The study of the properties of PZT thin films deposited on Ru/RuO$_2$ electrode (Ru/RuO$_2$ 이중 전극위에 성장한 PZT 박막의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, in-situ deposited Ru/RuO$_2$ bottom electrodes have been investigated as new bottom electrodes for PZT thin film capacitor application. As a comparison, structural and electrical properties of PZT thin films on Pt/Ti and RuO$_2$ bottom electrodes are also investigated. The use of Ru/RuO$_2$ hybrid electrodes showed better electrical properties in compression with RuO$_2$ bottom electrode. With increasing Ru electrode thickness, the PZT thin films showed preferred orientation along the (110) direction and leakage current of PZT thin films were improved. The PZT thin films on Ru (100nm)/RuO$_2$ electrodes exhibited excellent ferroelectric properties such as remant polarization and coercive field of 7.2 C/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 46.35 kV/cm, respectively.

The electrical properties of SBT thin films according to various post-annealing of Pt bottom electrode (Pt 하부전극 후열처리 온도에 따른 SBT 박막의 전기적 특성평가)

  • Ferroelectric SBT($SrBi_2Ta_2O_9$) thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si substrate using R.F. magnetron sputtering method. The ferroelectric and electric characteristics were investigated with various post-annealing of Pt at $200{\sim}600^{\circ}C$. Compared with SBT thin film which had not post-annealed, the electrical properties and crystallizations of the SBT thin films were relatively improved by the post-annealing of Pt bottom electrode. The crystallization were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrical properties characteristics were observed by HP 4192A and precision LC.

  • Recently, as the industrial demand for small quantity batch production of sheet metal components, the application of dieless forming technology to production of these component rise with the advantages of the reduction in manufacturing cost and time. In dieless forming processes, the determination of moving path of tool plays an important role in producing successfully formed parts. In order to obtain the optimized moving path of tool avoiding forming failure, it is necessary to examine the forming limit of sheet material. Therefore, in this study, as the new criterion to evaluate the formability of sheet material in dieless forming processes FDD(feeding depth diagram) with respect to feeding depth and punch diameter is proposed. Thus, the FDD for the sheet materials of STS304 and Ti-grade2 were obtained from a series of FDT(feeding depth test). In addition the possibility of the application of FLD in judging forming severity in dieless forming processes was investigated by comparing the results of FE analyses based on FLD and experimental FDT.

Characteristics of IGZO Thin Film Transistor Deposited by DC Magnetron Sputtering (DC 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방법을 이용하여 증착한 IGZO 박막트랜지스터의 특성)

  • Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) thin films were deposited onto 300 nm-thick oxidized Si substrates and glass substrates by direct current (DC) magnetron sputtering of IGZO targets at room temperature. FESEM and XRD analyses indicate that non-annealed and annealed IGZO thin films exhibit an amorphous structure. To investigate the effect of an annealing treatment, the films were thermally treated at $300^{\circ}C$ for 1hr in air. The IGZO TFTs structure was a bottom-gate type in which electrodes were deposited by the DC magnetron sputtering of Ti and Au targets at room temperature. The non-annealed and annealed IGZO TFTs exhibit an $I_{on}/I_{off}$ ratio of more than $10^5$. The saturation mobility and threshold voltage of nonannealed IGZO TFTs was $4.92{\times}10^{-1}cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ and 1.46V, respectively, whereas these values for the annealed TFTs were $1.49{\times}10^{-1}cm^2/V{\cdot}$ and 15.43V, respectively. It is believed that an increase in the surface roughness after an annealing treatment degrades the quality of the device. The transmittances of the IGZO thin films were approximately 80%. These results demonstrate that IGZO thin films are suitable for use as transparent thin film transistors (TTFTs).

Effects of Mn and Heat-input on the Mechanical Properties of EGW Welds (일렉트로 가스 용접부의 기계적 성질에 미치는 Mn 및 입열량의 영향)

  • This paper is concerned with effects of Mn and heat-input on the mechanical properties of EGW welds. Four different kinds of welding consumables were fabricated by varying Mn contents such as 1.3, 1.5, 1.7, 2.0%Mn and each consumable was welded for EGW on four heat-input conditions between 190 and 340 KJ/Cm. Mn contents were decreased as heat-input increases and alloy elements (C, Si, Ti, B, Al) to deoxidize easily also revealed similar tendency to Mn. Their microstructure, Charpy impact property and strength were investigated, and it is found that Charpy impact property and strength exhibit a strong dependence on change of microstructure by Mn contents and heat-input. The increase of Mn contents or the decrease of heat-input made the microstructure fine and increase volume fraction of acicular ferrite, thereby leading to the great improvement of Charpy impact property and strength. In case of single EGW, optimum Mn contents are over 1.7% for the toughness and strength.

