  • In this paper, to systematically assess the abandonment risk of main control room (MCR) fire, fire simulations with Fire Dynamics Simulator were performed and abandonment probabilities were estimated for the MCR bench-board fire of domestic reference nuclear power plant. The fire simulation scenarios performed in this study included propagating and non-propagating fires of the MCR bench-board, and the availability and unavailability of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVACS). The following results were obtained. First, temperature was the major abandonment impact factor for the MCR bench-board fire if the HVACS was available and optical density was that if the HVACS was unavailable. Second, the fire scenario contributing the MCR bench-board fire abandonment risk was identified to be only the propagating fire. Third, it was confirmed that the abandonment probability of the MCR bench-board fire for domestic reference nuclear power plant could be reduced by using the fire modeling.

  • Background: Since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, physicians have been the unsung heroes of the pandemic. However, many are about to give up the battlefield. This study investigated the effect of occupational moral injury on physicians' career abandonment intention, taking into account the possible mediating role of emotional exhaustion. Methods: Cross-sectional data collected from 201 physicians were analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS to determine the relationship among physicians' moral injuries, emotional exhaustion, and career abandonment intention. Results: The results indicated that occupational moral injury was positively related to emotional exhaustion and career abandonment intention. In addition, emotional exhaustion was found to play a mediating role in the relationship. Conclusion: To reduce physicians' intention to leave their career, physicians should be prepared for moral injury and psychological issues by offering psychological support and meeting their needs early at both the individual and organizational levels during and after the pandemic.

  • In this Paper, We Empirically Investigated what kind of Risks Exist that Drive high Failure rate of cloud Services, and whether Perception of such risks leads to the Adoption of the Abandonment Option of cloud Services. Such risk Perception is the Individual-level Factor, and we Empirically Tested whether Organizational Contexts such as CEO's Innovativeness and Dandwagon Effect can Moderate the Positive Effects of such Individual-level Risk Perception on the Adoption of Abandonment option. We Collected Survey data from IT Professionals Working for the Small and Medium-sized Companies near Seoul and found that the Perceived Technical Risk and Economic Risk Influence the Adoption of Abandonment Option. Out of two Organizational Contexts, only CEO's Innovativeness Moderates the Positive Influence of Technical Risk on the Adoption of Abandonment Option. Organizational Factors Demonstrated very Limited Moderation Effect on the Influence of Individual-level Perception of Cloud Service Risk on the Adoption of Abandonment Option.

  • The study is to verify the mediating effect of self-compassion in the relationship between abandonment anxiety and relationship addiction. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 250 men and women in early adulthood, using the scales of abandonment anxiety, self-compassion, and relationship addiction, of which 237 were used for the final analysis. Descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were performed using the SPSS 21.0 program, and mediating effects were confirmed using the PROCESS macro. The results of the study are as follows. First, abandonment anxiety showed negative correlation with self-compassion, and positive correlation with relationship addiction. Self-compassion showed negative correlation with relationship addiction. Second, in the relationship between abandonment anxiety and relationship addiction, self-compassion showed a partial mediating effect. Through this study, the relationship between abandonment anxiety and relationship addiction and the effectiveness of self-compassion to manage it were confirmed. Based on the results of this study, the significance and limitations of this study and suggestions for subsequent studies were presented.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of rejection sensitivity and relationship addiction in the relationship between abandonment anxiety and psychological dating violence. For this purpose, data of 400 adult were collected and analyzed, and the structural equations were used to verify them. The measurement tools were the Abandonment Anxiety Scale, the Rejection Sensitivity Questionnaire Scale, Relationship Addiction Questionnaire-30 and Psychological Dating Violence Scale, which were the Revised Conflict Tactics Scales-2 and Appraisal of Partner Control Scale. The results of the study are as follows: First, there was a significant corelation among abandonment anxiety, rejection sensitivity, relationship addiction, and psychological dating violence. Second, there was no direct effect on the relationship between abandonment anxiety and psychological dating violence, but it had an effect on psychological dating violence by double mediating rejection sensitivity and relationship addiction. Based on these results, we confirmed the psychological path that abandonment anxiety affects psychological dating violence, and discussed the need for therapeutic intervention and educational approach in negative interpersonal patterns that are not visible.

  • This study analyzed the factors having an influence on married woman's childbirth abandonment based on the 2011 materials (the 4th year) of PSKC (Panel Study on Korean Children), KICCE (Korea Institute of Child Care and Education). The analysis showed a few results. First, 'educational expenses for children' and 'physical hardship' were the factors having a major influence on the abandonment of another childbirth. Second, there was some difference in the reason for the abandonment of another childbirth according to the current number of children. That is, women with one child gave up another childbirth because of 'hardship to juggle child-care and work', while women with two children showed 'child-care costs' as a more important reason for the abandonment of childbirth. Third, 'age' and 'instrumental value of children' also had an influence on the abandonment of childbirth. Fourth, there was some difference in the factors having an influence on childbirth abandonment according to the current number of children. The research found that the community child-care environment such as 'leisure and cultural facilities' influenced the women with one child, and maternal psychological factor such as 'marital conflicts' influenced the women with two children in their abandonment of another childbirth.

  • With more than 100 years exploration and development of offshore oil, more and more offshore oil fields will gradually lose the economic profit to operate. In this article, to take the target oil field for example, the procedure of decommissioning for FPSO, TCMS, subsea system and well abandonment have been analyzed. Meanwhile, the environment impact and mitigation measure have been proposed. The successful project experience will provide a guide line for the offshore facilities decommissioning and abandonment.

  • We Investigated the Two Additional Effects Regarding the Causal Relationship between the Perceived Risks of cloud Services on the Intention to use the Abandonment Option. First, we Empirically Tested the Moderation Effect of IS Maturity on the Causal Relationship between these Two Variables. Second, we also Investigated the Mediation Effect of Cloud Service Satisfaction on the same Causal Relationship. We could find the Moderation and Mediation Effect only on the Influence of Relational Risk (Which Occurs from the Power Abuse of Cloud Service Providers) on the Intention to sue the Abandonment Option. So, we have better Understanding when and how the Abandonment Option is Attractive in Reducing the Potential Influence of the Relational Risk in using the Cloud Services.

  • Unused well and improperly abandoned wells are a significant threat to groundwater quality. If abandoned wells is not properly filled with material, it can directly channel to flow contaminated and surface water into subsurface and groundwater. The abandonment process is over viewed and the method of filling with impermeable and permeable material is presented for the purpose of proper well abandonment work.

  • Stress refers to various body reactions that occur when humans are stimulated by environmental conditions. The quality of education and flight skills can suffer if flight trainees are constantly subjected to high stress, even in the case of flight trainees, and as a result, it can harm becoming a pilot. It is therefore the aim of this study to identify stress factors (flight training, career, financial support, relationships with family and teachers) that student pilots face, to determine how these factors affect flight and academic immersion and abandonment, and to improve the quality of flight education.
