  • In the present paper we study the Cauchy problem in a Banach space E for an abstract nonlinear differential equation of form $$\frac{d^2u}{dt^2}=-A{\frac{du}{dt}}+B(t)u+f(t, W)$$ where W=($A_1$(t)u, A_2(t)u)..., A_{\nu}(t)u), A_{i}(t),\;i=1,2,...{\nu}$,(B(t), t{\in}I$=[0, b]) are families of closed operators defined on dense sets in E into E, f is a given abstract nonlinear function on $I{\times}E^{\nu}$ into E and -A is a closed linar operator defined on dense set in e into E which generates a semi-group. Further the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the considered Cauchy problem is studied for a wide class of the families ($A_{i}$(t), i =1.2...${\nu}$), (B(t), $t{\in}I$) An application and some properties are also given for the theory of partial diferential equations.

  • Genetic algorithms can be effectively used when generating abstract images in an automatic way. However, managing huge number of automatically generated images has been problematic without sufficient managing mechanisms. This paper presents effective classification scheme for the abstract Affine images using form, emotion and color facets, and implements image databases.

  • A functional central limit theorem is obtained for a stationary multivariate linear process of the form (no abstract. see full-text) where{ $Z_{t}$} is a sequence of strictly stationary m-dimensional negatively associated random vectors with E $Z_{t}$=O and E∥ $Z_{t}$$^2$<$\infty$ and { $A_{u}$} is a sequence of coefficient matrices with (no abstract. see full-text) and (no abstract. see full-text).text).).

  • Let $(B, H, p_1)$ be an abstract Wiener space and $F(B)$ the Fresnel class on $(B, H, p_1)$ which consists of functionals F of the form : $$ F(x) = \int_{H} exp{i(h,x)^\sim} df(h), x \in B, $$ where $(\cdot, \cdot)^\sim$ is a stochastic inner product between H and B, and f is in $M(H)$, the space of complex Borel measures on H. We introduce an $L_1$ analytic Fourier-Feynman transforms for functionls in $F(B)$. Furthermore, we introduce a convolution on $F(B)$, and then verify the existence of the $L_1$ analytic Fourier-Feynman transform for the convolution product of two functionals in $F(B)$, and we establish the relationships between the $L_1$ analytic Fourier-Feynman tranform of the convolution product for two functionals in $F(B)$ and the $L_1$ analytic Fourier-Feynman transforms for each functional. Finally, we show that most results in [7] follows from our results in Section 3.

  • In the integration of Sommerfeld type for space domain Green's function, a accurate closed-from Green's function method provides more exact solution than the typical complex image method and two-level method. The accurate closed-form Green's function method is applied to obtain the space domain Green's functions of planar structures with general sources. Please put the abstract of paper here.

  • Process of thinking on the form in product design includes the process in which unclear requirements are transformed into defined concepts, and the process in which the design as a form conforming to the concepts in conc1uded.(The former is called fconceptualizationJ which deals with abstract matters, and the latter "manipulation of the formJ which deals with more embodied matters) In conceptualization process the operation which transform the diverse requirements in the initial phase of de\ulcornersign to related linguistic expressions or to an image that directly suggests the form is executed. In the process of manipulation of the form the transformation to design as the description of relationships between the formal elements of the design solution resulted from the transformed requirements. It is the job of selecting the most suitable formal elements, balancing the relationships between them, out 01 the possibilities that reside in the individual attributes of formal elements, and finally leading to the design as the end solution. This writing focuses down to the wilfulness and ambiguity of design, and the diversity of design solution after the requirements, formal elements, and the process of relating the formal attributes to each other is built up the two phases.ases.

  • This paper examines nursing professionals' English abstract to learn their preferences towards tense and voice choices. A total of 24 abstracts, completed reviews to be published by the editorial board members of the Korea Industrial Nursing Association, were analyzed for the study. Each sentence in the four parts of the abstract (Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusion) was examined and classified into active/passive voices, and present/past/present perfect tenses. Verbs were then further identified to see which ones were commonly preferred to state the objectives of the study, methods, and to draw conclusions. Hedging expressions in Conclusion were also examined. The results of the present study revealed that Purpose was mostly (79%) stated in the past tense with slight use (17%) of the present tense in the form of 58% active and 42% passive voice whereas Methods were dominantly (96%) illustrated in the past tense with preference of mixed active and passive voice. The Results were also preferably (92%) stated in past tense and Conclusion in both present and past tense. Verbs used by these nursing professionals seemed diverse; however, hedging appeared to be narrowly limited to a few expressions including suggest and should. More diverse English hedging expressions need to be taught at least college level writing so that the EFL learners and writers can have a better understanding of presenting statements in an appropriate level of caution, confidence, or uncertainty.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the architectural device for two places to be perceived as having distinct characteristics from each other. A residence of Yi Dynasty is selected as the object appropriate for this purpose and analyzed accordingly. The result of the analysis can be presented on two demensionis one is that of the concrete form and the other is that of the abstract meaning generated by the form. It is meaningless to employ the form of the architecture of the past in today's architecture. The language of the architecture of the past must be reinterpreted into that of tody. This means understanding and expressing the meaning of the architecture of the past, using the form and materials available today. Without limiting its scope to figuring out "the architectural device for giving destinction" on the formal demension. this study tries to clarify the meaning generated by the form, on which its significance can be said to lie.
