  • This paper is writing about developing magnet power supply. It is very important for power supply to obtain output current in high precision and high stability. As a switching noise and a power noise are the cause of disrupting the stability of output current, to remove these at the front end, low pass filter with 300Hz cutoff frequency is designed and placed. And also to minimize switching noise of the current into magnet and to stop abrupt fluctuations, output filter should be designed, when doing this, we design it by considering load has high value inductance. As power supply demands the stability of less than 5ppm, high precision 24bit(300nV/bit) analog digital converter is needed. As resolving power of 24bit(300nV/bit) analog digital converter is high, it is also very important to design the input stage of analog digital converter. To remove input noise, 4th order low pass filter is composed. Due to the limitation of clock, to minimize quantization error between 15bit DPWM and output of ADC having 24bit resolving power, ${\Sigma}-{\Delta}$ modulation is used and bit contracted DPWM is constituted. And before implementing, to maximize efficiency, simulink is used.

  • Biped robot requires that an energy source and a control part should be installed on the body to realize active system. So, we choose the DC motor having high torque in compact size in this study. In the DC motor serve system, we choose power amplifier with analog configuration, developed the module combined the controller and the driver. We applied this module to robot actuator and studied the response characteristics in an action and a return. Main controller with serve system, loading PIC micro controller, can be load on the robot with light weight.

  • The present technology of dielectric heating welding for synthetic resin sheet has a switching frequency over 10MHz by using vacuum tube elements, and has restrictively been applied to PVC whose dielectric loss is comparably high. The technology, however, has a difficulty in applying to materials which are made for environment and have low dielectric lose compared with other synthetic resin materials. Recently, the application of materials made for environment is increased so that the technology is faced with the limit. In this paper, a high frequency induction heating welder for synthetic resin sheet is designed applying temperature control by indirect heating to solve the problems about direct heating synthetic resin made for environment.

  • Most of the electronics we use today have built-in microcontrollers, which are called embedded systems. In such a small environment, responsiveness is very important for the microcontroller. In this paper, the basic input/output control, timer/counter interrupt operation principle, and understanding of the microcontroller are described. Program logic is proposed to improve throughput and latency by controlling characteristics of service routine and program execution order. The hardware simulations in this paper were verified using ATmega128 and PIC16F877A from Atmel and Microchip.

  • Modeling for utility interactive photovoltaic power generation system has been studied using PSCAD/EMTDC. The proposed model system consists of a simple utility circuit configuration, 3kW of single phase utility interactive photovoltaic system, single phase PWM voltage source inverter module, and feed forward PID controller as control circuit. In the system, the DC current is assumed constant, and the voltage source inverter provides sinusoidal ac current for the loads of utility system. The simulation results are given in order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model. The phases of output voltage of utility system and the output current of the inverter module are compared. Especially, the compensation effect of the photovoltaic system for the unbalanced load is analyzed. and the transient phenomena for a phase to ground fault are also simulated.

  • This paper is described the indirect induction heated boiler and induction heated hot air producer using the voltage-fed series resonant high-frequency inverter which can operate in the frequency range from 20 kHz to 50 kHz. A specially designed induction heater is composed of laminated stainless plates, which have many tiny holes and are interconnected by spot welding. This heater is inserted into the ceramic type vessel with external working coil. This working coil is connected to the inverter and turbulence fluid through this induction heater to moving fluid generates in the vessel. The operating performances of this unique appliance in next generation and its effectiveness are evaluated and discussed from a practical point of view.

  • In this paper We proposed a new method to generate fuzzy logic controllers through genetic algorithm(GA). In designing of fuzzy logic controllers encounters difficulties in the selection of optimized member-ship functions, gains and rule base, which is conventionally achieved by a tedious trial-and-error process. This paper develops genetic algorithms for automatic design of high performance fuzzy logic controllers which can overcome nonlinearities in many engineering control applications. The rule-base is coded in base-7 strings by generated from random function. Which can be presented in discrete fuzzy linguistic value, and using membership function with Gaussian curve. To verify the validity of this fuzzy logic controller it is compared with conventional fuzzy logic controller(FLC) and PID controller.

  • The container crane is one of the most important equipment in container terminal. If its working time in cycle could be reduced then container terminal efficiency and service level can be increased. So there are many efforts to reduce working time of container crane. It means how to design the controller with good performance which has small overshoot and swing motion of container crane. We, in this paper, present a state feedback controller not based on LQ theory but RCGA which means real-coded genetic algorithms. RCGA can search state feedback gains in given objective function. several cases of simulations are carried out in order to prove the control effectiveness of the proposed methods.

  • Many robust controllers have been studied but most are considered in the theoretical point of view and can be used for only specific systems. So, in this paper, a more practical robust controller is proposed based on SMC(sliding mode control) and disturbance observer. The integral sliding mode is used to eliminate the reaching phase and minimizes the steady-state error, and the disturbance observer reduces the chattering due to the switching input for the bounded disturbances. The inevitable chattering of SMC is also removed by replacing the sign function with dead-zone function. The proposed controller has the improved steady-state error and robustness compared to PID controller.

  • The characteristic ratio assignment (CRA) method〔1〕 is new polynomial approach which allows to directly address the transient responses such as overshoot and speed of response time in time domain specifications. The method is based on the relationships between time response and characteristic ratios($\alpha_i$ ) and generalized time constant (T), which are defined in terms of coefficients of characteristic polynomial. However, even though the CRA can apply to developing a linear controller that meets good transient responses, there are still some fundamental questions to be explored. For the purpose of this, we have analyzed several sensitivities of a linear system with respect to the changes of coefficients itself and $\alpha_i$ of denominator polynomial. They are (i) the unnormalized root sensitivity : to determine how the poles change as $\alpha_i$ changes, and (ii) the function sensitivity to determine the sensitivity of step response to the change of o, and to analyze the sensitivity of frequency response as o, changes. As an other important result, it is shown that, under any fixed T and coefficient of the lowest order of s in denominator, the step response is dominantly affected merely by $\alpha_1, alpha_2 and alpha_3$ regardless of the order of denominator higher than 4. This means that the rest of the$\alpha_i$ s have little effect on the step response. These results provide some useful insight and background theory when we select $\alpha_i$ and T to compose a reference model, and in particular when we design a low order controllers such as PID controller.
