical organization. A generalized rhetorical scheme was used in analysis which was based on Graetz (1985) and Swales (1990): Background-Purpose-Method-Result-Conclusion. In addition, the use of conjunctions as a cohesive device was analyzed based on the categories proposed by Halliday and Hasan (1976). Analyses of the research paper abstracts showed that the majority of the abstracts included the purpose, method and result components. However, while approximately 70 percent of native English writers used research background in the abstract, only 26 percent of Korean national scholars did so. Regarding the use of conjunctions, Korean-national scholars overused and inappropriately used additive and temporal conjunctions. The US-educated Korean scholars showed similar patterns to the native English speakers. The findings obtained here imply that there is a need to provide academic writing instruction of abstracts to non-native scholars.
