해양용 로프의 내마모성에 관한 연구 (Study on Abrasion Resistance of Mooring Ropes)

  • The laboratory inspection and analysis of several types of ropes such as edge tensile test, D/d tensile test and abrasion test were carried out in order to investigate the abrasion degradation by external damage and to obtain the fundamental data for measurement against the abrasion. PET ropes were socketed and evaluated under tensile testing. A yarn-on-yarn abrasion test machine has been developed to study the damage and failure associated with rubbing between fiber surfaces. The abrasion test method consists of sliding a length of interwrapped yarn against itself in a reciprocating fashion, either dry or immersed in liquid. It has also been adapted to measure yarn-on-yarn friction. The influence of spin finish on yarn friction and abrasion was investigated extensively. This study indicates that finish has a major effect not only on yarn performance but also on rope performance under the marine environment.

Durable Press 가공된 레이온직물의 물성변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Physical Properties of Durable Press Finished Rayon Fabrics)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the optimum treatment [condition for the Durable press finish of viscose rayon fabrics. Three types of commercial N-methylol crosslinking agents were applied to the fabric utilizing the pad-dry-cure technique. Changes in physical properties were evaluated for the various resin and catalyst concentrations. For DMU, the effect of different catalysts, $MgCl_2$ and $NH_4Cl$, were also compared. DMU treated fabrics showed in crease recovery angle, tensile strength and tearing strength but drastic decrease in abrasion resistance. DMDHEU and MDMDHEU treated fabrics were similar in most physical properties. However, DMDHEU treated fabrics were better in crease recovery angle and stiffness, and MDMDHEU treated fabrics were better in tensile strength, tearing strength and abrasion resistance. For a given resin system, crease recovery angle, tensile strength and stiffness increased with a increase in resin concentration. Tearing strength showed very little change, while abrasion resistance was decreased significantly as the crease recovery angle was increased. For the treatment of DMU, $MgCl_2$ catalyst was much better than $NH_4Cl$ in all physical properties. When $NH_4Cl$ catalyst was used, strength reduction and discoloration were observed. As the catalyst concentration increased, crease recovery angle, stiffness were increased. Tensile strength and tearing strength were increcased than control but at high catalyst concentration, the strength were decreased and abrasion resistance was significantly lowered. DMDHEU and MDMDHEU were more sensitive to catalyst concentrations than DMU.

원통형 단판적층재의 접착성 및 도장처리에 따른 표면내구성 (Bonding Quality of Cylindrical LVL and Surface Durability by Its Painting)

  • 원통형 단판적층재(LVL)의 구조재 이외의 공예재 등의 용도개발을 위하여 원통형 단판적층재의 내수접착성과 도장처리에 따른 내마모성 및 표면경도를 측정하였다. 레조시놀 수지와 경화제(paraformaldehyde)를 100 : 5의 혼합비로 하여 접착 경화한 원통형 단판적층재의 전체적인 접착층에 대한 삶음박리 접착력은 양호한 편이었다. 내마모성은 횡단면이 접선단면보다 상대적으로 우수하였으며, 접선단면에 자외선 차단 오일을 도장 처리한 경우 내마모성이 향상되었다. 표면경도는 횡단면의 경우, 낙엽송 중심재가 라디에타소나무 단판적층 부위보다 높았고, 접선단면의 경우에는 접착층 부위가 단판부위보다 높게 나타났다.

목재의 기계적 성질, 내마모성 및 난연성 개선을 위한 진공가압 멜라민 수지함침처리 (Vacuum Pressure Treatment of Water-Soluble Melamine Resin Impregnation for Improvement of Mechanical Property, Abrasion Resistance and Incombustibility on Softwood)

  • 진공가압 수지함침 처리에 의한 목재의 휨강도, 경도 및 내마모성 향상을 위하여 침엽수 3수종에 수용성 멜라민 수지를 수지농도와 처리시간별로 진공가압 처리한 후 수지함침 열압축목재(compreg)를 제조한 다음 물성을 검토하였다. 또한 같은 수종에 수용성 난연제를 도포처리하는 방법과 진공가압 후 열압처리 방법으로 제조한 다음 난연성 향상정도를 측정하였다. 수지의 농도가 높을수록 휨강도 및 브리넬 경도는 증가하였고 내마모성은 향상되었으나, 처리시간과는 일정한 경향이 없었다. 난연성은 도포시험편 보다 진공가압처리 시험편이 총 방출열량이 감소하여 진공가압처리에 의한 난연성 개선 방법이 효과가 있었다.

