Sampled-Data Observer-Based Decentralized Fuzzy Control for Nonlinear Large-Scale Systems

  • In this paper, a sampled-data observer-based decentralized fuzzy control technique is proposed for a class of nonlinear large-scale systems, which can be represented to a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system. The premise variable is assumed to be measurable for the design of the observer-based fuzzy controller, and the closed-loop system is obtained. Based on an exact discretized model of the closed-loop system, the stability condition is derived for the closed-loop system. Also, the stability condition is converted into the linear matrix inequality (LMI) format. Finally, an example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

  • Automatic guided vehicle(AGV) in the factory has an important role to advance the flexible manufacturing system. In this paper, we propose a novel object-transportation control algorithm of cooperative AGV systems to apply decentralized control scheme based on virtual-passivity. It is shown that the cooperative AGV systems ensure stability and the convergence to scaled multiple of each desired velocity field for multiple AGV systems. Finally, the application of p reposed virtual passivity-based decentralized control algorithm via system augmentation is applied to be the tracking a circle. Also, the simulation results for the object-transportation by two AGV systems illustrate the validity of the proposed control scheme.

  • This study proposes a hardware-in-the-loop simulation (HILS) system based on National Instruments' PXI platform to test power management and operation strategies for DC microgrids (MGs). The HILS system is developed based on the controller HIL prototype, which involves testing the controller board in hardware with a real-time simulation model of the plant in a real-time digital simulator. The system provides an economical and effective testing function for research on MG systems. The decentralized power management strategy based on the DC bus signaling method for DC MGs has been developed and implemented on the HILS platform. HILS results are determined to be similar to those of the off-line simulation in PSIM software.

  • Major issues in water supply service have changed from expansion of service area to improvement of service quality, i.e., water quality and safety, and early response to emergency situation. This change in the service concept triggers the perceptions of limitation with the current centralized water supply system and of necessities of decentralized (distributed) water supply system (DWSS), which can make up the limitations. DWSS can reduce the possibility of water supply outage by establishing multiple barriers such as emergency water supply system, and secure better water quality by locating treatment facilities neighboring consumers. On the other hand, fluctuation of water demand will be increased due to the reduced supply area, which makes difficult to promptly respond the fluctuating demand. In order to supplement this, hybrid water supply system was proposed, which combined DWSS with conventional water supply system using distributing reservoir to secure the stability of water supply. The Optimal connection point of DWSS to existing water supply network in urban area was determined by simulating a supply network using EPANET. Optimal location of decentralized water treatment plant (or connection point) is a nodal point where changes in pressure at other nodal points can be minimized. At the same time, the optimal point should be selected to minimize hydraulic retention time in supply network (water age) to secure proper water quality. In order to locate the point where these two criteria are satisfied optimally, Distance measure method, one of multi-criteria decision making was employed to integrate the two results having different dimensions. This methodology can be used as an efficient decision-support criterion for the location of treatment plant in decentralized water supply system.

A Predictive Virtual Machine Placement in Decentralized Cloud using Blockchain

  • Host's data during transmission. Data tempering results in loss of host's sensitive information, which includes number of VM, storage availability, and other information. In the distributed cloud environment, each server (computing server (CS)) configured with Local Resource Monitors (LRMs) which runs independently and performs Virtual Machine (VM) migrations to nearby servers. Approaches like predictive VM migration [21] [22] by each server considering nearby server's CPU usage, roatative decision making capacity [21] among the servers in distributed cloud environment has been proposed. This approaches usage underlying server's computing power for predicting own server's future resource utilization and nearby server's resource usage computation. It results in running VM and its running application to remain in waiting state for computing power. In order to reduce this, a decentralized decision making hybrid model for VM migration need to be proposed where servers in decentralized cloud receives, future resource usage by analytical computing system and takes decision for migrating VM to its neighbor servers. Host's in the decentralized cloud shares, their detail with peer servers after fixed interval, this results in chance to tempering messages that would be exchanged in between HC and CH. At the same time, it reduces chance of over utilization of peer servers, caused due to compromised host. This paper discusses, an roatative decisive (RD) approach for VM migration among peer computing servers (CS) in decentralized cloud environment, preserving confidentiality and integrity of the host's data. Experimental result shows that, the proposed predictive VM migration approach reduces extra VM migration caused due over utilization of identified servers and reduces number of active servers in greater extent, and ensures confidentiality and integrity of peer host's data.

