Vaccines can cause adverse reactions, such as soreness, swelling, or redness at the injection site. Some reactions are associated with fever and rash, which are usually mild and transient, and serious side effects are rare. In particular, there are no reports of systemic infection following a COVID-19 vaccination. The authors present a case report of a patient who developed multiple abscesses caused by Staphylococcus aureus after a COVID-19 vaccination. The patient had no previous symptoms or signs of infection. The patient was controlled successfully after surgical and antibiotics treatment.

Intravesical bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) instillation is an adjuvant treatment for non-muscle-invasive urinary bladder cancer. Although most complications associated with BCG immunotherapy are mild and self-limiting, rare albeit serious complications have been reported. Only a few cases of BCG-related rhabdomyolysis have been reported. In this study, we present the case of a 72-year-old woman who developed severe weakness and hyperCKemia following intravesical BCG instillation. A muscle biopsy was performed, and a diagnosis of drug-induced myopathy was made.

Orbital floor fractures are commonly encountered, but the dislocation of the eyeball into the maxillary sinus is relatively rare. When it does occur, globe dislocation can have serious consequences, including vision loss, enucleation, and orbito-ocular deformity. Immediate surgical intervention is typically attempted when possible. However, severe comorbidities and poor general health can delay necessary surgery. In this report, we present the surgical outcomes of a 70-year-old woman who received delayed treatment for traumatic eyeball dislocation into the maxillary sinus due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage and hemopneumothorax. Additionally, we propose a treatment algorithm based on our clinical experience and a review of the literature.

Today, the sports teams are in a highly competitive environment where they don't know what may happen in the near future. While the front-runner teams suffer a serious slump, the teams in lower ladder stacks victories. This recent phenomenon proves that no team can secure the sustainable competitive edge over others. This is the time when a complete change of the mindset about the short-term competitive edge is needed. Therefore, we conducted the case study to the short-term competitive edges by selecting OK Savings Bank Rush & Cash volleyball team(hereafter referred to as OK Savings Bank). Thus, we presented the Transient Advantage Wave which describes the five stages of Initiating-Promotion-Utilization-Reconstruction-Withdrawal as a framework for the case study. Finally, we organized the results of the analysis and based on this result, we discussed the significance and the limitation of the short-term competitive edge that the sports team should pursue. This study contributed to the changes in strategies & tactics of various sports teams by suggesting the new strategy called short-term competitive edges that teams should utilize in order to get the best results in the sports league that has the strong quality of Time-based system.

Acute supraglottitis is characterized by an inflammation and edema of the supraglottic region and a potential life-threatening condition because of its risk for sudden upper airway compromise. Prompt diagnosis, administration of broad spectrum antibiotics, and airway management is pivotal for reducing serious complications. In the immunocompromised host, microorganisms are more likely to elicit mucosal inflammations, thus clinicians should pay attention to those patients for prompt removal of the causes of immune disruption. Here we report a case of acute adult supraglottitis with neutropenia caused by anti-thyroid drug with a review of the related literatures.

The occurrence of neurologic symptoms after cervical manipulation(Chuna treatment) seems to be an uncommon event considering the large number of manipulations performed. The precise incidence is unknown, for only patients with serious complications seek medical care. We recently experienced a 3D-year-old woman who developed sudden neurologic complications after cervical Chuna treatment by a nonprofessional therapist. Whether the manipulation is the major causative factor in the subsequent stroke can be disputable and must be considered in each case. Physicians and patients, however, should be aware that cerebrovascular accidents may occur as a result of cervical manipulation.

One of the most serious complications of regional anesthesia is a neurological deficit. Although such a problem is very rare, obstetric patients may develop paresthesia and motor dysfuntion during the postoperative period in association with number of other factors, including direct nerve trauma, equipment problems, adhesive arachnoiditis, anterior spinal artery syndrome, epidural hematoma or abscess and adverse drug effect. We experienced a case of unilateral paraparesis following epidural anesthesia with 20 ml of 0.75% ropivacaine and $25{\mu}g$ of fentanyl in an obstetric patient.

Headache is one of the most frequent discomforts in human. Its significance is often abstruse, as it may signal serious disease or represent only tension, fatigue, or a migrainous disorder. The International Headache Society(HIS) has developed a new classification and definition system of headache. Retropharyngeal tendinitis is an accepted cause of headache in the list of HIS classification. We experienced an reported a case of retropharyngeal abscess with severe occipital headache.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma of the tracea is rare, but is a very serious critical life-threatening disease.Nearly all the lesions of the trachea are presented as obstructive lesions. Bronchoscopic examination including chest CT, tomogram and air tracheogram are essential for the further definition of these lesions. This is a case report of adenoid cystic carcinoma in a 47 years old male patient. The tumor was located in cervical trachea with wide base and obstructing the lumen almost completely. The patient`s symptom was productive cough and hoarseness for 4 months. The tumor was resected and End-to-End anastomosed. The tumor was confirmed to be adenoid cystic carcinoma histopathologically. The need for removal of tracheal tumor whether complete or incomplete, is clear enough regardless of the histology of the tumor. This patient was treated post-operatively with radiation.

The ocean is very important to mankind for its infinite value in resource storage and utilization. In shallow coastal waters, landfill as well as pollution damage occurs frequently for the promotion of important public and private projects that are the driving forces of national development. In this case, compensation paid for the loss or damage of fishing rights acquired by the fishing community shall be distributed to each individual of the fishing community in accordance with the appropriate balance. In reality, as fishing communities in different sectors coexist, the voting rights of the general meeting of fishing communities are ignored as a minority, and the demand for the rights is ignored by the majority. Many other industries receive fish compensation, even though they have not suffered much damage. As a result serious conflicts between the individuals of the fishing community have caused social problems. Therefore, similar cases are investigated and analyzed to provide a reasonable solution.