소수성 특성을 이용한 저점도 AP 표면처리재의 현장 적용성 연구 (A Study on Field Applicability Evaluation of the Hydrophobic - Low Viscosity Surface Treatment Material for Pavement Preventive Maintenance)

  • PURPOSES : Surface treatment material for pavement preventive maintenance should be inspected field applicability. This study(Part II) aimed to checkup coating characteristics and performance analysis using lab and field tests. The hydrophobic - low viscosity filling material for pavement preventive maintenance is presented in Part I, which is a series of companion study. METHODS : Relative comparison between general asphalt mixtures and surface treatment asphalt mixtures are analyzed and measured for the field application such as indirect tensile strength ratio(TSR), abrasion resistance, crack propagation resistance, temperature resistance, coating thickness, permeability resistance and skid resistance in terms of british pendulum number(BPN). RESULTS : It is found that TSR, crack propagation resistance and permeability resistance is increased as against uncoated asphalt specimen. Abrasion resistance and temperature resistance is secured from the initial coating thickness point of view, which is about 0.2~0.3mm. Skid resistance on the surface treatment pavement is satisfied with the BPN criteria of national highway because of exposed aggregate and crack sill induced pavement deterioration and damage cracks. CONCLUSIONS : The hydrophobic - low viscosity surface treatment material for pavement preventive maintenance is validated on field applicability evaluation based on quantitative analysis of coating thickness and performance analysis using lab and field tests.

불화나트륨 이온도포와 Nd:YAG laser 조사가 치근면 내마모성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of NaF iontophoresis and Nd:YAG laser irradiation on the abrasion-resistance of root surface)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the abrasion-resistance of root surface after NaF iontophoresis, Nd:YAG laser irradiation and combined treatment 50 anterior teeth with flat interproximal root surface that had been extracted due to periodontal destruction were selected. All teeth were treated by the same procedure as conventional periodontal root treatment, such as scaling and root planing, root conditioning with tetracycline HCI(lOOmg/ml, 5min). The pre-treatment weight of each tooth was measured by a dial scale(SHIMADEU Co, LIBROR EB-220HU, capacity 220.000 g, Japan). All teeth were divided into 5 groups as follows: Nd:YAG laser irradiation(group 1, 1 W, 100 mJ, 10Hz, fiberoptic-root surface distance=5mm, $10\;sec.{\times}6times$, EL.EN.EN060, Italy): NaF iontophoresis(group 2, $150{\mu}A$, 4 min}: Nd:YAG laser irradiation following NaF iontophoresis(group 3): NaF iontophoresis following Nd:YAG laser irradiation(group 4): No treatment(control group). Electric toothbrushing (Oral-B, Brown Co, Germany) was conducted during 1 hour($lO\;min.{\times}6\;times$). Subsequently post-treatment weight was remeasured by the same method as pre-treatment weight measurement. The difference of abrasion rate among all groups was statistically analyzed by ANOVA(SAS program). Following results were obtained: 1. The abrasion rate was significantly lower in Nd:YAG laser irradiation group than NaF iontophoresis group(p < 0.001). 2. The abrasion rate was significantly lower in combined groups of Nd:YAG laser irradiation and NaF iontophoresis than either Nd:YAG laser irradiation group or NaF iontophoresis group(p < 0.001). 3. There was no significant difference in abrasion rate according to application order in the combined groups(p > 0.05). 4. The abrasion rate was significantly lower in all experimental groups than control group(p < 0.001). The results suggest that combined treatment of Nd:YAG laser irradiation and NaF iontophoresis on exposed root surface after periodontal therapy can enhance the abrasion-resistance of root surface and may inhibit the root caries development.