소규모 무선 센서 네트워크에서 분산 저장을 위한 LT 부호의 OBP 복호 (On-the-Fly Belief Propagation Decoding of Decentralized Luby Transform Codes for Distributed Storage in a Small-Scale Wireless Sensor Network)

  • 본 논문에서는 소규모 무선 센서 네트워크에서 데이터 저장을 위한 분산 LT 부호의 2 가지 복호 알고리즘의 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 복호율이 2.0 이상일 때 OBP 복호 알고리즘의 복호 성공 확률은 약 99%에 이르지만, BP 복호 방식의 경우 n=100일 때 약 50%를 하회하며 n=200일 때 약 70%에 이르는 것을 볼 수 있다. 따라서 소규모 무선 센서 네트워크에서 분산 저장을 위한 LT 부호의 복호 방식은 OBP 복호 방식이 크게 유리함을 알 수 있다.

고분자 전해질 연료전지 시스템을 위한 비선형 상호결합 시스템의 관측기 기반 분산 퍼지 제어기 설계 (Observer-based decentralized fuzzy controller design of nonlinear interconnected system for PEMFC)

  • 본 논문은 고분자 전해질 연료전지 시스템(PEMFC)을 위한 비선형 상호결합 시스템의 분산 퍼지 제어기 설계 기법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 연료전지 시스템의 비선형성을 확인하고, Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) 퍼지 모델링을 통하여 비선형 시스템을 퍼지 모델로 변환한다. 변환된 퍼지 모델을 기반으로 퍼지 관측기를 설계하고 퍼지 시스템을 안정화 시킬 수 있는 분산 퍼지 제어기를 설계한다. 폐루프 시스템의 안정도 조건을 선형 행렬 부등식으로 나타내고, 부등식을 이용하여 제어기의 이득값을 구한다. 마지막으로, 모의실험을 통하여 제어기의 효용성을 평가한다.

  • 본 논문은 시간 지연을 가지는 비선형 상호 결합 시스템에 대한 분산 퍼지 출력 궤환 제어기를 제시한다. Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) 퍼지 모델링을 통하여 비선형 상호 결합 시스템을 퍼지 모델로 표현한다. 상호 결합 시스템의 하위 퍼지 시스템을 안정화 시킬 수 있는 분산 출력 궤한 제어기를 설계한다. 폐루프 하위 시스템들의 안정도 조건을 선형 행렬 부등식으로 나타내고, 부등식을 이용하여 제어기의 이득값을 구한다. 모의실험을 통하여 시간 지연이 있는 비선형 상호 결합 시스템에 대한 분산 퍼지 출력 궤한 제어기의 효용성을 평가한다.

  • In this paper, the control strategy of the tension and speed based a prototype bio-wrap winding machine is developed. The decentralized control strategy using PID control algorithm applied for each subsystem is proposed to control the each system's desired outputs, because the tension of each subsystem effects that of next roll system. The computer simulations and the experiment results are presented to show that the proposed control scheme is feasible for a prototype bio-wrap winding machine.

시간 지연 상호 연계를 가진 비선형 시스템의 분산 적응 제어: 지능적인 접근법 (Decentralized Adaptive Control for Nonlinear Systems with Time-Delayed Interconnections: Intelligent Approach)

  • A decentralized adaptive control method is proposed for large-scale systems with unknown time-delayed nonlinear interconnections unmatched in control inputs. It is assumed that the time-delayed interaction terms are bounded by unknown nonlinear bounding functions. The nonlinear bounding functions and uncertain nonlinear functions of large-scale systems are compensated by the function approximation technique using neural networks. The dynamic surface control method is extended to design the proposed memoryless local controller for each subsystem of uncertain nonlinear large-scale time delay systems. Therefore, although the interconnected systems consist of a large number of subsystems, the proposed controller can be designed simply. We prove that all the signals in the total closed-loop system are semiglobally uniformly bounded and the control errors converge to an adjustable neighborhood of the origin. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed scheme.
