Background and objective: Understanding abstract art as an art form requires depth of thought. Moreover, understanding land art as abstract art is challenging, given its focus on the minimalism and abstract concepts. Much focus, research, and work were actively conducted in the 1970s, as it represented an abstract expression of minimalism. The characteristics of minimalism connote abstract meanings in the use of materials. Nevertheless, the original research of works or artists has often been mentioned, but few studies have analyzed the abstract language of land art materials. The aim of this study is to thus determine the abstract meanings of materials in land art from the 1970s to the 2010s. Methods: Art-based research was employed to address the aim. This study classified the land art materials into intangible and tangible materials, where intangible materials focused on lines, circles, and labyrinths, and tangible materials focused on the earth, stones, wood, and snow. Results: Intangible and tangible materials of land art conveyed various abstract meanings. Intangible materials were reflective of connection and symbiosis with nature, delivering abstract languages of 'take-nothing,' 'reflection' and 'opportunity.' Tangible materials reflected the abstract concepts of 'intervention,' 'resistance,' 'unliving,' and 'change,' and conveyed caveats. In other words, taken together, intangible and tangible materials were presented in symbiosis-and with caveats-and delivered messages for the present and the future. Interestingly, intangible materials inherently reflect symbiosis and communicate caveats in works based on a non-contextualized present and future. Conclusion: Interpretation of the abstract languages derived from intangible and tangible materials could imply a symbiosis between humans and nature, while conveying the message that caveats, to humans, are still ongoing. This relationship plays a significant role in an artist's selection of a medium, which is reflective of abstract beliefs reflected in contemporary, nature-based works created on Earth.
Nowadays, most web sites are developed using dynamic web pages where web pages are generated and transmitted by web application programs. Therefore, the ratio of attacks injecting malevolent strings to vulnerable web applications is increasing. In this paper, we present a static program analyzer which analyzes whether a web application program has vulnerabilities to the SQL injection attack and the cross site scripting(XSS) attack. To analyze programs using abstract interpretation framework, we designed an abstract domain which models potential string set along with excluded strings and developed an abstract interpreter for the PHP language. Also, based on them, we implemented a static analyzer. According to our experiments, our analyzer has competitive analysis speed and accuracy compared with related research results.

We present a simple and effective method to reduce loop-related false alarms raised by buffer-overrun static program analyzer. Interval domain buffer-overrun analyzer raise many false alarms in analyzing programs that frequently use loops and arrays. Firstly, we classified patterns of loop-related false alarms for loop-intensive programs, such as embedded programs or mathematical libraries. After that we designed a simple and effective false alarm refiner, specialized for the loop-related false alarms we classified. After the normal analysis of program in which alarms considered as false. We implemented this method on our buffer-overrun analyzer with the result that our refinement method decreased the number of false alarms by 32% of total amount the analyzer reported.
This article analyses the concept of medicine in the legal context. It is not easy to define the concept of medicine because medical practice has various dimensions and the situation in which the practice is performed has a broad variety. The duty of medical law is to build the boundary of protection in that the nature of medicine would not be distorted by the factors of social systems like industry or governmental authorities. Without understanding the various dimensions - especially the dimension of Humanities and Sociology - of the medicine it is not possible to draw the limit on the performance of medicine appropriately. Concerning the medical practice (especially in the context of the regulation of medical licence), the enacted law (Medical Act) defines the concept just for form's sake and it finally depends on the interpretation of the legal enforcement authorities. Moreover, between the judgments of the courts there exists no coherent principles for the regulation and the interpretation of the Medical Act depends often on the riskiness, the abstract concept, which finally leads the interpretation to depend on the subject of the practice. On the contrary, the development and scientific movement of the technology tends to tighten the range of the medical professionals of medical practice and the perspectives of the medicine. Medical act is actually oriented at the patient's understanding of him- or herself. The above-mentioned tendency of the interpretation and the legal policy could lead the medicine away from its nature.
The objectives of this study were to measure the preference and purchase intention on Korean traditional motifs and to investigate the relationship among preference, purchase intention, and sensibility. The subjects consisted of 217 male and 351 female US undergraduate students. The experimental materials used in this study were 48 stimuli and a questionnaire, composed of 7-point semantic differential scales of 17 bi-polar adjectives. The data were analyzed by ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test, Regression, and t-test. The major findings were as follows; First, interpretation type and application object had significant effects on the preference, while category and interpretation type had significant effects on the purchase intension. The application of Korean traditional motifs for pattern design was preferred to their application for clothing design. Decorative type was found to be more related to the preference and purchase intention than the other interpretation types of realistic, stylized and abstract types. The purchase intention on crain motif was lower than the other categories of lotus and cloud motifs. Second, in overall, the preference on Korean traditional motifs was higher than purchase intention. Third, the preference and purchase intention were affected mainly by 'Quality' image, a component of sensibility, followed by 'Cheerfulness' image, but not affected by 'Simplicity' and 'Modernity' image.
The main aim of this paper is to show that Gadamer's notion of historical constraint of interpretation is an unsuccessful theoretical postulation. Gadamer tries to present the limits of knowledge and interpretation in terms of his notion of understanding as an event. According to Gadamer, interpretation is bound to be incomplete by nature, and this leads to the thesis of "the uncertainty of interpretation". Although Gadamer seems to make his case successfully against the objective and ahistorical frame of interpretation, his thesis of the uncertainty of interpretation inevitably brings up the fear of nihilistic relativism. To meet this problem, Gadamer offers a constraint of hermeneutic situation, which is derived from the historicity underlying all forms of our existence. Nevertheless, the notion of historicity as the essence of human life does not seem to explain successfully how the actual content of an interpretation is constrained. Drawing on the experientialist notion of 'the embodied understanding", I suggest that the working constraint of interpretations can be appropriately found in the commonality of human experience which is conspicuous at the bodily and physical level of experience. In sum, interpretations, as part of mental and abstract level of experience, arise out of the bodily and physical level of experience, and at the same time strongly constrained by it.
The purpose of this work aims to analyse the principles of good faith under international transaction with CLOUT and UNILEX cases. Article 7(1) CISG sets the stage for the interpretation by promoting a uniform approach using good faith and the international charter of the convention. In other words, article 7(1) defines the purpose and the principle of interpretation and is applied to the Convention as a whole. As such, it also includes article 7(2), which goes beyond the big picture and settles the problems of gap filling. It is also important to understanding that the mandate of the CISG is to look for a solution, which is not only restricted to interpretation but extends to solving a problem. The problem in this work is to find out how gap filling is achieved and, because of the autonomous mandate of interpretation, to explain and understand its relationship with domestic law. The solution to the interpretation of article 7(2) must be found within the four corners of the CISG. To restate, article 7(2) describes two situations where gap filling is needed. First, if the matter is governed by the Convention but not expressly settled, then a gap must be filled in conformity with general principles on which it is based. Second, if the matter is not covered then the gap must be filled taking domestic law into consideration. There are two reasons why a matter may not be covered by the Convention. First and most obviously, it has been specifically exclude from the sphere of Application by the CISG itself, such as validity in article 4. Second, changes in business methods will lead to gaps. The United Nations has established a service known as CLOUT. This contains abstracts of hundreds of selected decisions of both courts and arbitration tribunals. And UNILEX is cosponsored by the Italian Centre for Comparative and Foreign Law Studies and UNIDROIT Contract Principles. The cases are in abstract format, but, when available, the full text of the case in the original language is also supplied.