  • 신발 밑창용 CIIR에 BR, SBR 및 NBR을 다양한 조성으로 혼합하여 블렌드물의 내마모성과 마찰계수에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. CIIR이 BR에 블렌딩됨에 따라 CIIR이 BR의 결정 형성을 방해하며, 이것이 BR/CIIR 블렌드물의 내마모성을 급격히 감소하는 요인 중의 하나로 작용하는 것으로 이해된다. BR/CIIR 블렌드물에서 BR의 함량이 증가함에 따라 $tan{\delta}$ 피크 면적이 저하하였으며, 블렌드물의 마찰계수도 유사하게 저하하는 경향을 나타내었다. CIIR에 BR을 첨가함에 따라 블렌드물의 응력완화율 및 반발탄성이 감소하였으며, 블렌드물의 반발탄성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 추정된다.

Color Degradation, Hardness and Abrasion Resistance of Coated Black Cherry Lumber

  • In this study, the coating properties and surface performance of exotic cherry wood (Prunus serotina) were estimated, reviewing color difference, hardness and abrasion resistibility in order to evaluate probability as construction interior members such as wall and floor. The reduction effect of color difference was represented in the order of water soluble color stain, water soluble transparent stain, and non-coated lumber. However, the tendency of distinct difference according to wood grain pattern was not found. The wavy grain lumber showed better properties in hardness and resistance to abrasion than quarter grain. In conclusion, it was supposed that the application of wavy grain lumber in wall and floor as interior materials would be acceptable in practicality.

Abrasion of abutment screw coated with TiN

  • STATEMENT OF PROBLEM. Screw loosening has been a common complication and still reported frequently. PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to evaluate abrasion of the implant fixture and TiN coated abutment screw after repeated delivery and removal with universal measuring microscope. MATERIAL AND METHODS. Implant systems used for this study were Osstem and 3i. Seven pairs of implant fixtures, abutments and abutment screws for each system were selected and all the fixtures were perpendicularly mounted in liquid unsaturated poly-esther with dental surveyor. After 20 times of repeated closing and opening test, the evaluation for the change of inner surface of implant and TiN-coated abutment screw, and weight loss were measured. Mann-Whitney test with SPSS statistical software for Window was applied to analyze the measurement of weight loss. RESULTS. TiN-coated abutment screws of Osstem and 3i showed lesser loss of weight than non-coated those of Osstem and 3i (P < .05, Mann-Whitney test). CONCLUSION. Conclusively, TiN coating of abutment screw showed better resistance to abrasion than titanium abutment screw. It was concluded that TiN coating of abutment screw would reduce the loss of preload with good abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction, and help to maintain screw joint stability.

세라믹 코팅이 기계 주조용 알루미늄합금(7075 T6)의 마찰ㆍ마모특성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influence of Ceramic Coating on Characteristics of Friction and Abrasion of Aluminum Alloy(7075 T6) Used in Mechanical Casting)

  • This study deals with the influence of ceramic coating on characteristics of friction and abrasion of aluminum allot(7075 T6) used in mechanical casting. In this research, frictional wear characteristic of ceramic coating materials such as $A1_2O_3$, $Si_3N_4$, SiC was investigated using aluminum alloy(7075 T6) and stainless 403 cast iron under room temperature and normal air pressure. The coating layer was observed using SEM. The conclusions are as follows: 1) Friction coefficients of $A1_2O_3$, SiC and $Si_3N_4$ are obtained 0.63 0.56 and 0.54 respectively. 2) Abrasion resistance of stainless 403 cast iron with $Si_3N_4$ is the best among the ceramic coating materials. 3) Abrasion mechanism of aluminum alloy(7075 T6) coaled with ceramic material and stainless 403 cast iron is caused by brittle fracture. 4) Coating the ceramic material on the aluminum alloy(7075 T6) can effectively increase the antiwear, impact properties, and corrosion resistance.