Effects of Ginseng Total Saponin on methamphetamine-induced Hyperactivity and Striatal Dopamine Increase in Mice

  • The present study was undertaken to investigate the behavioral and biochemical effects of ginseng total sponin (GTS) on methamphetamine-treated mice. GTS (50 or 100 mg/kg) was administered intraperitoneally two times with 2 hour interval. Two hours after the second injection of GTS, methamphetamine (2 mg/kg) was administered subcutaneously. The ambulatory activity of mice was measured by the ti1ting-type ambulometer every 10 min. for 1 hour. Methamphetamine-induced hyperactivity was reduced by GTS. in a dose-dependent manner. To study the neurochemical mechanism underlying the GTS effects, monoamine contents were measured from brain tissues. After 45 min. of methamphetamine injection. mice were sacrificed and monoamine contents were determined from the striatum. Biochemical analysis revealed that GTS reduced the methamphetamine- induced increase in striatal dopamine contents. These observations indicate that inhibition of methamphetamine-induced hyperactivity by GTS is mediated by the modulation of dopaminergic nervous system, and it could be helpful for the therapy of hyperactivity.

Development of Environmental Safety Real-Time Monitoring System by Living Area (생활권역별 환경안전 실시간 모니터링 시스템의 개발)

  • In this paper, a real-time monitoring system for environmental safety by living area is proposed. The proposed system is designed to measure radiation, fine dust and basic living information (temperature) using fixed and mobile measuring equipment, and constitutes a web database that stores data received from the equipment. It also develops web programs for displaying received data on PCs and mobile phones. The results of testing the performance of the system by an authorized testing agency showed that the radiation measurement range was measured in the range of $10{\mu}Sv/h$ to 10mSv/h, which is comparable to the world's highest level, and that the accuracy was measured between ${\pm}6.7$ and ${\pm}8.7$ percent of the measurement uncertainty was measured and normal operation at or below the international standard of ${\pm}15$ percent. In addition, the temperature test was conducted on a section of $-20^{\circ}C$ to $50^{\circ}C$ and normal operation was confirmed in response to the temperature change. Stability of radiated electromagnetic waves was ensured by a suitable judgment. The product's testing in general and high and low temperature environments for about four months after the prototype was made confirmed to be more than five years of durability. The measurement range and accuracy of fine dust sensors are compared with those of companies that measure the air environment, and the performance level is similar through the air quality measurement register.

Preliminary Study on the Ultramafic Rocks from the Chungnam Province, Korea (충남지역에 분포하는 초염기성암의 기원규명을 위한 기초연구)

  • Several ultramafic bodies and ultramafic origin talc deposits are distributed in Chungnam province near the contact zone with Ogchun fold belt They occur as discontinued belt form with northeast trending, and most of them are more or less sepentinized. Major, trace, and rare earth elements analyses were made of the ultramafics from the study area to constrain their origin and genetic relationships. Compared to the primitive mantle estimates of privious workers, the correlations defined by the studied rock samples indicate similar Ni but very lower $Al_{2}O_{3}$, CaO and $TiO_{2}$ contents. It is inferred that source material of the studied rocks might be residual mantle which had undergone a large degree of partial melting event. The REE patterns show relatively flat to enriched in LREE (chondrite normalized La/Yb and Sm/Yb ratios are 1.1-5.2 and 1.2-1.6). Several alternative explaination are possible for LREE enrichment patterns in the studied ultramafic rocks such as 1) enrichment due to late stage alteration, 2) enriched pre-melting composition, and 3) mixing of two components. Based on the result, the LREE enrichment characteristic of the studied rocks might be result from the mixture of two geochemically distinct components; one is depleted residual mantle and the other component which determine the abundances of incompatible elements and responsible for the LREE enrichment.

  • As the internet technologies develop, the geographic information system environment is changing to the web-based service. Since geospatial information of the existing Web-GIS services were developed independently, there is no interoperability to support diverse map formats. In spite of the same geospatial information object it can be used for various proposes that is duplicated in GIS separately. It needs intelligent strategies for optimal replica selection, which is identification of replication geospatial information objects. And for management of replication objects, OMG, GLOBE and GRID computing suggested related frameworks. But these researches are not thorough going enough in case of geospatial information object. This paper presents a model of location service, which is supported for optimal selection among replication and management of replication objects. It is consist of tree main services. The first is binding service which can save names and properties of object defined by users according to service offers and enable clients to search them on the service of offers. The second is location service which can manage location information with contact records. And obtains performance information by the Load Sharing Facility on system independently with contact address. The third is intelligent selection service which can obtain basic/performance information from the binding service/location service and provide both faster access and better performance characteristics by rules as intelligent model based on rough sets. For the validity of location service model, this research presents the processes of location service execution with Graphic User Interface.

Establishment of Analytical Method for Carpropamid in Agricultural Commodities using HPLC-DAD/MS (HPLC-DAD/MS를 이용한 농산물 중 살균제 Carpropamid의 정밀 잔류분석법 확립)

  • This study was performed to establish a single residue analytical method for determining fungicide carpropamid residues in various agricultural commodities. Korean cabbage, apple, brown rice and green pepper were selected as representative crops. Samples were homogenized, extracted with acetone and purified by liquid-liquid partition and Florisil column chromatography. Carpropamid residues were analyzed at 220 nm with reversed phase HPLC equipped octylsilyl and octadecylsilyl column and confirmed using mass spectrometry. ILOQ (Instrumental limit of quantitation) of carpropamid was 2 ng and MLOQ (Method LOQ) was 0.02 mg/kg. Mean recoveries from four kinds of crop samples fortified at three levels (MLOQ, 10LOQ, 100LOQ) in triplicate were in the range of 84~112%. Relative standard deviations of the analytical method were all less than 10%, irrespective of crop types.
